Rich Americans and Rich Chinese against Poor Americans
(Japonais riches et pauvres comme des amis américains)
Probably most of poor Americans are happy being part of the great nation of America.
But, which have contributed more to the greatness of America: rich Americans or poor Americans?
It is Christian Americans no matter if they are rich or poor.
But, Japan has also greatly contributed to America as it has to the Chinese success.
But, China might come before poor Americans as if they were another Japan, trying to win thanks, respect, and influential power among poor Americans many of whom China has created.

Rising tide of US poverty near 60s levels
By Hope Yen and Liz Sidoti 5:30 AM Wednesday Sep 15, 2010
Demographers found wide consensus that 2009 figures are likely to show a significant rate increase to the range of 14.7 per cent to 15 per cent.
Should those estimates hold true, about 45 million people in the United States, or more than 1 in 7, were poor last year.
* Child poverty increased from 19 per cent to more than 20 per cent.
* Blacks and Latinos were disproportionately hit, based on their higher rates of unemployment.
* Metropolitan areas that posted the largest gains in poverty included Modesto, California; Detroit; Cape Coral-Fort Myers, Florida; Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
In 2008, the poverty level stood at US$22,025 ($30,174) for a family of four, based on an official government calculation that includes only cash income before tax deductions.

dT: Increase in the total population (T)
dP: Increase in the poor (P)
R: Ratio of poverty
R = (P + dP) / (T + dT)
=(P/T + dP/T) / (1 + dt/T)
If dp/T << dt/T,
R = (P/T) / (1 + dt/T)
= P / (T + dt)...??
So, while there is a steady increase in the poor, if there is a larger increase in the total population who are yet to get poor enough, the ratio of poverty decreases.
In summary, young Americans and (legal) immigrants to America who are counted but yet to be categorized into the poor have contributed to the above figure on the American poverty trend: the absolute number of the poor is increasing, but the poverty ratio is decreasing.
But, the time of truth has come with the 2009 data at hand of the American media...
SECTION II: Chinese Poverty
While 45 million people in the United States are poor, Chinese people living in absolute poverty, according to national poverty line criteria, had decreased from about 260 million to about 14 million.
-------------------
Rural poverty in China
Population pressure strains the productive capacity of the 10 per cent of the land area that is suitable for sustained cultivation. An increasing number of livestock compete for fodder on fragile rangelands. Flood-prone areas and deteriorating irrigation systems result in waterlogging and salinization. Encroaching deserts threaten formerly productive land.
As a result of these policy shifts, China has been undergoing continuous economic growth since 1978. By 2008 per capita income had increased sixfold, and the number of people living in absolute poverty, according to national poverty line criteria, had decreased from about 260 million to about 14 million.
Despite China's strong and sustained economic growth, poverty is still persistent, especially in remote rural areas. Income inequalities between eastern and western China have broadened, and the income gap between rural and urban residents has widened considerably since the late 1970s.

However, according to "Poverty Alleviation in China: A Lesson for the Developing World?" written by Chinese researchers, there can be still 75 million poor people in China.
-------------------
Note: This table displays the official poverty headcount in China, based on the coresponding poverty line and lowincome cut-off lines. The poverty line was increased from 100 yuan per person per year in 1978 to 668 yuan in 2004. Poverty statistics based on the low-income line are available since 2000, when the cut-off point was at 865 yuan per person per year. Since then the low-income line was increased to 924 yuan. According to these critieria, the most severe poverty in China was reduced from 250 million in 1978 to 26 million in 2004 (based on poverty line) and from 95 million in 2000 to 76 million in 2004 (based on the low-income line).

SECTION III: Conclusions or The Chinese American-Dream
China is growing in terms of industry and economy to catch up with Japan.
In contrast, America is now racing with China in terms of poverty.
Yet, super-rich Americans do not mind any such statistics, since America cannot be attacked, defeated, and occupied by China through war.
However, the next of the next of the next of U.S. President can be a Chinese American, in my feeling.
Anyway, Chinese statistics cannot be trusted, and Chinese elites do not mind poor Americans but expect them to come to respect the Chinese Communist Party. Even American labor unions might receive secret support from the Chinese Communist Party in return to helping Chinese Americans make their careers in the American politics.
But, a majority of Americans will still continue to live as a kind of Christians Chinese elites cannot brainwash rather than start to follow the Chinese Communist Party and accept Chinese despotic influences on the American Government in future.
Finally, the increase in GDP of China means an increase in the ability of the Chinese Communist Party to carry out any secret operation in America, targeting super-rich Americans and poor Americans.
For example, to your astonishment, in WWII, the U.S. tied up with the Chinese Communist Party to fight the Empire of Japan, though the U.S. was later betrayed by China to face the Korean War, the Cold War, the Vietnam War, and even this War on Terror (China has been a virtual ally of Pakistan).

Japanese Prime Minister Mr. Naoto Kan has appointed the former Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to the new Minister of Foreign Affairs.
It is rare that a politician in his 40's is appointed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
But, New Foreign Minister Mr. Seiji Maehara belongs to the same group in the DPJ as Chief Cabinet Secretary Mr. Yoshito Sengoku, the most influential state minister on P.M. Mr. Kan.
The DPJ, the major ruling party in Japan, consists of two types of lawmakers: socialistic ones and reformists. P.M. Mr. Kan and Chief Cabinet Secretary Mr. Sengoku are of the former and F.M. Mr. Maehara of the latter. So, the new Foreign Minister is not anti-American at all.
The common enemy of these three key figures of the Kan Cabinet is of course Mr. Ichiro Ozawa, the most powerful leader among several leaders of groups within the party.
But, it was found in the recent party election that the more threatening common enemy of these three key figures in the Kan Cabinet is surprisingly Mr. Yukio Hatoyama, the Former Prime Minister of Japan who have frequently flown to China and Russia after his resignation from premiership, though by authority of P.M. Mr. Kan.
