Calculation of Every Second of One's Life
Mathematically, the following calculation of an infinite sequence has no definite solution.
X = 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1...
However, if the right side is modified as follows, the solution is zero.
X = (1 - 1) + (1 - 1) + (1 - 1) + (1 - 1) + (1 - 1) + (1 - 1)...
= (0) + (0) + (0) + (0) + (0) + (0) +...
= 0
However, if the right side is modified as follows, the solution is one.
X = 1 + (-1 + 1) + (-1 + 1) + (-1 + 1) + (-1 + 1) + (-1 + 1)...
= 1 + (0) + (0) + (0) + (0) + (0) + (0) +...
= 1
But, if the following formula is applied, as a = 1 and r = -1, the solution is 1/2.
X = a + ar + ar^2 + ar^3 + ar^4 + ar^5 + ar^6 + ar^7...
= a/(1 - r)
X = 1/[1 - (-1)] = 1/(1 + 1) = 1/2
That is,
1/2 = 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1...
Or,
0.5 = 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1 - 1 + 1...
So, this infinite sequence is not simple.
Man's life is close to an infinite sequence of events that began far before a man was born. Although a man cannot live forever, every second in which he lives may be presented as one (1) in the sequence. Or it might be even regarded as having started when the earth was created in our solar system in the Milky Way Galaxy.
Anyway, the solution of your life may be 1, 0, or 1/2 depending on how it is calculated.
The lesson? We cannot correctly judge any one's life, if we tried observe or calculate every second of his or her life. Only God can judge it.
