The 2008 Primaries For A Future Film?
(How is a pond in your garden? Don't you have any!)
The 2008 Primaries For A Future Film?
Yesterday, namely Sunday in Japan, I woke up unusually early to see some TV programs on politics. I saw two female politicians of two different major parties competing in presentation pro and con about a new public health insurance system targeting very older people.
Then after 2 or 3 p.m., I went out without checking afternoon news on the media, since I felt that the God let me go out by train a little far from my city.
I did not think I was going to Tokyo. So, I took the opposite direction to a big river for a holy reason unknown to myself.
When I came back early-evening, I encountered fire trucks and ambulances a few times on the street in my city.
And, back in my home, I found TV news programs all reporting on a young man who killed seven people by a truck he drove from a local city and a knife he brandished on the street of Akihabara, Tokyo, a famous town full of electronics stores and IT businesses.

Even in a night TV news program, they mentioned the similarities of another irrational killing of innocent passersby by a young man around Tokyo.

In the TV news program, they also reported on some medical doctors in Japan, each earning $280,000 or so per year, still looking for a better workplace, asking a headhunter to find not only a lucrative hospital but also a luxury flat in the middle of Tokyo.
In the basically single-race society and the mono-culture country of Japan, a widening gap between the poor and the rich, no matter if ascribed to fair competition, could result in any irrational tragedy.
SECTION I: Virginia Tech Massacre
On April 17, 2007, I wrote the blog quoting Gen 32 of the Bible, in the wake of the Virginia Tech shooting incident where 32 people were killed by a South Korean student.

At the time, I did not discuss the influence of "not just the deadliest school shooting, but the deadliest shooting rampage by a single gunman in U.S. history" on US Presidential Primaries.

Though Mr. Obama’s comment on the incident delivered soon after the news report on it aroused some controversy, I suppose this incident made ordinary US voters love to have a strong President who can act like a young and tough soldier.

SECTION II: Benazir Bhutto
On December 29, 2007, I wrote the blog quoting a comment by Benazir Bhutto, in the wake of her assassination in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
"When I was growing up I thought a woman could have it all and now I find that yes a woman can have it all but she has to be prepared to pay the price..."

And, I also analyzed the influence of the incident in comparison with a 2000’s incident involving a Cuban boy in exile while losing his mother just before the shore of Florida:
”This incident eventually led to the victory of Mr. George W. Bush in Florida in 2000 (though it was like skating on the ice), thus leading to the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003 having been forced through by leveraging the fear of Islamic extremest terror among US citizens.
The assassination of Benazir Bhutto before the 2008 US Presidential Election might lead to a victory of a certain candidate and a big change in the US policy in the international arena."
Indeed, I suppose this incident made ordinary US voters love to have a strong President who can act like a young and tough soldier.
SECTION III: Democratic Primary Scenario Broken
In my analysis the original scenario for the 2008 Democratic Primaries looks like as follows:
1) Some of the most influential and powerful people in the U.S. decided that Mrs. Hillary Clinton should be the Democratic candidate for the 2008 Presidential Election after or even before the midterm election in 2006.
2) They, including some Bilderberg Group members, chose Mr. Obama as a rival for Mrs. Clinton, since Mr. Obama had been already chosen as a future contributor to dominance of such dominant people when he had been still a student or a lawyer.
3) They expected that two unique candidates, a woman and an African American, would take center stage of the media reports so that any criticism to the incumbent establishment, the Bush Administration, and their way of pursuing the war in Iraq and the Middle East would be diverted.
But, their scenario has failed due to the above stated two factors in addition to a steep rise of the number of failed housing loans among African Americans, Hispanics, and poor European Americans.
Without these factors, Mrs. Clinton should have won by 52% to 48% against Mr. Obama, the opposite of which has however happened.
What's more, Mr. Imus’ controversial comments on African Americans and behaviors on money and lawsuits must have also contributed some to Mr. Obama’s victory, though "Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have both voiced their distaste for Imus' remarks, and both publicly agreed with his firing."

As for the Japanese political landscape, the ruling parties are most likely to lose their office in the Central Government.
It is because nowadays some young Japanese have started to kill innocent passers with knives and cars even in the world famous business town Akihabara.
It is indeed due to the negative effect of globalization in Japan and outdated administrative policies still being pursued by elite bureaucrats of the Japanese Government.
Without a hope of becoming rich while being exposed to inflammatory commercials on TV and other media, where attractive actors and actresses are further arousing a desire for a materially rich life, some poor young Japanese are losing their sense of morals and ethics.
The general public must be feeling a sense of crisis in a manner unthinkable decade ago, since the incumbent Administration could not fully protect the people. So, you will probably see a regime change in Japan in the near future, good or better.
However, with a more percentage of people feeling a sense of crisis in the U.S. than in Japan, it is a little strange that the aftermath of the 9/11 Terror still hinders a true regime change in the United States…
(If I were a film director, I would feature Mr. Obama with Mr. McCain in a war story. And a US President featuring Mrs. Clinton would mistakenly order two special-force agents played by Mr. Powell and Ms. Rice to help a flying officer, Mr. McCain, take on a double agent disguising himself as an enemy hero named Osama Hussein played by Mr. Obama in vain, since Osama Hussein becomes beyond his original mission the leader of oil producing Arabs, Africans, Russians, and Latin Americans…
Have you heard “The Ballad of The Green Berets?”

Of course there is a more historic spy story for some of you…)
Jos 2:1 And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot's house, named Rahab, and lodged there.
Jos 2:2 And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, there came men in hither to night of the children of Israel to search out the country.
Jos 2:3 And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house: for they be come to search out all the country.
Jos 2:4 And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and said thus, There came men unto me, but I wist not whence they were:
Jos 2:5 And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them.
Jos 2:6 But she had brought them up to the roof of the house, and hid them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order upon the roof.
Jos 2:7 And the men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto the fords: and as soon as they which pursued after them were gone out, they shut the gate.
Jos 2:8 And before they were laid down, she came up unto them upon the roof;
Jos 2:9 And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.
Jos 2:10 For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.
Jos 2:11 And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.
Jos 2:12 Now therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the LORD, since I have shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto my father's house, and give me a true token:
Jos 2:13 And that ye will save alive my father, and my mother, and my brethren, and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death.
Jos 2:14 And the men answered her, Our life for yours, if ye utter not this our business. And it shall be, when the LORD hath given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee.
