This is the biggest issue today next to the fatal ones for mankind, “God and Japan” and “God and Israel.”
And, as I wrote, a few days ago, about the movie "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada," the biggest issue today in the U.S. is an increase in the number of Hispanic Americans, since their choice on next US President will virtually decide the outcome of the 2008 Presidential Election.

From a religious point of view, the God was very benevolent to European Christians, since He allowed Columbus to sail to the west on the Atlantic to find the New World where descendants of ancient Greek and Roman Civilization were promised great success from the beginning.
It looks like compensation for His approval to vouchsafing Islam to Arabs in the early seventh century.
However, two religious worlds, Christianity and Islam, seem to have been allowed to develop and proceed along with a 900-year rule on a historical time coordinate, respectively.
The sequence is as follows:

1) The God got angry around the seventh century with the Vatican for their blasphemy in concocting the so-called Trinity-in-Unity Theory and other pompous arguments about Jesus Christ and God.
2) So, God allowed an Angel around the seventh century to provide Islam to Arabs who had been so often told about creeds of the Vatican version of Christianity and the New Judaism formed after the new Diaspora since the first century, but could not wholly accept or believe them.
3) Islam was vouchsafed roughly 900 years after the era of Alexandros III or Alexander the Great, since Arabs could skip the glory of the old Judaism and Christianity due to their historical paradigm based on Islam.
The God waited for another 900 years watching development of Islam to find that the religion only served to protect Muslims at the boarder around Asia Minor and Palestine along with a failed attempt to invade West Europe from the Iberian Peninsula.
So, He allowed Columbus before the 16th century to read the book Marco Polo had written about China and Japan and venture into the sailing west on the Atlantic (with hidden intention to have the New Continent prepared also for Muslims in far future).
In this way, 900 years after the emergence of Islam which emerged 900 years after Alexander the Great who had conquered presently main Islamic regions, Columbus and European Christians were allowed to reach the New Continent later named “America.”
In this way, the Continent America was discovered in 1492 while Islam was established in 622 and Alexander the Great died 323 B.C. after his conquest of Asia Minor, Palestine, Egypt, Mesopotamia, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan (of the present day; and all of them are Islamic regions today) which is still an unfulfilled dream for any superpowers in the world as proven by the 9/11 Terror delivered from Afghanistan and Pakistan.
4) In addition, to Christians, another 900-year time rule could be applied. It was the year 962 that Pope John XII crowned Otto, then King of Germany, emperor. Emperor Otto became “the guarantor of the independence of the papal states. This was the first effective guarantee of such protection since the Carolingian Empire” (Wikipedia).
This incident led to the rise of the Hitler. But, before Hitler, in 1861, the Civil War erupted in the United States, just 900 years after the tie-up between German Emperor Otto and Pope.
Therefore, American Christians should live in this 900 year time coordinate, trying to understand implication of these two grave incidents in American/European History.

Now back to the Columbus era, the God was watching how European Americans would extend their gratitude to Him and get more and more pious, since they were given a great chance to develop Christianity anew breaking away the yoke of the Vatican, Rome.
But, European Americans killed so many Native North Americans, having been forced to desperately fight against emigrant Europeans, and abused so many African Americans having been forcedly brought to North America as slaves.
So, the God let His Angels to cause the Civil War where 600,000 soldiers were killed so as to release African American slaves.
Then, the God was and is still watching how African Americans would extend their gratitude to Him and get more and more pious, since they were given a great chance to develop Christianity anew breaking away the yoke of European American churches and doctrines.
At this point, you may like to think that the candidate “Obama” is the answer to the God.
But, I have to still recall the movie "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada," since the hero of the story, a European American rancher, recalled words his unfortunately killed Mexican friend had once proudly said: Jimenes (or Himenes) is a beautiful village surrounded by the mountains and valleys that will have your heart cry for heart-rending sorrow as it cannot bear such beautiful of the scenery.
Maybe, Hispanics might have a soul that can appreciate grace and blessing endowed by the God more than any other races on North America where Muslims might, however, become a majority in, say, 2400 (= 600 + 900 + 900).
What do you say on the 2008 US Presidential Election where Hispanics might exercise a decisive influential power for the first time in such occasion?
