Mr. Paul O'Neill was in Japan when the 9/11 Terror occurred in the US East Coast in 2001. He watched the news program in the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. Then, from the US Air Force base at Yokota, then US Secretary of Treasure flew back to the U.S. on a military plane.

"The Price of Loyalty" by Ron Suskind is one of the very absorbing reports on the US politics and its characteristics.

I also watched the news on TV in the night of September 11, 2001.

First, on switching a channel, they said that there was a fire in Washington D.C., and I saw a somber concrete building in fire. "Is a fire rare in Washington D.C.?" Then a TV announcer said that there was another fire disaster, too, in New York. "Rare coincidence?" And then, they presented a World Trade Center tower belching out black smoke from the upper middle of its structure. "Attacks!"

It was around 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. here in Japan; though I was busy at the time and could not stop my work, I continued monitoring the TV screen which also presented the unforgiven collapse of the two towers.

The leaders of Al Qaeda did not reportedly expect collapse of the entire WTC towers. They only expected the collapse of the upper part of the building. Just two commercial jet planes cannot destroy the New York City or the US economy.

The large-scale attacks to the Pentagon and other core facilities of US Government in the capital, however, are an act of war, especially when combined together with the NY attacks.

Subsequently, if the U.S. had completely destroyed the terror group and arrested main culprits or enemies in Afghanistan, and deftly driven out leaders of a longstanding hostile country in the Middle East to eradicate a potential danger of another attack on the US homeland, things today might have been very different.

It seems that the true motivation and intention of the US President on his order to attack Iraq, whether consciously or not, has not been fully understood or revealed. His honest view and assessment on the terrorists in Afghanistan, whether consciously or not, have not been clearly understood by, or presented to, the world citizens, either.

And, whenever I hear the number of casualties in Afghanistan and Iraq, I have come to think that they are people, without doubt, living on September 11, 2001, just like me.

Hence, the Great Tsunami Disaster, in a magnitude observed once a century, hit the largest Islamic country Indonesia in late 2004, killing more than 150,000 people; and Pope John Paul II died in 2005.

The age seemed to be getting into the worldwide and historical stage, not only as an episode of the U.S. and its young history.

I do not know how I was tested on September 11, 2001.

But, you may see it, though I cannot present any absorbing report like "The Price of Loyalty."

It has passed several years since the New York Stock Exchange price index reached the 10,000 dollar level.

When it hit the level, then FRB Chairman under the Bill Clinton Administration reportedly thought that it should have been 7,000 dollars or so.

He checked the background with focus on increase in productivity.

It is apparent that since 1995, when Windows 95 was released with advanced Internet functions and Intel CPUs got into a continuous power-up trend, US citizens have been driven into multiplying their productivity in any activities where a PC and communications can prove their power to the full extent as convenient and effective business tools. These conditions have really allowed for launching new business and cultivating new market in the US society, leading to the boost of the NYSE index and an overwhelming sense of success among US citizens with money enough for equity investment.

I thought at that time, when Japan was said to have lost in the Japan-US Monetary War in 1990's, that the Dow Jones industrial avergae at that level was a kind of upper limits but it would stay there due to advanced financial technology of the US financial sector.

With that high level of stock prices, you can be given larger credit when borrowing money.

Even if the stock price level falls like in the case in September 2001, you do not necessarily have to return money immediately. There is a "time lag" in which you could purchase stocks at a lower price, which would collectively result in generating an upper momentum of the stock market again. After all, your financial credibility crisis could be avoided.

If this cycle is repeated, the NY SE index would keep, in average over time, that higher level above 10,000 dollars.

But, everything changes; the momentum of keeping the cycle might be weakened. Costly wars on terror might trigger it. Mexican workers who only send their earnings back home might have an influence on a general cash flow. New energy technology might change a view of the world economy.

Anyway, it is better being loved than being rich.

I suppose He was writing names of women.

Outraged people, while being admonished by Him, reading the names of women written on the ground, clearly understood the meaning, since they were familiar names to them.

My assumption is that Jesus Christ first wrote the name "Cleopatra" every Israelite knew well, so as to hold the stage in the situation; it was two generations after her death in her war against the Roman Empire (just like today to WWII).

In the beginning, there was logic, owing to Omnipotence of God.

God let it establish itself.
Then, trials and testing began.

Firstly the concepts and logical operations of "True" and "False" were established. Then arithmetic logic was tried:

The concepts "0" and "1" were separated from each other as a mere trial on enabling "Existence," for God is Almighty. However, it failed in the following logic:
1 + 0 = 0
1 + 1 = 0

Next, another logic:
1 + 0 = 1
1 + 1 = 1

It is still insufficient, and finally:
1 + 0 = 1
1 + 1 = "2" with "2" suddenly emerging and claiming its Authenticity.

At this stage, one type of energies generated at the lowest level of the Heaven or Nothingness has survived in itself and began to sustain itself by relying on the logic.

It succeeded, changing its form to time and space, while all the other types of energies that could not develop into time and space failed and returned back to the lowest level of the Heaven or Nothingness.

The material universe got its foundation. Then it exploded like the so-called Big Ban, which is actually deployment of the energy in forms of time and space composing a kind of a "Table Cloth."

And, 13.7 billion years later, mankind has rediscovered the logic.
Hence, I am confirming it now.

However, it is a mystery that psychology of mankind still tries to admit the failed types of the arithmetic logic:

1 + 1 = 0
1 + 1 = 1

But, of course, the extension of "1 + 1 = 3, 4, 5, etc." with unauthorized margins might be easy to interpret.

As for the operation "+," it symbolizes the living God.

(Trying to find a convenient logic in a "court" or getting a maximum margin of profits in "market" may be not so sound as the study of the above hypothesis from a certain point of view, is it?)

"Hotel Rwanda" was released in Japan last year. It was a big hit, though not so much commercialized.

In the summer last year, one corner of a DVD rental shop in Tokyo where scores of "Hotel Rwanda" DVDs had been placed became empty. A young clerk of the shop was watching the corner with deep emotion.

He is the one who made the most efforts to have the movie released in Japan.

In September 2000, he was a student living in Kyoto with love of movies and music. He wanted to travel overseas in his last summer vacation in the university. Out of nowhere, he conceived a country called Rwanda. He wanted to take pictures of children in Rwanda and visited a memorial hall for victims of the well-known tragedy. He purchased tickets to Rwanda at a somehow perplexed tourist agency, but nobody including his bandmates wanted to accompany him "to Rwanda."

It was his first overseas trip. He stopped by at Holland where he was intimidated by some Europeans on a street. Hence, he became extremely cautious and stayed in a hotel all day during his stay in Holland. Then he flew to Nairobi bearing the lesson on a foreign street in mind.

On a Nairobi's street, while he was surrounded by street children, somebody suddenly shouted at him, "Takahashi! Takahashi!" He cautiously thought that Nairobi people should think that all the Japanese had the surname Takahashi. But, he found later on TV in a hotel that Ms. Naoko Takahashi won the Gold Medal in the Summer Olympic Games.

Then he in high spirits got to Uganda and checked in a cheap hotel, proudly talking to a clerk of the hotel on his smart and economical travel. But, the clerk asked him how much he had paid for air tickets from Japan.

He moved on and met a good natured Congolese. When they departed at the border to Rwanda, he could not help but offer a good wish to the good natured Congolese, for Congo was then at a civil war.

His long journey to Rwanda was truly rewarded when he was enjoying a bus tour in the civil-war torn country, as many children on a field waved back to him with a big welcome smile. Then the Japanese student happened to stay in a very deluxe hotel by chance, a little far from Kampala, since the bus stopped by accident in front of the hotel. In a hotel even a Japanese youth thought to be very gorgeous, he wondered in the midnight silence what country he was actually in.

After coming back to Japan, he made the most efforts to have the movie "Hotel Rwanda" released in Japan through organizing a promotion group.

But, why was he doing a part-time job in a DVD rental shop (except for air conditioning and young nice female colleagues)? It is because he quit a film distribution company that had employed him while he had been personally making great efforts for promoting "Hotel Rwanda." And, he later failed to pass employment examinations of various newspaper companies. He quit the part-time job and got burnt out, though his love for movies and music, in addition to his humble fame as the promoter, seems to be supporting him.

A notable politician in Japan, who was the representative of the largest opposition party when the 2005 9/11 general election was held in Japan, also saw the movie. He counted "Hotel Rwanda" as the best one among eight movies, which he had seen in 2006, including the one related to the "Iwojima" battle.

The influence of the movie might appear some day in the Japanese political community and media, promoting humanity and making people more compassionate.

Then, such a young man as the humble but great promoter of "Hotel Rwanda" might be paid off in a more practical sense.

I don't know if you have ever been to Rwanda or seen "Hotel Rwanda."

But, you surely have not heard of a story related to the "gorgeous hotel in Rwanda," which I have presented here with approval of God.

All I can say is that atrocities in Africa are more sinful than in any other continents: God must be angry.

Still considering such anger, how lucky we are (as if living in the Garden of Eden)!

According to the famous prophecies (of St. Malachy) and some interpretations, "Petrus Romanus" is the last Pope. However, it is extremely difficult to imagine the holy person and his situation. Anyway, St. Peter is the first follower of Jesus Christ. He only may be able to put an end to missions of his successors.

"De labore solis" for Ioannes Paulus II is very reasonable:
The Pope was like the sun for laborers in Poland under political, economic, and military influences of the USSR. In addition, the national flag of Poland is very akin to Japan's Sun Flag, in terms of colors, red and white. He is also the first Pope who visited Japan.

"Gloria olivae" for Benedictus XVI is very difficult to interpret due to his holy mission ongoing. (But, it should be noted that generally speaking Muslims have a skin color of olive. In terms of politics, natural resources, and religions, the focus on Islam has never been so intensified as nowadays. In his reign in Vatican, Islam might occupy a glorious position in the world and the human history, despite wars and other tragedies now plaguing them.)

In Tokyo Prefecture with 12 million population, registered foreigners are only 370,000. (They mostly live in concentrated places of the metropolitan area.)

Naive comparison of Tokyo with New York is not productive as well as that between a single-race nation, Japan, and a multiethnic nation, the U.S.

In addition, the situation is now changing. The US population reached 300 million plus 20 million Mexicans inside the border.

Accordingly, "Clash of Civilizations" by Samuel P. Huntington was translated into Japanese and reasonably sold.

Meanwhile Japanese companies invested total 1.1 billion dollars into Mexico in 2005 to boost their economic ties. Even the Japanese version of NAFTA was concluded between the two countries.

Though it is said that the poor accounts for 80% of the population of Mexico, the last year's Presidential election was remarkably fairly conducted, according to a Japanese businessman there. (The advertisement industry in Mexico seems to be one of focal points to be improved. Now, you know where to invest.)

I really want to say, "May God bless Mexico!"

In 1615, a Japanese envoy to the Vatican led by the samurai Tsunenaga Hasekura was granted an audience to Pope Paulus V in Rome.

(A Japanese samurai is not only a warrior, but also a bureaucrat, a financial manager, and sometimes a scholar, different from traditions of separation of swords and the pen in China and Korea.)

Though Hasekura was not sent off by a Shogun, he represented one strong samurai clan who wanted to strengthen its power base, against the Shogun's clan, with a support of the then superpower Spain, a Catholic empire.

Hasekura on board a Spanish ship crossed the Pacific Ocean and landed on Acapulco of Mexico, then a colony of Spain. He got to the other side of the land and went on to Europe across the Atlantic with help from Spain. Finally, his greeting behavior to Pope Paulus V was highly praised; and the envoy suffered no humiliation, though some members got determined not to go back home but stay and live in Spain.

Soon after Hasekura's coming back to Japan, the Shogun closed the country, severely banning the religion Christianity and the diplomatic relation with Spain while sacrificing the hegemony over the East Pacific which consequentially fell into the hand of the West until 1858 when a Japan-US treaty was signed resulting in opening the country again.

Nonetheless, a fact has remained that a Japanese samurai envoy arrived at Rome and officially met Pope Paulus V before the Mayflower left Southampton for America in 1620.

(According to Malachy's prophecies, Pope Paulus V should be concerned with Gens Perversa or the "wicked race." People suspected that Pope Paulus V might be wicked. But, it is apparent that the "wicked race" means Japanese in light of the above episode; actually Catholicism had been banned in Japan for 250 years under the Tokugawa samurai regime.

Now, we have only one or two Popes left, according to the prophecies: Gloria Olivae and Petrus Romanus.

But mankind must survive and progress with Jesus Christ.

When Alexander the Great (Aleksandros III Megas) came to Corinth, about 300 year before the birth of Jesus Christ, on his massive military campaign to the east, namely to Persia and as far as the Indus, he heard a rumor about Diogenes and visited him.

Diogenes once walked with a lamp in the daylight. People laughed at him, asking what he was looking for. Diogenes answered that he was looking for a human being. They all realized that they were all disqualified as a human being.

When Alexander the Great visited Diogenes, the philosopher was resting, lying on the ground.

Though Diogenes did not stand up to greet the King of Macedonia, the King asked him what he wanted from the King. Diogenes said to Alexander the Great to let the sunshine fall on him as the King stood between the Sun and Diogenes.

Alexander the Great praised Diogenes, saying that he wished to be another Diogenes though he was actually content with being "Alexander the Great."

As you know, the last fruit of a tree that had grown from a seed the King sowed was Cleopatra who is said to have been extremely smart to be loved by Caesar and Antonio.

However, if Alexander the Great had had also become another Diogenes and Cleopatra had had become the Queen of Rome, the fate of ancient Israelites might have been very different.

Does the U.S have a Diogenes, though it seems to have many admirers of Cleopatra and Alexander the Great?

I am an admirer of Diogenes because he pursued truth, he experienced a "state of a slave," he lived a life of the homeless, and he became an excellent educator respected by Alexander the Great, the most respected by Cleopatra.

What's more, unless the King of Macedonia himself went out to pay a courtesy visit to Diogenes, the King, still young, should have failed in his war against mighty and experienced Persia.

As you know, Sumerians were the first tribe that established the first human urban civilization, the Mesopotamian Civilization, building for example the city Ur 6000 years ago, though there had been a preceding agricultural tribe already in the delta of the Tigris and the Euphrates who however made no war against new comers.

From Ur, Abram departed once for all to the west following the order of God 5000 years ago, namely, in 3000 B.C. to become Abraham (which symbolizes an important thing).

(Moving around the regions might have been just an ordinary custom of ancient nomads; there might have been nothing holy as scholars have emphasized. Everything might have happened by chance, as everybody's birth and death as well as admission to Heaven or the hell...But I prefer assurance or holy assurance.)

Mesopotamia is the ultimate home province of Israelites (accordingly, isn't it holy?).

Though the different race Akkadians later came to Mesopotamia and shared the Civilization with Sumerians who had earlier come from the north and settled there, I believe Abraham belonged to Sumerians partly due to the location, the southern city Ur, which he left just relying on his God.

(This is why even today people living in Southern Iraq [Iraq may be named after another city called Urq] observe a different kind of Islam and rather communicate better with Iranians.)

The language Sumerians used is a kind of mystery; however, it has been proved to be different from a Semitic language Akkadians used, though both the races got mingled and shared their languages to some extent.

When Abraham left Ur, he seems to have used no longer the original Sumerian language. His descendants completely lost whatever Sumerian traits that had been preserved in Ur to become Semito-Hamitic like contemporary pious Arabs.

The genealogy that can be traced back to the first civilized race Sumerians seems to be more authentic than the one that can be traced only to the second civilized race Akkadians. I believe that Israelites are more glorious than today's scholars (and themselves) believe them to be.

We have to go and study in Mesopotamia to discover the holy reason why the God chose Abraham, a descendant of Sumerians.

The key to understanding human history might be found there. It will lead to deeper understanding the will of God.

Nonetheless, what the only superpower in the world is today doing for Mesopotamia, to which the God mercifully gave crude oil and Islam to bless descendants of mostly Akkadians, is just reinforcement of military capability.

I am afraid that they are doing something wrong or the worst in these 5000 years.

Mr. Rodger Donaldson is the director of "Thirteen Days."

His new movie, though originally released in the U.S. in 2005, "World's Fastest Indian" is now put on the screen in Japan.

The situation is set in New Zealand and the U.S. in 1960's. The hero is Burt Munro, an elderly and poor New Zealander, who traveled to the U.S. on a cargo vessel to make a world record of 306Km/h in a certain class of races in the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, riding on his 1920's Indian Scout motorbike.

While it is expected that more and more baby-boom generation in Japan are going to retire in coming years, the movie based on a real story that Burt Munro made the world record at his 60's seems timely.

The movie was produced without U.S. funds. But Japanese funds contributed to its production, making its completion possible.

In the universe and on the ground, you can be tested regardless of your age, at the risk of your life or even routinely as prominent TV personalities; but you may win once for all so that you will laugh heartily like Burt the Fastest.

Yet, you need faith (even if you have already made a world record of a certain kind which is widely well known).

Mr. Takashi Hirose, a prominent author in Japan, published a book titled "Sekai Sekiyu Senso (World Oil Wars)" in 2002.

He pointed out that oil incurs wars and wars incur arms business. In this context, he especially mentioned Mr. Adnan Khashoggi.

According to other source, "his 'services' as a 'facilitator' have never ceased throughout US administrations since Nixon, and lately, he met with Richard Perle, shortly before the American invasion of Iraq, in 2003" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adnan_Khashoggi).

Humbly accepting the historical fact, it is God who would let it sustain itself or not at His will.

(Rich Israelites alone cannot enjoy wealth and power in Europe and thus the U.S. It is German elites in the 18th century that trusted and backed a certain Israelite family who became and is still one of the richest one in Europe today. Anti-Semitism is regarded as an internal conflict among Christians, at least, in this context. In addition, Semitism and Ant-Semitism were, and have been, very remote thing in Japan both before and after WWII.)

And, though Mr. Hirose does not rely on the Internet to gather information (his sources are printed materials open to the world), the Internet should not be used in any harming manner against any individuals and religions. Otherwise, as the Internet is originally an infrastructure of the US Department of Defense, DOD should take the Internet off the world market.

(Can't DOD introduce new technical and procedural specifications to allow every router set at providers and exchanges to shut down a path to a worldly-admitted illegal site? Could anybody identify all the routers in the world public domain and their routing tables?)

As another episode contained in the book written by the said notable Japanese author who studied political and financial scandals in the U.S. and Europe, Mr. Harry Belafonte, who last year made a controversial speech at Duke University, had once purchased a whole condominium building in New York to live in one apartment because an owner of the building had refused to rent it to him.

In 1976, the movie "King Kong" was released. In its last scene, the gigantic ape-man King Kong was climbing a World Trade Center tower in New York to protect a human woman he loves. However, US jet fighters flew in to fire at him. King Kong got fatally shot and fell from the rooftop of the WTC tower to the ground.

It is said that this movie depicts arrogance of human beings in a pathetic manner.

King Kong loves a human beauty and climbs a WTC tower trying to save her despite attacks by US Air Forces, which may be a laughingstock; but it is the WTC tower that actually fell down to the ground in 2001 (with so many ultimate sacrifices - Amen!).

I am not so sure if this episode is very appropriate or not.

But, a certain notable Japanese author who studied racism, money scandals, political scandals, and scandals in the War on Terror of the U.S. included this episode in his book.

So, what is a good lesson? Do not be a King Kong? Do not fall in love with a beauty in New York? Do not climb a WTC tower? Do not lose to US Air Forces?

Wu Hou is the only Chinese Empress who rose to an imperial throne several years after the death of her husband, an Emperor. In other words, she is the only Madam Emperor in Chinese history, though debatable for some.

("Wu" means force of arms; "Hou" means a queen or an empress.)

She reigned from A.D. 690 to 705 in the Tang dynasty.

There are many reports on cruelty conducted under her reign. But, Chinese imperial history had been and was full of atrocities. She was not the worst Emperor at all.

On the contrary, she was nice to Japan. As she was so nice to Japan, it looks as though God set a lady at the Chinese throne when Japan was in its testing time.

In 663, Japan and China made their first full-scale war in the history on the Korean Peninsula for hegemony over a certain country therein. And Japan was defeated. Since then, for decades, Japan faced various serious situations, though Tang military did not advance to occupy Japan.

(In those days, the samurai class was not yet established in Japan.)

Even during this war, Wo Hou was actually in charge of Tang's politics, because her husband was ill.

It is during her reign and de facto reign in Tang that Japan changed its name from "Wa" to "Nippon" (Japan) and its chief's title from "Dai-ou" (great king) to "Ten-nou" (emperor), in order to gain more respect both domestically and internationally and thus recover from the lost war against Tang, while keeping complete independence from Tang.

As the only super-power in East Asia then, China could have rejected official recognition of such changes in the name of the country and its leader's title. However, the changes were remarkably smoothly accepted.

Unless China's Emperor was a lady who was especially pleased with sophiscated envoys sent off by the Imperial (Yamato) Court of Japan in 702, things might have gone wrong for Japan.

But, the fact is that China had at that age a Madam Emperor as the first and the last case in its long history.

If you believe in accidentalism and fatalism, while neglecting causality and logicality, a question such as why the Messiah was born at a certain time may not be your concern. However, you may still live under holy certainty supported by holy causality and logicality.

Specifically, in a generation after the well-known episodes centered on relationships between Cleopatra, Caesar, and Antonio, Jesus Christ was born.

(Why was not Jesus Christ born in Rome or Egypt to make things settled at one dash, for example, by taking charge of the Roman Empire and Cleopatra at the same time?)

King Herod's father went out to see Caesar and got his support for governing Judea.

And then, during the last years of King Herod of ancient Israel, Jesus Christ was born among Israelites according to prophets of Daniel or God's promise to descendants of Abraham.

I do not think that God chose that time by chance.

1) King Herod, as a representative of descendants of Abraham, completely forgot glory of his tribe, more than fully surrendering to the Roman Empire.

2) The Roman Empire had its first Emperor, which indicated a change in a certain character of the empire that could not make the world any safer. An Emperor in Rome vs. the Messiah in Jerusalem seemed to well match, though from a human point of view.

3) As Jesus Christ never mentioned Pyramid, Cleopatra, and those drastic wars fought in the eastern Mediterranean just preceding His birth, it is apparent that He did not like those historic events and monument.

You have to explain an implicit relationship betweeen Cleopatra and Jesus Christ, not between Mary of Magdala and Jesus Christ, as the sequence of events was clearly connected around true A.D. 0 or the so-called 1 minus.

For Jesus Christ to be born at the age itself saved the world under the threat of destructive civilization of the Roman Empire.

It even paved the great way for future birth of Islam 600 years later which succedded in suppressing mighty Persia.

I was embarrassed to see Mr. Anderson Cooper of CNN get embarrassed on his interview with Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

It was more embarrassing to see Mr. Cooper remain embarrassed after the interview.

Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton's being a future President of the U.S. is, of course, one possibility at present.

What I am afraid is that if Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton is defeated in the coming presidential election, dignity of America might be influenced, though partly, negatively.

Terrorists hiding in the Islamic world might further lose respect to their archrival, the U.S., if an ex-First Lady looses her face in real politics.

Ms. Maria Sharapova was recently defeated by Ms. Serena Williams in Australia, though Maria, an inhabitant in the U.S., has kept her ranking, No.1 among female tennis players in the world.

Maria is now in Tokyo, preparing herself for matches including one against, probably, Ms. Martina Hingis.

Maria has had many interviews by Japanese media who love her popularity in Japan.

Though she hinted, in an interview, that she thought she was more matured than other 19 years old girls due to her endeavor to be a top athlete, she carries a kind of a felling idyllic.

Then, land prices will fall, business will be declining, and jobs will be lost in the U.S.

In a certain newspaper released today in Japan, a summarized editorial of a certain newspaper of Saudi Arabia was introduced.

It argued that the U.S. had invaded Iraq on false grounds; the U.S. should have had effective plans to administrate and police Iraq after its surrender; and immediate pull-out of U.S. troops would extend conflicts and battles to the entire Arab regions.

North Korea was supported by China and the USSR in the Korean War in 1950's; and thus the U.S. could not win a complete victory.

North Vietnam was supported by China and the USSR, while being linked in various negative ways with the adjacent turmoil country Cambodia, in 1960's and early 70's; and thus the U.S. could not gain victory at all.

Iraq is directly surrounded by Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, etc., each of which seems to support different party in Iraq; and thus U.S. might not be able to get any kind of victories it wishes.

Nonetheless, this time, Saudi Arabia along with Kuwait, etc. is, unlike China and the USSR in the past, actually an allied country for the U.S.

More specifically, it seems to be Saudi Arabia along with Kuwait, etc. that will decide the ultimate fate and outcome of the U.S. military operations and presence in Iraq.

It seems that the U.S. cannot withdraw its troops from Iraq, leaving Saudi Arabia along with Kuwait, etc. vulnerable under military threat of hostile parties, without mentioning crude oil to be secured against the hostile parties.

There are many opinions on this issue in the U.S. as well as in the world.

But, if the surrounding countries and warring parties in Iraq do not mind possibility of the continuation of the present situation, with scores of civilian casualties per day, further for a decade or more, I am afraid that situations would follow their will despite wish of U.S. voters, taxpayers, and consumers.

But, will U.S. citizens really accept it, as long as Saudi Arabia along with Kuwait, etc. cooperates with the U.S. in preventing occurrence of another 9/11 terror on the mainland of the U.S.?

Mankind has so far found only four types of force (gravity, the strong nuclear force, the weak nuclear force, and the electromagnetic force), each of which causes specific interaction between entities in the universe, say an atom, an electron, and more elementary particles building an atom and having mass or charge.

Top scientists have been trying to unify all these forces and understand what happened on the Big Bang, the beginning of the universe.

My concern here is about the two among the four: gravity and the electromagnetic force.

The former necessarily works on, and is generated by, mass; and the latter is free and does not work on mass itself.

Energy of light is not interfered with by gravity.

If you shed light onto an atom or an electron, its mass does not increase. Sunshine does not increase your weight.

It is also difficult to convert mass into light, probably, except in cases such as a nuclear fusion, of which principle is applied to a hydrogen bomb, amd a collision of an electron with an antielectron.

An entity with big mass can change a course of flying light; but it is because mass can distort space in which light is flying, as predicted by Albert Einstein.

Gravity and light dos not interact with each other directly.

You cannot nullify the effect of gravity by use of light; and essentially, light is not influenced by force of gravity.

They are independent. They are orthogonal against each other.

A sheer horizontal force in space cannot interact with a sheer vertical force.

Gravity is vertical and light is horizontal, while "space" itself is a more fundamental physical element than mass and light; or rather "space" is a source of the four types of interaction in the universe.

My idea is roughly that the whole universe is made of a table-cloth type of space.

If, at one location or point on the table cloth, there is a small dent in the vertical direction, we call it mass. Moving the dent while keeping its three-dimensional shape across the table cloth needs a mechanical power due to a kind of friction.

If a small, regional, and horizontal pattern is on the table cloth, we call it light. Moving the pattern while keeping its shape across the table needs no mechanical power, since no friction happens as the pattern is just horizontally skidding over the surface like a skating on an ice rink.

Gravity is vertical, light is horizontal, and other two different forces in the universe have their own direction for interaction respectively. That is why there are four "independent" forces in the universe.

As their direction of existence on space is each orthogonal, or a kind of 90 degree crossing, they do not interfere with one another.

Therefore, there must be four "independent" directions in space of this universe, each orthogonal to one another.

(The space is "three dimensional (3D)" geometrically, but the 3D structure simply represents "one direction," or directions are over-lapped or intangible on the 3D phase of space. The geometry for these "directions" is different from the conventional geometry based on "dimensions."

Therefore, terms such as "directions," "horizontal," "vertical," and "90 degrees" are rather conceptional.)

The whole universe is a kind of a table cloth with an uncountable number of various dents (mass) vertically as well as an unlimited number of patterns (light) horizontally, which follows the relationships like the follwoing:

F(gravity) + F(light) = F

Now, in a human psychological and social space, there are also "directions."

If you go vertically, friction is generated. If you skid horizontally, no friction is generated against people around you regardless of races and religions (though it is far better to discuss anything openly with sound passion).

In this context, we may be able to understand why Jesus Christ behaved so mysteriously after His resurrection.

He changed his mode of existence from a vertical manner to a horizontal manner, which might have allowed Him even to get through a door of a room without being noticed by His followers who were hiding in the room after the so-called His death on a cross.

Angels are living in a horizontal direction; maybe a newborn baby is, too.

Getting older, people mostly tend to become more vertical.

However, as we live in this physical space, an old thing with accumulated vertical and horizontal effects is sometimes more valuable, like in a case with wine.

However, he said to get on the alert and read a trend of the world just like we predict tomorrow's weather based on a condition of today's sky.

There are already a few products, such as a wrist watch, to which this technology is applied, though not so popular yet.

Recently Mr. Al Gore visited Japan for promoting his movie on conservation of the world environment and prevention of green-house gas emission.

Almost at the same time, Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton announced her entry in 2008 Presidential Race.

I wonder how many people who can better serve the nation than any other incumbent politicians are in the United Sates.

An order of millions or not?

In Japan, a shock and a commotion ran Sunday night in the political community.

A new governor was elected in a certain prefecture (with a population of 1.2 million) in western Japan where a former governor had been arrested for some scandals and forced to resign.

The new governor is a middle-aged ex-entertainer who had once put a halt to his show business after some scandals and entered a university in Tokyo, his playing field, to learn local governing; then having dropped out of the university last March, he ran for the emergent governorship race in his home prefecture this January and won on Sunday night, making forecast of all the media helplessly wrong.

Other two hopeful candidates, supported directly or indirectly by the two major political parties in Japan, the Liberal Democratic Party and the Democratic Party of Japan, lost to the entertainer.

The parties have lost face as with those candidates, each a guaranteed ex-elite bureaucrat.

(The report mentions Japanese Government's "Cool Biz policy in 2005, under which offices save energy by keeping summer temperatures at a stifling 82.4°F (28°C)," which was promoted on the initiative of then woman Environment Minister whose charm seemed to nicely contribute to bureaucrats' compliance.)

This might be simple coincidence. But, Mr. Al Gore should be encouraged to pursue environment protection in the world regardless of his possible presidential candidacy for 2008.

As for green-house gas emission, people should stop burning naively fossil fuels as soon as possible, or introduce advanced technology to significantly reduce CO2 emission from power generators.

(China should become a pro-Japan country. It is really ages ago that Mao Tse-tung failed in boosting steel production in China after WWII, while China is now the No.1 crude-steel producer country, due to technical and financial support from Japan for decades, with 350 million tons of production followed by Japan with 110 million tons in the whole-world production of 1.13 billion tons.)

- A journalist in Turk was assassinated. His article about conflicts between Ottoman Turks and Armenians, which occurred in the late 19th century sacrificing 300,000 people, touched off a serious argument in Turk.

(Turk is a pro-Japan country. We hope that justice will be surely done in Turk.)

- Staff of U.S. Department of Homeland Security is going to be stationed in Narita Airport, Japan, based on agreement between the Governments of Japan and the U.S.

(America has been regarded as a pro-Japan country for decades. However, a certain influential writer in Japan wrote, in his well-known book, that he would never visit the U.S., for he does not like to provide his personal information, including his finger prints, for US authorities concerned. )

(Jesus Christ said to people that unless they have never committed a sin, they should not sling a stone at a woman under an accusation to execute her.

This mandatory rule applies to any cases.

You should not stone and execute white, privileged, student athletes in any universities as well as African American young women in any professions, since the existence of such categories itself is a sin of the society which makes all the members of the society a sinner [though, to a different extent according to wealth one has].

The issue is devising and implementing a solution to nullify adversary effects of the existence of such categories in the society.

And the best solution is to understand how much the whole society, including European Americans who control the American economy, owes Jesus Christ and thus has to follow his teaching, that is, not to execute anybody since you are also a sinner.)

Peter Jennings left this world earlier than Saddam Hussein.

There is one journalist in Japan who ventured to visit the site where the late President of Iraq had been hiding when he had been captured by US troops.

The underground, small cell was still there.

He was a notable journalist who once successfully criticized the president of NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) for various scandals, which finally led to the president's resignation.

But the journalist sometime after having returned home from Iraq got hospitalized for surgery; he blessedly recovered and appears regularly on TV nowadays.

Somebody said that Jews killed Jesus Christ. They also talked about slavery.

American news programs viewed in morning business hours in Japan might not get a wide audience base; yet it must provide valuable information for those working in Japan's news sector and probably its education sector.

Yet, US religions, slavery, and gender are especially very remote issues here.

Indeed, it was reported in the Bible that Jesus Christ had been almost killed in his home town when people had surrounded Him on a cliff. Eventually Jesus Christ had walked through and left them who, driven by malicious passions, had tried to push Him off.

Then, as everybody knows, the so called high priests of the Jewish society 2000 years ago made an accusation about Him to a Roman Governor who eventually ordered his soldiers to crucify Him.

According to these reports, it seems that there were some Jews who were determined to take Jesus Christ's life but could not for specific reasons, and thus resorted to Roman army of occupation.

If majority or significant part of Jewish population then had joined the plot, they should not have troubled the Roman Governor.

Jesus Christ was not crucified under the name of the Jewish tribe which had been for generations under occupation of the Roman Empire.

The Roman Governor had a decisive power in this case, since he could have also killed any Jews at his will, including those who had made an accusation about Jesus Christ. Under the name of the Roman Empire, the Governor formally killed Jesus Christ.

It is noteworthy that some Jews who became an enemy of Jesus Christ and His followers had no capability to attack Him and His followers as well as the Roman Governor; they were absolutely deprived of armed might, probably, due to so many secret and strong followers of Jesus Christ among their tribe.

And, the present European and American civilization is a successor of the Roman Empire. The civilization has to carry the glory and the sin of its parent Empire, if a certain criterion is applied.

Following the criterion, ancestors of present European and American civilization killed Jesus Christ. (But, it is quite correct to say that mankind killed Jesus Christ.)

Nonetheless, I believe that if you had been a cool Roman Governor of Judea 2000 years ago, you would have naturally laughed at those Jews who had taken a legal action against Jesus Christ without arms, and rather provided Him with an elite platoon to protect Him.

It is a matter of the Jewish society 2000 year ago, in which Jesus Christ had decided to live as a member. We should not judge it unless we are a member of the society of the very age. In addition, behind the high priests in bad faith, there might have been some unknown pagans who are still unknown to date.

Without Jews who honestly believed in Jesus Christ 2000 year ago, mankind should have completely failed in following, praising, and honoring God.

Though the Jewish community of the age as a whole did not decide to follow Jesus Christ, some of them saved the whole mankind of future generations by believing in Him personally respectively.

Accordingly, the faith and belief in Jesus Christ became an individual matter since then, not as a religion of a race, a tribe, or a society.

Jesus Christ was killed by the Roman Governor who accepted, though he could have denied, a request by some people with wealth, social status, and religious fame rather than, say, by His countrymen. (You might as well say that rich, high-class, and religious people killed Jesus Christ.)

Consequently the Roman Empire was later forced to become a Christian Empire; the Pope in Rome even today plays a role of a Roman Emperor, on behalf of the European/American civilization, who shows his surrender and apology to Jesus Christ incessantly.

It tells who killed Jesus Christ 2000 years ago.

On the other hand, Israelites, some of whose ancestors became the first followers of Jesus Christ, are still allowed to exercise traditional rituals of their tribe completely and freely, which is the greatest reward that any tribe in history has been given by God Almighty.

My impression about all these arguments is that how Jesus Christ could keep His temper while mankind is still using his name in combination with those horrible words such as "kill."

One author described that the damages of the Kobe City reminded him of US air bombardment in WWII.

On January 17, 1994, the Northridge earthquake occurred in California, sacrificing precious 57 lives and injuring 5,400 people.

On January 17, 1991, the Persian Gulf War began.

We do not know when a great earthquake will hit Tokyo in future.

We did not know the day and hour when the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990 began and the large-scale terror on the mainland of America in 2001 started.

Nonetheless, there is no excuse for us; we have to enhance preparedness for potential disasters as well as efforts for comprehensive peace with parties and countries concerned.

From Indonesia to Turk, Muslims have been suffering severely beyond imagination of citizens of advanced countries.

They also suffered terror such as Bali bombings in 2002 and 2005, Istanbul bombings in 2004, and Mumbai bombings in 2006.

Those incidents seem to have been coincident with terrorist movement in those areas and actual acts of terror in target countries as well as related operations by countries concerned including the U.S.

It is not only a continental draft of the Indian Subcontinent toward the north, pushing up the Asian Continent and building the Himalaya Mountains, but also the lack of help and support to prepare for disasters that should be perceived.

If the U.S. and EU continue to leave and neglect Muslims in those disaster-torn regions in tragedy, anything horrible, I am afraid, such as terror might be directed, in the worst case, to them as they experienced in the US East Coast in 2001, Madrid in 2004, and London in 2005.

You have to read and comprehend holy codes hidden in the above historic record of disasters in the regions that may be potentially more concerned with US and EU security than Iraq is.

"MUHAMMAD ALI: His Life and Times" by Thomas Hauser, published in 1991, was translated into Japanese and divided into two parts, each of which is sold separately.

I recently bought its second part, consisting of 441 pages including foot notes, at 1200 yen (US$10), which was renewed for pocket editions in 2005.

It would cost more if we buy an original and imported version of the book written in English.

Most of Japanese people read famous American books in their Japanese versions for various reasons, including prices and difficulties in reading English.

One interesting report contained in the book is that one of close associates of Mr. Muhammad Ali once said, before a match, that a Muslim was for the first time in history going to fight a Christian on the ring. And, Mr. Ali won.

The issue is whether this kind of facts on Mr. Ali has had significant influence on young Muslims all over the world up to this day.

It is not so very rare to spot African Americans in Japan, partly due to existence of US military bases in Japan. Generally speaking, they look like well respecting the Japanese society.

Perhaps they could see the difference in various human aspects, such as distinction between a Christian and a Muslim among their races which Japanese cannot easily.

My belief is that God admits Japanese as he does with Christians and Muslims regardless of their races.

Besides, if the ancient Persian Empire had defeated the ancient Greek Coalition, there would not have been Alexander the Great as well as the Roman Empire; and thus neither European dominance nor discovery of New Continents by Europeans.

Therefore, my belief is that God admits Japanese as he does with European Americans and African Americans regardless of their religions.

Mr. Muhammad Ali is still very famous in Japan, mostly because he symbolizes super success of an individual in whatever profession, especially in America.

Or, whatever race or religion he belongs to, worldly success itself might matter to most of Japanese.

Conversely, whatever race or religion a saint belongs to, spiritual authority itself might matter to most of Japanese.

If God is pleased with Japanese and Mr. Muhammad Ali, we assume that there are no problems between Japan and African Americans, and Japan and Muslims.

(In conclusion, we have to symbolize something valuable to succeed even if God promises our success.)

The USS atomic-powered submarine Newport News (6,000 tons, 110m) hit the Japanese super-tanker Mogami-Gawa (300,000 tons, 333m) at Strait of Hormuz of the Persian Gulf on January 8, 2007.

In the worst case, it could have resulted in a large scale of oil spill in addition to a disastrous fire on the sea, which might hamper navigation of tankers delivering crude oils to the world market.

(The Mogami-Gawa, one of three or more tankers passing through the Hormuz straits specifically to Japan per day, was carrying an amount of oil equivalent to a half of that consumed per day in Japan.)

This incident instantly reminded me of the collision between a Japanese fisheries-high-school's training ship named Ehimemaru and the USS Greeneville, of the same class as the Newport News, that occurred off the Oahu Island, Hawaii, on February 10, 2001, taking nine Japanese lives.

And, actually as prophesized, though regarded as by chance, the War on Terror has been still going on, taking many lives of various parties and nationalities.

The speculation on the recent naval incident is that the USS Newport News was then being dispatched to the sea area off Somalia while US fighter-bombers were attacking an Al-Qaeda base in the civil-war-torn country.

Nonetheless, Somalia is not the only focus in this context; we are inevitably aware of presence of Iran near the Strait of Hormuz.

In the story of “Moby Dick,” Captain Ahab of a whaling ship Ishmael got on board was chasing and pursing the white whale called Moby Dick.

It may be read as Arabs are aiming at the "White House," in which a president nicknamed "W" resides and a vice president called "Dick" works, while "Islam" and "Israel" are involved in a historical context.

And, to make the long story short, Captain Ahab and his companies finally failed in killing Moby Dick while the whailing ship was destroyed by the gigantic white whale, and one Ishmael alone got rescued by another ship.

It means, as a prophecy of my version, that Arabs attacking the White House would finally fail and their organization would be destroyed; yet, the nation Israel and the great religious community Islam will survive.

But, most astonishing thing is that this revelation was brought with the Ehimemaru tragedy near the Pearl Harbor in early 2001, reminding us of the lightening strikes of Imperial Japan's Navy on US Navy fleets, in the naval port in Hawaii, 60 years ago.

Subsequently, Washington D.C. and the New York City were attacked in the kamikaze style by some Arabs on September 11, 2001.

Early this year, again, a USS submarine hit a Japanese ship.

This time not off the Pearl Harbor, but it happened at the strategically most important strait in the world: the Strait of Hormuz of the Persian Gulf.

However, no injury and loss of life as well as leakage of oil were reported.

Yet, we have to take this as another warning from Heaven.

Both the U.S. and the Islamic Republic of Iran should take it as such.

The name of the tanker damaged, though minor, "Mogami-Gawa," is taken from one of famous rivers in Japan. The meaning of Kanji characters used to express "Mogami-Gawa" is the best and top river.

The flow of crude oil from the Middle East to Japan should not be interrupted and stopped by any military operations by the U.S. and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which might be the warning from Almighty God and Allah after all.

You should not interrupt and stop any holy missions now being carried out and delivered here and there.

Recently Mr. Bill Gates accepted an interview and said:

"If you want to point to why the Windows PC has become such a successful, central thing, that enabling of partners, including all those great hardware partners, I'd say that's been very big. Here you see Toshiba doing SideShow (a Vista feature that enables a secondary display). You see Sony doing this beautiful Media Center, living room-type device. You see HP bringing in this touch-screen capability on a very nice form factor... "

You can enjoy contents and functions of advanced equipment. Such equipment consists of hardware whose control needs complicated and accurate procedures and operations only software can perform in a very short time.

Hardware can be easily replaced with other maker's, but a type of basic software cannot. It is because electronic formats of contents would be uniquely based on each maker's software unless comprehensive standard is forcibly adopted by the industry. If a dominant software maker refuses to accept such a standard, users cannot use old files in a different maker's software system which might be cheaper and more efficient.

(Just like you cannot buy and use another TV set that cannot receive a presently most popular broadcast frequency or channel.)

Users want to use a great amount of old files; Microsoft seems to have refused to adopt universal standards on file formats and other functions; and Japanese hardware makers cannot effectively offer more user-friendly solutions (except the TRON embedded OS project), but continue to design PCs that can only work with the Windows operating system.

Nonetheless, why are not a number of Windows-compatible operating systems being designed and produced by various software makers in this free and democratic world?

Accordingly, Mr. Bill Gates has become the richest man in the world.

However, when he was interviewed with in person by the late Peter Jennings in his home in Washington State, Mr. Bill Gates did not even look like the richest man in the United States.

(I suppose the interview was conducted just after or before Peter Jennings' coverage tour to Iraq in 2003 or 2004, where he encountered very nearly shootings between US troops and insurgents.)

It might because Peter Jennings was not in excellent physical condition that his attitude toward Mr. Bill Gates looked a little too cool while the billionaire was showing the famous anchorman around his home with full of IT systems.

Software is not a "king" in the IT system. But, users are as with other consumer goods. Further, public information even as goods is a little more different.

When the society is hit just like 9/11 terror attacks in 2001, it is an excellent anchorman that can calm down people as well as situations through his "presidential" manners but not super-rich IT industry leaders.

A profession that is accompanied with some human value is more valuable than a profession that is concerned only with monetary value at its core.

The 9/11 terror attacks in 2001 forced Peter Jennings to perform his duty in front of a camera under a specific pressure for very long, contiguous hours, which might have tested his health with a delayed effect leading to his death in August, 2005.

I don't know how they tested Windows OS, apart from the Internet designed for specific flexibility, on the day.

Now, how were you tested on the very day that is September 11, 2001?

Yukichi Fukuzawa (1835-1901), an extremely influential and notable, historical person of culture, introduced many Western works, such as "Declaration of Independence," to Japan which was then on its way to westernization in the 19th century.

He also introduced European and American jokes in his book published in Japan in 1893, such as follows:

"One day, parents wanted to see what their boy had an aptitude for. They handed to the boy the Bible, a hundred-dollar bill, and an apple. Then they went out for some time, leaving the boy alone. When they returned home, they thought, if the boy was reading the Bible, they would advise him to become a priest; if he was playing with the hundred-dollar bill, they would encourage him to become a banker; but if he was eating the apple, they would probably have to expect him to be a farmer or something like that. When they returned home, they found the boy with the bill inside a pocket, sitting on the Bible, and munching the apple. The parents then believed that they could make a politician of the boy."

Contemporary Americans may also like to test their children with the Bible, a hundred-dollar bill, and an apple, too.

America today, like 100 years ago, seems to be full of priests, financial sector workers, and apple-pie eaters in addition to real and virtual politicians.

No parents want their children to volunteer for military service unless it is the only way for them to be recognized as a patriot. On the other hand, the Defense Department or the War Department would not mind an aptitude of a boy for soldiers in wartime.

But the true issue is, as the joke could be regarded as implying, whether a politician has an aptitude for leading the people while he most probably lacks faith, honesty, and manners among the people.

I do not think highly of public estimation such as "a man of integrity."

In the half part of his life, Yukichi Fukuzawa was a samurai. In 1860, as a member of an envoy of the Tokugawa samurai regime, he visited the U.S. They were taken into a photo as presented in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fukuzawa_Yukichi.

It was said that Yukichi Fukuzawa had been the supreme master of swordplay, which could be felt in his picture as a samurai, though no reports on his fight with a sword. Today, he is remembered as a pioneering author as well as the founder of the Keio University.

A boy who might become a Fukuzawa would, when left alone in home, soon start to read his favorite book, such as a biography of George Washington, without paying much attention to other luxuries.
