Back Together with Seven Mutants of Viruses
It was said in early spring that the corona-pandemic would be fading away when summer came with high temperature, high humidity, and strong sun rays that would weaken activities of corona-viruses. But, when summer came, spread of corona-viruses was further accelerated.
In the case of Japan, as early summer approached, the infection status was fairly improved, but as the Government took out high alert and allowed more economic activities, acceleration of spread was resumed and more infected people were discovered.
So, it is thought that corona-viruses can well adapt to environment more than predicted. In this context, it is feared that the viruses might adapt to vaccines now under development. Therefore, it is better to develop and prepare various types of vaccines to suppress activities of the viruses that can quickly change their features and properties to survive in different environment and against new vaccines.
If the corona-viruses are more formidable, surviving our counter-measures, we have to more enhance our inherent immunity.
It is well known that our immunity against viruses is mostly based on white blood cells. And the number of white blood cells increases in the state where activities of parasympathetic nerves are dominant, for example, when we are relaxed and under less stress from work, human relationships, various fears or worries, etc.
However, it may be more useful to see factors reducing immunizing power. According to a study by the department of immunology of a Japanese medical university, these factors are (1) aging, (2) underlying diseases, (3) medical drugs suppressing immunity, (4) obesity and excess dieting, (5) sleep deprivation, (6) alcohols, (7) pregnancy, etc.
And modern Americans look champions in the fields of these factors. That may be why a quarter of the global victims of the corona-viruses are Americans.
It also means that the U.S. and other countries following the U.S. and adopting American lifestyle are vulnerable to present corona-viruses or new types of viruses expected to come in the future.
Indeed, Matthew 12 reads as follows:
43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
So, even if we can wipe out this pandemic in this year or next year, it may come back together with seven more mutants with more resistance against vaccines in 2040 or 2050.
Especially, Chinese leaders should read and learn the Bible, since China has generated various viruses several times in the history since the Middle Ages.
