Business Has Resumed after Sacred Holidays in Japan

According to a survey recently conducted by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation targeting the manufacturing sector of Japan, India is regarded as the most hopeful country where Japanese businesses should directly invest in the next 10 years. However, as for the next three years, China is still the most hopeful country to invest into.

It is very reasonable that China has failed in obtaining the trust from the general pubic of Japan, especially after the illegal fishing-boat incident around the Senkaku Islands under protection by Japan Coast Guard.

The big difference between the U.S. and China for Japan is that most of the Japanese people do not trust China, most of them trust the U.S.

In a sense, China is crazy. If you want to understand China, you have to carefully check if the Nanjing Massacre truly occurred or which side first attacked the then international city Shanghai in 1937, the Imperial Military or Chinese troops.

In this context, the Chinese Communist Government is truly crazy, behaving arrogant to the Japanese people and trying to steal as many as assets from Japan.

But why? This is the big theme in 2011.

CHAPTER I: American Change in the 2nd Phase

The significance of the 2008 Presidential Election surfaced more clearly last year, namely in 2010.

"The fact that we're going to zero Protestants in the court may not be as significant as the fact that her appointment perfectly reflects the decline of the Establishment, or the WASP Establishment, in America," said David Campbell, associate professor of political science at the University of Notre Dame.

A survey by Pew Research found only 21% of mainline U.S. Protestants had income of $100,000 or more, compared with 46% of Jews and 42% of Hindus.

The percentage of Protestants in Congress has dropped to 55% from 74% in 1961, according to Pew Forum. The corner offices of the top banks, once ruled by Rockefellers and Bakers, now include an Indian-American and the grandson of a Greek immigrant.

In "The Protestant Establishment," Mr. Baltzell pointed to the prejudice and insularity of the elite as the eventual causes of its decline. "A crisis has developed in modern America largely because of the White-Anglo-Saxon Protestant establishment's unwillingness, or inability, to share and improve its upper-class traditions by continuously absorbing talented and distinguished members of minority groups into its privileged ranks."

"The generations of affluence bred a certain kind of casual, passive approach to life and wealth building," he said. "Lots of people just got lazy."

If the next American President should not be from the Anglo-Saxon Protestant class, it would be more clearly understood by Americans and global citizens that the American change has entered its second phase.

CHAPTER II: Gold Prices Reflect American Decline

A Japanese blogger discusses implications of the recent price hike of gold against the dollar.

He thinks it reflects the true decline of America printing and issuing so many dollar bills to make its financial ends meet. The paper money dollar is losing its credit. Rich people in the world start hedging activities, buying gold.

This decline of America as indicated in the hike of the price of gold against the American dollar suggests that a new power should be emerging. The blogger thinks it is China.

Till China becomes more sophisticated and civilized to be a true member of the international powers, rich people in the world would continue to buy gold instead of the American dollar and American financial instruments.

When China has come to act as a reasonable member of the international community, the price of gold will be also settled at a reasonable level, which is his conclusion.

But, I think his scenario is just half reasonable or truthful. China cannot stand alone, from the first thing, as experts know. China needs Japan's help even to stabilize its domestic political status. Chinese economy cannot do away with Japanese help, aid, and favor, either.

Like this, all the speculation about the future world cannot be complete without a good insight into a true balance of power between Japan, the U.S., and China. And, Japan is the most difficult player to understand among G3. It is so as even most of Japanese bloggers cannot fully comprehend it.

CHAPTER III: Captain Tokyo Non-Live

Q: What is this era, do you think?

C.T.: It is, in a historical term, just great, a great era we are in.

Q: How much great?

C.T.: Of course, once two thousand years or two millenniums as you often called. From Abraham to Christ Jesus, it is the first great two millenniums. From Christ Jesus to today, it is the second great two millenniums . Or you may refer to the first 2000 years as a period from the fall of Ur to that of Jerusalem, and the second as a period from the fall of Jerusalem to the fall of European Judaists. In either way, it is just great; a great era we are in.

Q: What is that "Christ Jesus?" Is it your version of "Jesus Christ?"

C.T.: As we are already in the second great 2000 years, we have to change the way calling the greatest and holiest Jesus. People called Him for 2000 years "Jesus Christ" almost in vain. So, we have to change our way calling the greatest and holiest Jesus "Christ Jesus" even in order to celebrate this new two millenniums.

Q: What is this era? I meant it in a more limited time window.

C.T.: It is the start of the last phase of the Industrial Revolution that was launched in England in the late 18th century. It should be also noted that the American War of Independence also erupted around the time of the British Industrial Revolution. The U.S. is one of the main fruits of the Industrial Revolution. But, as with the era triggered by the Industrial Revolution coming into the last phase, the position of the U.S. would also undergo a big change. It should be also noted that the biggest wealth holder is the U.S. that have most leveraged the modern industrial power. But, as with the shift of the era, the wealth the U.S. holds will also change in terms of quality and quantity.

The Industrial Revolution also led to great innovation in development of weapons. It is the U.S. that first invented the most destructive weapon, atomic bombs or nuclear bombs. As the U.S. itself well understands, effect of the Industrial Revolution reached its summit in the U.S. Accordingly, the U.S. naturally symbolizes this era of the last phase of the Industrial Revolution.

Q: Will America continue to dominate the world, say, for the next 2000 years, if any?

C.T.: Everybody thinks that without another Industrial Revolution or Scientific Revolution, mankind cannot survive the next 200 years due to depletion of energy sources or some serious impacts the human technology gives to the nature.

Logically, if the U.S. should lead this Revolution, it would lead the world for the next 100 years. But, for political, cultural, and religious reasons, it is doubtful that the U.S. can maintain its integrity as a single nation as we see today even in the next 50 years.

With the background of the very advanced science and technology, the U.S. will have to face a serious challenge in terms of politics, culture, and religion, which will decide the fate of America in the long future.

Q: What has been the 21st century so far?

C.T.: Very drastic. The 9/11 Terror of 2001 and the 9/15 Lehman Shock are truly historical events, of course, of the 21st century. But, behind the great drama played by America, China has succeeded in launching its industry to a certain level with a scale as large as Japan's.

In this context, this period of time has revealed that the U.S. has to address Islam, Wall Street, and China in a practical term.

Q; What was the year 2010?

C.T.: It was a very difficult year. In the U.S., President Mr. Obama had to carry out a kind of quasi-revolution; in Japan, the pro-Chinese/Korean socialistic DPJ had to carry out a kind of quasi-revolution. Of course, China has to start to face the world as a responsible member of the global power community. G20 nations are being focused on in terms of economic growth, being requested to take some share of global responsibility.

It was not a very good year for mankind. So many leaders failed all over the world.

Q; What will be this year 2011?

C.T.: To be honest, I myself have tried to refrain from thinking about what 2011 would be in these weeks. But, I think it will be a great year,...like, say, flying over Mt. Fuji against rosy sun rays.

Q: Doesn't it look like badly burning, does it?

C.T.:....

Mankind must put an end to war, or war will put an end to mankind.
John F. Kennedy

Watch the little things, a small leak will sink a great ship.
Benjamin Franklin

So, Americans can be trusted, since Chinese elites look like trying to enjoy life as much as possible, while knowing the American proverbs, before war puts an end to mankind and a small leak sinks a great ship.

The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.
Albert Einstein

So, we have to look on China and do something, since they have become crazy to earn big money through Wal-Mart, based on Japanese manufacturing technologies.

Mar 1:4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

Mar 1:5 And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.
