Faith as a Grain of Mustard Seed

A man has all the genes a chimpanzee has.  In other words, a chimpanzee does not have unique genes a man does not have.  It is also thought that a half of genes a man has were introduced into its ancestors by viruses.  However, it is also estimated that only 5% of human genes are active in a man.

So, it may be possible to turn a chimpanzee to a man by introducing those genes unique only to a man into a chimpanzee.

This is one example of possibility that may become possible due to development of science.  In other words, human science may interfere with the nature in terms of biological development of species.

Yet, we need to know all the functions of all the genes we have.  There must be a gene that will enable the human body to suppress or kill useless or dangerous viruses that invade the body.  Although all the human DNAs (on which genes exist) were read out completely in 2003, their functions are not yet completely understood.

Every man has the same DNAs and genes.  Therefore, at least children from human parents look similar to their parents, and do not look like chimpanzees or any other animals.  But what genes are active in a man differ from those of others.

In this context, Christ Jesus has the same genes and DNAs as those in us.  But some specific genes in Christ Jesus must be uniquely on in comparison with others.  But we do not know yet what genes are uniquely on in Christ Jesus.  We may find key genes that established Christ Jesus.

For example, as there had been 80 generation from Abraham to Christ Jesus, there must be 80 special genes uniquely being on in Christ Jesus, since one specific gene might be turned on in one generation.  

Genes on DNAs are transferred to RNAs which then are translated into specific proteins to alter cells and build specific parts of the body.  But almost a half of RNAs are not translated to proteins but function as they are. 

Anyway, the mankind might discover the secret of genes of Christ Jesus in this century or the next.  Then, they may try to create another Christ Jesus.

However, it will be more difficult to turn those Christ genes on or anti-Christ genes off.

On the other hand, it is thought that our mind-set can have an influence on activation of genes.  When we are positively thinking, our objective can be more easily achieved.   A sick person having a forward-looking view seems to be more smoothly cored than other having a pessimistic view.  Genes good for maintaining health and strengthening immunity must be turned on more easily and smoothly in the body of a man having an optimistic and ambitious view.

So, the extremely pure and strong faith of Christ Jesus must have turned specific genes on in His body.

If we believe that we have also inherently specific genes uniquely turned on in Christ Jesus, all we have to do is to have the same faith as that of Christ Jesus.  Indeed, Christ Jesus said: "If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you."

So, the majority of inmates in the U.S. are male whites under sentences between 5 to 15 years, although Hispanics seem to be included in the category of Whites in the FBP statistics. 

We had better compare this statistics with the general demography in the U.S. with distinction between Hispanics and other genuine Whites (according to https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2019/04/30/shrinking-gap-between-number-of-blacks-and-whites-in-prison/).

Furthermore, we must also get another reference statistics to clarify ethnicity:

Turning on Favorable Genes and Turning off Undesired Genes

Some genes in DNA are in a sate of being ON (active), and others are in a state of being OFF (non-active).  According to these states of genes (whose total number is 22,333) in DNA (whose total size is about 3 billion DNA base pairs), each human body has its own features, functioning uniquely.

It is said that active genes only account for 5 to 10%.  And it is thought that a disease develops because necessary genes are not active in the human body.  To conquer a disease, some specific genes must be turned ON.  Then, men might be able to conquer diseases caused by corona-viruses.

But how can we turn genes ON and OFF in an arbitrary manner?  Some Japanese scientists discovered a chemical approach to do it and reported it, in August 2016, in the online-version of Nature Biotechnology under the title of "Targeted DNA demethylation in vivo using dCas9-peptide repeat and ScFv–TET catalytic domain fusions."

 
Apart from chemical or medical approaches, there must be other approaches by adopting specific ways of living and mind work, since autonomous nerves controlling some physical conditions are affected by actions of the mind through brain nerves.

Dr. Kazuo Murakami emphasized the following points:

(1) Some dormant genes start to get ON working actively, when a man encounters a certain environment.  

(2) Some dormant genes get ON working actively, when a man mends his way of living.

(3) A man can grow n terms of ability and personality, when he changes the environment by which he is surrounded at the time of being stuck in a dead end.   

(4) Some genes that have been OFF can be turned ON, when a man gets associated with innovation.

(5) One's life can be changed through information exchange with others.

(6) One common feature among people who build good performance is having an upbeat vision and keeping a positive trend.

(7) A notable feature of those whose genes are actively ON is that they don't worry about the future but tackle work at hand in full efforts.

In these spiritual, psychological and behavioral approaches, one can turn on genes whose work is needed for him facing specific conditions in life.  And, if such approaches can be formulated and quantified, revolution can happen in medical science.  However, they are still experimental and empirical.

However, it can be easily understood why and how Christ Jesus could heal the sick and depressed without using modern medicines and devices, if He had the skill to work on their genes, turning on favorable genes and turning off undesired genes.

Indeed, some American and European medical scientists are studying on effect of prayer on treatment of disease.  If somebody prays for cure of disease of his family member, friend, etc. directly, indirectly, or even remotely, a curing effect is found sometimes.  Prayer based on love and faith seems to work well.

On the other hand, hatred, anger, and malice may be also transmitted to turn on undesired genes and turn off favorable genes of an enemy. 

The mankind must not be yet matured enough to be able to handle this gene awakening/suppressing technique.

A man invokes his spirit and thinks with his mind, which works on his endocrine system and immune system whose work reversely acts on his mind and spirit.

If stress on his mind continues, functional failures occur somewhere in his mind, endocrine system and immune system, resulting in a disease.  As a result, his mind feels pain and agony, falling into depression and leading to a lower level of vital activities.

The paper found that the fatality rate gradually increases with age. It increased to 3.6 percent in the 60-69 age bracket before rising to 8 percent among those aged 70 to 79 and 14.8 percent among people in their 80s or older.

Anyway, people have to avoid stress on their bodies and minds so that their endocrine systems and immune systems can work properly and effectively against cancers and viruses.

For this purpose, it is highly recommended to read the Bible or any holy books to purify their spirits and free their minds from worldly worries, since there is clear mutual reaction between spiritual and mind work and the endocrine and immune systems.

Another pandemic could occur at any time since the Spanish Flu had occurred in 1918.  It is because a pandemic needs the poultry industry and the hog raising industry, high-density residential environments such as modern cities, and global-scale distribution of goods and transportation of passengers.  When these conditions were met, the 1918 Spanish Flu really occurred.

But, through WWII, the Cold War, and the War on Terror, this scale of pandemics never occurred until 2020.

From this point of view, the 1918 Spanish Flu was a bad omen for WWII (and subsequent incidents) where grave atrocities such as the massacre of Jewish people, the use of atomic bombs, the Japanese kamikaze suicide attacks, etc. were implemented by the mankind.  And, as aftermaths of WWII, a despotic communist government was established and consolidated in China following Russia.

In this context, everything that has happened between 1918 and 2020 can be regarded as having been warned of by the 1918 Spanish Flu where more than 500 million people were infected and 40 million people were killed by viruses according to WHO's estimation.

So then, what is being warned of by the 2020 corona-pandemic that is going on with the current number of global deaths of yet less than a million?  At least, we had better think that the era based on the warning by the 1918 Spanish Flu has been over and another era has begun.

Immediately before the 2020 pandemic, the American society was being split due to biased political behaviors of President Trump; China was increasing its egocentric influence on the world with its economic power under President Xi; Russia was strengthening its militarism under leadership President Putin; and the EU was losing its ideal with the UK exiting based on selfish interest while facing the rise of Islamic terrorism and increased refugees.  

Indeed, the era has really changed.  And the possibility of WWIII might be increasing.  Although only few people predict WWIII will occur between the US with its allies and China or Russia, there is no denying such a possibility, since the US cannot abandon its destiny of propagating freedom, liberty, and democracy (if not the American-version of Christianity) to the world while the regimes in China and Russia never give up their obsessiveness of ruling their people and expanding their power as much as or as far as possible.

Anyway, the American ideal and the Chinese/Russian ruling style cannot stand in a row.  In this century, predominance of either side over the other will be made clear.  And it might be settled through WWIII in the worst case with hundreds of millions of global victims.  From this point of view, this corona-pandemic must be viewed.  It might be graver than common observation, feeling, and judgment of people in the world.

So, as I claimed before, as Isaac Newton predicted that the end of the world will start around 2060, the prelude of the start of the end of the world must be starting with this 2020 corona-virus.  It means that we should not be simply waiting for 2021 when vaccines will be widely available in the world, but we should be more serious in observing, feeling, and judging this era.

Indeed, Christ Jesus said to see through the era as you try to predict the weather of the next day.  Therefore, we have to see the true course of events in this era through the corona-pandemic.

However, the human species lack the ability to synthesize vitamin C in their bodies while most of animals possess this function.  So, today, why and how ancestors of the human species lost this ability is thought to be a kind of mystery.

Ancestors of the human species as Haplorhini were separated from Strepsirrhini 63 million years ago after extinction of dinosaurs 65 million years ago.  At the time, ancestors of the human species and other infraorders under Haplorhini lost the vitamin C synthesis ability.

The answer must be that our ancestors as Haplorhini were infected by viruses having genes that suppressed the vitamin C synthesis and then they split from Strepsirrhini.  Since then, the human species and other close primates lost vitamin C synthesis ability till this day.  For example, bats also lack this ability, while they have survived to present day as they can take vegetables including vitamin C from environment.

But why did the genes introduced by viruses to suppress the vitamin C synthesis come to be inherited by the human species?  The key to the answer must be the fact that glucose sugar is used as material when synthesizing vitamin C in the human body.  On the other hand, glucose sugar plays an important role in maintaining brain functions.

Without these genes to suppress the vitamin C synthesis, a great amount of glucose sugar would be consumed when it was needed to increase vitamin C in our body, so that our brain would have to lose its material of glucose sugar.  Therefore, the human species opted for keeping these genes to suppress the vitamin C synthesis so as to keep conditions advantageous for protecting and developing of the brain, which allowed for further evolution of the human species. 

Indeed, Linus Carl Pauling, a notable American chemist, once said that the mankind lost the vitamin C synthesis function in order to protect their brains.  But it must be a result of infection 63 million years ago by viruses having genes to suppress the vitamin C synthesis and introducing them into the bodies of early human species.  And due to this incident, the human species could evolve with brains well protected and developed.

Put simply, we owe our existence of today as a highly evolved and intellectual species to viruses with the ability to introduce and transmit genes into our DNA.

It suggests that if the current corona-viruses had such a function to introduce some specific genes to DNA of the mankind, we might further evolve to a certain direction.  However, it is unknown if the direction is good for future of the mankind or fatal for the mankind.

As the current viruses have infected more than 20 million people in the world in eight months or so, damage might have been already done to DNA of the mankind in the worst case.  So, if the God wanted to exterminate the mankind, it seems natural that He would use viruses.

The fact that a man cannot create vitamin C in his body means or suggests something decisive to the future of the mankind.

So, Japanese universities and medical institutions established a task force to examine genes associated with COVID-19 immune response for the development of mucosal vaccine.

Immune response to a virus also varies from individual to individual due to differences in the nucleotide sequences of genes called "polymorphisms." This variability means that even if two people become infected with the same virus, polymorphic variations may yield different immune responses. In an immune response, a group of molecules collectively referred to as HLA acts as a command tower that induces adaptive immunity, specifically binding to bits of virus proteins, generally referred to as epitopes. The recognition by T-cell receptors of epitopes bound to HLA is the key to the function of adaptive immunity, which is expressed in the function of cytotoxic T cells and antibody-producing B cells. There are many types of HLA genes (HLA-A, B, C, DR, DQ, DQ, DP, etc.) and the polymorphism in each HLA (e.g., HLA-A) are known to vary for individual to individual. This is thought to be related not only to differences in responsiveness to viruses but also to susceptibility to seasonal allergies and many other immune-mediated diseases. On the other hand, these immune responses, including innate immunity, are also strongly affected by individual variation other than polymorphic HLA genes, suggesting that various polymorphisms, in addition to HLA, play a significant role in the exacerbation of COVID-19. The A, B, AB, and O types are related to red blood cells, but the white blood cells can be grouped according to HLA types whose number is more than 100,000.  And the degree of easiness of suffering from a disease changes depending on a HLA type, because HLA plays an important role in response of immunity and this response varies according to difference in HLA types.  

The current corona-viruses are based on structure of SARS viruses that caused a minor pandemic around 2003.  Both types of viruses attach themselves to a receptor called ACE2 on the surface of human cells, which dramatically enhances their infectious capacity.  

When SARS viruses spread in the world, there were almost no persons severely infected by the viruses in Japan.  A Taiwanese scientist found that there were clear difference in infection among geological regions and studied on features common to patients developing severe disease due to the viruses.  As a result the scientist discovered that those patients in Asia had commonly the B46 type of HLA.  And only 5% of the Japanese people have the B46 type.

Those having the B46 type can be commonly observed in the southern China, and it is thought that Japanese with this type have ancestors who immigrated into Japan from the southern China about 1500 and 2500 years ago or so in the history. 

However, majority of Japanese have ancestors (so called the Jomon people) having lived in the Japanese archipelago since more than thousands of years or tens of thousands of years ago.  And geological distribution of areas in Japan with the small number of people contaminated by SARS viruses matches that of areas with people having genes received from the Jomon people.

In other words, because majority of the Japanese people are descendants of the Jomon people (who can be called original Japanese), they could avoid severe disease caused by SARS viruses around 2003 and the current corona-viruses.  The type of HLA inherited from ancestors has saved most of Japanese from corona-viruses.    

The number of people in the world infected by corona-viruses is 23,380,569 and the number of deaths due to the viruses is 808,697 as of August 23, 2020.

There is a theory that Neanderthals evolved into the modern mankind through contamination of viruses that changed their DNA.

Viruses can bring some genes into human cells and embed them into our DNA.  There is also a theory than evolution of the mankind was accelerated by this function of viruses that contaminated human cells.  And other animals must have also evolved through contamination with viruses that changed their DNAs.

So, it is no wonder that every one of the modern mankind possesses genes that were originated in Neanderthals, since our ancestors might include Neanderthals who had been contaminated by viruses and undergone DNA change to become Homo sapiens or anatomically modern humans.  Put simply, not all the Neanderthals went extinct, but some Neanderthals survived as Homo sapiens through change in DNA by contamination with some viruses.

These traits that can be traced back to the era of co-existence of Neanderthals and Homo sapiens must be related to receptivity to viruses.  Therefor, some races of today may be prone to be more easily contaminated by some viruses, such as corona-viruses, depending on the degree to proximity of DNA to Neanderthals.

According to another study, in some areas of the human genome the genes that can react mutually with viruses are condensed.  And in these genes that can react mutually with viruses are condensed, molecules that directly react with RNA viruses such as HIV and influenza viruses are condensed. 

Anyway, viruses can enter into our cells, change part of our genes on DNA, and accelerate evolution of the mankind.  It also means that we cannot be completely free from viruses as long as our bodies are built with cells that accept genes carried in by viruses.  

So, the mankind will develop science to control viruses in our bodies and cells or our DNA where viruses can embed new genes.  However, the technology developed for this purpose may be abused to alter the basic physical structure of a man, which may lead to more danger for existence of the mankind.  

Therefore, it is natural that the end of the world will come with influence or aftermath of contamination or pandemics by some fatal viruses.

According to a survey conducted by a medical center for aging in Tokyo a decade ago, those who thought that they were healthy could survive twice longer than those who thought that they were not healthy despite their actual states of physical conditions.

Even those who think they were somewhat or partially healthy could survive 1.5 times more than those who thought that they were not despite their actual states of physical conditions.

The result showed that what people think about themselves should gravely influence their life.

What one thinks must be reflected in work of brain nerves connected to autonomous nerves controlling work of organs and eventually human cells.  Positive thinking would have positive influences on organs, cells, and eventually the whole body.  It must also enhance immunity by activating parasympathetic nerves and increasing white blood cells including natural killer (NK) cells.

As Hippocrates in ancient Greece said, each man has the natural healing ability.  To activate this ability, it is important to get rest and keep quiet in bed when one gets sick.

Honest medical doctor admits that medicines do not cure illness but suppress symptoms of illness.  So the more a patient gets medical drugs, the harder he is fully recovered from illness.  He might feel temporary relief from pain from the illness although the internal conditions of his body are not basically improved but addicted to the medical drugs.  It is tantamount to addiction to narcotics.

This theory of the natural healing ability in the human body might not necessary directly apply to diseases caused by corona-viruses, but the basic idea must be effective.

At least, if Christ Jesus saw a man suffering from corona-viruses, He would try to invoke the natural healing ability the one possesses by working on his mind and thus his nerves with His love that could be felt by the sick man.  Feeling love and compassion from Christ Jesus, the sick man should get rest and keep quiet in bed.  

So, it is recommended to read the Bible to be saved from the corona-pandemic. Anyway, this pandemic was caused by the wrath of the God who got angry watching people selling their souls to Satan for money.

More Evil Viruses than Corona-Viruses

The Spanish flu emerged and spread from 1918 to 1820, infecting 500 million people and killing 20 to 45 million people in the world.

At the time, it was not known that influenza was caused by viruses, and there were no effective vaccines. But, the viruses spread fully in the world to reach their maximum capacity, and people who survived the pandemic acquired immune antibodies. As a result, the pandemic started to be suppressed.

Before the Spanish flu, Einstein in 1905 discovered and made public the theory of mass–energy equivalence (E = MC^2) that led to the later invention of nuclear weapons.

Indeed, after the Spanish flu, the world proceeded, through the Great Depression, into WWII where the first nuclear weapon called the atomic bomb was used by the US military against Imperial Japan.  And in WWII (1939 to 1945), 50 to 80 million people were killed all over the world, including victims of the atomic bombs, while 16 million people had been killed in WWI (1914 to 1918).

After WWII, the camp of the Free World led by the United States came into collision with the socialist camp led by the Soviet Union till the the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991.  It was estimated that if the two camps had got into nuclear warfare, there should have been hundreds of millions deaths, although peace has been maintained till this day through the 20th century. 

Before 2020, the mankind has already acquired advanced technologies in terms of electronics, computation, communication, and biotechnology as represented by the Internet, the smartphones, AI, robotics, virtual currencies, gene engineering, and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells.

All these technologies can destroy the civilization and existence of the mankind if abused.  As the 1918 Spanish flue was a warning to the world moving to the nuclear age, this 2020 corona-pandemic must be a warning to the world entering into material civilization crises.

Indeed, entities, including any governments, organizations, individuals, terrorists, mad scientists and medical doctors, equipped with these high technology can rule people and interfere with the fate of the mankind.  And, if they abused the technology and affected people, the whole civilization and mankind would start to collapse around 2060 as predicted by Isaac Newton.    

With those potentially dangerous conditions, can you imagine how the mankind will be enjoying the 22nd century or thereafter?  As the 1918 Spanish flu was a warning to the mankind in the 20th century, this 2020 corona-pandemic must be a warning to the mankind living in the 21st century.

However, if the end of the world is to come in the 21st century after 2060, Christ Jesus must have foretold the fate of the mankind due to graveness and significance of the matter.  Therefore, there must be still a chance for our survival to the 22nd century and thereafter.

The key to our survival is faith.  Since Christ Jesus meant that if we had any faith, our civilization would be given more life, but if we did not have, we should be deprived of our civilization and the civilization should fall due to more evil viruses than corona-viruses.

God's Glory Shown through the Corona-Pandemic

  

A certain Japanese medical doctor realized one day that some patients were cured mysteriously and spontaneously while most of others were not.

He observed his patents carefully to find that there were some specific patterns in their mind sets of those who recovered well and regained health even from cancer diseases. 

The first type of such patients was of forgetting their diseases.  The second type was of busy doing their favorite things, and the third type was of caring for others more than themselves.

The common feature among them was that they did not get depressed, worry about progress of their diseases, and get overwhelmed by fear of going into more serious states or death.  In other words, they were not under pressure or stress physically or psychologically.

It means that their balance between sympathetic nerves and parasympathetic nerves was well kept so that their immunity was at a high level.  For example, it is medically and scientifically proved that laughing enhances one's immunity, and positive thinking people are less prone to falling in diseases.

Although we cannot easily control our bodies and physical conditions against diseases trough our thinking, wishing, or hoping, it can be well understood that when we feel joy, happiness, or bliss, we feel some power springing from the inside of our bodies.  Our autonomous nerve systems controlling inside physical conditions, such as immunity, are closely linked to brain nerves that can be activated by our emotion. 

Some religious disciplinants train themselves to control their emotion or expression of emotion.  They even try to observe movement and states of their minds.  And they will try to access psychologically the God in the case of Christianity or completely empty their minds in the case of Buddhism.  In other words, they are purifying their minds to discover an ultimate level of joy or complete calmness in the minds.  In either case, their autonomous nerve systems must be set to ideal conditions for human beings who are living things.   

Indeed, Christ Jesus said that those who tried to save their life for themselves would be perished and lose their life, but those who abandoned their life for the sake of Christ Jesus or the God would regain their life and even get eternal life.

Finally, to conquer corona-viruses, we had better forget about presence of the viruses, concentrate on what we should do, cooperate in saving others, the society, and the world, or pray to Christ Jesus or the God so that He would show their glory through the corona-pandemic.
