"Judgment Must Begin at the House of God"

(From a tunnel to above the Tokyo Bay...; Click to enlarge!)

"Judgment Must Begin at the House of God"

(Japan's Politics and New Economics)

I had a bad dream last night, since I took on a few bad guys with my weapons in it.

It has nothing to do with a late-night TV news program, since it was excellent as usual.

It might rather imply that I have wrong forecasts on some issues.

For example, I expect that the 2016 Olympics will be held in Tokyo; and Japanese Prime Minister Mr. Taro Aso will be soon replaced by opposition leader Mr. Ichiro Ozawa after the coming general election.

One or two of these two expectations might be wrong.

The 2016 Olympics might be held in Rio de Janeiro; and Japanese Prime Minister Mr. Taro Aso might win against opposition leader Mr. Ichiro Ozawa in the coming general election.

As for the 2016 Olympic Games, it might be rather better if it should not be held in Tokyo, since we will not be annoyed by a possibility of a great earthquake to hit Japan as was the case of China in 2008.

However, as the general election of the Lower House of Japan’s Diet is to be held by this September, the prediction of the results of the elections is imminently critical.

*** *** *** ***

An official secretary of opposition leader Mr. Ichiro Ozawa was arrested and indicted in March for violation of the Political Funding Regulation Law.

It is because Mr. Ichiro Ozawa received big money for many years from a construction company through an illegal channel. Through both illegal and legal channels, Mr. Ichiro Ozawa has received three million dollars (three hundred million yen) in this decade, a big surprise for innocent voters. The secretary has been in charge of managing Mr. Ozawa’s political funds in these years.

The result of the judicial trial is yet to be known; but the news gave great impact on the Japanese people in March; and some political commotion is still lasting while Mr. Ozawa is so far determined to keep his current position: the head of the Democratic Party of Japan.

With so many young politicians in the party, the resignation of Mr. Ozawa would probably weaken its organizational structure and capability. What’s more, Mr. Ozawa’s presence can suppress growth and infiltration of pro-North Korea forces within the party. Mr. Ozawa cannot casually leave the post which also protects him from the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office.

As the current ruling party LDP is now so unpopular, it is expected that Mr. Ozawa will win the coming election with so many handicaps and disadvantages.

Since the LDP is well associated with major corporations while the DPJ is with labor unions, this change in political administration is comparable with that achieved by Mr. Barack Obama.

Yet, the Japanese voters who want Mr. Ozawa to resign as head of the DPJ account for more than 65% of all. Nonetheless, it is highly expected that each party will secure almost the same number of seats in the Lower House of the national assembly after the election.

Due to Mr. Ozawa’s presence, if it should get off the balance in favor of the LDP, incumbent Prime Minister Mr. Taro Aso will continue his administration.

And, in this case, Prime Minister Mr. Aso might secure the longtime rule of the government.

However, there is a merit of Mr. Ozawa’s keeping his current position in the DPJ if not as prime minister of Japan, since his presence can suppress growth and infiltration of pro-North Korea forces within the DPJ.

(In case that Mr. Ichiro Ozawa should step down before the general election, Mr. Yukio Hatoyama will probably take up the post as the head of the largest opposition party in Japan, since Mr. Hatoyama is close to 40-year-career politician Mr. Ozawa.)

Now we have to review the relationship between Investment, Consumption, and National Income.

The conventional economics is wrong in that it neglects the largest stakeholder in a nation: businesses that function mainly and instinctively to increase their profits sacrificing workers and consumers, though the national income must be appropriately shared by workers and businesses and by consumers alone eventually.

The more businesses take the national income, the less workers take. It would be as if the final end of Investment would be to make businesses rich or increase their profits.

Therefore, to avoid this bias toward businesses, make workers rich, and make the national income meaningful, the profits those companies have gained must be fully distributed among workers and consumers.

It is so, since one of the reasons for the Great Depression is: the more businesses take from the national income, the less innocent workers take.

1Pe 4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

1Pe 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

"To Heal the Brokenhearted"

(Keynesian Economics and Corporate Profits)

If you are good at economics and not good at, say, baseball, you had better challenge baseball trying to deliver 3,000 or 4,000 hits in 17 years or 22 years.

It is so, since if you succeed in what you are good at, you will be forever a loser in evaluation on how much you can succeed in what you are weak at.

I am telling this to you, since I am confident in that this is the measure the God should apply to you.

*** *** *** ***

According to Keynesian economics, national income is the sum of consumption and investment.

Or more correctly, a change in national income is the sum of a change in consumption and a change in investment.

Y = C + I

But, C (consumption) and I (investment) are not independent from each other.

If "I" increases and goods are produced, "C" will also increase. When somebody buys goods in a nation, it will increase income of a seller. Eventually, if investment is increased, it will not only directly push up national income but also indirectly cause earning growth.

It is called the theory of the spending multiplier.

However, there is a trick in this explanation.

You can try to sell goods easily. But, you cannot buy goods easily. To buy goods, you need savings.

Put simply, Keynesian economics is not sufficient in terms of taking savings into consideration.

In reality, people have some amount of savings. But, their debts can surpass their savings. In this financial situation, people, namely consumers, cannot buy goods, even if a huge amount of investment is made into the industry.

Accordingly, in an economic slump where people have smaller savings than debts or loans, even if a government increases spending on public works projects, it cannot easily increase consumption and income of people.

Yet, as the industry will produce more goods due to investment, a huge amount of unsold goods will be accumulated in market, leading to deflation.

Now, it is said that a personal saving rate in the U.S. has been increasing since 2008, reaching 3%.

It is also said that a personal saving rate in Japan was 11.4% in 1997, but 2.2% in 2007.

It tells that Japan has been in deflation in this decade. But, the U.S. consumers have been allowed lucrative credit accommodation in these decades to the extent of causing the subprime-loan-based housing boom.

If the credit system is recovered for American consumers, its economy will be also restored, avoiding deflation. And then, Japanese exporters will enjoy another cycle of a boom.

However, the underlying issue of deflation in Japan remains, since Y = C + I + P where P is a dividend to consumers from businesses who have posted profits.

In other word, if businesses do not fully return their profits to consumers (not only to their shareholders, executives, and employees), the whole society might be led to deflation and dangerous deflation.

I repeat:

Y = C + I + P

Now, what makes the sudden and huge decrease in global trade of real goods must be checked. That is the American consumption.
----------------

The actual index is expressed as a number derived by comparing the current cost of goods and services to the cost of the same items between 1982-1984. The reference year is given a value equal to 100. Subsequent indices are expressed as a percentage of the base year.

http://www.ded.mo.gov/researchandplanning/indicators/inflation/index.stm
----------------

The above figure shows how exporters to the American market was damaged in the wake of the Wall Street shock in September 2008.

Of course, the issue is that no Nobel-Prize-winner class economists in the world could precisely predict this trend and transition indicated now so clearly in the figure of the American Consumer Price Index.

*** *** *** ***

When the summer Olympic Games was held in China in 2008, two great tragedies occurred in the world: the Great Sichuan Earthquake and the Wall Street Debacle.

Yet, Tokyo is highly expected to host the 2016 Olympics.

But, the greatest city in the world can of course concede the internationally honorable chance to Chicago or Rio de Janeiro, the two notable cities for legendary gangsters in the past and today.

Or which do you like to see Tokyo or the Olympics?

"Some Thirtyfold, Some Sixty, and Some An Hundred"

(Tokyo Area, Japan)

"Some Thirtyfold, Some Sixty, and Some An Hundred"

(DEFLATION)

Deflation is better than inflation, at least, for Japan.

But, before the American economy should get into real deflation in any future, the economy of the 21st century must be carefully studied.

---------------------------
Chinese growth slips to 6.1 percent

Thursday 16 April 2009

AFP - China's economy grew 6.1 percent in the first quarter, the government said Thursday, continuing a startling slowdown for a country that not long ago was seeing double-digit growth rates.

...

Urban fixed asset investments rose 28.6 percent in the first quarter, while in March alone the increase was 30.3 percent year-on-year, the bureau said.

The figure is a measure of government spending on infrastructure, which got a huge boost in November with a four-trillion-yuan (580-billion-dollar) package aimed at warding off the effects of the global economic crisis.

Industrial output expanded 5.1 percent in the first quarter of 2009 from a year earlier, while in March it increased by 8.3 percent, the government said.

China's industrial output, which illustrates activity in the nation's millions of factories and workshops, rose 12.9 percent in 2008.

http://www.france24.com/en/20090416-china-growth-economic-slowdown-gdp-domestic-growth
---------------------------

Germany, France, and even the U.K. have a kind of large domestic consumer base called Europe.

The U.S. has 300-million consumer base.

But, Japan is unique not only in that its consumer base of 120 million is confined in a California-size land but also in that it has too powerful production capability which can only normally function with huge overseas client bases.

So, Japan has cultivated the Chinese market after its success in fully securing the American market. But, there has been a cost to secure the Chinese market: deflation.

The so-called "100-Yen (one-dollar) Shop" is symbolic in this context, since an influx of cheap Chinese commodities into the Japanese consumer market since 1990's have reached Japanese consumers through this kind of discount shops having been introduced into almost every street of major cities in Japan one after another.

The large-scale sale of cheap Chinese commodities have partly damaged and changed traditional value systems in Japan, leading to deflation as observed today.

In the middle of 1990's, the 100-Yen Shops offering every item imported from China at 100 yen triggered deflation in Japan where all the consumers already possessed everything they needed in their humble daily life, including cars, TVs, computers, telephones, brand bags, manga comic books, and high-quality of any kind of service provision while Japan's nature was under a threat from too much development and desire-driven building/demolition projects.

Though no Nobel-winner-class Western economists have ever argued, Japanese economic growth must have been suppressed to protect its nature and environment as well as the spirit and soul of the Japanese race. And it has been so suppressed in the form of deflation.

(Yet, in principle, with the two great markets of America and China secured for Japanese businesses, Japan is expected to sustain its economy and avoid any decisive economic crisis, which is now truly being tested.)

*** *** *** ***

When winners do not mind life of losers, deflation could prevail in the society.

When smart people have won competition, including price competition, deflation could prevail in the society, since it would not be a threat to those winners any more.

Such winners whose largest concern at any time is whether they can keep their positions in a company or a market as they cannot be respected in other places would really try to win competition even introducing deflation.

I mean that deflation is one of the worst results of competition in market or the society.

(N'oubliez pas qu'ils sont plus intelligents que vous, mais vous pouvez éviter les dommages dus à la déflation sans nuire à d'autres personnes si vous le respect de Dieu. And a mountain will not be deflated.

"All the Temptation"

"All the Temptation"

"American Dream vs. Christian Dream"

If Mrs. Obama failed in her management of a family dog, it would not harm dignity of the people's nation United States of America.

But, if somebody failed in something, it would harm the European Civilization.

That is why U.S. Ambassador to the Vatican is significantly counted as such.

Anyway, the Buddha is believed to have been born on April 8 by the Japanese and the Chinese, while Jesus Christ is scientifically believed to be born in Spring, as I once discussed in this blog.

------------------------
In Baghdad, hundreds of Iraqi Christians marked Easter in a country where thousands of the religion's followers have fled the majority Muslim nation since the 2003 US-led invasion.

According to Christian leaders, 250,000 of the 800,000 Christians who lived in Iraq before the invasion six years ago that ousted dictator Saddam Hussein, have now left the country. Christians make up three percent of the population.

China has millions of Catholics who either attend mass at official churches overseen by the communist government, or who are part of illegal, "underground" congregations.

Loyal to the Pope, the latter run the risk of being questioned, beaten and even imprisoned, according to critics.

"The situation is going from bad to worse," said Joseph Kung of the Cardinal Kung Foundation, a US-based Catholic activist group.

In a case raised by the Vatican, underground bishop Jia Zhiguo has been in detention since March 30 in the northern province of Hebei.

Meanwhile, a Swedish church unveiled a life-sized statue of Jesus made up of nearly 30,000 Lego bricks donated by churchgoers, pastor Per Wilder of the Oensta Gryta Church in Vaesteras, about 110 kilometres (70 miles) west of Stockholm, told AFP.

And New York Archbishop Edward Egan officiated at his last Easter Mass before his retirement, sending a message of hope from the United States to the world.

"Today my prayer for all of us is that we listen to the message of Easter," said 77-year-old Egan, who will be replaced Wednesday as head of the key New York archdiocese by Milwaukee Archbishop Timothy Dolan.

In Washington, President Barack Obama and his family attended Easter services at St. John's Episcopal Church, just across from the White House.

It should be also noted that when the sun enters Aries in the sky, the Thai people recognize it as an indication of the coming of a new year, which is usually April 13.

And this 2009/4/13 was really the end of the large-scale civil strife in Bangkok.

This week a new year truly began, though I don't know if you have ever received a new year card in these days.

Respecting a Keynesian-style demand policy, it might be reasonable to construct a Shinkansen super-express railroad line from New York to Los Angeles.

It will carry you in 12 hours from New York to Los Angeles.

In addition, GM can be converted to a railroad company.

Then, economy will be recovered, the nature will be preserved, and energy shortage will be avoided; Oh what a wonderful century this is!

"Springing up into Everlasting Life"

(It took more than 900 million years for a multi cellular organism to grow to mankind, passing through an era of the fish 450 million years ago; It will take 900 months or 900 minutes for a man to see the kingdom of God.)

"Springing up into Everlasting Life"

Charity-Based Religion

(In Preparation...)

American Christianity is a kind of charity-based religion.

They contribute to charity organizations from three motivations:
Natural one
Worldly one
Spiritual one.

If an American is good-natured trying to improve environment in which he/she lives while respecting the teaching of the Holy Book, this respectable person would surely provide aid for a charity.

But, to whom or through what organization?

------------------------
Charity Rankings Giveth Less Than Meets the Eye

The Ratings of Nonprofits Are Often Uncharitable, Sometimes Failing to Credit Crucial Factors Such as Success

Call it a false sense of humanity.

It may make you feel better to know that your charitable donations are going to organizations that have been highly rated by any number of online charity rankings. But these sites fail to quantify the most-important and most elusive charity measurement: success in achieving its mission.

...

It's hard to know how much these ratings influence donors. Surveys have asked them; 92% of visitors to Charity Navigator who fill out the site's survey say their visit influenced their decision. But Prof. Rooney said that due diligence for charitable giving is "like God, Mom, and apple pie" -- things people are inclined to tell strangers they value even if they don't. Fully investigating a charity is, for many donors, "not worth the due diligence it would take."

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122963299671419401.html?mod=article-outset-box
------------------------

Anyway, let's check reality of rating charity organizations:

------------------------

Apart from the theme in this section, I have now a feeling that Hispanics and women will play a major role in the coming 2012 Presidential Election of the U.S., since they look like going "A" all the way.

The agenda must be the relationship between the American Dream and the American Charity.

The general finding is that if you think you have attained your American Dream, you would like to give donations to some charity.

But, if you have been sacrificed for others' American Dream, you would like to receive help from some charity.

In my view, charity is a concept by which we measure absence of the kingdom of God.

Due to the Pacifist Constitution, Japan has military forces only for self defence of the nation but not for war.

If you are an Asian living somewhere far from Japan, you might understand why Americans look four times more arrogant than the Japanese.

If you are an Asian living somewhere far from Japan, you might understand why the British and the French look twice more arrogant than the Japanese.

And, you may reasonably muse, "Indeed, Israel is the most natural and possible part of the U.S."

At present, I don't think I have to take into consideration the size of population of each country in trying to get the perspective of the international power relationships, since the War on Terror is in its decade-long attrition phase and Wall Street is in its decade-long subdued phase.

"The Mystery of the Kingdom of God"

"The Mystery of the Kingdom of God"

First of all, not all the people feel and think in the same manner you do.

Somebody hates the number "4" and others hate the number "13."

Today, I saw three different cars each of which had the license plate number "1."

I mean that their license numbers were all literally "...1" but not "00-01," though you may regard it as "00-01."

For the first time in my life, I have encountered three different cars in a time interval of 10 to 30 minutes each of which has the license plate number "...1" while tens of thousands of cars are running on these streets around Tokyo...

(There is a rumor that you can buy such a lucky license number from its legal and original owner through private negotiations.

Only vehicles owned by the Japanese Self Defence Force seem to have a different and unique license number system in Japan.

My old cars had always humble license numbers as are usual for all the commodities around me, though I know what they are who are in the opposite situation...)

Since 2003, the American defence industry took advantage of a boom. Incredible business chances must have been offered to them with the launch of the Iraqi War. Accordingly, rich men, very rich men, and super rich men in the industry got further richer. And, who would do a number on them as they were waging Stars and Stripes?

Yet, your concern must be whether they could comment intelligently on Mr. Barack Obama's startling accession to the U.S. Presidency, since the War in Iraqi served as a precursor for Mr. Obama's presidency.

And, of course, the decisive factor for realization of President Mr. Obama is that fall of Wall Street in September 2008.

In short, the realization of the first half-African/half-European American president owed to the Iraqi War since 2003 and the fall of Wall Street since 2008.

But, which is more significant in history: the first half-African/half-European American president or the combined American crisis of the War on Terror and the fall of Wall Street?

Anyway, there are three historic incidents already in the 21st century: the War on Terror; the Fall of Wall Street; and President Mr. Barack Hussein Obama.

But, the main concern of EEE Reporter is the Vatican, 100km from which a great earthquake occurred recently.

It is so, since complete change in religion of the Vatican would have an influence on the world graver than the combined effect of the War on Terror, the Fall of Wall Street, and President Mr. Barack Hussein Obama.

I think it can be the only incident for mankind where one might be able to have a glimpse of, say, the kingdom of God, so long told and interpreted all in vain to comprehend it.

C'est tout pour aujourd'hui, mon cher ami.

"In Right Paths"

(Japan in Spring)

"In Right Paths"

(In Preparation...)

Rich men, very rich men, and super rich men never study history in earnest.

Rich men, very rich men, and super rich men never follow teaching of religion.

It is because history and religion tell them to abandon their wealth and power.

Moreover, they think they do not need history or religion to enjoy their life.

But, what is worse is that they encourage young people to follow them, neglecting history and religion so as to be rich, very rich, and super rich.

Now, the state of history in the early 21st century is as follows, since we have to study history to follow teachings of the God.

The state of Japan in the early 21st century is expressed in the article below:

After Japan, Germany ranked second with net external assets worth 107.57 trillion yen as of Dec. 31, 2007. It was followed by China, Hong Kong and Switzerland, with figures for all three based on data as of the end of 2006.

China's holding more than doubled in 2006 to 78.75 trillion yen at the end of the year. The United States was the world's largest debtor as of the end of 2006 with 302.09 trillion yen worth of net external debts.

The balance of net external assets is calculated by subtracting the total amount of loans, direct investment and other forms of investment in Japan by nonresident investors from those made overseas by Japanese public and private sectors as well as individuals.

The state of the world in the early 21st century is shown in the figure below:

Among those major financial powers in the world, only Japan is unique in that its economic success is based on its unique civilization that can stand against the European civilization.

The U.S. is just on extension of the European civilization; Brazil is on extension of the European civilization; India's modern infrastructures were built under the British colonization; and Chinese social systems and governmental functions are based on the European philosophy, though from the beginning modern Chinese are materialistic.

That is why politicians, economists, journalists, and pundits in the world often sense something difficult to understand in the Japanese success; and thus they hate it rather than respect it.

In other word, Japanese rich men belong to the Japanese civilization; but rich men in the world usually belong to the paradigm of the European Civilization.

Accordingly, I once declared that mankind has only two types of its members: Japanese and the rest of mankind.

If you cannot accept it, observe carefully rich men, very rich men, and super rich men in the world. The more you check them, the more they look like each other.

Indeed, Japanese spiritualism makes the Japanese people oriented to being poor, no matter how large wealth the nation Japan has.

Truly, Jesus Christ said that people are divided into the poor and the rich.

Japan's Prime Minister Mr. Taro Aso is said to have been raised in a house where a butler took care of him.

But, I would only hire myself in case, if I have to one.

So, you must not misunderstand me, if you think I could hurl a very big shoe to Wall Street over the Pacific Ocean at any time, whenever Allah so wishes.

Poll: More view Afghan war as 'mistake'

By Tom Vanden Brook, USA TODAY

WASHINGTON — American support for the war in Afghanistan has ebbed to a new low, as attacks on U.S. troops and their allies have hit record levels and commanders are pleading for reinforcements, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows.

In the poll taken Saturday and Sunday, 42% of respondents said the United States made "a mistake" in sending military forces to Afghanistan, up from 30% in February.

That's the highest mark since the poll first asked the question in November 2001 when the U.S.-led invasion ousted the Taliban government that sheltered al-Qaeda terrorists responsible for the 9/11 terror attacks.

In January 2002, 6% of respondents called the war "a mistake."

Yet, as Alexander the Great was stopped at Afghanistan 320 B.C. or so, the American Glory is to be stopped in the Afghan War in the 21st century.

And, as Alexander the Great lost his life in Baghdad 2300 years ago, the American Glory might be truly put an end to through its military involvement in Mesopotamia in the early 21st century.

Obama, who opposed the invasion of Iraq ordered by his predecessor George W. Bush, has used his debut overseas tour to reach out to the Islamic world and attempt to restore America's battered image abroad.

Ending the war which sparked an insurgency that cost thousands of lives would mark a new era of US diplomacy including "principled and sustained engagement" with Iraq's neighbours Iran and Syria, Obama has said.

Bush was the last US president to visit Iraq in a trip overshadowed by a local journalist who hurled his shoes at him.

Iraqi TV reporter Muntazer al-Zaidi gained global fame and was seen as hero in much of the Arab world for his farewell gesture to a deeply unpopular president.

He was jailed last month for three years by a Baghdad court, but the sentence was cut on Tuesday to one year by an appeals tribunal.

If you hurl anything, such as a shoe bomb or a plain shoe, to a man unarmed, no matter how high his rank is in military establishment, it cannot be an act of a brave man.

Nonetheless, I am not against the court decision to shorten the term of imprisonment for the culprit.

The Lord God said to me that there would be a miracle in the sky and wonders on the ground.

Indeed, North Korea failed in its relaese of an artificial satellite to a space orbit by the Taepodong-2 missile rocket on Sunday.

Truly, a great earthquake hit a city some 100km far from Rome, Italy, on Monday, taking 150 and more lives and destroying tens of thousands of houses.

In other word, North Korea has failed in posing a threat to Japan and the U.S.; Mt. Fuji, a great live volcao, 100km far from Tokyo still stands still.

There is an American report book that seems to have heavily contributed to realization of the first-dark-skinned President of the United States of America:

--------------------
Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America

Millions of Americans work full-time, year-round, for poverty level wages. During a literary lunch with one of her editors, distinguished journalist Barbara Ehrenreich was persuaded to join them and find out how an incredible 30 per cent of the population manage to survive on eight dollars an hour or less (answer: they do two jobs). With a start-up fund of a thousand dollars (more than most of these wage slaves can hope to save in a lifetime) she left her home in Florida and her partner behind her, took the cheapest lodgings she could find and accepted the first job she was offered (waitressing). For the next two years she worked her way around the US, in a succession of dead-end jobs - cleaning, care work, folding clothes at Wal-Mart. She lived, like her colleagues, in trailers and dingy motel rooms (few can afford the deposit and first month's rent on a decent apartment). The world she inhabited was governed by insane, Kafkaesque rules familiar to anyone who's ever held down a casual job - no 'comfort breaks'; no minimum wage for waitresses, because of the tips they (theoretically) receive; humiliating drug tests that exclude the most counter-productive drug of all (alcohol); personality tests designed - in the most transparent fashion - to sort the troublemakers from the team players. Of course, Ehrenreich had a get-out clause which she could invoke at any time, and she resolutely refuses to feel sorry for herself. She also knows that few of her co-workers have that luxury. They are the foot soldiers of the American Dream - understaffed, underpaid and underfed. Determined to remain detached, Ehrenreich still cares. Her reportage is tough and committed. It is also laugh-out-loud funny. A New York Times bestseller, the book carries a typically passionate introduction from Polly Toynbee. Don't buy from Wal-Mart. Buy this book instead. "An Offering unto the LORD"

(Last evening I saw miracles in the sky. Several jets were unusually crossing the dusk sky, as if racing. Then I heard a news report that North Korea failed in delivering the satellite from its missile rocket over the Pacific Ocean... )

"An Offering unto the LORD"

(North Korea Failed in Satellite Release)

(In Preparation...)

"North Korea failed in its highly vaunted effort to fire a satellite into orbit, military and private experts said Sunday after reviewing detailed tracking data that showed the missile and payload fell into the sea. Some said the failure undercut the North Korean campaign to come across as a fearsome adversary able to hurl deadly warheads halfway around the globe."

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/06/world/asia/06korea.html?_r=2&hp

North Korea failed, since there is a reason for its failure.

The despotic nation has a radar capability that can only cover a 1,000km range, while depending on technical reports from Japan and the U.S. in tracking its long-range missile rocket, according to a military source of South Korea.

North Korea failed, since it has not released Japanese citizens abducted by them.

*** *** *** ***

In the G20 Economic Summit in London, they must have discussed a special measure to force rich people in the U.S. and the U.K. to buy evacuated homes due to subprime loan payment default.

It is very controversial for any government to force any rich citizens to buy any specific goods as a duty. However, in light of the scale of the financial crisis for which the U.S. and the U.K. are very responsible, they have to enforce such a measure so as to vitalize economy.

If the U.S. government order 10 million rich people to buy houses under foreclosure proceedings, credit supply to poor citizens can be improved and expanded. It will help economy get back on the track.

Even in the 1929 Great Depression, the U.S. Government should have ordered rich citizens to purchase something real, commercial, industrial, and international and invest in the Empire of Japan and other countries. Such ultimate enforcement must have really saved the world in 1930's and 1940's.

JAPAN vs North Korea's Missile Rocket

JAPAN vs North Korea's Missile Rocket

North Korea plans to launch a satellite with a missile rocket sometime between April 4 and April 8.

---------------------------
For this reason Japan's UN ambassador, Yukio Takasu, yesterday requested an emergency meeting of the Security Council to discuss possible sanctions against Pyongyang saying that the launch violates UN resolutions that ban further ballistic missile tests.

But China, North Korea’s main ally, is almost certain to veto new sanctions.

For their part the United States, Japan and South Korea have threatened to intercept the missile if it flies over their territory.

http://www.asianews.it/index.php?l=en&art=14908&geo=27&size=A
---------------------------

Japan plans not to intercept the missile rocket if it flies over its territory without a threat to Japan as planned by North Korea.

But, Japan is ready to intercept the missile rocket only if it should get out of the planned orbit and fall onto the Japan's territory by accident.

(Maybe to be continued...)

One hour after I wrote the above portion of today's special posting, North Korea actually fired its missile rocket to launch the so-called 2nd artificial satellite for North Korea since 1998.

One hour before now, namely 11:30 of Sunday in Japan, as I am writing this around 12:30, North Korea launched the Taepodong-2 missile rocket which flew over the Japanese territory without a trouble; but the final success of its space mission is yet to know.

(Maybe to be further continued...)

If North Korea would not come into negotiations for peace with Japan, especially, to address the freedom of a hundred or so Japanese citizens having been abducted by North Korean secret agents having been acting on mainland Japan since the Korean War, its success of launching a ballistic-missile-type rocket, which can reach Washington D.C., shall not be respected by the World.

Iran must not purchase such rockets from North Korea.

"Thee Things Which Must be Hereafter"

"Thee Things Which Must be Hereafter"

A few years ago, Nippon Television Network Corporation, a major Japanese TV broadcasting station, conducted a popularity poll that resulted in the following ranking of historical characters:

No.1....Oda Nobunaga
(a 16th century warlord of Japan)
No.2....Sakamoto Ryoma
(the last hero of the samurai era in the 19th century of Japan)
No.3....Thomas Edison
(an American inventor)
No.4....Toyotomi Hideyoshi
(a 16th century virtual king of Japan)
No.5....Konosuke Matsushita
(the founder of Panasonic of Japan)
No.6....Tokugawa Ieyasu
(the first shogun of the last samurai dynasty of Japan)
No.7....Hideyo Noguchi
(a Japanese medical scientist)
No.8....Mother Teresa
(a Catholic nun having helped the poor in India)
No.9....Helen Keller
(an American handicapped heroine)
No.10....Hijikata Saizo
(a samurai hero at the end of the Tokugawa samurai regime)

It is a surprise that five of the top 10 heroes are samurais. Two Americans are also highly respected by Japanese TV audiences. While only one Japanese successful businessman is ranked in the top 10 list, three humanitarian-field heroes are highly appraised.

For reference, Cleopatra is No.70; Princess Diana No.12; and Jeanne d'Arc No.83.

But, who and what is Oda Nobunaga?

("Oda" is his surname and "Nobunaga" is his first name. But, a name of a historical figure of Japan is expressed in a Japanese manner: a surname first and a first name next.)

Put simply he is the leading samurai or bushi of the age of bloody provincial wars in Japan from the middle of the 15th century to the late 16th century.

Owing to Nobunaga's bloody success, Hideyoshi could put whole Japan under his control to be a virtual king of Japan. And, owing to Nobunaga's bloody success, Ieyasu could succeed Hideyoshi through fierce civil wars to set the foundation of the last samurai dynasty that lasted from the early 16th century to the late 19th century.

However, Nobunaga owes his success to Western products. He was the first Japanese samurai lord that adopted matchlock guns or harquebuses in a large scale in real battle fields. Nobunaga was also known as a great protector of Catholic missionaries from the Vatican to accept them into his territory, while fighting fierce battles against some Buddhist-sect insurgents. He also promoted importation of Western goods useful for his venture to dominate the whole country with arms and soldiers.

No matter how bloody his success was, Nobunaga acted and behaved like a real hero. He truly looked like having a new paradigm at least in the art of war. He is the No.1 iconoclast in the Japanese history, though he had commonsense enough, for example, to respect support of a samurai's faithful wife.

Yet, put simply he is the leading samurai or bushi of the age of bloody provincial wars in Japan from the middle of the 15th century to the late 16th century.

The G20 Economic Summit in London was over. Some people are now talking and telling that the era of G2 of USA and China has come.

From the beginning, this economic crisis was triggered in New York and London while China was not cooperating with Japan for global financial stability. Every underlying condition of the G20 Summit does not justify its venue and attitudes toward China.

Finally, let's check the trend of direct investment from Japan to China in the past two decades:

The basic paradigm for the 21st century economy must probably be created around the space-scale of the future view of mankind.

Yet, we had better check the present state of the space industry today:

----------------------
San Diego, California – June 11, 2008 – The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) today released its 2008 State of the Satellite Industry Report, showing a 16 percent growth in global revenues for the commercial satellite industry. Worldwide revenues in 2007 were $123 billion, representing an average annual growth of 11.5 percent for the period from 2002-2007...

Satellite services revenues continued to drive the overall industry, with a 60 percent total share of industry revenues. Detailed findings of the report indicate that:
- Satellite services revenues grew more than 18 percent, with satellite television contributing nearly three-quarters of the $73.9 billion in 2007 satellite services revenues.

- Launch services revenue grew to $3.2 billion in 2007, increasing nearly 19 percent from 2006.

- Strong sales in consumer hardware resulted in a 19 percent rise in ground equipment revenues over the previous year, posting 2007 revenues of $34.3 billion.

- More satellites were launched in 2007 than in 2006, but satellite manufacturing revenues dipped slightly from $11.6 billion, reflecting a higher number of microsatellites launched.

----------------------

What inhibits deployment of mankind in the outer space is not technology.

It is a level of humanity of mankind.

With such greed and malevolence in addition to disregard of the poor and the weak, which are often observed among successful Americans, Europeans, and Chinese, mankind must not be allowed to advance to the universe.

Yet, technically, mankind needs an economic paradigm of the 21st century with a greater view on the earth and its future, namely in the scale of the whole planet.

In this context, a frontier spirit toward the space is more acceptable than a greedy spirit being embodied on the subprime loan-based money making on Wall Street.

If you without enough love to your enemies don't discover how much tainted or crooked your mind gets when looking up at the blue sky in the spring, your spirit might not be sound and righteous at all.

Anyway, the future is for young people; and I suppose they love the space.

Let an old paradigm pass, since a cannon can deliver the dirge of the end of an era.

It is so, since I don't care sometimes whether it is fired or even not.

(Quel est le temps et l'espace, tout comme l'argent et le confort sans la foi et l'amour, mon ami? Yet, the fearful God sometimes directly commands time and space surrounding your existence and life. Have at least a natural fear of God, if He is so benevolent to mankind...
