"living water"

Dilemma of Voters

There is one common thing between Former President Ronald Reagan and Mr. George W. Bush.

They respect Christianity so much, while they have spent eight years in the White House.

However would poor American voters vote for Ronald Reagan or Mr. George W. Bush, only if a Democratic Presidential candidate looked less Christian than either Ronald Reagan or Mr. George W. Bush?

In this context, religious merit has never been a major factor for Japanese voters choosing candidates for prime minister, namely members of the National Diet, after WWII (New Komeito candidates might be a little different).

Yet, even before WWII, in Japanese elections, religion seems to have never taken a major part, since everybody had religious merit unique to Japanese spiritualism.

SECTION I: 1920's & 2000's

If a very influential figure in the U.S., such as Mr. Henry Kissinger, thinks that the Imperial military planes of Japan attacked and bombed Europeans, Americans, and Judaists living in Shanghai City in 1937, his whole career would bear no fruits, since it was Chinese attack planes that bombed Japanese citizens and Western residents living and working in Shanghai districts for foreigners. And, it was the Imperial Army that protected Europeans, Americans, and Judaists living in Shanghai City in 1937 from Chinese troops attacking from outside the city, being led by a German general and officers, being equipped with Czech machine guns, and being reinforced by made-in-America air planes and USSR military supplies.

However, preceding this 1937 incident in Shanghai that led to the Pearl Harbor Attack tragically, things had been critically progressing in 1920's.

In 1920's, there were many American businesses operating in the Chinese market.

Rockefellers also run their business in China from their headquarters in Shanghai under protection of the military of the Empire of Japan.

Harriman invested into South Manchuria Railway. And, the Manchuria incident which led to occupation of Manchuria by the Imperial Army of Japan was yet to occur.

In this period, the Japan-U.S. relationship was not so bad. When the Great Kanto Earthquake hit Tokyo in 1923 taking on 140,000 lives, American people sent many relief supplies to Japan.

However, the atmosphere seems to have changed drastically following the start of the Great Depression in 1929.

Today, there are many American businesses operating in the Chinese market.

Mr. Rockefeller and U.S. elites often visit China under the restraining checks by the Japan-U.S. security alliance.

In the period of the Koizumi-Bush cooperation, the Japan-U.S. relationship was not so bad at all.

However, the atmosphere seems to be changing gradually following the Lehman Shock in 2008, the start of the Obama Administration in 2009, and the revelation of incompetent handling by the Hatoyama Cabinet of the U.S. matters such as the Okinawa Marine base and the coordinated efforts against Islamic terrorists.

Nonetheless, the big difference is found in the Japan-China relationship and also in the level of American people's understanding of Japan and Japanese.

In summary, this time no conspiracy would be successful, so that Japan will never fall into a trap of being drawn into the new Japan-China War and triggering the second Pearl Harbor Attack.

SECTION II: American Class Models

Let's make it clear who the super-rich are, the rich are, and the poor are:
----------
Academic Class Models

Leonard Beeghley, 2004

The super-rich (0.9%)
Multi-millionaires whose incomes commonly exceed $350,000; includes celebrities and powerful executives/politicians. Ivy League education common.

The Rich (5%)
Households with net worth of $1 million or more; largely in the form of home equity. Generally have college degrees.

Middle class (plurality/majority?; ca. 46%)
College educated workers with incomes considerably above-average incomes and compensation; a man making $57,000 and a woman making $40,000 may be typical.

Working class (ca. 40% - 45%)
Blue collar workers and those whose jobs are highly routinized with low economic security; a man making $40,000 and a woman making $26,000 may be typical. High school education.

The poor (ca. 12%)
Those living below the poverty line with limited to no participation in the labor force; a household income of $18,000 may be typical. Some high school education.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_middle_class#Income
----------

About 70% of American households do not belong to super-rich, rich, and upper middle circles.

Roughly speaking there are one million lawyers and 0.9 million medical doctors in the United States, who combined account for 1.6% of the American households.

Accordingly, the case in each major election will be mainly decided by lower middle class voters and working class voters who belong to industry, commerce, service, or public sectors, accounting for 58% of American households.

With 4% votes coming from the 12% poor who register, if 80% of these 58% American lower-middle-class/working-class voters vote for Democrats, Democrats can win.

Even with 6% votes coming from the 12% poor who register, Democrats need 76% of these 58% American lower-middle-class/working-class voters vote to win.

So, the true swing voters fall in 4% of these 58% American lower-middle-class/working-class voters, since they account for 2.3% of all the American voters who can make a Presidential election result in 52.3% vs. 47.7%.

In the 2008 election, Mr. Barack Obama's popular vote percentage was 52.9%.

Yet, all the poor need is faith in the God and belief in Jesus Christ to make their contribution in a Presidential election full 12%, whether or not resulting in an overwhelming victory of a Democratic candidate for the American Presidency.

*** *** *** ***

Would poor American voters vote for Democratic candidates, even if they look less Christian than Republican candidates?

They would vote for candidates looking more American than Christian.

Does being American mean being rich? If so, how much?

Joh 4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

Joh 4:8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)

Joh 4:9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

Joh 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
