True Meaning of Christ Jesus's Death on the Cross
Christ Jesus became an enemy of Herod Antipas who had previously ordered the death of John the Baptist. So, when He visited Nazareth, He was almost killed by people subject to Herod Antipas. They tried to push Christ Jesus from a cliff, although He could walk away from the dangerous scene.
Luke 4:(https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+4&version=NIV)
16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, 17 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”[f]
20 Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him.21 He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
22 All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” they asked.
23 Jesus said to them, “Surely you will quote this proverb to me: ‘Physician, heal yourself!’ And you will tell me, ‘Do here in your hometown what we have heard that you did in Capernaum.’”
24 “Truly I tell you,” he continued, “no prophet is accepted in his hometown. 25 I assure you that there were many widows in Israel in Elijah’s time, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and there was a severe famine throughout the land. 26 Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon. 27 And there were many in Israel with leprosy[g] in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed—only Naaman the Syrian.”
28 All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this.29 They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff.30 But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way.
But it is unlikely that Herod Antipas gave up the idea to kill Christ Jesus. He must have involved priests in Jerusalem into his plot. So, the Jewish authority in Jerusalem sent spies around and in the band of Christ Jesus.
Mark 12(https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark+12&version=NIV)
13 And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.
14 And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
15 Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.
16 And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.
17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.
18 Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,
19 Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
20 Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
21 And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.
22 And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.
23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
26 And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.
They also found that many people saw miracles performed by Christ Jesus and believed in Him. These priests felt danger in the movement of Christ Jesus, since it was apparent that Christ Jesus was accusing the priests in the Jerusalem temple by saying "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."
Those priests got big money from merchants and shopkeepers in and around the temple making business, selling animals for sacrifice to pilgrims, exchanging money, providing commodities and accommodation for visitors to the temple. They paid some tax to the Roman governor but they also concealed some incomes. And, they felt that Christ Jesus knew it. And, they also took the words of Christ Jesus as He was trying to take over the management of the temple from them. Now, they found that Christ Jesus was so dangerous to them.
In this way, the Pharisees and the Herodians as well as the Sadducees and scribes all came to concoct a conspiracy to kill Christ Jesus.
So, Christ Jesus did not die for sins of the general public at the era and of us who live today. He did not take our sins and die on behalf of us. Christ Jesus died because of evil and greedy minds of elite Judaists and Jewish people in Jerusalem 2000 years ago. However, it was Satan behind these people.
From the beginning, Christ Jesus was sent to this world by God so that Christ Jesus would save people from the rule of Satan who controlled elite people. The major enemy of Christ Jesus was Satan. The Bible is the testimony for the battle between Christ Jesus and Satan. Satan did not give up his plot to kill Christ Jesus, although Satan left Christ Jesus after the failure in the temptation of Christ Jesus in the desert.
The interpretation of the Bible by the Vatican and other Christian churches has been wrong in these 2000 years.
