The Honor and Fame of America but not of Trump
Some Japanese critics worry whether Trump will join the proposed meeting with Putin and Xi Jinping.
Putin seems to want to end the war with Ukraine while saving his own face. To attain the goal he wants Trump to pressure Zelensky into accepting the ceasefire. On the other hand, Trump wants the war with Iran to end before the midterm election. And, Xi Jinping wants to establish his position as one of true leaders in the world at the level of the U. S. president and the Russian president while China maintains close ties with Iran.
So, Putin will suggest a plan that China will put pressure on Iran into bringing about a ceasefire. If it succeeds, the U.S. can avoid energy price hikes, so that Trump will boost approval ratings. But, Putin will ask Trump to pressure Zelensky into accepting the ceasefire with Russia keeping some territories within Ukraine, in return.
So, Japanese critics think it is territorial division among the U.S., Russia, and China. The U.S. takes the Western Hemisphere, Russia takes the position to influence over neighboring countries, and China takes Middle Eastern countries like Iran as well as East Asia.
But, watching the current global situation, it is impossible to solve ongoing international problems without participation of Ukraine, EU, Israel and Saudi Arabia in addition to Taiwan and Japan.
Besides, as for Russia, there are many negative effects of the war against Ukraine within the country. China is in deep financial distress within the country, so that it looks impossible for Xi to mobilize the Chinese military for invasion of Taiwan.
Though on the surface the U.S. is at a disadvantage, Russia and China face potentially more catastrophic crises. But, as Trump is desperate to win the midterm election, he might accept Putin's strategy involving China in terms of the U. S. war with Iran.
Then, only Trump might gain something, but the U. S. government will lose the trust of the international community in the long term.
So, Americans should choose short-term Trump's interest and success and America's interest and success in the long term. I hope that they will choose the honor and fame of America but not of Trump.

19 The Jews who heard these words were again divided. 20 Many of them said, “He is demon-possessed and raving mad. Why listen to him?”
21 But others said, “These are not the sayings of a man possessed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”
22 Then came the Festival of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter, 23 and Jesus was in the temple courts walking in Solomon’s Colonnade. 24 The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.”
25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”
