"we have not followed cunningly devised fables"

Oh What a Week and Future!

Last December or so, I heard a voice of some spirit saying that it would be around January 20 or so (or the third week of January).

I did not see what would happen around January 20 or so, but a great earthquake has already happened in Haiti taking tens of thousands of lives, and a legal conflict between the ruling party of Japan and public prosecutors has been already intensified along with arrests of present and ex-secretaries (including one current Diet member) of the Secretary-General of the key ruling party in Japan.

However something more alarming to the world and Japan might happen in the next week.

Nonetheless, as these incidents have strengthened our faith, whatever will be to reveal the glory of the God here and there.

SECTION I: Hatoyma-Ozawa Leadership in Japan

Prime Minister Mr. Yukio Hatoyama about a month ago paid to a tax office $6 million as delinquent tax payments for his receiving the gift before death from his very wealthy living mother, thus narrowly avoiding tax-evasion charges.

Secretary-General of the ruling Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) Mr. Ichiro Ozawa this week rejected a request from the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor Office for hearing in person about his $4 million questionable political fund reporting.

Mr. Hatoyama of DPJ however looks better than any old LDP politicians and Mr. Ozawa of DPJ looks smarter than any old LDP politicians, though most of Japan's prime ministers in these 50 years were from the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) which has been very friendly to American Republicans.

Yet, international judgement on both the two Japanese leaders might be not so sympathetic:
----------
The shogun and the emperor
Dec 17th 2009 | TOKYO
From The Economist print edition

To the fury of nationalists, the emperor becomes a pawn in a geopolitical game

WHO rules Japan, the emperor or the shogun? That question vexed America when it first sought to trade with Japan in the 1850s. Today, China has no doubts. The answer is the "shadow shogun", Ichiro Ozawa, a master manipulator who secured an historic victory for the Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) in August elections.

In the past week Mr Ozawa has hogged the limelight on two occasions to convince China—and remind Japan—who is the boss. On December 10th he led what looked like a modern-day version of a medieval tribute visit, flying 645 people, including 143 DPJ members of parliament, to Beijing. They filled five aeroplanes. His meeting with the president, Hu Jintao, made the top of the nightly news in China, an achievement in a country where many people still loathe the Japanese.

A day later, Japanese nationalists were outraged to learn that their emperor, Akihito, had been forced, apparently under indirect pressure from Mr Ozawa, to grant an exceptional audience to Xi Jinping, China’s vice president. Normally, protocol requires 30 days’ notice before a meeting with the ailing 75-year-old emperor. On this occasion it was offered with only a few days’ warning. Flag-waving protesters denounced what they saw as Mr Ozawa’s “treacherous” misuse of the emperor and railed against the DPJ’s overtures to China.

Will Japan Become A Chinese Colony?
Gordon G. Chang, 09.04.09, 12:01 AM EDT
Perhaps if the prime minister-elect has his way.

On Sunday, the Democratic Party of Japan swept the ruling Liberal Democratic Party from power, capturing 308 out of the 480 seats in the lower house of the Diet. Its allies will have 32 more. The LDP and its camp will number a mere 140.

At first glance, this lopsided lineup means that Yukio Hatoyama, who becomes prime minister Sept. 16, will be able to do what he wants. And what he wants to do is reverse the policies of his predecessors. So look for him to take a step back from what he and others have derided as "market fundamentalism." Hatoyama seemed, in a now-famous opinion piece on the New York Times Web site, to deride this concept both as belonging to the era of former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi--and as American in origin. "
...
Hatoyama campaigned against American-inspired globalization, however. This means, as a practical matter, that his government will push an anti-reform--and even an anti-capitalist--agenda as it tries to cope with the global downturn.

Hatoyama's protectionist tendencies are just a part of a broader trend against liberalization in Asia. East Asian nations, led by big brother China, are putting into place currency barriers and other restraints on trade.

http://www.forbes.com/2009/09/03/japan-china-yukio-hatoyama-opinions-columnists-gordon-chang.html
----------

The approval rating for the Hatoyama Cabinet is around 45% (20% is a critical level in Japan); and the support rate for the ruling DPJ is twice higher than the one for the opposition LDP.

So, the regime change again is not unlikely, since it needs a snap election. But, the leadership of the DPJ might change by this summer when the Upper House election is scheduled by law.

And, more importantly, this leadership problem seems to be the only problem for the DPJ.

There are many or some relatively young and hopeful politicians in the DPJ as well as in the LDP.

SECTION II: HISTORY OF STATE BANKRUPTCY

Far before Jesus Christ was born or more than a century before Alexander the Great was born, Athenes experienced state bankruptcy.

---------
The First recorded State Bankruptcy: The Athenian Democracy around 414 BC

The years from c. 462 BC to 431 BC (from the establishment of a radical democracy to the outbreak of the Peloponnesian war) were the best years for Athens. Abroad, the Delian League that she had made with the Ionian Greeks against the common foe, Persia, became a mighty alliance under Athenian leadership. The prosperity and democracy of Athens led to an ambitious building program and the Parthenon on the Acropolis (the new museum just opened) is just one of the many splendid legacies. The success of the model also paved the way for the downfall however. Economic and cultural success and democracy not only encouraged foreign enemies and internal opposition, but also paved the way for financial mismanagement...

The members of the League sent too much money to Athens and Athens started to issue too many coins to finance the ongoing war with Sparta. This led to an unprecedented inflation and the bankruptcy and defeat was only a matter of time (404 BC). Counterfeiting of coins with the owl by formal allies, such as Corinth, also accelerated the process of decline... (R. Barrow, Athenian Democracy (London 1999).

http://theeuropeanspectator.com/archive/news/the-first-recorded-state-bankruptcy-the-athenian-democracy-around-414-bc/#D_Text
---------

It is said the probability that Japan suffers state bankruptcy within 100 years is 99.91%.

It is thought so, since an interest rate and an economic growth rate are not expected to turn favorably for the Japanese Government.

However, this sort of study and analysis lacks the scale effect on economy, as I suggested before.

Moreover, Japan is not at war at all and will not be due to its pacifist Constitution. Further, Japan's decades-long total alliance with America has never led to inflation except the oil crisis in 1970's. Japan's virtual economic alliance with China, India, and Brazil to be anticipated now will never result in inflation.

All that the Japanese Government has to do is to ask its people to behave rationally and reasonably with its $15 trillion assets. Based on these people's assets, the Government can even found a new national bank supported by new yen bills worth $1.5 trillion the Government, instead of the Bank of Japan, will issue. The new national bank should buy up some of the outstanding government bonds, total $7 trillion, from financial institutions. This will not devalue the yen internationally as long as Japan has a leading competitive edge in the global market. As this scheme does not decrease the figure of the $15 trillion assets, it can be repeated if necessary.

When the national bank absorbs Government's liability or bonds enough, the Government may have it vanish away with its balance sheet.

As you know, when dinosaurs were dominant on the earth, there were no Himalayan mountains, since the Indian subcontinent was yet to touch the Asian Continent.

Indeed, when all the Himalayan mountains crumble into a desert or the sea bed, no human beings might be on the earth but new types of dinosaurs might be dominant 150 million years later.

However, our solar system might not finish another rotation around the center of the Milky Way or our galaxy, since it takes 225 million years for one round.

Anyway no one can live long to enter another lap on the galaxy; everyone dies so soon, Amen!

"their mind and conscience is defiled"

(Around the Tokyo Station)

What is a Lesson?

Once a Japanese tourist hired a guide in Haiti. But, when the time came for him to leave Haiti, he found that the guide could not read and write though the Haitian could speak English well in addition to French, the local language, and maybe Spanish.

Once the Japanese Government sent an envoy to Haiti for a presidential inauguration ceremony. Though it was a minister-class politician who was dispatched to Haiti, it was a one-man envoy representing Japan. Yet, Japan did not neglect Haiti where only a few Japanese tourists visited per year in those days, according to the Japanese embassy in Port-au-Prince.

Once I heard a news report that the U.S. sent troops to Haiti to secure American national interest. I felt very strange at that time and wondered why the super-power America could not find any other means to secure American interest. And I wondered who in Haiti would fight against the super-power America using weapons. "America might be losing wisdom," maybe I had to think so, since afterwards CIA and FBI failed to prevent the 9/11 Terror.

SECTION I: WHO MADE HAITI POOR?

It is mostly French who requested big compensation money in exchange of admitting independence of Haiti in 1804 that made Haiti so poor.

French pirates had eventually occupied the west part of the Hispaniola island through a long struggle with Spanish that had lasted for a century. Accordingly the French Government made Haiti its territory in 1697.

Hence Haiti grew to be the richest colony of France providing so much wealth for its colonial master France.

There were 30,000 Europeans in Haiti when African slaves got into the war of independence due to Napoleon's breach of promise for freeing them. In this process, two thirds of Europeans in Haiti were killed and executed, and the rest were driven out of the island. (http://www.geocities.co.jp/SilkRoad-Lake/2917/zatsu/bundan#02)

Now we know who must save Haiti: European capitalists.

(Note: There is no colonial master for Japan, since Japan has never been colonized by any European countries. Rather, the Empire of Japan drove Western powers out of South East Asia during WWII.)

SECTION II: A, B, C, Etc.

If you have only one element of information "A," there are two cases that you have to deal with:
Naught and "A"

If you have two elements of information "A" and "B," there are five cases that you have to deal with:
Naught, "A," "B," "AB," and "BA"

If you have three elements of information "A," "B," and "C," there are 16 cases that you have to deal with:
Naught, "A," "B," "C," "AB," "BA," "BC," "CB," "CA," "AC," "ABC," "ACB," "BAC," "BCA,"CAB," and "CBA"

In 1960's, only big businesses used large-sized computers.
In 1970's, many offices and factories started to use various sizes of computers.
In 1980's, even individuals started to use PCs.
In 1990's, the Internet was welcomed.
In 2000's, mobile phones with various Internet functions were welcomed.

That is why any economic theories must be superseded by other more effective theories as the scale of economy of a nation or the world has made a quantum jump.

An increase of elements needs adoption of a new theory to handle them even in an old sphere.

The role of the central bank should be changed.
The rule on interest should be changed.
Taxation and public fiance should be also changed.
Even, significance of the primary balance should be changed.

It is so, since their paradigm is in the era of the element "A" alone, while there are "A to Z" elements in the global market nowadays.

And, once there was only one non-European/American economic power: Japan. But, today you can see China, Brazil, India, Korea, and so on...

*** *** *** ***

If you ("A": Adam or his offspring) are alone, you can think about the God and yourself taking 50% (1/2) of your time for each.

If you have your bride ("B"), you can think about the God taking 20% (1/5) of your time.

If you have your wife and your child ("C"), you can think about the God taking only 6.25% (1/16) of your time, as proven above.

(This is called EEE-Rule on A, B, and C, as I have so named here.)

That is why Jesus Christ said to follow Him leaving everything and everyone behind, since the matter is whether you are going to see the God or not.

So, how blessed you are if you have now no wife, no children, and nothing for any reasons as a matter of fact! Think about the God even in the middle of an earthquake!

Tit 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

Tit 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

"as a flame of fire"

Searching for Truth

This is the 1313th posting to this blog site.

In 1313, the Little Ice Age was about to come, which subsequently continued from the middle of the 14th century to the middle of the 19th century. However, it is said that 1.5 million Europeans died of famine caused by low temperature in 1315.

It should be also noted that the history entered the Avignon Papacy period which lasted from 1309 to 1378. The period was one of conflict and controversy during which French Kings held considerable sway over the Papacy and rulers across Europe felt sidelined by the new French-centric Papal Court. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avignon_Papacy)

Anyway, while I am writing 1300's postings, the reflected history is not so bright.

In Japan, it was in the middle of the governance period by the first samurai regime whose capital was placed at Kamakura facing the Sagami Bay you can take a glimpse of in this blog's pages dated on and after January 1, 2010.

SECTION I: Next Five Big Earthquakes

Online Time Magazine listed the following as the five most possible earthquake areas:
1. Los Angeles
2. Tokyo
3. Tehran
4. Pacific Northwest
5. Indonesia

http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/completelist/0,29569,1930622,00.html

The 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake that occurred on December 26, 2004, with an epicentre off the west coast of Sumatra, Indonesia, took on 230,000 lives most of whom were Muslims.

Next time, no Muslims should be victimized.

Then, Los Angeles and Tokyo must be well prepared for the possible great disaster.

I hope that the number of men and women in Tokyo who do neither respect nor fear the God will decrease.

In this respect, I hope that the EEE Reporter blog will save both the viewers and its author from a very possible earthquake around Tokyo or Los Angeles, since it never ceases to praise the words of the God as you see.

SECTION II: CO2 Conspiracy Proven

The United States Historical Climatology Network (U.S. HCN), a subset of the U.S. Cooperative Observer Network operated by NOAA's National Weather Surface (NWS), proposed new data on the temperature. It is called the new USHCN2 surface temperature data.

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/climate/research/ushcn/

Against this temperature data, the historical CO2 trend can be plotted anew, though resulted in a not so excellent matching as the measure 0.44 suggests:
http://wattsupwiththat.com/2008/01/25/warming-trend-pdo-and-solar-correlate-better-than-co2/

However, the total solar irradiance (TSI) has a more apparent correlation with the new temperature data since the measure is over 0.5 and close to 0.6:
http://wattsupwiththat.com/2008/01/25/warming-trend-pdo-and-solar-correlate-better-than-co2/

The combined effect of the atlantic multidecadal oscillation (AMO) and the effect of the pacific decadal oscillation (PDO), two oceanic phenomena, is also more apparent against the new temperature data:
http://wattsupwiththat.com/2008/01/25/warming-trend-pdo-and-solar-correlate-better-than-co2/

Now, let's see the increase of CO2 against other reliable temperature data of recent years, namely Britain’s Hadley Climate Research Unit (CRU) data and MSU’s (John Christy) satellite temperature data:
http://wattsupwiththat.com/2008/01/25/warming-trend-pdo-and-solar-correlate-better-than-co2/

If this analysis is authentic, CO2 increase in the atmosphere has no decisive influence on an increase of the temperature on the ground, to our true surprise.

*** *** *** ***

From 1970 to 1975, the world seems to have been the coldest since 1920.

So, if you have any memory on this period, it might be very precious.

Of course, the biggest incident of the era was the end of the Vietnam War.

You may see the end of the War on Terror or the violent struggle between Islam and America in future. Then, you might suggest to the future generation that seeing the end of the War on Terror is very precious.

But, of course, after the war, you will probably face new challenges, since there are always those who have not minded a preceding war even in the middle of the war.

That is why you should not trust those who lived in the era of the Vietnam War without minding the War or in the wake of the 9/11 Terror without minding the Terror.

And, those victimized in the War or the Terror never come back alive unless the God so wishes...

Rev 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

Rev 1:15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

Rev 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

Rev 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

"Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints"

Warning on the Ground, Governments, and Global Warming Implication

In these days, heavy snow is falling in the regions facing the Sea of Japan.

Around Tokyo, the sky is clear but it is cold. Winds are taking away any comfort left on the street.

Yet, Haiti is now suffering the terrible aftermath of the great earthquake which hit the very poor Caribbean nation around 7 a.m. of this morning, Japan Time.

So, I request again the U.S. to help poor Central American nations using 1% of the American GDP, namely $140 billion. It is so, since in Haiti those who live under the poverty line account for 80% of all the population.

If I continue to request it for poor Latin American people, Tokyo might be able to continue to avoid a disastrous earthquake worse than the Haiti's...

May peace and prosperity be with Haitians!

SECTION I: Tax On Central Bank

Japanese investors last year invested about $300 billion into foreign countries.

FRB's profit reached $521 million, so that they paid $461 million to the U.S. Government as tax.

My proposal is to allow the Government to impose a tax on the central bank. An item of tax to be applied is not a matter. The Government should get money it needs from the central bank following a provision of a tax law the legislature would prescribe reasonably. It can be a tax not on profits but on potential of financial influence. The balance sheet of a central bank can be accordingly modified.

For example, the Government should be allowed to impose a tax equivalent of up to 5% of the GDP on the central bank, since the central bank can influence 5% of GDP.

This scheme will not cause inflation if an economic size of a nation is as large as Japan's or America's, since this sort of scale effect must be applied to economics. It is so if a national budget is intelligently allocated to effective public projects.

Accordingly, the Japanese Government will enjoy an increase in tax revenues of 25 trillion yen; the U.S. Government $700 billion.

SECTION II: Historical Changes with Climate Change

It is said that the temperature in Japan rose by 2 degrees C during 100 years from 740 to 840.

In this period the Imperial Yamato Regime in Nara and then in Kyoto expanded its territory to the northeast area, including the present Tokyo Area, of the main island of Japan.

The Great Statute of Buddha was also built in Nara in 752.

732: Battle of Tours. Near Poitiers, France, leader of the Franks Charles Martel and his men defeat a large army of Moors under the governor of Cordoba, Abdul Rahman Al Ghafiqi, who is killed during the battle. The Battle of Tours halts the advance of Islam into Western Europe and establishes a balance of power between Western Europe, Islam and the Byzantine Empire.

750: The last Umayyad Caliph Marwan II (744–750) is overthrown and executed by the first Abbasid Caliph, Abu al-Abbas al-Saffah. The Caliphate is moved to Baghdad, within the territory of the former Persian Empire; this would prove to be a momentous event for Baghdad which developed into a centre of trade and culture. The Ghana Empire begins.

781: Nestorian Monument is erected in China.

794: Emperor Kammu moves the capital to Heian-kyō (present day Kyoto), initiating the Heian period of Japan.

800: On Christmas Day, Charlemagne is crowned the first Holy Roman Emperor by Pope Leo III.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8th_century

During this period of global warming, West Europe was gradually rising again from the disaster following the fall of the Western Roman Empire.

The Islamic world was expanding, though having failed in invasion of Europe, around Baghdad as its center.

Japan started to develop its unique culture, leaving the China's cultural dominance.

After this transition period, Europe entered the all-out warming period of the Medieval Times.

This period around 800 seems to have been the one with an accelerated change in temperature. The real influence on the nature and fluctuation of the temperature must have been greater than what are assumed from the temperature trend figure, since the figures plotted there are averaged ones in a year or so.

By analogy, the global warming in these decades, regardless of its cause, might be really causing a great change in a wider scope of history.

The economic rise of India and China might be one phenomenon. The political/religious confrontation between Islam and America might be another.

(In the above figure, the yellow curve must be more correct, since the Western Roman Empire must have suffered a large drop of temperature.)

At warm Hawaii, Japan's Foreign Minister Mr. Katsuya Okada met Secretary Mrs. Hillary Clinton for confirming the Japan's promise to present a final proposal to the U.S. Government in this May on where to move the old and dangerous marine air station at Futenma, Okinawa Island.

As the approval rate of President Mr. Barack Obama is declining, the presence of Secretary Mrs. Hillary Clinton seems to be put a premium on more than ever.

Yet, it is still unknown if Mr. Okada as prime minister and Mrs. Clinton as president to meet again in future in the land of everlasting summer while the snow is falling heavily in the west coast of Japan and the east coast of the U.S.

"the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ"

(As it was January 1, only a few souls could be seen at this center of 12 million-populated Tokyo Prefecture...)

TRUST

On TV, Mr. McGwire was aplogizing for his use of steroids, especially, in 1998.

He did not look like someone who really mastered the art of batting and hitting, though he was delivering 70 homers. Yet, Japanese baseball fans were all anazed. Many Japanese spent some money to travel, go, and watch Mr. McGwire at American baseball parks. However, no one would be sorry for that today, since it was a thing before 2001 and 2008.

SECTION I: TWO PAPER TIGERS?

There seem to be some concerns about the expression "China and the U.S., two paper tigers" I used yesterday.

First of all, the biggest concern in 1990's in Japan was how to avoid a global financial crisis triggered in Japan. Eventually Japan succeeded in avoiding a global financial crisis to be set off in Japan. But, it happened in the U.S. In 2008, the U.S. triggered the global financial crisis.

American politicians and economists spent a lot of time and days and nights just criticizing Japan for its lost decade in terms of economy before 2008, without praising Japan for avoiding a global financial crisis to be triggered in Japan.

And, without apologising to Japan and the world, American politicians and economists ran to China to have them buy all the more American Treasury bonds and notes after the Lehman Shock, while Tibetans and Uygurs were being suppressed violently by the Chinese Government.

Besides, eight years after 2001, situations in Iraq and Afghanistan in addition to international airliners are not improved. What's worse, Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia are added to the list of potential war zones.

As for China, their selfish and irresponsible behaviors even excited the ire of the U.K. at the recent COP15 Meeting, since China did not show any will to contribute to global cooperation and harmony by sacrificing its economy.

That is why I thought that the two heavily armed nations, China and the U.S., look like two paper tigers, since they have no will to tackle and solve real problems in the world.

Nonetheless, if Americans and Chinese who are not politicians and economists are offended by the two-paper-tiger expression, I am very sorry, since it is not for them definitely. It is for some responsible elites in the U.S. and China.

SECTION II: JAPAN VS. USA?

It is said that the Hatoyama Administration of Japan is now regarded as one of the ten possible crisis of the world.

It is because Prime Minister Mr. Hatoyama's behaviors look so anti-American.

Yet, there are so many military bases in Japan with tens of thousands of American soldiers while Japan has been the largest purchaser and holder of the U.S. Treasury bonds and notes except recent two years where China has bought more. Accordingly, there is no war between Japan and the U.S. like between China and the U.S. Besides, the Japanese Constitution forbids war. There would be no threat to the U.S. at all, even if the Hatoyama Cabinet was anti-American as much as Chinese leaders are.

Truly, Japanese people love so much American-style democracy and American people love so much Toyota, Sony, and many other Japanese businesses. Only, those politicians and economists who have never studied the Japanese democracy as well as Toyota and Sony are worrying that Japan would pose more threats to the U.S. than China does.

Nonetheless, Prime Minister Mr. Hatoyama bought 28 books yesterday as he visited a book store near the Tokyo Station one of which is Former Clinton administration Labor Secretary Mr. Robert Reich's "Supercapitalism."

Supercapitalism
The Transformation of Business, Democracy and Everyday Life

...
Reich offers a sad glimpse at a cynical Capitol Hill, which he depicts as an institution overrun with registered lobbyists, nearly 33,000 strong as of 2005, up from 11,000 in 1997.

He explains why Google hired lobbyists shortly after it went public to use the law against Microsoft, and how Oracle hired private investigators in 2000 who bribed janitors to sift through trash for antitrust evidence against Microsoft.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/09/09/RVI8RM15E.DTL&hw=Robert+Reich&sn=001&sc=1000
----------

Prime Minister Mr. Hatoyama said that as he was a busy man it would take only five minutes or so for him to check each book, though there are several "capitalism"-related books in addition to two cartoon or manga books.

He did not buy, however, any book whose theme is, for example, the 9/11 conspiracy theory.

And, EEE Reporter does not support any 9/11 conspiracy theories (including one involving even President Mr. Barack Obama).

In this regard, Islam had better welcome more people whose religion is not Islam.

Otherwise, how can Muslims be trusted by non-Muslims? Religion is for mankind not for any specific faction of believers.

If a man is from the Vatican, Jerusalem, or Mecca, he must be treated as good as a Christian, a Judaist, or a Muslim is at any place on this earth which is owned by God.

(Holiday in Japan...Shrine Worshippers around Tokyo...)

Some Twice More and Others 100 Times More in Vain?

It is a public holiday in Japan today: Coming-of-Age Day. One of two main rare occasions for ordinary Japanese people to go and worship at a Shintoism shrine in a year, though just 10 days after holy January 1.

SECTION I: The Internet Effect

In these decades, the number of Internet users has increased at an unfaltering pace.

In 1995, only 16 million people enjoyed the Internet; today 1.7 billion people, namely 100 times more all over the world.

http://www.internetworldstats.com/emarketing.htm

There are two aspects this huge increase in Internet use has been involved in as a major factor: Individual Behaviors and Industrial Behaviors.

In each domain, the Internet has brought more benefits than damages in general.

First of all, the Internet has widened a chance for an individual to find a means with which to be free and exercise freedom more easily and more efficiently, satisfying individuals more.

Secondly, the Internet has widened a chance for a business to find a means with which to grow and develop its capability more easily and more efficiently, satisfying businesses more.

In this context, the largest beneficiaries of the Internet in these 15 years are China and the U.S. China could become the global economic power and the U.S. could maintain its status as a superpower through exhaustive use of the Internet.

Without this Internet power, China could not have launched its economy. The Internet has allowed China to acquire know-hows and technological knowledge and information at a pace 100 times faster than Japan struggled to get them from Europe and America after its start of modernization in the late 19th century. Chinese industries owe its success to the Internet as one of major factors.

It also gave an efficient means to the Chinese Government to control the people. The Internet allowed the Chinese Government to allow people to enjoy economic and personal freedom while restricting political and social freedom. However, democracy may prevail due to the Internet in China sooner or later.

With exploiting power of the Internet, individual Americans further expand the scope of their freedom. They have been happier to find a means to express themselves more freely over the Internet and exercise individual talent in business and other social activities by leveraging the telecommunications and multi-media technologies.

Specifically, the American finance sector has multiplied their transactions and business scopes supported by reliable and fast computing systems. It has enabled the handling of astronomical sums of money and combinations of trading and margins/interest as well as management of millions of portfolios. However, desire-driven use of the Internet in the U.S. financial sector may result in a great debacle at any time like in the case of September 2008.

Indeed, the most outstanding changes since 1995 to today are the economic rise of China buying U.S. Treasury bonds and notes more than Japan, and the U.S.-triggered global financial crisis and recession, resulting in the 10% unemployment rate in the U.S. and the 5% unemployment in Japan.

Nonetheless, as long as the Internet never ceases to expand, another China or another America might emerge, riding on the Internet effect.

Anyway, when you observe or analyze China and the U.S., you have to always check how the Internet effect is working in this G2, though not a so honorable group.

It is so since the Internet is yet to introduce true democracy into China and true discipline in the U.S. financial sector.

SECTION II: Asia over the U.S. and the E.U. in Value-Added Revenue

In terms of the world share of production and sale of value-added goods of high-technology application, Asia (including Japan, Korea, China, and India) has secured its leading position even after 2001.

The amount of real business in this sector has more than doubled since 1995. Indeed, development of Internet-related technologies promise future or ever sustained growth in at least one sector of industries: value-added manufacturing of high-technology application. Truly the Windows 95 OS and its successors have enabled 100 times more users in the virtual sphere to leverage the Internet since 1995.

http://www.nsf.gov/statistics/seind08/c6/c6s2.htm#c6s24

Yet, as a single nation, the U.S. is still the largest and the most advanced nation, the weight in Asia has been all the more intensified.

From the above graph, it is apparent that the U.S. might surpass Japan but cannot Asia including Japan.

The implication is significant even in politics.

President Mr. Barack Obama reportedly said that he would not send troops to Yemen and Somalia.

So, I think that no American troops will be sent to Yemen and Somalia until 2012.

Yet, there is a significant concern about future U.S. invasion of, or involvement in, armed conflicts or a civil war in Yemen and/or Somalia, specifically after 2012.

It is also symbolic that the executant of the Xmas-Eve airliner terror attempted had visited Dubai before taking his fatal course to the terrorism.

You had better refer to EEE-History as posted in EEE Reporter on October 3, 2008.

Go, Go, Money; Go, Go, Energy; Go, Go, CO2 Business

Deaths of the Today's Poor vs. Deaths of the Future Rich

If the global warming continues wildly, it is possible that even 100 rich Europeans will die due to a heat wave 50 years later.

But, 100 million poor Africans, Asians, and Latin Americans are dying due to poverty today.

Besides, today's rich Europeans are trying to make more money through CO2 emission trading, pretending as if worrying about the future of their grandchildren.

There are three primary sources of heat for the earth:
Factor-1. The Sun (S)
Factor-2. The Core of the Earth (E)
Factor-3. The Energy Released by Mankind (M)

There is one main incidental heat amplifier for the earth:
Factor-4. CO2 Effect (CO2)

There are two main cooling factors for the earth:
Factor-5. Clouds (CLD)
Factor-6. Change in Ocean Currents (OCN); If the Gulf Stream from the the Gulf of Mexico stopped, West Europe would be cooled like the West Coast of Canada.

The ratio of potential on the actual temperature rise of the air is:
S:E:M:CO2 = 99:0.99:0.0099:0.000099, in my rough feeling.

Accordingly, it is truly laughable that politicians and economists in Europe who cannot argue S, E, M, and CLD and OCN are talking about CO2 as well as business schemes to trade CO2 emission rights.

http://www.appinsys.com/GlobalWarming/GW_TemperatureProjections.htm

http://timeforchange.org/prediction-of-energy-consumption

First, Europeans should apologize to poor Africans, Asians, and Latin Americans today dying due to poverty caused by prosperity by Europeans using so much energy while they foolishly claim that the very cause of global warming is CO2 emitted by Japan, India, Russia, Brazil, and so on.

Without this apology first extended by Europeans, no sincere discussions on anti-global warming measures can be expected with Europeans, so-called nominal Christians.

Yet, if a new glacial epoch should come, Europeans will surely move to Africa, Asia, and Latin America, relying on their advanced weapons or financial power.

To avoid all this all-out foolishness, Europeans have to repent and come to love the poor as true Christians must do.

Yes, Europeans' repenting and coming to love the poor are the very solution to the issue of the global warming issue.

As for irresponsible Chinese and arrogant Americans, I will discuss them later, since there are specific religious matters in this G2, or the two paper tigers.

"shall be punished with everlasting destruction"

(Tokyo, January 1, 2010)

In These 4500 Years

As Dubai people enjoyed the boom, terrorism never ended.

Super-rich Muslims must have wanted to divert to America the brunt or gun points terrorists directed at them, so that they could enjoy prosperity at Dubai.

If super-rich Americans thought that it was a necessary price for big fortunes they could partake in at Dubai, they would not press super-rich Muslims to join the War on Terror but rather help them prosper at Dubai.

Conversely, super-rich Americans, poor Americans, super-rich Muslims, and poor Muslims alike have to get united to eradicate terrorism.

SECTION I: 2000 Years for Mankind

The Great Pyramid of Giza was built around 2551 B.C.

The Second Temple in Jerusalem was built around 515 B.C. The Old Testament was started to be compiled and arranged around this period.

So, it took 2000 years that the Great Pyramid of Giza had been proven to be useless for mankind. Or, any great material monument mankind has ever built is useless. But, for the case of the Great Pyramid of Giza, the God had given the 2000-year time period.

Then, around 500 B.C., a surge of spiritual development was observed in Israel, India, and China. For example, history witnessed the Old Testament in Israel, Buddha in India, and Confucius in China around 500 B.C., namely 2000 years after the building of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Yet, it was also 2000 years after Abraham and his family left Mesopotamia that Jesus Christ emerged in Israel with the subsequent establishment of the New Testament.

Indeed, before Jesus Christ, Alexander the Great actually observed the Great Pyramid of Giza and Caesar also observed the Great Pyramid of Giza, but the Pyramid did not give any eternal glory to them.

Jesus Christ, who reportedly had ever been in Egypt while He was a baby, never mentioned the Great Pyramid of Giza as well as the Great City Rome, Alexandria, and Athens. Yet, His teaching laid foundation to the present-day prosperity of Europe and North America.

And, 2000 years after 500 B.C., Christoper Columbus reached part of the American Continents and Martin Luther started liberal Christianity or Protestantism in Germany around 1500.

And, 2000 years after the emergence of Jesus Christ, you are actually viewing EEE Reporter being posted in Japan, since it is now the year 2010.

That is why I am telling you that you are blessed to be born around 2000 if not around 1500 or, otherwise A.D.1 or 500 B.C., since 2551 B.C., when the Great Pyramid of Giza was built, could be regarded still as the starting point of this conflict between spiritual value and material value.

SECTION II: The Great Pyramids of Giza

The pyramid is a magnified capstone ancient Egyptians put on the top of their big rectangular cubic tomb underground.

Originally, for some reasons, ancient Egyptians put a humble triangular pyramid as a symbol of a tomb under the ground. As time went by, this symbolic capstone grew to be the great pyramid.

Accordingly, as for the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Giza terrace or tableland is the shared main body of the tombs, and the the Great Pyramids themselves are capstones. The bodies of the kings who built the Pyramids must be resting under the Pyramids in the Giza terrace.

However, it is well known the formation of the three Pyramids simulates the three central stars of the constellation Orion. It might be however just a part of fruitless religion.

http://www.dudeman.net/astra/giza/oct.html

Yet, I like to see Orion in the night sky nowadays. The stars M43 and M42 down the three belt stars of Orion look like being simulated by the great Sphinx.

Anyway, Orion observed together with the Pleiades might be the best night scenery, though it is very unlikely the Messiah will come from there.

Today I saw on TV a Japanese female medical doctor working in Vietnam to perform surgical operations to children born with facial deformation around the mouth.

Many people in Vietnam are still riding on bicycles like in China in 1980's, but it is truly a piece of good news that some Japanese are providing free medical services for poor Vietnamese in the early 21st century, though 50,000 or so American soldiers died in the Vietnam War.

No super-rich Americans died in the Vietnam War; no super-rich Americans and Muslims look like going to die in the War on Terror.

Poor Americans and Muslims had better turn to Japan if not Vietnam.

"we should not trust in ourselves, but in God "

Blind Leaders Leading Blinded People

Africa is not on the path for prosperity to be another Japan, since Europe is exploiting Africa.

The Middle East is not on the path for prosperity to be another Japan, since Europe and America are exploiting the Middle East.

Central America is not on the way for prosperity to be another Japan, since America is exploiting Central America.

But, East Asia and South East Asia are on the way for prosperity to be another Japan, since Japan has been helping them in these decades.

That is why European elites and American elites do not admire Japan unlike East Asians and South East Asians.

It is time to accept the truth.

SECTION I: Dollars and Gun Around Kabul

A veteran Japanese professional cameraman climbed one of mountains surrounding the city Kabul for the purpose of taking pictures of the capital of Afghanistan.

As the banking system in Kabul does not work well today to serve foreigners, he was carrying all the money he had in his purse and also in a special belt.

Then a gunman appeared, pointing the gun at the cameraman and searching his body for money. The armed robbery soon found the purse with full of crisp bills. Then the Afghan brandished his gun to the Japanese who immediately ran down the rocky mountain.

However, the smart Japanese saved most of his money, since only 10 of U.S. $1 bills and only 10 of Afghan $1 bills were in his purse the Afghan robbery took out of him. But, they were all crisp bills without any stains and blots. Accordingly, the robbery misunderstood that the parse contained 10 of U.S. $50 bills and 10 of Afghan $100 bills, since it is unthinkable that any one is carrying 20 crisp one-dollar bills in his parse in Afghanistan or anywhere in the world.

His assets in his money belt were surely secured and preserved.

The Japanese cameraman recently posted his idea about money in general in his blog.

The issue is that while the Bank of Japan has issued only bills worth 80 trillion yen ($0.8 trillion), total deposits in commercial banks in Japan reached 1000 trillion yen ($10 trillion). It is because money has been created by commercial banks through credit creation in the concrete form of lending money into accounts of clients.

Put simply, if a bank judges that you are a man who can return money or pay interest, it will lend you money. Yes, the bank will lend you money if it does not have cash at all. But, it causes no troubles, since all the banks follow this scheme. Banks are transferring and receiving this transparent money in the concrete form of figures and numbers in computer files nowadays.

The point at issue is whether you are qualified or not in the credit appraisal by a bank. To be qualified, you have to be rich. You must have credit or social status a poor man however cannot enjoy.

If you are rich or a person of position, a bank will trust you and lend you money if the bank does not have any money or cash, since all the banks follow this scheme, transferring and receiving transparent money through computer systems using figures and numbers.

Indeed, it is time to review this scheme: Is it quite sound or sophisticated otherwise so laughable and nonsense?

SECTION II: Jesus Christ and Global Warming

We may say that the easiest way to reduce CO2 emission is to limit the amount of oil/coal/gas all the countries are allowed to use.

So, COP-X arguments should be focused on what percentage of total reduction should be adopted.

If you like, each country should reduce its amount of oil/coal/gas to be consumed in its territory by 1%, 2%, 3%, 5%. 8%, 13%, 21%, or 34% so as to prevent global warming.

This is the surest way to reduce the total amount of CO2 mankind emits to the air.

To do this, all the countries must lower their living standard. For example, America must lower its living standard to the level of Afghanistan's. All the advance countries must be as poor as the poorest country is. This is the last solution for reduction of CO2.

But, America and other rich countries would not accept this solution: lowering the living standard to the level of Afghanistan's.

Instead, America and other rich countries would try to prevent poor countries to be rich, try to make poor countries continue to be as poor as they are today, or try to make poor countries poorer, so that CO2 emission is a little suppressed.

America and other rich countries would even try to make some rich countries poor and poorer. No rich countries want to be poor if it is necessary to reduce CO2 emission, but they will make some rich countries poor and poorer, so that CO2 emission is a little suppressed.

In this situation, a country should stand against one another with clear intention to have other countries bear the burden of reducing the amount of oil/coal/gas to be used for maintaining material civilization.

This is the very situation Jesus Christ prophesied: "When the end is near, a country should stand against one another."

Yet, artificial CO2 emission might not have a decisive influence on the global warming as well as global cooling, scientifically.

*** *** *** ***

Today's material civilization is like the Great Pyramid.

However, 2000 years after the completion of the Great Pyramid, it had no value. Accordingly, the Old Testament was compiled, leading to the beginning of the New Testament 600 or 500 years after, namely the birth of Jesus Christ.

Today's material civilization must look like the Great Pyramid in future.

It is so, since 2000 years later, it will have no value.

Justice and love to the poor must become foundation to the next 2000 years of mankind.

Today's war, terror, global warming, financial crises, and so on must be viewed from this viewpoint.

2Co 1:8 For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

2Co 1:9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:

2Co 1:10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

"your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world"

(Touching a tip of the Pacific Ocean 40 Km southwest of Tokyo.)

More than Living for Money and Pleasure

Today, before noon, I saw five police or defense-force helicopters in formation flying toward me, though 400-meter high.

Approaching enough, they gradually U-turned midair, while I was watching, to the south or Tokyo. Anyway, such a thing never happened in my life.

Accordingly, I have recorded it here, since there might be five people viewing EEE Reporter in Tokyo.

SECTION I: Japanese Homeless Women

Several days ago, a Japanese TV station presented a homeless woman living alone on Tokyo streets for years.

She was not admitted to a shelter the Japanese Government had set up for homeless and jobless people to spend this New Year Season somewhat decently, because she had to first go and file a request at a local public office of a ward where she mainly lived. But she was not welcomed by officials of the public ward office who advised her to go to certain remote public facilities instead of the Government-set-up shelter.

The Government shelter so televised and covered by the media during New Year holidays this year was basically intended to provide aid for those who were recently fired by businesses, such as subcontractors of Toyota, Nissan, or Sony, due to this recession.

The over-middle-aged homeless woman would not go to the remote facilities, since she had no homeless friends in the area and no acquaintances in homeless aid groups working in the area where the recommended facilities were situated. Besides, if she had traveled to the remote facilities, she might have been simply and coolly advised again to go to other facilities.

Of course, officials of the public ward office who advised her to go to the distant facilities must have well understood that it was difficult for her to move there leaving her friends, her last resort of living in this world. They sent her back to cold, winter streets of Tokyo, while they knew that a chance of her accidental death was very high.

It is said that women account for 5% or so of all the homeless persons in Japan estimated to be around 50,000 among 125 million population.

There was a case that a homeless lady was killed by a young adult who mobilized teenagers to attack and rob her of money in a local city of Japan.

If the situation is so bad even in Japan, how desperate it is in China, the U.S., and the U.K. where so many racial, ethnic, and religious prejudices and conflicts are alienating people and groups of people from one another!

SECTION II: 1549 to 1639 of Japan

Christianity was officially introduced into Japan in 1549 and was officially terminated in Japan in 1639, once.

Around 1500, Christopher Columbus reached part of the American Continents. Then, half a century later Christianity reached Japan.

(It was just like that in 1955 Sony rolled out its first transistor radios [for listening of consumers] in Japan to be a global maker while in 2005 EEE-Reporter Blog was launched in Japan to be a global announcing site.)

Nestorius Christian is believed to have reached Japan more earlier, though evidences are scare.

The most authentic record is as follows:
--------
Francis Xavier reached Japan on 27th July, 1549, with Anjiro and three other Jesuits, but it was not until 15th August that he went ashore at Kagoshima, the principal port of the province of Satsuma on the island of Kyūshū. As a representative of the Portuguese king, he was received in a friendly manner, hosted by Anjiro's family until October 1550. From October to December, 1550, he resided in Yamaguchi. Shortly before Christmas, he left for Kyoto but failed to meet with the Emperor. He returned to Yamaguchi in March, 1551, where he was permitted to preach by the daimyo of the province. However, lacking fluency in the Japanese language, he had to limit himself to reading aloud the translation of a catechism.

Francis was the first Jesuit to go to Japan as a missionary.[citation needed] He brought with him paintings of the Madonna and the Madonna and Child. These paintings were used to help teach the Japanese about Christianity. There was a huge language barrier as Japanese was unlike other languages the missionaries had previously encountered. For a long time Francis struggled to learn the language. Artwork continued to play a role in Francis’ teachings in Asia.[citation needed]

For forty-five years the Jesuits were the only missionaries in Asia, but the Franciscans also began proselytizing in Asia as well. Christian missionaries were later forced into exile, along with their assistants. Some were able to stay behind, however Christianity was then kept underground as to not be persecuted.

There was a change in the Japanese Finance Minister.

It is purely an inner-party issue of the ruling Democratic Party of Japan.

Though Prime Minister Mr. Yukio Hatoyama did not intend this change, the former Finance Minister decided to leave the Cabinet based on his personal judgment about situations involving human relationships with top leaders of the Party as well as progress in investigation by public prosecutors into allegations of mishandling of political funds by some Party members.

However, the New Finance Minister of Japan Mr. Naoto Kan is truly a stranger as an expert in finance, though he has been a national lawmaker for 30 years or so.

And, it is unknown what personal relationships he has with Chinese leaders and American leaders. Probably, only a few...

You may check Prime Miniter Mr. Hatoyama's remarks on this issue at his personal Twitter site in Japanese:

Indeed, Twitter is getting popular among some elite politicians in Japan, though twits are not desirable at all in the National Diet or Parliament.

"unto the uttermost part of the earth."

I do not dislike dogs which respect human beings on any occasions.

There are several types of dogs indigenous to Japan, but basically it is Shiba-Inu, a smaller type, that is the most unique and basic as a Japanese dog.

The Shiba-Inu dog is believed to have come to the Japanese Islands tens of thousands years ago with people who had reached this easternmost land of the Eurasia Continent from Siberia down to Hokkaido and Honshu Islands.

Ancient Japanese of thousands years ago buried their dogs with love as
unearthed objects tell.

Anyway, DNAs of those dogs reveal that they are different from Japanese wolves that became extinct in the early 20th century.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiba_Inu

In addition, there are no evidences that the tiger ever lived on the Japanese islands, though mammoths and dinosaurs did.

(Note: "Inu" means a dog in Japanese, "Oh-Kami" a wolf, and "Tora" a tiger.)

SECTION I: Japan in 1760's

There are three prominent figures in Japan of 1760's under the Tokugawa samurai feudalistic regime.

Empress Go-Sakuramachi () (September 23, 1740 – December 24, 1813) was the 117th emperor of Japan, according to the traditional order of succession. She is the last and most recent woman to reign as Empress regnant, out of eight in the history of Japan. She was the eighth woman to ascend the Chrysanthemum Throne.[1] The years of her reign spanned the period from 1762 to 1771.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empress_Go-Sakuramachi

Tanuma Okitsugu ()(September 11, 1719, Edo, Japan - August 25, 1788, Edo) was a rōjū (senior counselor) of the Tokugawa shogunate who introduced monetary reform. He was also a daimyo, and ruled the Sagara han. He used the title Tonomo-no-kami.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanuma_Okitsugu

Motoori Norinaga (Japanese:; 21 June 1730–5 November 1801) was a Japanese scholar of Kokugaku during the Edo period. He is probably the best known and most prominent of all scholars in this tradition.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motoori_Norinaga

Japan closed the door to foreigners in those years for Tokugawa's policy of seclusion implemented from 1639 to 1853.

However, China and the Kingdom of the Netherlands kept trading relations with Japan, so that Japanese elite samurais comprehended what was going on in the world. However, world information, including knowledge of Christianity, was blocked from diffusing among ordinary farmers, craftsmen, and merchants.

Accordingly, the very unique culture power Japan further deepened its features in this period without influences of China and Europe in large.

In this context, it is noteworthy that Motoori Norinaga dedicated his 35 years, from his age of 35 to 69, to sincere study in the "Kojiki," an old document of imperial history and myths reportedly written in 712, respecting Japanese traditions rather than teaching of ancient Chinese philosophers the samurai regime paid much regard to.

Even today, the "Kojiki" and the "Nihon-shoki," the imperial and official classical history book written in 720, are the two major sources for studying and understanding Japan before the 8th century.

As Koran was first compiled around 650, the Kojiki and the Nihon-shoki could be regarded as a kind of religious books of Shintoism or Japanese spiritualism.

If you are studyng Japan and Japanese, one of your highest goals is to understand the Kojiki and the Nihon-shoki, though the Nihon-shoki is written in classical Chinese and Kojiki is written in mainly classical Japanese with some classical Chinese.

Without 35-year work by Motoori Norinaga, Japan today should have only the Nihon-shoki written in classical Chinese, as the oldest, authentic history book of Japan.

(Note 1: As Japan had been under strong and difficult military, diplomatic, and political pressure from superior China in the 7th century, the Japanese Imperial court prepared the Nihon-shoki to claim its historical independence from Chinese dynasties. For this purpose, it was written in Chinese of the era to claim that Japan was as civilized as China, since Japan had an official history book like each Chinese dynasty had.)

(Note 2: "Kojiki" means an old-thing document in Japanese; "Nihon-shoki" a Japan's authentic document.)

SECTION II:

Everybody is talking about BRICs: Brazil, Russia, India, and China. Their combined share of GDP in the world is expected to get 20% or more in 2010. However, they are not Islamic nations. They are rather socialism-oriented economies.

In any way of grouping, Japan (GDP share 6%) is unique like America (20%) because of religion.

So, history first, religion second, and economy third.

Respect historians more than religious professionals and economists.

Act 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

"In the beginning was the Word"

(This is the sun of January 1, 2010; This is Mt. Fuji of January 1, 2010. What else do you expect to see?)

Symmetry and Asymmetry

Dubai is situated in the middle of Baghdad, Tehran, Kabul, and Yemen.

The distance from Dubai to each other location is almost the same, in the global scale.

Have any Muslims said that Allah wants wealth and peace to be distributed from Dubai to Baghdad, Tehran, Kabul, and Yemen?

SECTION I: HAITI

A young Haitian said, "Nowhere to work here. You cannot be even forced to be a thief, since there is nothing to steal here."

One of the reasons why the U.S. cannot be praised is that the super power cannot even help Haiti develop economically.

If the U.S. helps duly those poor Caribbean countries as well as central American countries, American GDP will surely fall by 10% or so.

Japan has helped Taiwan, South Korea, China, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and even North Korea develop their economy. Accordingly, Japan has to experience deflation for so long, since Japan has to invest so much in those countries and import their inexpensive goods so much rather than boost up Japan's domestic demands.

It is partly to protect natural environment of Japan. Too much industrial development was about to harm the Japanese land to an irreversible degree in 1990's.

Yet, it is very strange or sinful that Haiti and Dominican Republic share the small island, while speaking French and Spanish, respectively, without any hope for prosperity though situated so close to America.

(That is why Japanese conservative people often say, "Look at those countries once occupied by the Empire of Japan. They are all prosperous now to a reasonable extent. So-called Japan's colonization is so different from that by America, France, Spain, and the U.K. The Empire of Japan introduced modernization to those countries and invested more than it exploited before WWII." There might be some exaggeration, but Taiwan with the world second tallest building is far better than Haiti and Dominican Republic today, as you know.)

SECTION II: Japan in 1960's

The world changed so drastically when it left its 1960's compared with when it had entered its 1960's.

At the beginning of 1960's, American citizens and students believed that American leaders in politics and economy respected Jesus Christ as much as they did. But, at the end of 1960's, they did not.

In 1960, Sony established Sony America in America.
In 1961, Sony went public on the American market as the first of Japanese businesses.
In 1963, Sony's president Akio Morita and his family moved to America to live.
In 1968, Sony established Sony UK in London.
In 1970, Sony established Sony GmbH in Germany.

At the beginning of 1960's, some Japanese people thought Japan would further grow economically as much as Italy sooner or later.

Tokyo Olympic Games were indeed held in 1964, following 1960 Rome Olympics.

In 1969, the Japanese Gross National Product (GNP) ranked No.2 in the world following the U.S.

Yet, unlike at the beginning of 1960's, universities and colleges in Japan were popularized in a large scale for the first time in the Japanese history in the late 1960's, thus changing the landscape of Japanese social structure from high-school graduate dominant society to university graduate dominant society as demonstrated by the student movement in late 1960's which was essentially different from the similar movement in early 1960's led by elite students and laborers over security partnership of Japan and the United States.

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

"the wicked doth compass about the righteous"

(Mt. Fuji of January 1, 2010; Japanese Shintoism sometimes regards a mountain as a shrine body itself - Mt. Fuji is also a shrine.)

Rebellion, Restoration, and Salvation

Now the holy three days from January 1 were over in Japan.

But some 800 jobless and homeless people in Tokyo have been especially taken care of by the Government providing them shelters and other aid for them to spend the New Year season decently, as the Japanese media have been covering those victims of a great recession since the second half of 2008.

Yet, I recommend the Bank of Japan to lend those jobless and homeless people $1000 per month per person under the government's guarantee, since it totals only $0.8 million per month while the Government can print its own yen bills as many as needed or wished by law.

If BOJ would not, the Government should establish a new bank for this function, the National Bank for Poor Japanese (BPJ). Then, other nations would follow suit with, say, the National Bank for Poor Americans (BPA).

SECTION I: Ryoma Sakamoto

Late last night, when I checked some satellite TV channels before finally switching off the TV, a certain TV station happened to present a mysterious history program.

It extended a unique theory that Sakamoto Ryoma was assassinated by his friend Nakaoka Shintaro at Kyoto in 1867.

Sakamoto Ryoma (family name is Sakamoto) is No.1 samurai hero Japanese people respect so much, since he contributed to success in ending the feudalism samurai period and opening a new era for modern Japan. Without him, it is believed, more bloods should have been shed and more chaotic situations should have lasted longer through civil wars between the last samurai regime of the Tokugawas based in Tokyo and emerging power of anti-Tokugawa samurai groups associated with the noble class and the imperial family based in Kyoto.

However, Sakamoto Ryoma was assassinated in Kyoto at one cold night, though he was talking with his long-time samurai friend Nakaoka who was also attacked and died two days later. Sakamoto was an expert in swordplay, but he always carried a handgun imported from America, since he had been attacked sometime before by Tokugawa police forces. Yet, he was killed by sword without effectively fighting back in his hiding room of a merchant house in the middle of Kyoto, the imperial capital of Japan.

Who sent the assassins is still a mystery without evidences. Who those samurai assassins were is still a mystery today without evidences. Though there is a common theory that Sakamoto was killed as some leader of the Tokugawa samurai government ordered a police platoon of Tokugawa's branch troops stationed at Kyoto to attack Sakamoto.

The TV program of the last night presented a new theory that Nakaoka betrayed and actually killed Sakamoto, but Sakamoto fought back with his handgun to wound Nakaoka; yet some foreign figures, most probably English diplomats or merchants, were involved behind the scene in this historic assassination of Sakamoto Ryoma who is still respected as a revolutionary samurai hero by many Japanese who voted the last summer in the general election to realize the regime change paving the way for the Hatoyama Cabinet.

SECTION II: Japan in 1860's

Around 1860, many samurais were victimized in assassination, attack in darkness, terrorism, and bloody machinations, while all the samurais, samurai clans, and samurai groups were divided into the Tokugawa camp and the anti-Tokugawa forces backed by the noble class and the imperial family.

Eventually, the era of samurais had gone with old social structure based on feudalism.

Both the pro- and anti-Tokugawa samurais, after the end of the Civil War in 1868, changed their clothes, hair styles, and habits, to be Western-style ministers, politicians, governors, bureaucrats, military officers, police, teachers, post masters, and medical doctors and professors in addition to businessmen, while gradually opening to ordinary people, namely non-samurais, the gate for the politics and other fields with the higher social status.

The Chiyoda (Edo) Castle used by the Tokugawas for 270 years was changed to the Imperial Palace.

Hab 1:1 The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.

Hab 1:2 O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!

Hab 1:3 Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.

Hab 1:4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
