Before 2012 Presidential Election Speculation



This morning The Asahi Shimbun Newspaper of Japan reported that 79% of the Japanese people are glad to hear Mr. Obama’s victory while 4% are disappointed.

And, those who expect improvement of the relationship between Japan and the United States under the Obama Administration account for 41% against 25% of the all, interviewed by phone for this survey, who do not expect such improvement.

Specifically the outcome of the 2008 Presidential Election is as follows:

The gap is about eight million votes. Or, four million voters have directly influenced the outcome, since Mr. Obama with four million votes less should have been defeated by Mr. McCain with four million votes more.

Yet, who are they that constitute these four million voters? At least they must be poor. They must be found among the working poor if they are pious.

Although roughly 7 in every 10 of the working poor were white workers, black and Hispanic or Latino workers continued to be more than twice as likely as their white counter-parts to be among the working poor.

Of total 124 million voters, we can assume due to the recent recession in the U.S., the working poor account for 8%, meaning 10 million working-poor voters.

Of total 10 million working-poor voters, we can assume due to the recent recession in the U.S., the European-American working poor account for 8%, meaning eight million European American working poor voters.

I suppose half of them can be regarded as those who have voted for Mr. Obama this time though they had voted for Mr. George W. Bush before.

These four million European-American working poor must have decided the case.

However, the total labor force in the U.S. is now estimated to be 145 million or so, those key voters only account for 2.8% or 3%.

Adding 3% more voters to Mr. Obama and subtracting 3% voters from Mr. McCain makes the gap 6%, which reflects the actual outcome of Mr. Obama with 52.6% and Mr. McCain with 46.1%.

Therefore, it is 3% of the total American workers, mostly poor European-American workers, that have made the dream come true for African Americans.

(As the Hispanics labor force is one sixth or one seventh of that of the European-Americans, we can so far focus on the European-American working poor.)

In summary, a drastic change can happen in society if only three percent of its members have decisively changed their views and taken an appropriate action accordingly, even if so driven by an imminent need to get rid of poverty.

Yet, we can check another factor, for example, Rockefellers.

The very Jewish organizations who spread their filthy lies about Obama as an “enemy of Israel,” and now shouting praise over his selection of Rep. Rahm Emanuel as his chief of staff. William Daroff of the United Jewish Communities, which was not that fond of Obama, said “Rep. Emanuel is among the sharpest political tacticians and policy makers that is on the scene in Washington D.C.”

Hopefully, supporters of Israel understand Obama seeks a peace agreement that meets the needs of all parties, not just those of Israel.

It sounds like there is also a wide gap between rich American Judaists and poor American Judaists.

However, what is striking is that 79% of the Japanese people support Mr. Obama and 78% of the American Judaists support Mr. Obama.

Inevitably, if President Mr. Barack Obama should lose support from the Japanese people and the American Judaists, there would be no victory for him in 2012, since President Mr. George W. Bush won in 2004 by maintaining his friendship with then Japanese Prime Minister Mr. Jyunichiro Koizumi.

There are many ways to illustrate the structure of the Internet. One thing sure about it is that it is owned by nobody though it is monitored and maintained by some organizations.

However, just because nobody owns the Internet, it doesn't mean it is not monitored and maintained in different ways. The Internet Society, a non-profit group established in 1992, oversees the formation of the policies and protocols that define how we use and interact with the Internet.

Let’s imagine a huge network of highways.

To get into any highway, you have to pass a toll gate. Between two highways, say, Route 1 and Route 2, there is a crossover gate.

In this architecture, one thing sure is that every car running on a highway can be traced back to the toll gate where it got on a highway and thus the whole network.

However, it would be extremely difficult to identify a route any car has taken from its starting point, namely a garage of a house or an office, to the toll gate, since the car must run through many open and local roads.

Yet, all the toll gates, the whole highways, and crossover gates must be monitored and managed with video cameras that can take a license number of every car for security of the society.

In the case of the Internet, the telecommunications connection from the physical location of a computer to an Internet Service Provider can be regarded as an open and local road in the case of a car.

A car driver can choose and change the root from a garage to a toll gate of a highway every time he gets on a highway.

But, in the case of a computer, especially a server, connected to the Internet, a user cannot so easily change its root from its site, namely physical location, to an Internet Service Provider.

Therefore, technically it is very possible to identify the location of any Internet user.

Yet, the most stringent regulation of the Internet is not this kind of an exhaustive tracing function.

There is no need to disassemble a car to parts and components when passing a toll gate to a highway; it can run on a highway as it is in one piece. But, a file or one unit of data to be sent over the Internet is divided into many parts. And, each part can take a different route to reach a destination computer where whole parts are reassembled to the original file or unit of data.

My idea about the most stringent regulation of the Internet is to introduce super-routers to all the Internet Service Providers, and to have each super-router act like a destination computer so as to reassemble the original file or unit of data being sent from an originating computer of an Internet user and keep a copy of a file or a unit of data when it is necessary to find out a user due to the nature of contents of data he or she is sending or receiving over the Internet.

(Consequently, people will stop using the Internet for criminal purposes or any lawful but sensitive purposes, making the world more safer and peaceful, since it is just like every man's conversation is recorded and kept in the telephone exchange office if encrypted.)

The super-router can also check and confirm validity of source address information, including a domain name and an IP address, by automatic and covert communications with an originating computer. If it finds any intentional modification of source address information, probably to conceal identification of an Internet user, in any portion of data, it can block it.

By way of caution, a router is a device that works like a toll gate or a crossover gate on the network of highways. A router is actually a computer but a special purpose computer.

When this stringent regulation is applied to the Internet, a government can easily identify any Internet user who is using the Internet for any purpose, including blog posting, e-mail sending/receiving, accessing any home page or site, viewing any blog, and just browsing or searching anything.

Internet users from cellular phones are no exceptions.

Now, one of concerns of parties and experts concerned is of course growth of the volume of data being or to be transmitted over the Internet.

Indeed, like global warming or leveraged funds, the volume of data being transmitted is unbelievably increasing in this decade even in Japan.

The Internet data volume on the Japanese commercial domains seems to have grown from 1 giga-bytes to 100 giga-bytes (per certain unit) or 100 times from 1999 to 2008.

We have to address this issue for security of mankind, too.

Yesterday, they reported that Mr. Tetsuya Tsukushi died at the age of 73.

He started to work as a newspaper reporter in 1958.

He started to work as a TV commentator in 1978.

Since then, he has been one of top journalists on TV.

He has been respected by many Japanese senior journalists, such as Mr. Takashi Tachibana who drove many politicians into a corner, Mr. Shuntaro Torigoe who even went out to Iraq to check the underground cell where Saddam Hussein had hidden, and Mr. Soichiro Tahara who is still very active on TV discussion programs.

Forty-five years ago when JFK was assassinated, Mr. Tsukushi was already working as a newspaper reporter in Japan. Accordingly he observed the subsequent assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy as a member of journalism. So, it is understandable that he would not try to pursue promotion in the management organization but stayed outside to be a leading (liberal) journalist, though there must have been many reporters who opted for career success even in those days.

In this context, Mr. Tetsuya Tsukushi was older than the Vietnam War generation; without doubt he was one of the "JFK-live" generation.

That is why he could so well build his career as a reporter and journalist through the Vietnam War era, getting to the colorful TV studio as a star anchorman when the Japanese economy was about to catch up with the American economy in late 1970's.

Mr. Katsuhiko Shirakawa, a former Japanese lawmaker and state minister but presently notable critic, wrote in his blog that he was in Los Angeles when mysterious actress Marilyn Monroe died mysteriously.

Though at the time he was a high-school student in Japan, he got a chance to go and study in America. He lodged with a rich American family whose house was near the one where Marilyn Monroe died.

Mr. Shirakawa’s generation is younger than Mr. Tsukushi’s, but the former state-minister wrote that he has never forgotten the underlying racial barrier he experienced in the U.S. in early 1960’s though thereafter he travelled so many times to America as a national lawmaker of Japan, the second largest economy in the world.

And today Mr. Shirakawa wrote that there is no color on poverty (and thus Mr. Barack Obama won the election as he had expected).

Nonetheless, she is a kind of classic works of the Japanese culture. She speaks exquisite and graceful Japanese, though she had higher education in Hawaii when she was young, though it is unknown if young lady Ms. Sakurai met young boy Mr. Obama then.

In my dream of the last night or early this morning, I saw Japanese Prime Minister Mr. Taro Aso and U.S. President Mr. George W. Bush in addition to some Japanese honest politicians who wanted more of my say on recent situations.

So, I have to go to trouble to extend my view on U.S. politics, since Japan must take more important part in the international community and the coming era of history.



SECTION I: President Mr. George W. Bush

The Clinton Administration really disappointed people on its last days, since President Mr. Clinton looked less Christian than is expected for any U.S. President.

Then, his designated successor Vice-President Mr. Al Gore looked too intellectual and knowledgeable to behave and look humble in the 2000 Presidential Election.

So, American voters hesitated to fully support the Democratic Presidential candidate Mr. Al Gore in 2000, since the Republican candidate Mr. George W. Bush looked humble as he less boasted about his intellectual faculties than his rival.

American voters chose a President looking and behaving more Christian if not fully wielding merits he had acquired through higher education.

Indeed when an intellectually arrogant candidate, if not Mr. Gore, with a strong sense of being one of the American elite had been defeated by a self-declared regenerated Christian, exemplified by Mr. Bush, with compassion for students incapable of keeping up with classroom studies, not only Americans but also people in the world would have naturally thought that change came to America in 2000, as it actually happened.

Mr. Al Gore seemed to have many highly-educated friends with higher skills of manipulating big money relying on modern technology.

If Mr. Al Gore had won the 2000 Presidential Election, Wall Street must have more actively applied modern technology and systems to their (false) wealth creation which must have turned out to be more disastrous by 2008. As the Clinton Administration took such incentive measures for the American IT sector, the assumed Gore Administration must have driven the boom on Wall Street in the same manner.

However, President Mr. George W. Bush for himself did not especially encourage such exhaustive application of modern technology to Wall Street business, though he did not discourage any such movement.

We may be allowed to think that as Mr. George W. Bush did not do anything proactively to carry forward all-out application of modern hi-tech technology to the American financial sector, the subprime loan-triggered U.S. financial crisis was confined within a range of damages of one or two trillion dollars so far.

I mean that with other President of the Mr. Gore type the additional financial disasters might have been brought about in other fields than housing loan business by 2008. Hi-tech financial systems the Gore-type elite love must have applied to every aspect of economic life of American citizens, including middle-class citizens who do not need to apply for subprime loan schemes.

Omission or nonfeasance of President Mr. George W. Bush in terms of promotion of hi-tech systems on Wall Street when nothing looked wrong there ironically looks like having contributed to somehow containing the financial crisis and preventing occurrence of another Great Depression.



SECTION II: Review of the 2008 Presidential Election

As the Japanese media are reporting the outcome of the election in prime time or on their front page, some Japanese critics and pundits are really excited by the Obama boom coming true. But others have pointed at the margin of mere 6% between the winner Mr. Obama and the loser Mr. McCain as a sign for deeply rooted conservatism in the U.S. society.

The 2008 presidential election was historic in so many ways. Just consider the record-breaking numbers:

Some 135 million votes were cast for president, the most ever in American history.

Sixty-four percent of eligible voters participated, the highest national turnout since 1908.

In Minnesota, voter turnout was close to 80 percent, probably the highest in the nation.

But there’s something special about this election that goes well beyond, and much deeper, than what numbers alone can convey. The energy and idealism generated by Barack Obama’s candidacy, across every region and nearly every demographic group, is something we simply have not seen for many years.

But, the fact the "Whites" who voted for Mr. Barack Obama accounted for 43% tells everything. Indeed, it must be 6% of poor European Americans who opted for the Democratic Party to protect their lives and secure their survival in the ever heartless American material society that has decided the outcome.

Some female announcers and news casters even tried to look "black."

So, I have to say that the God Lord seems to have forgiven King Solomon, since even Jesus Christ positively referred to the son of David in addition to the Queen of Sheba.

SECTION I: African Americans vs. Enemies of America

Now around 1:00 p.m. in Tokyo, and the U.S. military radio and the NHK satellite TV channel are broadcasting live coverage of the 2008 U.S. Presidential Election.

One thing sure in the near future is that enemies of America all over the world would deliver criticism not to Mr. George W. Bush but to Mr. Barack Obama.

Arabs, Asians, Latin Americans, and Africans fighting against the U.S. in these decades or years will point their spear at an African American Mr. Barack Obama but not a European American Mr. George W. Bush.

Or will they soften their tactics and strategies against the U.S. only because the U.S. President is now African American?

Oversight of the bailout cannot wait that long, so the Office of Financial Stability will need to hire people from the private sector ready to take on huge responsibilities from day one…

One of the problems about the job is that Federal jobs is the pay limits. Here is an excerpt that describes the pay limits
“Federal pay constraints pose another obstacle. The maximum salary for an FDIC bank examiner was $160,910, according to a 2007 analysis by the Government Accountability Office. The highest pay for an SEC lawyer was $126,987. The pay cap for those in the senior executive service is $191,300. Of course, we need bureaucrats. But, they must not be organization-oriented or payoff-oriented, especially in this time of the critical global financial crisis.

Lastly, check how many government employees each major country has.



To our astonishment, Japan has lees public employees than in other major countries in terms of the number per 1000 citizens.

I don’t know what conclusion you may get from the above table, but the U.S. looks like controlled by a comparatively small number of employees of the Federal Government in Washington D.C. though it places a great deal of weight on the state, regional, and local level.

It is yet hard to say anything about the favorable state and the desirable relationship between the government and financial institutes like those on Wall Street

So far, I will just call your attention to bureaucrats who are regarded as hidden but focal parties involved in, or responsible for, this global financial crisis.

Today, Monday November 3, is a public holiday in Japan, since it is the Culture Day.

People in Japan, too, are waiting for the first business day, tomorrow Tuesday, of this week, since the U.S. Presidential Election voting will begin and the Tokyo Stock Exchange will open after the extreme volatility of the last week.

Last evening I went out to the field nearby to happen to see Mt. Fuji as you see in the above picture corner.

It was late since I could not deliver a postcard earlier, though I have to still prepare some for some business. That is why Mt. Fuji looked so dim 100 kilometers far.

Yet, I saw some signs in the sky. You might be able to catch on them.

From a historical point of view, without support from European-American women for the emancipation of slaves before and during the Civil War, African Americans cannot enjoy the current state of freedom.

Therefore, the final result of 2008 Presidential Election would be highly influenced by whether a majority of European-American women would or would not think that it is their moral duty to vote for any Democratic Presidential candidate, namely Mr. Barack Obama in this case of 2008.

It is truly disappointing to see that a first rate journalist associated with The New York Times still cannot understand the significant difference between Japan and China without mentioning Japan’s great contribution to the U.S. economy in these decades.

No, we don’t need a president defending greed on Wall Street, but we do need one who can explain that we are all in the same boat, that a leak at one end can sink everyone and that while we must regulate, we don’t want to kill risk-taking and the rewards that go with that — which are essential to growing our economy.

Second, we need a president who can energize, inspire and hold the country together during what will be a very stressful recovery. We have to climb out of this financial crisis at a time when the baby boomers are about to retire and going to need their Social Security and eventually Medicare. We are all going to be paying the government more and getting less until we grow out of this hole.

Third, we need a president who can rally the world to our side. We cannot get out of this crisis unless China starts consuming more and unless Europe keeps lowering interest rates. Everyone is interconnected, and everyone is still looking to America to lead.

Even top journalists in New York cannot understand that the key point is not the American economic situation but the fact that the whole world is being badly damaged financially by greed and crimes so common on Wall Street.

American voters must vote for a candidate who does not damage the world. American domestic issues are a secondary matter, since American economy cannot stand alone in immaculate condition if the world economy gets derailed by selfish and irresponsible quest of the American Dream by American citizens.

On the other hand, some Japanese are worried by the expected policies and measures President Mr. Barack Obama would take in his pursuit of the American national interests.

It is because Americans wrongly think that China will become a democratic nation along with development of its economy and increase in its national wealth, they state.

But, China has no intention to adopt democracy. Chinese communist-party leaders stealthily and essentially regard the U.S. as an ultimate enemy. China sends hundreds of spies and agents to Washington D.C. and New York to win over influential American politicians, high-ranking officials, first-rate critics, economists, and researchers, and businessmen by bribery, they argue.

China has already reinforced a tie-up with Russia, waiting for the debacle of value of the dollar, the state bankruptcy of the U.S., and inevitable global great depression, they conclude.

But, Americans, especially the Democratic elite, still believe that China is a good friend of America’s, while Chinese people have no freedom in political activities and social and cultural initiatives except quasi-free market transaction and participation.

What is worse, Chinese agents in Washington D.C. and New York are actively engaged in disseminating an anti-Japan view in terms of history and culture, since Japan is the only nation that can fatally stand against China and help the U.S. avoid complicated and malicious traps China has been installing around the U.S., they emphasize.

But, it will be Japan that will have to go to trouble to rescue the world (with its national power appraised as No. 2 in the world) from possible disasters President Mr. Barack Obama would cause on No. 1 America with relation to China, since they are highly anticipated to happen on the analogy of the Clinton Administration.

That is why some Japanese pundits and critics think that "fools vote for Obama" while China and Russia are waiting for the coming of their Age as the Two Superpowers that will supersede the U.S. while the American Democratic elite blindly trust their Chinese and Russian friends.

As for me, I don’t think that it is fools that vote for Mr. Barack Obama.

It is so because Mr. Barack Obama looks like being overwhelmingly supported by poor African Americans and pious European-American women.

When I put “Kind Japanese” in the keyword field of a certain English search engine of the Internet, it returned 7,290 results.

When I put “Kind American(s)” in Japanese in the keyword field of a certain Japanese search engine of the Internet, it returned 622 results.

One of such Japanese sites is a blog presented by a Japanese young woman.

She studied in the U.S. till July 2007.

She wrote in March 2007 that she met an American professor who was doing research on thoughts and ideologies of scientists having been involved in the Manhattan Project, when she happened to stay in a guest house of a college in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania,

The professor and his wife shared an opinion that those scientists must have felt the pangs of conscience (as they had helped kill hundreds of thousands of innocent Japanese civilians at the end of World War II).

She dared say to them that it must have been an act of racial discrimination that America had used the atomic bombs to the Empire of Japan but not to Nazi Germany, which the liberal couple agreed to.

According to her blog posting, though she felt uncomfortable expressing such a grave opinion of her own to the couple who were kind to her like some other Americans, she allowed herself to add that the atomic bomb attack on Japan had been a crime against humanity.

Then, the American couple nodded.

She wrote that it was always a liberal, highly-educated, and intelligent specialist or expert that took an interest in a foreigner like her from a country or a region which traditionally does not belong to the European Civilization.

Those liberal Americans are grouped into two types.

Liberal Americans who belong to the first group think that the religious right were skillfully mobilized by the Bush Administration to support the Iraqi War. Accordingly they believed (when she met them in 2007) that Mr. Barack Obama would win the Presidential Election in 2008.

Those of the second group think that America is essentially a conservative country with full of people who hate intellectual persons. These liberal Americans are overwhelmed by the persistent mood of the conservatism deeply rooted in the American history.

If the U.S. loses respect from all over the world due to this financial crisis and the underlying foreclosure phenomena, what is its status of being the sole superpower on the earth?

Citizens of the Roman Empire never felt a duty to make other tribes and kingdoms prosper along with growth of the Empire.

Yet citizens of the United States must feel a duty to make other countries and regions prosper along with growth of the U.S.

Citizens of the Roman Empire never felt a duty to make peoples of other tribes and kingdoms feel proud of themselves as equal members of mankind.

Yet citizens of the United States must feel a duty to make peoples of other nations and kingdoms feel proud of themselves as equal members of mankind.

As the citizens of the Roman Empire never felt such duties, the Empire collapsed in the due course of history.

If the citizens of the U.S. never feel such duties, the U.S. would collapse in the due course of history.

Just think about it. Why have American citizens been able to enjoy such a huge amount of credit made available to them at lower costs and rates?

It is because Japan has provided big funds to the U.S. financial sector and purchased so many U.S. Treasury bonds in these decades, though China has followed suit in these years.

Without showing any gratitude to global financial supporters, American citizens have been enjoying rich lives leveraging lucrative credit systems which have been supported by huge inflow of money from Japan, oil-producing Islamic countries, European investors, and so on.

As American citizens are not grateful to Japan and other global financial supporters while living in such big houses, we cannot expect them to express their thanks to the God.

The American Dream has been bolstered not by hard working of American people but by extremely large infusion of money from overseas.

Without being aware of this reality, if American voters elect Mr. Barack Obama as their President, potential and underlying problems will not be solved.

In other word, only when American citizens start to express their appreciation to Japan and other global investors, the crisis in the U.S. economy and other problems in the U.S. society will be solved.

Electing an African American as U.S. President alone may be a too easy method of addressing such issues.

The key is respect for God, respect for Japan, and respect for other global financial backers.

Without such respect, Americans look like ancient Romans, since they never respected peoples living in the north of the Alps as well as Israelites.

Prime Minister Mr. Taro Aso yesterday announced that he would urgently take exhaustive measures to cope with the current financial crisis triggered on Wall Street.

Prime Minister Mr. Aso also said that he would not hold a general election for the time being.

Indeed, if another Great Depression should be induced by this financial crisis, a future textbook of history would read: "American people never ceased their election fever while the destruction was coming nearer in the early 21st century."

It might be better for President Mr. George W. Bush to exercise his power so as to postpone the Presidential Election Day for, say, 100 days, since people are getting too passionate with possible President Mr. Barack Obama just like Napoleon Bonaparte had been frantically welcomed before his 100-day reign in France of the 19th century.

More than the American people, the Japanese people are concerned with realization of an African American President of the United States of America.

Japanese businessmen usually meet European Americans in their negotiations or cooperation at a higher level of corporate activities.

Japanese elite engaged in the academic field, the media, or any other cultural activities usually meet European Americans in their negotiations or cooperation at a higher level of bilateral activities.

As 65% or so of the U.S. populations is occupied by European Americans, it is very natural.

On the other hand, African Americans only account for 12% of the U.S. population.

Among them, those whose identification as being an African Americans is not linked with the historic fact of slavery and the Civil War must be a minority even among contemporary African Americans.

Then, why do American voters have to choose such a candidate who is categorized into such an exceptional group of the people?

Has the American society come to be truly a colorblind society?

Has the feeling of superiority of European Americans over African Americans vanished away in the American society?

Do European Americans really feel comfortable being surrounded by African Americans or being managed by African Americans?

Most of the Japanese people are really intrigued by the emergence of Mr. Barack Obama as the next U.S. President.

If the American society is not yet fully colorblind, the feeling of superiority of European Americans over African Americans has not yet vanished away, European Americans do not really feel comfortable being surrounded by African Americans or being managed by African Americans, but American voters still like to vote for Mr. Barack Obama, what does it mean?

No matter who a Democratic candidate is in terms of the racial background, the situations in the U.S. must force American voters to choose a Democratic President.

No matter what experiences a Democratic candidate has in terms of political and administrative background, the situations in the U.S. must force American voters to choose a Democratic President.

Then, the situations in the U.S. must be far graver than the Japanese people think and imagine.

Those situations are in fact clearly indicated by the exposed wrongdoings on Wall Street.

Nonetheless, there are some issues casting shadows to the emergence of the first African American President of the United States of America.

(i) Too much reliance of Mr. Obama’s campaign on the Internet and information technologies which often leverage social phenomena abnormally.

(ii) Less concern about reactions various players in the world political and economic communities will produce to see the very different type of the new U.S. President.

(iii) Too much fundamental challenges are left without exhaustive discussions between Republicans and Democrats, since the personality difference between the two candidates is so stark.

[(iv) There is still one thing common between President Mr. Bush and Mr. Obama, which is higher academic background, while Jesus Christ loves more those without much schooling.]

Anyway, the inauguration of the first African American President must owe its realization to the support from poor European Americans the number of which must be 100 million including children and elders.

This spring a great earthquake hit southern China, taking 80,000 or so lives.

Then, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games was held amid desperate protests of Tibetans.

(There were some signs of ill presage, since two Japanese, former Olympic-gold-medalists in the female marathons could not join the race in Beijing due to bad physical conditions they had suffered in screening races as well as in the preparation training.

Anyway, their absence in the Beijing Olympics race could be regarded as tendering Japan's condolences to Chinese victims and their families of the Great Sichuan Earthquake.)

At the end of the summer, Mr. John McCain’s campaign grew in popularity along with his nomination of a female governor for the vice-presidency.

But, in September, Lehman Brothers went bankrupt, followed by a drastic change in business and management on Wall Street.

Consequently, Mr. Barack Obama’s campaign regained momentum.

Everybody is now anticipating that Mr. Obama will be elected as U.S. President while the global stock markets have fallen into the doldrums where China cannot act as a savior, since it is yen that is appreciated higher than any other currencies, including the U.S. dollar.

In summary, the God looks like having given strong warnings against China, Wall Street and the global money market, and the U.S. Presidential Election.

After all, China would behave reasonably, Wall Street would behave reasonably, and the next U.S. President would behave reasonably.

Then, the year 2009 will not be so bad.

Accordingly, I may further study the glory of the God to be manifested in the near future, no matter what manner Jesus Christ might perform His advent in.

Money, Technology, and Faith



Last night or early this morning I had a dream, though no French girls were dancing there.

I was talking to Ms. Condoleezza Rice who took her seat in a motor coach. I said something about a crisis or such a situation while she looked cool and smart.

Anyway the era of Mr. Colin Powell and Ms. Condoleezza Rice is about to pass.

Everybody might forget it immediately after Mr. Barack Obama is sworn in.

But there seems to exist one thing common among them: less habitually making fun of others in comparison with European Americans of the same class.

Or, in other word, they look more Christian in comparison with European Americans in the same social class.

Let’s see what an American Christian is thinking about the current financial crisis:

The Last Days

There's a lot of talk about the present financial / liquidity crisis fulfilling Bible prophecy and heralding the soon return of the Lord Jesus Christ. But searching website after website, I couldn't find anyone quoting any actual Bible prophecies that indicate any kind of financial crisis before the Lord's return. Of course the Lord Jesus predicted that one sign of His return would be that people would "hear" all sorts of things that will make their "hearts fail them for fear in apprehension of those things which are coming on the earth" (Lk. 21:9,26). Now that we do see fulfilled, thanks to the unprecedented media explosion and updates on things like global warming, financial problems etc. being beamed onto our screens 24/7. If one only heard the news once a week or even once a month, our hearts would 'fail us' far less. But those days are gone; for even if I don't look at the media, someone else does and in our global village, their reaction ends up affecting me.

So I turned to the Bible, to see whether the financial crisis is predicted; and what the Bible says about wealth in the last days. I found the very opposite to what's being peddled around by the doomsday boys and prophecy hacks. Passage after Bible passage makes it clear that there'll be a time of unprecedented wealth and prosperity just before the Lord's return. I may stand with my back to the world about this, but so what. If that's what Scripture says, let's hear it out and give God's words their true weight:

- Mt. 24:37: "As the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the son of man be". And as Jesus points out, the period before the flood was characterized by prosperity and materialism. There was a sharp increase in population, in arts and technology (Gen. 4:21,22) and urbanization (Gen. 4:17). Job 22:15-18 comments on the people living just before the flood that they cast off all commitment to God and yet God "filled their houses with good things" -exactly the scene today. Note how Jesus observes that Noah's world were totally self-obsessed with their hedonism right up "until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all" (Lk. 17:27). The picture is of the Lord's coming abruptly interrupting a pleasure-drunk world.

- The situation in Sodom just before its overthrow was likewise quoted by the Lord as a foretaste of how things would be before His return. "They (as well as our present world) did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded" (Lk.17:28). Their materialism had the same abrupt interruption as in Noah's time- "But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the son of man is revealed" (Lk. 17:29,30). The suggestion seems to be that the people of Sodom were mindlessly doing their thing right up to the point of Divine intervention. Their obsession with daily activities without an awareness of God was as bad as their other sins; a point we would do well to be aware of. However, their eating and drinking must have been to gross excess- Ez.16:49 defines " the iniquity of Sodom" as being " fullness of bread" among other things. "They bought, they sold" suggests that Sodom was a major trading centre, rapidly increasing in wealth; " they planted, they builded" (Lk.17:28) implies a real boom town. Such success resulted in the people being proud, arrogant and of course sexually perverted (Ez.16:49,50). It is these aspects of Sodom which are so precisely matched by our self-centred, money mad world.

- The descriptions of 'Babylon' in Revelation 18 are replete with reference to Sodom (1). This latter day world system is likewise characterized by fantastic wealth and opulence. Rev. 18:11-19 prophesies a heartfelt lament from the unbelievers at how such great prosperity and industry had been brought to nothing in a moment by Christ's return. Some Bible prophecies (e.g. Ez. 38:12) speak of how the wealth of the latter day world will be given over to God's people at Christ's return- the wealth is there in the world at the time of His coming!

- James 5:3 warns the last generation of believers against the absurdity of heaping together treasure in "the last days". If Christ is about to return, why give your life to getting rich just before He comes? The suggestion seems to be that there will be the opportunity for believers to amass wealth immediately prior to the Lord's return.

- Laodicea, the last church addressed by the Lord Jesus in His letters, has been seen as symbolic of the latter day church. And they were characterized by being "rich and increased with goods" (Rev. 3:17). "Increased" suggests an increase in wealth for them in the last days.

- There are at least four predictions that in the final "day of the Lord", ultimately revealed when Christ returns, people will finally realize that their wealth has not been able to save them (Is. 2:20; 31:7; Ez. 7:19; Zeph. 1:18). They are pictured as throwing their silver and gold to the animals in the face of the awesome revelation of God's glory upon this earth. They obviously have that wealth prior to His coming to be able to do that with….

As you can read the banner of this EEE Reporter blog, since I started this blog in the spring of 2005, I have been giving a warning against the abnormal pursuit of wealth observed in the American society. It is because such a biased quest of wealth really looks like a phenomenon which was predicted to happen in the end of a certain period of history.

The last thing we have to face in a destined fiasco of this financial frenzy must be a highly religious matter.

For some believers, Jesus Christ in person might come again on this earth to save them.

For some pious, poor people, Jesus Christ might just send His Angel in a human figure.

For some ordinary people, Jesus Christ might just perform a miracle from Heaven above.

For villains, oh, I cannot tell and hope anything in this context.

But, look back to the last Global Great Depression which started in 1929, and then you would see that Christianity fairly revived then so as to save many poor Americans spiritually. It also led to establishment of various social and administrative systems planned to help and save poor citizens financially and economically.

Domestically, the socialist fundamentals set during the era after the Great Depression survived until the era of Reaganomics in 1980’s.

In other word, the social and administrative reformation introduced after the Great Depression before WWII lasted for 50 years until the advent of computer-based multiplication of wealth in the money market in 1980’s.

Since then, computers and the telecommunications technology have so developed as we see today along with inventions of Intel CPUs and Microsoft OS.

However, today, development of computers and the telecommunications technology seems to reach a ceiling.

Today’s technologies still cannot allow a computer to offer users a definitive answer to such a question as to what the most profitable money trading is.

Indeed, a financial crisis must come before technology develops to the extent to being able to offer a definitive answer to such a question as to what the most profitable money trading is.

Otherwise, every computer user will try to exploit the power of new computer technologies in the 21st century so as to know definitely what the most profitable money trading is.

Before mankind is equipped with such a super technology, Jesus Christ must interfere with the human world.

It is because such a super technology will extremely endanger the human society, allowing for super fast transactions of trillions of dollars all over the world through simple operations by every Internet user.

We may find some descriptions about such a technology in the Bible.

Now, you know it is the money market that counts.

But, the money market is sustained by the advanced technology.

Yet, faith and love must control development of the technology.

When love and faith get weaker, technology can be abused for the sinful money market, resulting in an uncontrollable financial crisis eventually.

Therefore, a Religious Revolution must come before a further technological revolution in the 21st century, which I must tell some key figures, such as the Secretary of State, and those who can interview them.



(I think the world can quench this hot financial crisis eventually. However, there is something more difficult to quench.

Benedict says "the only solid reality is the word of God."

Christians should think seriously about this economic crisis and ponder what it would mean to come to a Christian understanding of what it means to be participants in this economy. As Adam Smith recognized, the economy is a moral reality. Human beings actualize their moral selves in making economic choices and through participation in the economic system — and we are all participants.

Indeed, one of the defining differences between the current crisis and the crisis of the 1920s and 1930s is that the vast majority of Americans are now, in effect, investors. Our retirement accounts are, by and large, mingled with the investments of the titans of industry. Through their pension funds, school teachers are investors right alongside Warren Buffet. This was not the case in the run-up to the Great Depression. We all want and need the stock market to do well, and the outcome of any market crisis effects both Bill Gates and the worker in the local medical clinic…

The Bible honors investment and thrift, and Christians must be wary of the impulse for short-term gains and pressure for instant profit. Over the long-haul, the entire economy must prosper if the vast majority are to do well and realize a responsible gain….

Under the expression of Christ-recommended investment, American Christians are doing the opposite thing to what Jesus Christ recommended.

Jesus’ investment means the investment for others so as to make others happy.

American Christians’ investment is intended to make themselves happy, which is anti-Christian.

In this context, it is truly the end of justice in the Vatican and the Christian Nation the United States of America.

If the Pope loses ability to put himself in the same status as a poor man, he cannot be qualified as a follower of Jesus Christ anymore.

If American Christians still think about only themselves, neglecting poor people in the world who are being badly affected by this Wall Street debacle, they are no more Christians at all, since even followers of the Devil would use terms in the Bible following the interpretation extended by the Devil.

In summary, the Pope should become one of poor men; American Christians should worry about poor people in the world but not themselves.

Then, glory of the God will be manifested.

It is said that investors are selling securities and bonds contaminated by, or linked with subprime loans, to secure dollars at hand.

And then, it is said that they are selling dollars to get and keep yen, since Japan is the least contaminated by, and linked with, devils, fiends and goblins on Wall Street.

However, if Americans and Europeans cannot be free from conventional views and thoughts of Christianity used in justification of their financial activities for their own profits, they would not be truly saved by Japan without mentioning the God.

On the other hand, if Japanese cannot realize the defect in religious paradigms of the Vatican and American Christianity, they would not be able to save Europe and America (and China has never recognized a concept of saving the world).

That is why I am telling you that those who have belonged to the Vatican or Christian communities in America and Europe should listen to EEE Reporter.

It is so, since Japanese in any political parties cannot ultimately enjoy a status more than the one of being a blessed outsider from European/American Christianity.
