"he would heal him on the sabbath day" - (Energy, Water, Land Size)

Tokyo
Imperial Palace Plaza's Corner

Energy, Water, & Land Size

It is true that one can live only less than 100 years or so.

So, most of Wall Street and the City guys think that they have to concentrate on earning money to enjoy their life without minding history.

But, this attitude itself decides what their life would be, how much their wealth contribute to quality of their spiritual life, and how deeply they can understand the world, the life, and various aspects of what makes them live as civilized entities.

Put simply, one can only live a meaningful life by projecting his life onto history.

That is why The Old Testaments were successfully created and handed over generation after generation. The Vatican could be respected as witnesses for the European history. By reflecting themselves onto these historical lines, some European Christians and Judaists could succeed and sustain their success for long.

That is why they, some Christian and Judaist families who have long enjoyed success of their families, stick to their traditions, no matter how vaguely they can understand this law.

Conversely, that is why dictators cannot succeed ultimately except some royal families in the Islamic world.

PART I: Energy Use per Capita

The U.S. is alone consuming twice more energy per person than most of developed countries.

It would give China every reason to increase its poorly unregulated energy use. The U.S. should decrease its use of energy so as to show a good example to China. CO2 to be emitted from the U.S. and China must be strictly controlled, if the world is entering a little ice age, since it would continue to be a big disturbing factor for the global climate.

PART II: Water Use per Capita

What ranking is it for the order of the U.S., Australia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Norway, and France?

http://www.data360.org/dsg.aspx?data_set_group_id=757

Again, the U.S. is consuming more water than any other country, since it has both the characters as an agriculture country and an industrial country, like Australia.

It might be a little surprise that Italy and Japan use the most water except the two exceptional countries, the U.S. and Australia.

As for Japan, water is plenty in its land. Rice farming needs much water for irrigation, since rice plants grow in a water-covered field. And, people have a habit to keep anything clean by washing away dirt with water.

China might further face a problem of shortage of water supply, as industrialization further advances in its inner territory.

PART III: Large Countries

Country...Land Area (km2)...Population (million)

1. Russia...17,098,242...140

2. Canada...9,984,670...33

3. China...9,640,011...1,345

4. USA...9,629,091...314

5. Brazil...8,514,877...193

6. Australia...7,692,024...21

7. India...3,287,263...1,198

The top 7 countries occupy 44.4% of the whole land of the world.

The top 7 countries have in total 3250 million population, accounting for 47.5% of the world population.

As a whole, it is well balanced.

So, the top 7 largest countries might have to keep this balance among themselves so as not to cause pressure on other part of the world.

For example, Chinese should go to America, Canada, Australia, or Russia if they cannot sustain their living in China, for example, due to lack of water, but not to Japan. Then, the use of energy per capita in the U.S. might be lowered compared to other scenarios.

Anyway, with these data, you have to think about the future state of the world in terms of safety, security, sustainability, and soundness of the whole mankind, in addition to global warming/cooling.

Around 1450, the Ottoman Empire welcomed Judaist artisans and merchants.

In 1492, Judaists came to be driven out of Spain.

Between 1517 and 1917, Palestine belonged to the Ottoman Empire.

In 1839, the Ottoman Empire conferred citizenship on Judaists.

In 1881, large-scale pogroms occurred in Russia, resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths of Judaists.

In 1882, the first wave of Judaists returned to Palestine.

Since then, Judaists purchased long abandoned plots and fields from Arabs to cultivate them. With their efforts, Palestine came to be a good farming land.

Around 1914, when the Ottoman Empire started to collapse, many Arabs living outside Palestine fell into poverty through turmoils. Then they came to live in Palestine where they could find jobs due to great cultivation of the land by Judaists, according to the Judaist version of history.

Yet, all the Judaists in Europe should have started to return to Palestine around 1492 or 1839.

Now, with democracy going to spread among Islamic nations surrounding Israel, Israel will be safer than ever ultimately. Democracy will change Islam. Democracy will advance Islam. And, new Islam will find a reasonable way to deal with Israel. This is my version of historical prospect.

Mar 3:1 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.

Mar 3:2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.

Mar 3:3 And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.

Mar 3:4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

"preaching in the wilderness of Judaea" - (2004 Indian-Ocean Tsunami Victim Aid)

Tokyo
Imperial Palace Plaza Park with
Remnants of Old Edo Castle (Click to enlarge.)

Truth of Aid

Mencius (called "Mou-shi" in Japanese; 372 – 289 BCE) said:
"The way for life and living a man should seek is always found around him.
The way for life and living a man should seek is however sought in the distance in vain."

PART I: Indian Ocean Tsunami Aid; Who Paid Most?

In December 2004, a great earthquake off Sumatra Island caused great tsunami in the Indian Ocean, taking away 250,000 or so lives.

Accordingly, developed countries promised aid to victimized countries.

Country...Promised Aid Value ($million)
1. USA....*.....902
2. Germany....*.....634
3. EU....*.....600
4. JAPAN....*.....494
5. France....*.....444
6. Australia....*.....431
7. Canada....*.....343
8. Netherlands....*.....312
9. Norway....*.....172
10. Italy....*.....139
11. UK....*.....96
12.
...(omitted)

(OECD Factbook, 2006)

However, what they actually paid is different very much from what they promised.

For instance, the U.S. promised to donate $634 million to the great tsunami victims, but actually paid $277 million.

China did not even promise donation.

Japan promised aid worth $494 million to victimized nations around the Indian Ocean, but actually provided $539 million.

Now you know how foolish they are praising USA and China even in terms of donation.

PART II: Jerusalem around AD 30 to 40

Christ Jesus went up to Jerusalem from a northern local area called Galilee. It was as if He had to see somebody or encounter something in Jerusalem, since He could have preached all around Galilee, taking more time.

At the time, the Roman Empire was at a quasi-war with Parthia.
Artabanus, like all Parthian princes, was much troubled by the opposition of the grandees. He is said to have been very cruel in consequence of his education among the Dahan barbarians. To strengthen his power he killed all the Arsacid princes whom he could reach. Rebellions of the subject nations may have occurred also. We learn that he intervened in the Greek city Seleucia on the Tigris in favour of the oligarchs, and that two Jewish brigands, Anilai and Asinai, maintained themselves for years in Neerda in the swamps of Babylonia, and were acknowledged as dynasts by Artabanus.

In 35, he tried anew to conquer Armenia, and to establish his son Arsaces as king there. A war with Rome seemed inevitable. But that party among the Parthian magnates which was hostile to Artabanus applied to Tiberius for a king of the race of Phraates. Tiberius sent Phraates's grandson, Tiridates III, and ordered Lucius Vitellius (the father of the emperor Vitellius) to restore the Roman authority in the East. By very dexterous military and diplomatic operations Vitellius succeeded completely. Artabanus was deserted by his followers and fled to the East.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artabanus_II_of_Parthia

As I once discussed, the situation around Jerusalem must have been tight when Christ Jesus went up to Jerusalem, since main Roman legions in Damascus must have been supported by roman troops in Jerusalem.

And, some Israelites were actively engaged in their own operations for their own interest in Parthia. The Roman generals must have taken heed of Israelite connections between those in Jerusalem and Parthia. In this situation, Christ Jesus went down south to Jerusalem from Galilee situated around the path to Damascus.

It is very reasonable that the Roman governor and officials in Jerusalem were especially reported on movements of Israelites between Damascus and Jerusalem at the time. And, amid this hidden tension, there appeared Christ Jesus and His followers into Jerusalem.

So, the relationship between the Roman Empire and the kingdom of Parthia must be taken into account when thinking about the fate of Christ Jesus and His followers. Nonetheless, nobody ever seems to have carried out full research in this context. The fate of Christ Jesus, the Roman troops in Jerusalem, the main Roman legions in Damascus, and Parthia must have had a hidden linkage.

Anyway, why did He have to appear before John the Baptist at the beginning of his mission in Palestine? Why? But if Christ Jesus had been a kind of agent of Parthia, it must have worked well as a disguise. So, somebody must argue that Jesus Christ could be an agent of Parthia.

Yet, I would find an answer which proves that Christ Jesus is the Messiah, even if it is proved that a theory that He could be an agent of Parthia is possible.

Indeed, if not Christ Jesus Himself, it is very likely that one of His followers was a true agent of Parthia which might have ventured into war with the Romans at the time when Christ Jesus was in Jerusalem.

The global map presenting occurrences of earthquakes (larger than M5 and shallower than 100 km) and continental plate boundaries is as follows:

Indeed Japan and New Zealand are completely covered by the marking.

However, Greece and Italy look exceptionally dangerous despite their being part of Europe. Civilization looks short-lived in comparison with a time scale of continental movement. When dinosaurs were going to be extinct, India was in the middle of the Indian Ocean and thus Himalaya Mountains were nowhere.

Yet, some people have been sacrificed due to physical conditions of the energy causing continental movement in these years from New Zealand to Sumatra, the north of India, Pakistan, Iran, and as far as to Turkey.

Living in these areas and the Philippines, Taiwan, and Japan is very different from living in the East Coast of America, the north of the Alps, and the middle of the Chinese continent. Yet, its influence on psychology of peoples is yet to be studied.

"Lord also of the sabbath" - (Japan's ODA to China?)

Tokyo Imperial Palace Side
Remnant of Samurai Era
Traced Back Here for 400 Years

Acts by Mean People

Chinese today cannot read so easily the Analects of Confucius and other Chinese classics written 2100 to 2500 years ago.

But, some Japanese can do. It is because in Japanese high school the ancient Chinese writing is taught. Japanese students learn a special skill (not translation, since kanji letters familiar to Japanese are used in those works) to read those classic books.

But, Chinese today use somehow different grammar and different expressions from those having been used in the era of Confucius. So, they have to be also taught how to read the Analects of Confucius and other Chinese classics. But, most of Chinese are not taught how to read their classics.

It is said that Japanese knowledge in general about the Analects of Confucius and other Chinese classics is deeper and wider than Chinese of today who have been educated by the totalitarian regime. Most of Japanese are familiar with maxims stated in the Analects of Confucius and other Chinese classics; at least a few of them would soon surface in their mind.

Mencius said:
"Once there was a mean man who found that he could make profits by watching a whole situation of a market. To observe the market better, he mounted to a hill. As he could easily see who wanted what goods, he could buy and sell goods cunningly to get big fortune. But, till this man appeared, a market is a place to sell surplus materials and buy something needed in daily life. But, this one made the market a place to make fortune. So, a king started to tax his activities in the market, since everybody thought that the man was so mean. This is the beginning of taxation on commercial activities."

So, even in China in ancient days, commerce was regraded as an act by a mean man; accordingly, well-educated Japanese of today think that commerce should be regraded as an act by mean men, unlike Chinese (and most of Americans) of today. Especially in the samurai era, merchants were officially ranked the fourth in society, following the samurai class, the farmer class, and the artisan class.

In addition, the hill where the mean man climbed is called "Roudan" in Japanese. So, "Roudan-suru" means to engross profits in Japanese even today.

PART I: Praising China, Letting Down Japan?

Japanese people have not so widely practiced social habits of individual donation for public good.

So, anti-Japanese Americans have found a good target.

But, surprisingly they put China on Japan, while no such data, including GDP, from China can be trusted.
DECEMBER 13, 2010
Spreading the Wealth

By TARA LOADER WILKINSON

Charitable giving in the U.S. as a proportion of gross domestic product, for example, is around 1.7%. In Europe, it is around 0.7% and in Japan it is just 0.04%, according to U.S. wealth manager Northern Trust. So why the discrepancy between the giving habits of developed countries and what is it that motivates giving around the world? "In many countries, like Russia or China, getting involved with social change may still be seen as politically taboo," says Marguerite Griffin, head of philanthropic services at Northern Trust. "The U.S. has become the global vanguard for philanthropy partly through generous tax laws. Aside from the U.K., philanthropy around the rest of the world is remarkably underdeveloped."

U.S.
Official Development Assistance: $26.84 billion [0.19% of gross national income]

Notable givers: Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Eli and Edythe Broad
Tax Breaks: Yes

By far the world's most generous nation in terms of individual donations, the U.S. has the highest proportion of giving as a percentage of Gross Domestic Product. The country also has the most appealing tax breaks. An individual donor can deduct tax relief of up to 50% of their income on a gift, through their tax return. A private foundation can deduct 30% of income.

Largesse: U.S. citizens gave $307.6 billion (€224.7 billion) in 2008, according to consultant Giving USA 2009.

China
ODA: $1.49 billion [0.016% of GNI]

Notable givers: Yu Pengnian, Jet Li , Huang Rulun
Tax Breaks: No

Large-scale philanthropy is relatively new. The advent of high-profile donors like Jet Li means this has begun to change.

Largesse: China's 50 most generous donated $1.2 billion in 2009, according to the 2010 Huran Philanthropy list. The Ministry of Civil Affairs announced recently that a total of $5 billion was donated in 2009 to registered charities in China.

Japan
ODA: $9.58 billion [0.19% of GNI]

Notable givers: Yoshiharu Fukuhara
Tax Breaks: No

With only 0.04% of GDP given every year, according to U.S. wealth manager Northern Trust, Japan's philanthropic infrastructure is still in its infancy.

A culture of private philanthropy has been limited by a range of factors. These include the robust role of the state in public service provision.

There are also few tax incentives for charitable giving in Japan. In 2005, the twenty largest grant-giving foundations in Japan spent only one thirtieth of what their counterparts in the U.S. did.

Largesse: No available data.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704243904575630340322011652.html

In the country, namely China, where anti-Government or anti-autocratic-one-party rule demonstrations are so harshly suppressed, no individual donation can be assured of fulfillment of an intended purpose. Chinese people in general are well known for their lack in contribution to public interest. Especially, corruption among bureaucrats and business leaders or rich people is a big concern in China.

Who would praise Mr. Mubarak and Mr. Gaddafi as they did some donations to their people?

As for authenticity of statistics about China, the following should be first checked: "The report also says that according to statistics published by China’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention in early 2009, there were more than 100 million mental patients in China." http://www.theepochtimes.com/n2/content/view/44558/

Even in America, everybody knows that big personal donation currently practiced by billionaires cannot shorten the gap between the rich and the poor. Every American knows that the 2008 Lehman shock did not make any rich men, very rich men, and super-rich men poor or homeless. Donation by rich people in America is superficial tactics for super-rich men to secure their safety in society. What is needed is sound taxation on rich Americans but not donation. It is duty that rich Americans must fulfill. What Mr. Warren Buffett and Mr. Bill Gates should do is to pay $61 billion tax to the federal government but not a billion dollar donnation.

In Japan, however, rich people should make more individual contribution, though they do 10 times more in terms of a ratio of donation over GNI than China.

(One big factor for less individual donation in Japan is a lack of Christian tradition.)

Anyway, this sort of discussion seems to be intended to defend and praise American billionaires and Chinese corrupt rich men while harming Japan's reputation in helping poor and developing countries in the world, including China.

Remember that Japan still provides ODA to China!!

(Germany and France are rather increasing their ODA to China. Their ODA amount to China seems to have surpassed Japan's in 2010.)

PART II: Historical Trend of ODA

In 1990's, Japan's ODA amount surpassed America's.

However, it is true that as deflation has continued in Japan in 2000's, its ODA shrank.

In 1990's, Japan's ODA amount surpassed America's. The biggest beneficiary from Japan's aid in these decades is China.

That is why Japanese people cannot accept such anti-Japanese American behaviors praising corruption-prevailing China.

PART III: 'Egypt' and 'jasmine' in China

China is going to enter a new era for a struggle to gain freedom and democracy.

Several arrested at Shanghai 'jasmine' protest site
China National News
Sunday 27th February, 2011

At least 100 uniformed police and scores of plain clothes officers were deployed in Shanghai, he said.

Police nationwide detained scores of well-known rights activists before and since the first calls for protests in mid-February, charging at least four people with subversion, according to rights groups.

The police raided hostels used by legal rights petitioners near Beijing South railway station Friday night, taking away scores of people, according to unconfirmed reports by rights activists.

The government has also censored searches on news and micro-blogging websites for terms including 'Egypt' and 'jasmine'.

The wave of anti-government protests in the Middle East and North Africa inspired by Tunisia's 'Jasmine' revolution has now reached Asia. Supporters of democracy in China planned protests similar to those rocking the Arab World, but only to be squashed.

China also blocked phone messages and websites to thwart any similar campaigns. Bulk text messages were jammed and searches for the word 'jasmine' were blocked on Chinese micro-blogging websites.

Libya: China’s New Middle East Conundrum
Posted on Wednesday, February 23, 2011

At the same time, some pro-democracy activists in China have started calling for a series of peaceful protests to be held every Sunday across a number of Chinese cities—a jasmine revolution. The first Sunday of protests fizzled out, but the reaction from the Chinese government was instructive—thousands of armed police massed at the identified protest locations, university students were urged to stay on campus, and known political dissidents were detained.

Thus far, Beijing has surprised no one by its moves to block public mention of Qaddafi’s statements. However, it has surprised many with its agreement to sign on to a UN Security Council statement that discusses the necessity of Libya respecting “freedom of peaceful assembly and of expression, including freedom of the press.” The irony is striking, of course, but no more striking than the writing of Mr. Mei, who notes: “Under pressure from domestic audiences disgusted at the tales of corruption and repression emerging from the aftermath of the regime, the Western powers were forced to abandon their complacent pro-dictatorship stance.” Did he intend the irony?

Praising China of today is tantamount to praising Egypt and Libya under 30-year or 40-year long dictatorship.

China should pay costs of domestic democracy and international obligations like Japan has done. It should stop asking aid money from Japan so as to invest the received funds into overseas business chances, while China is reportedly now world No.5 in terms of foreign investment, following the U.S., France, Japan, and Germany.

A miracle happened in the Dalian Airport, China.

A Japanese young woman lost her passport case in which her passport, some cash, and some insurance cards were put. Yet, at a service counter in the airport, she was told that her case was found and an acquisition report was made. A staff member of the airport administration happened to find it. As she had studied in China before, this episode looked like all the more a miracle to her.

Japanese who do not have a friendly feeling toward China account for 80%, according to a recent survey.

Yet, more and more Chinese youths are coming to Japan; more and more Japanese businesses have moved its business to China (now 20,000 Japanese companies are operating in China). Hence, more and more miracles are needed in China.

Save Indian Children, Chinese Environment, and Japan's Senkaku!

Mt. Fuji
JAPAN(Photos taken by EEE Reporter himself humbly)

Now on a satellite NHK TV channel of Japan, a foreign documentary film is being broadcast. It shows how children are being exploited for heavy labor in India.

American elites are praising India as a major member of G20, probably, willingly neglecting so many Indian children being forced to work virtually as slaves and inevitably get injured in dangerous workshops.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yA1dR0VcWI

On the Internet, a Chinese awarded in New York presents pictures of China with a focus on pollution. The pictures in the site show how much China had to sacrifice its nature, environment, people's living, and their souls in order to increase its GDP.

American elites are praising China as a major member of G20, surely, willingly neglecting so much industrial pollution and contamination in addition to corruption among Chinese elites.

Most of students, teachers, and professors in the world do not know that Japan has more Nobel prize winners in the field of natural science than Russia, Italy, and even Israel. (All of those Japanese winners learnt in Japan from elementary school to universities, reading and writing in Japanese, though a small number of them continued their research in the U.S.)

Egypt has the great pyramids and the long history overwhelming Europe. South Africa has many immigrants and their descendants from Europe. So, it is not easy to win this type of European Prizes for any non-European-dominant nations.)

Accordingly, some people believe what The New York Times and China are lying about Japan's Senkaku Islands, Okinawa Prefecture.

Please some times refer to the Historical Analysis on the Senkaku Island:
http://eereporter.blogspot.com/2010/10/yesterday-two-miracles-however-you.html

And, some Western Christians claim that Christianity was finally recognized in Japan in theory by the constitution of the Empire of Japan that was promulgated in 1889.

Japan

Empire including a large group of islands near the eastern coast of Asia, together with the peninsula Korea. The first Christian missionaries who arrived in 1549, were Saint Francis Xavier, two other Jesuits, and three Japanese who had become Christians in India. After 27 months, when Saint Francis left for China, 3000 Japanese had been baptized. With the aid of some nobles of the feudal regime, the work of missionaries continued to flourish, so that in 1582 there were 250 churches numbering 200,000 Christians. Soon the movement was suspected for fear that it might be preparing the way for conquest of Japan by European countries. Christianity was proscribed, and in 1597 six missionaries and twenty converts were crucified. At this time there were about 300,000 Christians; the missionaries were Jesuits, secular priests, Franciscans, Dominicans, and Augustinians. Persecution continued intermittently, becoming very severe at times. For two centuries all Christians were forbidden to come into the country, and missionaries who tried to enter were tortured, put to death or imprisoned. The Japanese were required annually to trample the Cross under foot. Many kept their faith and gave it secretly to their children, so that about 50,000 Christians were discovered when the new missionaries were allowed to come. In the meantime Christianity had been introduced from China into Korea, which belonged to the Diocese of Peking until 1831. In that year the independent Vicariate Apostolic of Korea was created, and the Faith continued to spread in spite of proscription and persecution in which many suffered martyrdom. In 1859, a treaty between Japan and France permitted missionaries to have churches at open ports for foreigners, and gradually their old work was resumed there, although persecution continued and thousands who would not apostatize were exiled. Religious liberty was finally recognized in theory by the constitution of the Empire promulgated in 1889. In Korea various treaties had allowed privileges to missionaries (c.1884), and the church was gradually organized.

http://saints.sqpn.com/ncd04313.htm

According to this theory, Japan forbade Christianity for 300 years till 1889.

Anyway, the above map is correct in marking the Senkaku Islands ("Senkaku shoto" in Japanese).
(However, there is some mis-understanding about Japan's Takeshima Islands in the Sea of Japan therein...see also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liancourt_Rocks)

In addition, those 50,000 plus Christians who were discovered when the new missionaries were allowed to come to Japan after the Meiji Imperial Restoration in 1868 are called "Kakure Kirishitan" even as a historical term, meaning hidden Christians. Their descendants still today keep their version of Christianity mainly in islands west of Kyusyu. They even still sing a Gregorian chant which was only once sung in part of Spain in the 16th century, in original words, since a Spanish missionary taught it to their ancestors in the 16th century.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kakure_Kirishitan

And, what were your ancestors doing in the late 16th century? Singing a Gregorian chant like some Japanese at the time?

"and not man for the sabbath" - (Tropical Cyclones & the South Pacific)

Tokyo Imperial Palace Plaza

Tropical Cyclones & the South Pacific

When you use the world map conventionally used by Europeans, you will lose a right sense to view the world correctly.

If you see the Atlantic Ocean at the center of a world map with America and Europe on each side, you may be amazed at the greatness of the Atlantic Ocean but you fail in respecting the greater Pacific Ocean. Accordingly, you would fail to comprehend the greatness of the earth. A world map must situate the Pacific Ocean in the center or at least should not split the greatest ocean in the world like in conventional maps used by Europeans.

Indeed, compared with the Pacific Ocean, no country looks great.

And, you can understand what the new era means with Japan, the U.S., China and India as major players, since American elites were shouting passionately, "G2, G2, China, America, Big Money!" after the 9/11 Terror of 2001 and before the Lehman Shock of 2008.

PART I: Tropical Cyclones
We have to have a right view on the earth before talking about CO2 trade.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropical_cyclone

The mots impressive fact is that around the South American Continent and the west part of the southern African Continent no tropical cyclones are generated. Probably, cold ocean currents must be flowing in the East South Pacific Ocean and the South Atlantic Ocean.

It can be also easily seen that West Europe, including the western Scandinavian Peninsula, has a favorable influence of the warm sea current flowing from the western Central Atlantic or the Gulf of Mexico.

Of course, it is the Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and the coastal area of China that experience the power of tropical cyclones more than any regions and countries. (Even in this context, New York Times staff who have a Chinese or Chinese American spouse should not stupidly mention, in a manner to support China's false claim, Japan's Senkaku Islands now under threat from Chinese militarism.)

In conclusion, the global cooling should be triggered by cold ocean currents from the Antarctica.

PART II: Who Are Learning English in NZ?

Many students come to New Zealand to learn English (or other subjects), since this middle-sized Anglo-Saxon country in the South Pacific Ocean has a suitable environment to learn the Anglo-Saxon language, partly because it is far from the U.S. and the U.K.

Anyway, it might be better to learn English from humble New Zealanders but not from anti-whaling Australians and Americans.

Please also check the old Chinese map indicating Japan's Senkaku Islands, though it cannot justify China's claim of its dominion over the Islands, which have been part of the Ryukyu/Okinawa Islands of Japan from ancient days, because fishermen of the Ming Dynasty 500 years ago could not sail to the Senkaku Islands while Okinawa people could do.

"and the Holy Ghost was upon him" - (social expenditure)

Now You See It Being the Snow Remnant in the Imperial Palace Plaza of Japan

Implications of Social Expenditure

That is the same old story so much told in the past: the fate of Mr. Muhammad Husni Mubarak and Mr. Muammar al-Gaddafi. No one would learn anything from their fate as much as from, say, the fate of Hitler in a sense.

Yet, there is one thing in common among those very talented guys, such as Mr. Mubarak, Mr. Gadaffi, and Hitler: they are smarter than democratic heroes, such as, say, Churchill.

However, it is the same old story that history always wishes democratic heroes to win, and they have defeated those very talented guys, such as Mubarak, Gadaffi, and Hitler.

To be such a democratic hero who can receive a favor from history and democratic citizens, he must be a man of commonsense even to be regarded as a bore.

A boring politician in a democratic country supported by democratic citizens can eventually defeat a very talented dictator leading his forcibly docile subjects, which is an old story.

Yet, in individual life even in a democratic country, many people want to be a Mubarak, a Gadaffi, or a XXXXXX. You cannot laugh at their fate so innocently.

CHAPTER I: Public and Private Social Expenditure

OECD's figure for comparison of countries in terms of social expenditure as a percentage of GDP, 2005 is as follows:
http://www.oecd-ilibrary.org/sites/factbook-2010-en/10/02/01/10-02-01-g1.html?contentType=&itemId=/content/chapter/factbook-2010-75-en&containerItemId=/content/serial/18147364&accessItemIds=&mimeType=text/html

The order of rank is:
1. Sweden
2. France
3. Belgium
4. Germany
5. Denmark
6. Netherlands
7. Austria
8. Switzerland
9. UK
10. Finland
11. Italy
12. USA
13. Portugal
14. Luxembourg
15. Norway
-- OECD AVERAGE
16. Hungary
17. JAPAN
...

As the sole representative of non-European race dominating countries, Japan takes the 17th position in the ranking of institutional, financial, and material safety for people in a country.

It will be difficult for the U.S. to prove to the world that the everything in this world will be decided by G2, namely the U.S. and China.

No countries ranked higher than Japan, including the U.S., would lower their living standards to the averaged standards of the U.S. and China.

Yet, the 20-year long deflation in Japan, through 20-year heavy support for and tight business with China, suggests that Japan has guts more than the U.S. in dealing with China.

If Japan and China are combined together, their total power will soon overwhelm the U.S. or the E.U., though it might be the worst case scenario for American elites.

Anyway, remember that the U.S. is a country where elites shouted so passionately "G2, G2, America and China for big money" between the 9/11 Terror of 2001 and the Lehman Shock of 2008.

So, Muslims had better not go and learn in colleges in America, in this context.

CHAPTER II: What Offsets the Rule of Wealth

Wealth is for rich men. Social welfare is for poor men.

As long as a poor person can live based on social welfare, he or she will tolerate rich men living with so much wealth.

But, if social welfare is no longer enough or accessible, he or she will be forced to take by force any part of wealth rich men are enjoying.

So, the rule of wealth has two facets: more acquisition of wealth and control of poor people. Providing social welfare enough to calm down poor people is an essential part of the rule by wealth.

But, in the society where great social welfare is provided for every citizen, will any member try to get wealth by sacrificing other citizens? Of course, there would be some. But, a motivation to get determined to be rich, very rich, and super-rich by following the Devil would be significantly weaken.

Yet, great social welfare cannot be a final solution to eliminate the sin of pursuing wealth from mankind, since it would leave any few percentages of people determined to be rich, very rich, and super-rich even by following the Devil. If two men see such a greedy and smart guy, one of the two would surely follow the guy. In a very short period of time, half of a society will be filled with such followers of the rule of wealth due to one such greedy and smart guy.

So, we have to refer to any holy books to find a final solution. That is why I refer to some holy books.

Of course, the main point at issue is the rule of wealth is a means with which for the Devil to fight against the God.

In addition, the rule of wealth is called American Dream, since they are trying to avoid use of the term Christian Dream.

Finally, what I want to see is neither black Americans and white Americans nor just one-type of Americans but Christians (and Muslims), if European or African American Christians (Muslims).

When you see a stranger, you will try to judge how much rich, how much poor, how much honest, how much mean, how much socially high, how much socially low, how much good natured, how much wilily, how much safe, how much dangerous, and how much clever, and consistent he is or will turn to be.

The longer you live, the deeper your assessment of a stranger will be.

And, most people would finally conclude that there is no such a person in this world as deserves the title of true wonder, since everybody wants a place to rest as Jesus Christ lamented.

But most importantly, some people have ability to know a man they see is the Lord's Christ, since so described in the Bible.

If you think you have such ability, you might not need any other talent.

Yet, it must be more difficult to have ability to know a woman he or she sees is the Holy Mother, since it was an Angel that had such ability as so described in the Bible.

"Jesus did not commit himself unto them" - (Learning Language)

Around Tokyo after Snowing

Learning Language

The style of this blog was a little changed, since the God, awfully, told me to do so.

However, it might be further changed, though "Every form in reality is empty, and emptiness is the true form" as Zen Buddhism teaches.

CHAPTER I: Literacy Rates of Grown-ups

Those who are rich should help those who are poor.

Those who can read and write should help those who cannot.

Accordingly, Europeans/Americans should help Arabs and Africans in addition to Brazilians and Papuans.

Accordingly, European/American Christians should help Muslims and Hindus in the world.

Learning Chinese characters is not so easy. It was more difficult than today before WWII and for 4000 years since Chinese characters were invented in China. It is because Chinese characters are essentially ideograms unlike alphabets which are phonograms, though Chinese characters can be used simply for expressing a sound of, say, a foreign word.

Accordingly, Japanese in the late 9th century modified some specific Chinese letters by simplifying them so as to use the simplified forms as a kind of alphabets. Those new characters are called "kana" or "hira-kana" and "kata-kana" according to types.

The invention of kana letters helped diffusion of reading and writing among Japanese people. As a result the literacy rate in Japan came to surpass the rate in China. In Japan even children of farmers were taught reading and writing since the days of 1000 years ago.

But, in China, except very rich families, no children of farmers were taught reading and writing, since Chinese characters are so complicated and the number of the characters to learn for practical purposes is too many.

Even today Chinese use 8,000 Chinese letters in daily life or in the society.

Japanese use 4,000 Chinese (kanji) letters (plus scores of the kanas and the Roman/English alphabets) in daily life or in the society, though Chinese letters are called "kanji" in Japan. There are some or minor differences in format of some letters commonly used in China and Japan. Their meanings ca be a little different between Japan and China.

So, it is said that in the 18th century Japanese citizens living around the capital Edo (presently Tokyo), including farmers, could read and write at a rate of 70%, since all the samurai could read and write. Even in a remote and local farming village in Japan in the 18th century, 20% of residents are believed to have been literate.

At the time, the literacy rate was 20% in London and 10% in Paris.

The issue at point here is not fundamental superiority of the Japanese culture over that in England and France (except Christianity-related aspects), but the mystery that Chinese never try to invent phonograms or alphabetical letters.

Yet, China today uses Chinese characters significantly modified and simplified so that even children can learn and use. But, too much simplified kanji letters Chinese use sometimes puzzle Japanese to identify them with their original forms.

But why have Chinese elites left kanji characters in difficult forms? Because, the difficulty of learning letters protected their interest and position. Rich elites in China in 4000 years till the end of WWII wanted poor people and farmers to be illiterate.

Accordingly, revolution occurred in China in the early 20th century.

CHAPTER II: Japanese in New Zealand

When the big earthquake hit Christchurch, the third largest city of New Zealand, there were about 3,500 Japanese tourists, students, businessmen, residents, and so on in the city, truly surprisingly.

In 2010, the number of Japanese who visited New Zealand was 87,735.

Japanese people like New Zealand, since the country looks so peaceful. It is regraded as a suitable place for learning English in a real English-spoken environment.

The climate of New Zealand resembles Japan's somehow, though it is in the south hemisphere. Its shape of the land roughly looks like Japan's, though Japan is larger by 20% or so.

Yet, something might be wrong for so many Japanese youths go to New Zealand to learn spoken English, since 20 or so Japanese students seem to be victimized in Christchurch.

There have been 52 Japanese in Libya till very recently, including staff members of the Japanese Embassy.

Two years ago a Japanese tourist visiting Tripoli posted to his blog some pictures he took in the capital of Libya. He wrote that Tripoli was in a construction boom; they tore down old buildings to build new ones. Most of cars running were made by IVECO, an Italian car maker.

http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/safekuro/folder/1023130.html

Indeed, no one could predict that Libya was to undergo a revolution in early 2011.

Yet, the Koran should be read since this year is 2011:
The Koran

Ta Ha

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

[20.11] So when he came to it, a voice was uttered: O Musa:
[20.12] Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa,
[20.13] And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed:
[20.14] Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance:
[20.15] Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives:
[20.16] Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish;
[20.17] And what is this in your right hand, O Musa!
[20.18] He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it.
[20.19] He said: Cast it down, O Musa!
[20.20] So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running.

Any serious religions should be respected as a legacy of mankind.

Indeed, after mankind has disappeared in this universe, say, 100 million years later, some soul from another planet that would discover the earth and the past existence of mankind must say, "Religion is the only legacy of mankind worth notice!"

Eternity is in religion rather than in a future super-computer.

"he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day" - (Islamic Dream & State of Japan)

Northwest of Tokyo

Islamic Dream & State of Japan

Again, like the 9/11 Terror of 2001 and the Lehman Shock of 2008, nobody could predict this series of upheavals in the Islamic world.

Yet, I gave a warning a month or so ago that as the Persian Gulf War erupted around 1991 and the the 9/11 Terror occurred in 2001, this year could suffer a kind of tragedy. There is a kind of cycles in development of individual, political, and international activities and energy accumulation like in business cycles.

In addition, as the 2012 Presidential Election starts to loom over the horizon, this year can still incur some kind of conspiracy.

Again, while the American media, elites, and pundits could not predict the 9/11 Terror of 2001 and the Lehman Shock of 2008, they continued to occupy highly-paid positions.

This time, those who have not been able to predict the current Islamic upheavals should leave their positions in the American media, government, Wall Street, and so on.

If not, they will surely fail in foreseeing a sign of critical danger China might pose to the world and the U.S. in the future.

One more thing, the Davos conference has also proved that it is useless even to catch a sign of occurrence of the Egyptian revolutionary movement.

You had better check the EEE-Reporter rather than watching CNN or going to Davos.

CHAPTER I: Islamic Dream?

Everybody has a dream. But, what dream does "the God and Allah" have?

The map specifies that the capital of the Caliphate would be ‘Saudi Arabia’, its head of state the ‘Khalifa’ (Caliph), the currency the Islamic dinar and the law the Quran and the ‘hadees’ (hadith). “The result”, it says, would be “all resources available in Islamic states:”
• strongest army in the world;
• strongest currency in the world;
• largest country in the world;
• atomic & super power country;
• Europe & US can not seize assets in future of Muslim Ummah;
• the heart of globe in Muslim hand;
• half population of world in Islamic state.

The smaller world map in the bottom right hand corner paints picture of a world where the issues raised above no longer apply: after 100 years, the whole world is coloured green, the colour of Islam, including the by then aptly named Arctic island of Greenland. It is somewhat ironic that the map name and some of the attributes of the Islamic superstate clearly refer to the ‘Great Satan’ itself, the United States – an enemy and an example…

The map refers to an organisation called the World Islamic Mission, which is a real organisation, although its website at first glance doesn’t include this map (which was taken here from the anti-Islamic site savecivilization.org).

http://bigthink.com/ideas/21246

Islam, since its emergence in the 7th century, has been given more than 1000 years to prevail in the world till this century.

Muslims had better be prepared for another Angel to be sent to them by Allah.

CHAPTER II: A Strange Prime Minister of Japan

A very normal person in an abnormal situation looks abnormal.

A very abnormal person in an abnormal situation looks normal.

When the Kan Cabinet started last June, Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Naoto Kan enjoyed a 60% approval rating as reported by various media.

It has now fallen to 20%, 19%, and 17%.

As the Kan Administration, primarily supported by labor unions, liberal citizens, and socialistic activists, looks like losing its ground, some countries have started to take an aggressive stance in terms of territorial conflicts. China intimated Japan over Japan's Senkaku Islands; Russia intimidated Japan over Japan's South Northern Territory, and South Korea strengthened their illegal presence on Japan's Takeshima Island in the Sea of Japan.

Yet, the ruling party DPJ has many politicians who are pro-Chinese, pro-Russian, and pro-South/North Korean. P.M. Mr. Kan is one of them. Former P.M. Mr. Yukio Hatoyama is very pro-Chinese, pro-Russian, and pro-South Korean. But, their friendship to those military-oriented countries are never returned.

It is as if China, South Korea, and Russia want the old, conservative, very-pro American, ex-ruling party LDP to return to power.

In order to protect Japan, the best way P.M. Mr. Kan can take might go for the general election, since all the media and critics expect that the DPJ and Mr. Kan will lose the election to be replaced by the capitalism-oriented LDP Mr. Sadakazu Tanigaki leads.

Especially in Japan that has five prime ministers since spontaneous resignation of the then P.M. Mr. Junichiro Koizumi of the LDP in 2006, it is very difficult for a premier to keep his position when the approval rating falls below 20%.

It is now a big concern of the Japanese people, what P.M. Mr. Kan dreams of for his future and very near future.

Generally speaking, it can be safe for the people of a nation which is so advanced and sophisticated as Japan to have a weak president or premier rather than a conceited and arrogant president or premier like in the case of the Roman Empire gradually falling down.

P.M. Mr. Naoto Kan looks a very common man rather than a small-time politician, though he looked like a very aggressive and tough guy when he was one of leaders of the opposition party DPJ till September 2009.

CHAPTER III: Japan's TAKESHIMA Islands

The Takeshima Islands, in the Sea of Japan, belong to Japan, specifically Okinoshima, Shimane Prefecture, from ancient days.

But, after WWII, suddenly, South Korea started to claim its territorial right on the islands, mobilizing troops.

The details of the issue are provided in the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

http://www.mofa.go.jp/region/asia-paci/takeshima/pamphlet_e.pdf

Of course, what makes the matter complicated is the historical fact that the Empire of Japan annexed the Empire of Korea in 1910. The Koreans got independence after WWII.

Another point is that it was a long and complicated process that led to this annexation in 1910, which is seldom discussed by Koreans.

Koreans in the late 19th century should have fought China and Russia to secure the Far East. But, they could not. Instead, Japanese made it to succeed in this very difficult historical enterprise, which Koreans never praise.

One of the symbols for this relationship might be the illegal armed occupation of the Takeshima Islands by the South Korean troops.

The Koreans' mentality can be understood by knowing their irrational claim that the Sea of Japan should be called the East Sea (if not the Korean Sea), while Korea has less coastal lines on the Sea of Japan than Japan and Russia.

There were reportedly around 3,500 Japanese in Christchurch, New Zealand, when the big earthquake hit the city yesterday.

Some Japanese students who go to English language school in Christchurch are still missing.

This tragedy can be regarded as a kind of expression of anger of the God.

But, at what is the God angry?

Anyway, I hope that all the Japanese students will come back home in safety.

"no man putteth new wine into old bottles" - (Earthquakes and Calories)

Around Tokyo
Or 40 Km from Tokyo
In January(Click to enlarge)

Earthquakes and Calories

It is said that 65 people were killed by an earthquake in New Zealand today.

But, around 6,500 people were killed by an earthquake in Kobe, Japan, in 1995.

About 16,000 people were killed by an earthquake in north-west Turkey, in 1999.

Roughly 20,000 people were killed by an earthquake in west India, in 2001.

More than 220,00 people were killed by an earthquake and tsunami around Indonesia in 2004.

About 90,000 people were killed by an earthquake in Pakistan in 2005.

Around 70,00 people were killed by an earthquake in China in 2008.

More than 316,00 people were killed by an earthquake in Haiti in 2010.

I hope that any single one will NOT become victimized in an earthquake in future in Haiti, China, Pakistan, Indonesia and its neighboring countries, India, Turkey, Japan, and New Zealand, in addition to California and other part on the earth.

CHAPTER I: Whaling and Earthquake

There is one thing I have not mentioned, though it is a big news item in Japan in these days.

The Japanese whaling for research purposes in the Southern Pacific Ocean was so much harassed by some criminal Anglo-Saxons that the Japanese whaling fleet decided to suspend this season's activities several days ago.

Then today, a big earthquake hit New Zealand though Australia has been suffering other types of natural disasters in these months.

Australia and New Zealand should stop allowing its criminals on board fast motorboats to try to harm Japanese sailors and damage Japanese whaling boats with chemical bottles, laser beams, and so on on the open sea.

Of course, I am so much sorry for victims and fatalities from great natural disasters in Australia and New Zealand, the two great Anglo-Saxon countries in the South Pacific.

I also hope that Australia and New Zealand will accept more Muslim immigrants in addition to Chinese and Koreans.

Anyway, the Japanese Government will send enough and full aid to New Zealand soon.

CHAPTER II: Calorie Intake

No matter how much rich you get, you cannot be respected if you take so many calories, through eating something, say, beef.

The average of calorie intake by person per day between 2003 and 2005 is as follows for each country.

First of all, Buddhism forbids meat eatings.

So, the Japanese people did not kill and eat cows and oxes till the end of its samurai regime in 1860's, though people took fish and whales while using cattle only for field cultivation.

It is after WWII that the Japanese started to consume a large amount of beef, along with growth of economy, by importing meat from the U.S. and Australia.

In other word, sushi (rice and fish) and whale eating are rooted in the same cultural tradition of Japan. They are a kind of by-products from honest practices of Buddhism disciplines by Japanese people over 1,000 years.

As a cow or ox is as intellectual as a whale, mankind should not essentially kill such a large number of the poor animals in Australia and America every year.

Yet, creatures living in the sea are so remote from mankind in a decisive sense; fish and whales can be reasonable foodstuff for mankind. (Japanese do not east dogs like Koreans and Chinese, in case.)

Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S. should stop taking high-calorie foods and start to negotiate reasonable allocation of whales to be taken from the Pacific Ocean with Japan.

Their governments should not support those gangsters hoisting a flag of skull and crossbones, sailing around and violently attacking Japanese whaling boats internationally authorized for operation of research whaling.

If research whaling itself is a problem, it should be peacefully negotiated, without endangering crews of Japanese whaling fleets.

*** *** *** ***

Christ Jesus did not eat beef, though he did not forbid taking beef.

If somebody is eating delicious foods, he or she cannot be a saint.

Such a person should be expelled from every church, including the Vatican.

Indeed, if you happened to see somebody calling himself Jesus Christ eating beef and some delicious foods so happily, you would stop believing him.

But, to go out to the big ocean bravely looking for a big and wild whale for supper might be praised as an act of a man of any religion. This can be a great tradition for a tribe.

Anyway, remember that Moby Dick became a work of a prophecy for the 9/11 Terror of 2001.

…It came in as a sort of brief interlude and solo between more extensive performances. I take it that this part of the bill must have run something like this:
"Grand Contested Election for the Presidency of the United States.
"WHALING VOYAGE BY ONE ISHMAEL."
"BLOODY BATTLE IN AFGHANISTAN."

Though I cannot tell why it was exactly that those stage managers, the Fates, put me down for this shabby part of a whaling voyage, when others were set down for magnificent parts in high tragedies, and short and easy parts in genteel comedies, and jolly parts in farces- though I cannot tell why this was exactly…

Chapter One

Mar 2:22 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.

"a piece of new cloth on an old garment" - (The Year of Uprising?)

Tokyo Imperial Palace Side (Old Edo Castle Owned by Samurai Shogun)

CHAPTER I: Islam Map

For Muslims before the era of Columbus, the Indian Ocean must have been another Mediterranean Sea.

Abu Abd Allah Muhammad al-Idrisi al-Qurtubi al-Hasani al-Sabti or simply Al Idrisi (Arabic: أبو عبد الله محمد الإدريسي‎; Latin: Dreses) (1099–1165 or 1166) was a Muslim geographer, cartographer, Egyptologist and traveller who lived in Sicily, at the court of King Roger II.

His map also inspired Christopher Columbus and Vasco Da Gama.

Introductory summary overview map from al-Idrisi's 1154 world atlas. Note that south is at the top of the map.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Idrisi

Yet, both Jerusalem (31.46 degrees of latitude) and Mecca (21.26 degrees) are located in the northern hemisphere.

Tokyo is at 35.40 and Tehran at 35.38, which is a kind of miracle.

(Cairo at 30.03, Alexandria at 31.13)

CHAPTER II: Libya Report

Japanese TV stations are all actively reporting the situation in Libya, adding that more than 230 people were killed.

I strongly recommend Muslims in Libya to leave the armed conflicts.

I strongly recommend Muslims in Libya to ask Allah to give them freedom and democracy more than European Christians are enjoying.

I strongly recommend Muslims in Libya to show a higher-level of the aspect of peace of Islam to the world.

Even in China, it has been reported that 1,000 youths, students, and citizens who just started to gather with cell phones in their hands on the street of various cities for protest against the dictatorship of the Chinese Communist Party were soon suppressed and arrested.

An old Chinese woman watching the arrest on the street said, "We have no law in China!" to a TV camera, probably, held by a foreign reporter, as televised tonight in Japan, while her face was blurred on TV.

CHAPTER III: Christianity Forbidden in Japan for 280 Years

In 1589, the then samurai king of Japan Hideyoshi proclaimed a ban on Christianity.

In 1873, the modern Meiji imperial government of Japan abolished the ban on Christianity, since the samurai era had gone and Western powers requested so.

Even today, Christians account for 10% of the whole population of Japan.

Yet, there are no Japanese who do not know what Christ Jesus is.

As for Islam, it does not appeal to the Japanese mind and soul.

Islam is regarded as a religion for people living in the desert, though there are so many Muslims in Indonesia some of whom are sometimes observed in Tokyo and so on.

As for Judaism, Japanese people feel strong curiosity, mystery, and difficulty if not caution, though not much respect in comparison to sympathy. However, Japanese feel no hate and antagonism toward Judaism in general.

Mt. Fuji
Japan(The site is 100 kilometers from Mt. Fuji and 20 km from Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo.)

The Japanese media, TV news programs, newspapers, and so on all are paying strong attentions to the upheavals in the Islamic world.

Of course, China cannot avoid such a drastic movement by people to get rid of inhumane control by the Chinese Communist Party, since 100 million Chinese citizens are said to have some kind of mental illness today.

In addition, the Davos Conference recently proved its inability to address the true world agendas. G20 is also proving its inability to address the true world agendas. G2 (USA/China) is still producing some negative world agendas, in addition to a huge amount of CO2.

And the gravest agenda is of course "God vs. Money."

It was not so easy to survive and get rich in America in 1500's, 1600's, 1700's, and 1800's.

Yet, the God must have helped those who helped their neighbors survive and get rich in America in 1500's, 1600's, 1700's, and 1800's.
