God's Anger Driving Mongolian Cavalry around 1300

God's Anger Driving Mongolian Cavalry around 1300

Last night I saw an Italian movie "Il Ferroviere (the railroad man)" on an NHK BS channel.

Streets and people in late 1950's in Italy, presented in mono color pictures, look somehow nostalgic.

A good house wife and a tough husband look almost the same all over the world.

(In a room of the railroad man's family, a Japanese ukiyoe, a picture of everyday life in the Edo period, presenting a woman with an oiled-paper umbrella was faintly observed on the wall.)

The big difference between Israelites and Greeks in the ancient world lies in ethics.

The core of the Israelite culture is ethics; but the core of the Greek Civilization is beauty and order.

It is partly why, though Greeks could not conquer the Middle East and Persia, the Alexander the Great of Macedonia, with special power, taught some ethics by great philosopher Diogenes could do.

Even when Romans, alike without ethics comparable with Israelites', combined systems and technology with Greek's beauty and order, they could not advance to the east over the Euphrates River, though they could finally destroy the kingdom of Israelites around the first century.

But, when Hellenism and Hebraism were combined in Western Europe under the authority of Vatican in Rome, Europeans got super potential that allowed them to expand all over the world eventually.

Before WWII, the world proved the super potential of the combination of ethics (Israelites), beauty and order (Greeks), power (Macedonians), and systems and technology (Romans); most parts of Asia, Africa, and Latin America were colonized by the West.

But, the most important element was ethics. Without it, you cannot even ask for Heaven's good wish in war against enemies with their own religion.

Nonetheless, development of Europe was not without a decisive crisis.

In 1236, the Mongolian Empire decided to invade Europe. They defeated Russians, Poles, Hungarians, and Germans, and got prepared for invasion upon the Italian Peninsula.

But, as their Khan (great emperor) died of disease and they had to choose his successor, they decided to stop attacks on Italy and returned to Central Asia.

They have never come back to Europe since then.

Instead, they decided to conquer the Islamic world.

In 1256, the Mongolian Empire decided to invade Persia, the Arab land, and Egypt under the Mameluke kingdom. They conquered Persians and Arabs and occupied Baghdad; and were ready to attack Jerusalem occupied by Muslims of the Mameluke kingdom.

But, again, as their Khan died of disease, they had to withdraw major troops and powerful cavalry from the front and thus got defeated by Muslims.

They have never come back to Palestine since then.

Instead, they decided to conquer Japan.

In 1274 and 1281, they tried to invade Japan on board almost 1000 ships in vain. A then Japanese samurai regime fought bravely and Kamikaze (a typhoon called the God Wind) helped samurais.

Since then, the Mongolian Empire failed in invading Vietnam as well as Indonesia.

The Mongolian Empire was thus doomed to retreat forever.

The key to success of the Mongolian Empire lied in their attitude to religion. They accepted Buddhists, Christians, Muslims, and Israelites as long as they could contribute to the Empire and the Khan who had simple faith in Great Heaven.

But, probably for a reason related to human religion, the God stopped the military advancement of the Mongolian Empire.

As if the God had changed his mind, He saved Vatican, Islam, and Japan in the 13th century.

What symbols this great historic drama is Japan's Buddhism Enlightened (around 1300).

Without this spiritual development among Japanese, Japan must have not received the God's favor in the late 13th century.

Or, as the God had spared Vatican and Islam, He also spared Japan to balance power in the future world, say, in the 20th century and 21st century.

That is why Japan is entitled to take a glorious position in "Development of Underlying Spiritual Events of Mankind:

But why did the God, most probably, get angry with Vatican and Islam around 1300?

(I hope that present Muslims and Christians humbly reflect the history in this context.)

The God allowed for establishment of Islam 600 years after establishment of Vatican for some reasons, most probably, including anger on Vatican.

But, 600 years later after establishment of Islam, the God seems to have allowed for establishment of the Mongolian Empire to have the Empire destroy both Vatican and Islam for some reasons, most probably, including anger on Vatican and Islam.

However, the God seems to have changed His mind so as to save Vatican and Islam as He was highly satisfied with Japan.

This is my interpretation of the great world history, which seems to have been proven by the global state just before WWII.

Therefore Christians and Muslims had better listen to Japanese; and I am here.

(You would most probably love to hear about "American Denominations Expanded (around 1900)." You shall not be disappointed.)
