In 1875, then British premier Benjamin Disraeli (1804 – 1881) obtained a short-term loan from Lionel de Rothschild in order to purchase 44% of the shares of the Suez Canal Company, which was actually £4 million.

It is said the wealthiest person in the British history is Queen Victoria (1837-1901), since her personal assets totaled £5 million.

But, in 1818 the Rothschild bank had already arranged a £5 million loan to the Prussian government and the issuing of bonds for government loans.

Therefore, the Rothschild family in London had apparently more money than British Queen in the late 19th century, at least.

Accordingly, Rothschilds' being Judaists did not matter at all to the monarch and the government of the United Kingdom so long as they could use Rothschilds' money as need arose.

So, in this example of the House of Rothschild in London, it is the Christian monarch and the Christian Government that were in a dependent position without complaints, since such a huge fund could be at their hand from the Rothschild family very easily and legally while shutting up other European Christian governments.

It is the Christian monarch and the Christian Government that have not minded the difference in religion at all if huge money is involved, though it is the Rothschilds that have had super assets.

Conversely, if the Christian monarch and the Christian Government had questioned religion of their financier so as to alienate any non-Christian super-wealthy clan observing non-Christian religion, there should not have been such an extravagant success of the House of Rothschild and Judaist Americans of today.

However, is this kind of behavior of the British Government and the American Government very Christian?

If no Judaists, including the Rothschild clan, had had no ability to make a big fortune, what should have happened to them in England and America?

(From a religious point of view, however, it might be concluded that the Anglo-Saxons are closer to Judaism than any other Christian tribes in Europe.)

SECTION I: Not the 2016 Chicago Olympics But the 2009 Nobel Prize

President Mr. Barack Obama's failure at Copenhagen for the dream of the 2016 Chicago Olympics has, however, resulted in his unforeseen success in securing big support from Europe, in the form of Nobel Peace Prize.

It has also revealed how much Europeans are disappointed with Wall-Street driven America.

So many workers in Europe, from Ireland to Poland over to Russia have had dreadful experiences over the past year due to the Wall-Street-triggered global financial crisis.

It has also revealed how much Europeans are afraid of possible expansion of the War on Terror.

There are so many Muslims deeply rooted in European societies. The bloody terror in London and Madrid several years ago cannot be forgotten. The nation wide violent protests by Islamic youths in France a few years ago cannot be forgotten. Europeans want President Mr. Obama not to follow suit after former President Mr. George W. Bush.

The cost for awarding President Mr. Obama the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize is far better to bear than expected costs for suffering another global financial crisis and more acts of terror in Europe.

Now, Mr. Barack Obama might be able to view the 2012 President Election from a different angle.

In addition, Japanese people really want President Mr. Obama to visit Hiroshima or Nagasaki, as they deeply feel something to this decision by the Nobel Prize Committee.

And the Japanese author found a connection with Rothschilds in all these prominent Judaist figures.

He wrote that most of rich people in America and Europe know that they cannot make a huge fortune without relying on these people.

Apart from any conventional conspiracy theories since the Middle Ages, the point at issue here is of course as to whether there is any inevitability of their being Judaists, including Rothschilds.

Could there be any possibility or chance that they could be simply Christians, while they have been leading globalization of economy and pursuing the unscrupulous acquisition of money?

If they were all Christians, would they change their way of working, following other code of conduct in the financial sector, the government sector, and political circles?

Or conversely, as they have huge money and privileges, is there any need for them to continue to be Judaists? With such huge wealth, does religion still matter for them?

But if you still like to put it this way, does Judaism, 2000 years after the fall of Jerusalem and 4000 years after Abraham, inevitably have to generate all this kind of people who were in decisive positions responsible for the global financial crisis in 2008?

So, President Mr. Barack Obama should distribute "medicine tickets," like food stamps, each worth 100 dollars to every poor citizen for free as the first step.

A poor and sick man can bring the ticket to a hospital to receive medicine or treatment that costs 100 dollars　or more.

The total amount of the budget needed for this scheme is just 5 billion dollars, a portion of money the U.S. Government spent for the GM and AIG rescue operations.

Answer:
1. There is a Positive Commandment in the Torah to lend money to anyone who needs it. This applies, whether the recipient is a wealthy person who is having a cash-flow problem, or a poor person, according to the financial ability of the lender, and for as long as possible. Lending objects is not a specific, individual Mitzvah, rather it is included in the general Mitzvah of being kind to others.

The Mitzvah to lend money is even greater than the Mitzvah to give Tzedakah, because a person is much less embarrassed to receive a loan than to receive Tzedakah. Also, by giving a loan you can help a borrower retain control over his business investments and give him the opportunity to stand on his own two feet and not have to accept hand-outs from others.


2. The lender has a right to demand proper collateral for his loan to guarantee that it will be paid back in a timely manner. If the lender is not satisfied with the guarantees provided, he has no obligation to lend, even if the borrower is a poor person. It is essential that a person keep in mind when faced with this situation that all of his actions must be L'Shem Shomayim (For The Sake Of Heaven).

A mighty typhoon is now passing transversely across Honsyu Island, the main island of Japan, southwest to the northeast.

It has however avoided directly hitting Tokyo, moving north of the Kanto Plain or the Tokyo Area.

SECTION I: Christianity and Money

In any society, inherent ethics restrict the way people become rich and happy.

In any society of mankind, no one is taught to earn money through whatever means, including robbery, fraud, intimidation, or violence.

The concepts, justice, harmony, and friendship, are common in any society of any tribes in any races.

In ancient societies, being rich and happy was directly linked with concrete activities and labor in fields or humble lodges to obtain concrete elements of happiness and riches, that is, foods, houses, social ranks based on seniority criterion, and physical strength or spiritual merits, which are all very humane. Accordingly, inherent ethics restricted very effectively the way people became rich and happy.

Above inherent ethics of an ancient tribe, there were also gods who restricted the way people became rich and happy.

However, with introduction of money economy, things changed drastically in most of human societies in the world.

When money economy started to prevail in China around 500 B.C., Confucius appeared there.

When money economy started to prevail in India around 500 B.C., the Buddha appeared there.

After money economy started to prevail in Palestine or around Jerusalem through the era of Caesar and Cleopatra, Jesus Christ appeared there as so expected.

Indeed, introduction of money needed stronger restriction on human desire for happiness and riches so as to maintain peace in society.

As the Roman Empire had not such a stronger unique religion, it had to introduce or import such a religion even from Palestine, which was actually Christianity.

So, the balance was somehow maintained in ancient China, ancient India, and the Roman Empire between a new religious movement and a new money economy of their era, respectively

Especially, the role of Christianity was important, since European Civilization turned to be the most powerful civilization in terms of material science and technology.

So, looking at the European Civilization leading the world today, the balance between Christianity and the money economy is the most decisive factor for the future of mankind.

Of course, to suppress the evil of the money economy, we had better mobilize power of Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, and Hinduism if possible at all.



SECTION II: Christ View on Money

If a poor man can be saved by making himself rich, Jesus Christ must have taught his disciples and all the poor people how to earn big money.

But, as being rich means making some others poor or unhappy, Jesus Christ never told people to make big money if they wanted to be saved.

Do Not Put New Blood into Old Business


If China had closed the door and severed trade relations with outer world as extension of the Cold War to date, Japan should not suffer deflation today.

There are hundreds of large enterprises in Japan that have been functioning well with many employees, like Toyota, Panasonic, and Mitsubishi. So, huge revenues from corporate tax and income tax must support the Government in maintaining its balance sheet in black.

But, global and domestic competition forced Japanese companies, especially those exporting goods, to utilize cheap labor forces in China. From late 1970's Japanese makers started to build many factories in China, employing many Chinese workers while introducing technologies into China.

Accordingly, the price level in Japan got lower, and the salary level of ordinary Japanese workers (except elite employees and experts) was also significantly influenced to a lower level.

As there are hundreds of millions of workers in China who work at half, one third, or 10% of the salary compared with Japanese workers, wages and prices in the Japanese market have to receive a very strong downward pressure, resulting in less tax revenue for the Japanese Government.

This is a big difference from America and Europe that are not directly linked with hundreds of millions of cheap labor forces in China.

But, the Japanese Government has to exercise its budgets, paying out for costs of manpower and products in the closed Japanese society with traditional value systems. Targets of government expenses are not fully at the discounted level due to the Chinese linkage with the Japanese economy.

So, Japanese workers receive less and less wages due to the Chinese linkage; the Government receives less and less tax payments; yet the Government must use taxpayers' money for still a traditional cost level of Japanese manpower, products, and services, leading to huge deficits.

This is other aspect of the truth of deflation in Japan.

But, who wanted China to open the door to the world since late 1970's? Japanese businesses.

SECTION I: Christianity and Capitalism

It is important that Christianity was established in the society where money was widely used.

It is more important that the Bible was written in the society where money was widely used.

It is so, since capitalism is impossible without money, the most revolutionary but poisonous invention by mankind.

Christianity was not formed in the society between the fall of the Roam Empire and the Renaissance, the period when the money economy widely shrank.

And, Jesus Christ did not teach His disciples how to be rich. Rather, He apparently regarded money as something dangerous. Accordingly, capitalism was impossible in the world governed by His teaching.

Even, the Vatican and Christian monarchs did not support the idea of capitalism for a very long time in Europe.

There are some interesting news reports:
- As Tokyo City failed in winning a right to hold the 2016 Olympics, the Tokyo Prefecture Government has now at hand a $4 billion or more (400 billion yen) fund reserved for the Olympic related projects. Tokyo Governor Mr. Shintaro Iashihara should invest this fund into earthquake strengthening and/or anti-flood projects for Tokyo streets.

- South India was attacked by heavy rains a few days ago, resulting in 2.5 million people in a state of homelessness. Indonesia was also recently attacked by a heavy earthquake while the number of victims and casualties is yet to be identified, though estimated as close to 10,000.

- Some notable businessmen and politicians recently expressed in Japan their concerns about the double dip of economy. In the U.S., the employment situation is not expected to be improved even in the next year. It is apparent that G20 and G2 cannot work to save the global economy. Financial and monetary arrangements among G7 are a key to recovery, especially if such agreements are done in favor of Japan, since it is still Japanese money that has saved Wall Street businesses over the past year.

Indeed, in the middle of horrible incidents in the nature and in human economy, not enough people are yet to come to revere the God, globally, though in the aftermath of hard election Edward Kennedy died in the U.S. and Shoichiro Nakagawa, a former Finance Minister and younger friend of former Prime Minister Mr. Taro Aso, died in Japan.

Anyway, life is wonderful for a man with full of adventures, if you are pious or not in Iraq or Afghanistan, fatefully.



SECTION I: Christianity, Art, Science, and Technology

I do not like Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519), do not respect him, and never try to follow him.

However, it is necessary to regard hims as a non-missing link between mid-age Christian cultural traditions and technological development into modern Europe.

Yet, it is believed that as the Islamic world had well preserved legacies from the ancient Mediterranean civilizations all through the Middle Ages, Europeans could import those cultural legacies of the Greco-Roman Civilization from Arabs when they entered a new era called the Renaissance.

However, without academic and social systems, infrastructures or organizations built and operated under authority of the Vatican or Christian monarchs or leaders, those legacies imported from the Islamic world could not be well received, studied, and developed in Europe after the Middle Ages. One symbolic person is Leonardo da Vinci.

Even, Isaac Newton (1642-1727) lived and worked in the extension of the above paradigm.

And, the Newtonian mechanics have become the basics for modern engineering.

Even, modern electric engineering is based on the methodology having been cultivated in the study on the Newtonian mechanics.

The legitimacy of the methodology is supported and proved through study of Christianity and its derivative, European philosophy, leading to bold and ambitious pursuit and deployment of modern science and technology.

And, modern technology and science are the source of modern wealth as seen in Europe, America, Japan, and other emerging countries, including China, India, and Indonesia.

Now, the global warming issue is part of vast problems concerned with righteousness in people's application of modern technology and science to satisfying their material desire.

It is so rather than a simple issue of CO2 emission.



SECTION II: Global Warming and the Law of the Conservation of Energy

As I once discussed, the global warming might be related to the total amount of Energy mankind has released to the environment through their industrial and civil activities over years rather than to the physical phenomenon called "CO2 heat-reflection" effect.

It is so, since CO2 is not a source of energy or heat, but it works simply as a kind of mirrors to the ground releasing heat to the air and the space.

If so, it is GDP but not CO2 that must be reduced globally to prevent the global temperature rise.

In other word, as long as mankind has a desire to be materially richer, it cannot avoid the global warming.

Being poor with less goods and services is a key to prevention of the global warming.

Of course to set a celling in each country to the industrially or privately consumed amount of crude oil, coal, and natural gas, which are the source of CO2, is the easiest way to reduce CO2 in the air.

But, it must be practiced as part of efforts to reduce GDP of the world.

One of the books I recently purchased is the one written by a lawyer and his client who was falsely charged with a horrible crime 17 years or so ago when the DNA analysis technology was immature in Japan.

The innocent victim was recently released from a prison due to a new proof based on the latest DNA examination.

But, it was a woman, a stranger to him, rather than lawyers that decisively helped and supported the innocent victim forced to make a false confession by the police who blindly relied on a wrong DNA test result, since she had been also a bus driver for kindergartners and could not believe that the innocent victim of the same profession could murder a young child.

So, any advanced technology must be handled carefully with the fear of God.

They ranked Japan as No.2 for 2007 in terms of IT industry competitive edge.

But, they ranked Japan as No.12 for 2008.

Could it be possible while Lehman Brothers and GM failed in 2008?

No matter how much Europeans and Americans have developed technology and weapons as major application of technologies, it is expected that they can be contained by the teaching of Christianity even in the worst case of their harming people and the nature (except the case of Nazis on European Judaists and of the USSR on insurgent Christians).

But, as for Japan, there is some doubt about such inhibition mechanism.

It is so since modern technology is mostly based on Christianity (and the ancient Mediterranean and Mesopotamian civilizations).

And, that is why Japan had to suffer the lost decade, in terms of GDP, in 1990's, while its potential of technological invention was as strong as that of the U.S.

In order to restrain Japanese businesses from harming souls and minds of the Japanese people as well as the nature and the land, the Japanese economy had to be halted and prevented from applying technology in an ever increasing scale without religious restriction.

It is other aspect of truth of the lost decade of Japan, in terms of GDP, in 1990's.

(As for China, Western religion-rooted socialism and Marxism in their backbone can constrain them even in the worst case scenario of Chinese expansion to peripheral regions leveraging their hi-tech weapons.)

So, it is no wonder that Japan is leading the world today in development of environment-friendly technology, since it is the major, if hidden, theme in 1990's, the era called the lost decade.

This morning, or an hour before, that is around 10 a.m. of Japan Time, a news flash was delivered through a TV channel, informing the audience that former Finance Minister of Japan Mr. Shoichi Nakagawa was found dead at home in Tokyo, the cause of which is yet to be identified according to the police (seemingly no criminal act involved).

Half an hour before I heard this news report, some heaped books in my room suddenly collapsed.

So, I wondered why it happened with some alarming sound. Then, I saw a telop running on the TV screen, telling the tragedy of the former finance minister who had resigned this February due to his mistake on the G7 meeting in Italy.

Mr. Shoichi Nakagawa failed in the 8/30/2009 general election to be reelected as Lower House lawmaker.

So, people in Japan should be shockingly sorry for this tragedy, since Mr. Shoichi Nakagawa has been one of the most prominent LDP politicians.

The labor class accounts for about 60% of the population in Japan, though owners of micro enterprises (with five or less employees) and their family members working in family business are excluded from this class.

So, if 50% or more of labor class members in Japan had abstained from voting and 75% or more of non-labor class members had balloted for the LDP, Mr. Yukio Hatomaya's DPJ could not have won in the 8/30/2009 general election.

If 30 or more among every 80 working class members of the U.S. had joined the upper class constituting 20% of the population who would in large vote for Mr. John McCain, Mr. Barack Obama could not have won in the 2008 Presidential Election.

As of 2008, it is said that there are 9.5 million households in the U.S. each of whom has personal financial assets worth more than one million dollars. The number of these affluent American households was doubled between 1995 and 2007.

In Japan, it is said that there are 1.5 million persons each of whom has personal financial assets worth more than one million dollars (or one hundred million yen). The number of these affluent persons was doubled in these 15 years, further growing.

So, there will be many rich men and their families who will gladly fly to Brazil from Tokyo or Chicago to enjoy the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

But, President Mr. Barack Obama cannot enjoy Olympic Games with his friends in Chicago if he is still U.S. President in 2016.

Yet, it is more difficult to foresee what party will be in charge of the government of Japan in 2016.



SECTION I: Contribution of Hebrews, Israelis, Judaists, and Israelis


Has the God ever told Hebrews, Israelites, Judaists, and Israelis to save the world?

This is a very important question.

It is so, since it is impossible to think that the God ever said to them to prosper and enjoy life neglecting poor and unhappy tribes who do not worship the God in their manner and manners.

However, there is justification: only Hebrews, Israelites, Judaists, and Israelis have been righteous to the eye of the God while other members of mankind are simply worse than them.

And, to your astonishment, this justification can be sustained:

Therefore, Judaists and Israelis should not be blamed at all by Christians.

So, I say that it had been 2000 years from Abraham to Jesus Christ; and it has been also 2000 years from Jesus Christ to "you" living today.

Don't "you" have anything to say to the God Almighty and Lord of Mankind?

If President Mr. Barack Obama had not flown to Copenhagen, American voters must have been more disappointed for the same IOC decision.

So, Prime Minister Mr. Yukio Hatoyama reasonably flew to Copenhagen regardless of the outcome, though Tokyo Prefecture is said to have already spent more than 150 million dollars (15 billion yen) to be elected as the 2016 Olympic venue in vain.

The lesson is that if Spain and Portugal are vying like in the 16th century, Japan and the U.S. had better not be involved, since the Vatican might be behind it, if not U.S. Republicans.

If the IOC should decide that the 2016 Olympic Games should be held in Chicago or other candidate city, Tokyo Governor Mr. Shintaro Ishihara might resign soon after coming back to Tokyo from Copenhagen.

In that case, the Tokyo gubernatorial election will be held in a month or two. It would be other big event of 2009 for 12 million residents in Tokyo Prefecture. The ruling party DPJ and the ex-ruling party LDP will have to be also tested again with their candidates; but who will run?

However, there are almost 50 million Americans who cannot consult a doctor because they cannot pay their doctor bill or have a health insurance company pay their doctor bill. And those 50 million Americans are waiting for President Mr. Barack Obama to set up a public health insurance scheme available for them for free or so. Yet, President Mr. Barack Obama must rally back up from at least 100 million more Americans to realize the scheme, since America has 300 million population.

If the presence of Mr. Barack Obama at Copenhagen turns to be a crucial factor for the decision on the 2016 Olympic Games venue, he would more easily garner support for whatever policy he intends to bring forth through Congress.

So, the fate of 50 million helplessly poor Americans who cannot consult a doctor looks like resting on President Mr. Barack Obama's contending against other candidate-country leaders over playing host to the 2016 Olympics.

Japan's Prime Minister Mr. Yukio Hatoyama should, nonetheless, make his best effort to sustain the Tokyo Governor's spirit as he is going to join the Governor at the IOC assembly soon.

As for me, it is not so bad to go and see the city Chicago where Al Capone and his subordinate Jack Ruby once lived so historically sinfully as reported even here in Japan.

SECTION I: Europe vs. Persia

Europe might have been conquered and occupied by non-European races four times in history: Egyptians, Persians, Huns, and Mongolians.

The only tribe that still claims its potential to militarily compete with European races is Persians or Iranians, since Israel is enjoying huge support from the E.U. and the U.S.

Yet history tells Persia was once or around 500 B.C. the sole ruler of Asia Minor, Egypt, Mesopotamia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan in addition to their home land.

As the period around 500 B.C. is special with Confucius, the Buddha, and the start of editing the Old Testament, the state of the Persian hegemony must have some deep meaning for the human history.

Confucianism, Buddhism, and the Old Testament have still significant influence on people in the world, but this Persian Empire or Achaemenid Empire (558–330 BC) seems to have completely lost its glory.

But, my theory is that this Persian Empire was so powerful as it conquered both Egypt and Mesopotamia. It must have had a potential to destroy both the Hebrew culture and the Greek Civilization. However, the God did not allow Persians to do so; rather He had Alexander the Great defeat Persians, since Greeks were more lenient to Hebrews. The God further suppressed Persians so formidable to other races and tribes around them by introducing Islam into Persians.

And, now, the danger the modern Iran poses on descendants of the Greek Civilization, namely Europeans, and Israelis seems not to be rooted in Islam but in the Persian tradition first found in 500 B.C.

And, exercising this traditional potential in the early 21st century after long years of lying low under the hold of Islam may be the only reason why only Persians have been allowed to keep their military potential against Europeans, while Egyptians, Huns, and Mongolians lost it long time ago.

But why modern Iranians are allowed today to exercise their traditional potential?

Are Europeans (Americans, and Israelis) so bad?

Has Islam become so irrelevant to the global situations?

You may make little account for it, but so many U.S. and NATO troops have been actually engaged in battles around Iran, namely Iraq and Afghanistan, in addition to Israeli troops in Palestine.

What is the scenario on Iran the God Almighty has drawn?

Comparatively young F.M. Mr. Okada is expected to become prime minister of Japan in future, while very veteran Minister Mr. Kamei once competed hard with former P.M. Mr. Junichiro Koizumi over the post of the LDP president and thus the prime minister of Japan, in vain.

Some American elite seem to be already starting to build a friendly connection with Mr. Okada, even before the 8/30/2009 general election, but also already being leery of Mr. Kamei's stance.

In this context, the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan that lost power due to results of the 8/30/2009 general election might, I am afraid, try to leverage their long and strong tie with some American elite to check the deployment of Prime Minister Mr. Yukio Hatoyama's Cabinet further impressing Japanese voters favorably...



SECTION I: Buddhism around Pakistan and Afghanistan

Most of educated Japanese know the name of king Ashoka (304 BC – 232 BC), since he made his kingdom, the Maurya Dynasty, one of the greatest Buddhist kingdoms in history.

But, King Ashoka was born after Alexander the Great (356–323 BC), the implication of which is however not fully examined by any professors or scholars.

When looking at the state of Buddhist proselytism at the time of king Ashoka (260-218 BCE), you would be more interested in the sequence of Alexander the Great and King Ashoka:

Indeed, it is a mystery why Buddhism was not propagated into the Middle East and further to Europe.

Nonetheless, it is very unthinkable that Israelites had never heard of this great religion Buddhism created in India around 500 B.C., since Greater India, including Pakistan, was just next to Afghanistan, a kind of extension of Persia familiar to ancient Judaists.

In short, without King Ashoka who must have been highly influenced by the legacy of Alexander the Great, Buddhism could not be propagated to China and then Korea and Japan.

Then, without Alexander the Great, no Japanese Buddhism should have been possible.

Yet, without Alexander the Great, there should not have been the era of Caesar and Cleopatra.

And, it is very difficult to think of the emergence of Jesus Christ without the era of Caesar and Cleopatra.

Finally, Japanese Buddhism and Christianity alike owe each formation and establishment to Alexander the Great.

So, when Japanese people view Pakistan and Afghanistan as a critical region for their religion, they will open their eyes to history, namely the God Almighty...

Japan has been ruled mainly by the Liberal Democratic Party for decades though the major opposition party was once the Socialist Party of Japan and then the Democratic Party of Japan.

But, following the defeat in the 8/30/2009 general election, the LDP turned to the opposition, and thus Prime Minister Mr. Taro Aso stepped down. Then, the LDP elected veteran lawmaker Mr. Sadakazu Tanigaki as its new president.

I do not think that Mr. Tanigaki, a graduate of the University of Tokyo, cannot recover morale of LDP members and their supporters as he won votes in the LDP presidential election held yesterday more than twice the votes his young rival Mr. Taro Kono got to narrowly save his face as future candidate for the LDP presidency.

Indeed, especially in 1980's when 80% of the Japanese people believed that they were respectable members of the middle class of globally growing and flourishing Japan, the LDP was the most adequate political party to entrust with power of national administration and over huge budgets.

By the way, it is a big surprise that President Mr. Barack Obama himself has decided to fly to Copenhagen and attend the IOC meeting.

Japanese Prime Minister Mr. Yukio Hatoyama may have to ask his charming wife to join his travel to Copenhagen for the 2016 Olympic venue contest.

Yet, to tell the truth, I have never been to Chicago, to your expected surprise.



SECTION I: History of Christianity in China

Nestorius died in Egypt in 451 though he served as archbishop
in Constantinople till 431.

His unique school was forbidden by the Vatican but reached Persia and finally China in 635 during the era of the Tang Dynasty.

Nestorianism was approved by a line of Chinese emperors and somehow accepted by not a few Chinese people till it was forbidden and wiped out from the surface of society in 845 when Buddhism and other foreign religions were attacked by an emperor.

It is thought that there were 50,000 or so Nestrian Christians in China when the unique Christianity was virtually terminated in 845.

The state of missions of Nestorians in Tang China between 635 and 845 is proved by a stone inscription, though it was created in 781 but has survived the history to date.

To put it bluntly, this special school of Christianity has left no influence on China and the Chinese people of today.

But, there is a theory that Japanese monks who learnt Buddhism in the Tang Dynasty also learnt some about Nestorianism though they seem to have regarded it as part of Buddhism. When they returned to Japan, they launched a new school of Buddhism where some spirit of the unique Christianity was embedded.

Accordingly, as the special school of Buddhism is still actively practiced in Japan, Nestorianism created in the 5th century in Constantinople is thought to have some underlying influence on Japanese people of today.

Today, the most interesting type of Christians in China is called "Culture Christians."

They have encountered Christianity in their study of the Western Culture.

They have not found Christianity in any sort of churches in China.

But, they have discovered the Western religion Christianity while they are learning some specific subject of the Western culture or science related to their profession or personal inquiry.

So, those Chinese Culture Christians are not interested in rituals and theories performed in churches.

Other Chinese Christians do not fully accept them as members of the same religion.

But, if a revolution should be set off by Chinese Christians in future, these Christians must be those called Culture Christians, in my view.

To tell the truth, I did not think that the year 2009 would become a more drastic year for Japan than 2008 was.

In 2007, the year 2008 looked so far, but the planned 2008 Beijing Olympics looked somehow ominous and the planned 2008 U.S. Presidential Election looked somehow getting beyond imagination.

In fact, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games were accompanied by the Great Sichuan Earthquake and the Tibet turmoil; the U.S. Presidential Election ended with the first African American President elected in the wake of the Wall Street Shock.

Then, in 2009, the most drastic regime change in half a century has happened in Japan.

As if the history of Japan had reached a climax, nobody in Japan today seems to have any idea on what's coming in the year 2010...

Or can we find any clue through observing TV reporting...

Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Yukio Hatoyama is reportedly to fly to Copenhagen, Denmark, as Tokyo Governor Mr. Shintaro Ishihara arrived there yesterday.

If the 2016 Olympic Games should be destined for Rio de Janeiro, no Japanese would doubt over the legitimacy or fairness of the International Olympic Committee.

Rather, more Japanese are concerned with the recent sharp hike of the yen to 0.88 yen per one U.S. cent or 88 yen per U.S. dollar.

It may be time for reviewing the legitimacy or fairness of the U.S. dollar as key currency, since G8 Summit is going to take on new significance as P.M. Mr. Hatoyama suggests.



SECTION I: Christianity vs. Chinese Communism

The American elite believes that more than 1.2 billion people in China are well supervised, controlled, educated, watched, and monitored or disciplined by the Chinese elite.

With the tight control of society, there is no room for turmoil and conflicts of the scale which will adversely affect the Chinese market.

There will be no room also for unexpected policy change in the Chinese Government, since it is occupied, filled, and managed by the de-facto sole political party, the Chinese Communist Party to which most of Chinese elite belong or virtually belong.

With such merit of the Chinese Communist Party, the huge Chinese market is stable and de-facto pro-American Chinese policies are secured as the autocratic Government can suppress any insurgents who, if with power, might adopt an anti-American strategy openly.

It is as if the Chinese Communist elite exercises dictatorship over its people in order to satisfy American politicians, investors, and business leaders and even a U.S. military elite, so that the Chinese Communist Party in return can save its face and maintain its domestic hegemony with various types of help and support from America.

Yet, if Christianity prevails in China, a kind of revolution will occur and spread to eventually destroy the despotism.

The point at issue is whether the American Government will cooperate or is actually cooperating now with the Chinese Communist Party to suppress any potentially dangerous religious movement in China, including Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism, since Marxism itself is a kind of religion based on a certain idea of a certain Judaist.

In other word, is there true friendship between Chinese people and American Christians?
