"when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews"

(The Tokyo Bay as Large as the Dead Sea of Palestine)

Untold Truth

According to the Gospels, Jesus Christ never mentioned the Mediterranean and great cities on the sea, such as Rome, Athens, and Alexandria of Egypt.

He did not cite the Dead Sea, either.

Hence, I suppose Jesus Christ must have had at least indirect linkages or some experiences with those locations.

Yet, He guided many poor Israelites who had no chance of enjoying a visit to such places. If He referred to such places proudly in His preaching, those poor Israelites without money for a journey would feel all the more unhappier for themselves. So, a saint never talks about his past travelling or experiences in foreign lands so as not to make the poor envy him.

Nonetheless, I think that Jesus Christ visited the Dead Sea and Qumran as well as Alexandria and Athens, since a Queen Cleopatra's ancestor was a general under Alexander the Great. And it was just 30 years before the birth of Jesus Christ that the Macedonian queen of Egypt died.

SECTION I: 1994 and 2008

Maybe the 14 year period from 1994 to 2008 is comparable with the one from 1930 to 1944, that is, from the beginning of the Great Depression toward the end of the World War II, in terms of a change in the land scape of the world.

Number of Workers (million)
//.................1994.........2008.....Up/Down
USA............123.07........145.36......+18.1%
JAPAN........64.54..........63.85.......-1%
UK..............25.51..........29.44.......+15.4%

Amount of Imports ($ billion)
//.................1994.........2008.....Up/Down
USA............664........2,523......+280%
JAPAN.......281..........790.......+181%
UK.............183..........422.......+131%

Maybe compared with Japan and America, Britain is a kind of ordinary nation.

If a 10% increase in work force should result in a 100% increase in import over 14 years, like in the case of the U.K., Japan should have decreased import by 10% though it increased import by 181%.

If a 10% increase in work force should result in a 100% increase in import over 14 years, like in the case of the U.K., the U,S. should have increased import by 181% though it increased import by 280%.

So, it looks like explaining why Japan is in the decade-plus-long deflation and the U.S. is in a state of excess credit granting to consumers and workers.

One hidden factor is of course China, since Japan and the U.S. imported several times more from China over 14 years between 1994 and 2008.

It is time for Japan to draw up a new scheme to realize a sound balance between G3, namely Japan, the U.S., and China

SECTION II: 7/11 Upper-House Election in Japan

The Japanese media are now presenting their forecasts of the outcome of the July-11 national election of Japan.

The focal point is whether or not non-conservative Prime Minister Mr. Naoto Kan is able to consolidate his power base as a tested hero who leads the quasi-progressive Democratic Party of Japan, as a respectable successor of controversial ex-premier Mr. Yukio Hatoyama, that achieved the historical regime change last summer.

The arch rival of the DPJ is the former ruling party Liberal Democratic Party being led by its president Mr. Sadakazu Tanigaki, an unpretentious lawyer-turned lawmaker.

According to those forecasts, the pro-Chinese DPJ would overwhelm the very pro-American LDP in terms of a number of votes won in the proportional-representation constituencies. However, the DPJ alone would not gain a majority eventually in the Upper House of the National Diet to be filled with total 242 seats.

One forecast dare assert 20 new seats for the ruling DPJ and 10 new seats for the opposition LDP among 48 seats in the proportional-representation constituencies, though the total 121 seats are to be re-elected. (The overall prediction is DPJ 52-40 LDP, according to the magazine Sukan Shincho.)

But, there is an interesting result from my check on the Web pages and sites with the following key words (in Japanese) using the Yahoo search engine.

"DPJ + Kan-Naoto + Upper-House election + July":
594,000 hits

"LDP + Tanigaki-Sadakazu+ Upper-House election + July":
4,030,000 hits

Note that this sort of search check usually returns a result three times in favor of the DPJ and P.M. Mr. Kan against the LDP and Mr. Tanigaki.

Since P.M. Mr. Naoto Kan has recently showed an amateur class of ability relying on a stupid economist and announcing a 5% tax increase plan, voters might more turn to sound candidates with capability in understanding and practices in economy and economics.

For example, former state minister Ms. Kuniko Inoguchi of the LDP, who lost a Lower-House seat in the regime-change election, is now expected to win a seat in a local electoral district, since Former Prime Minister Mr. Junichiro Koizumi has been pushing her strongly, delivering an endorsement speech so much on site.

The result of this election will have an unignorable impact on the Japan's relationships with the U.S. and China as well as an economic policy and a sense of political justice backed by a traditional concept of social value.

"neither did his brethren believe in him"

Karmic Backlash

Before one becomes very rich, he usually thinks that he would not live a foolish life with a dark mind if he becomes very rich.

But, without an exception, when one becomes very rich, he lives a foolish life with a dark mind.

However, his life is protected by various systems that function to protect rich people by sacrificing the poor. One of these systems is a political system and another is an economic system.

Yet, the superior and overriding rule is that rich men cannot enter Heaven after death, in order not to be saved from the death. Champions in this world in terms of success and wealth have all been punished by the God and thrown into the hell to lose every memory of their success and wealth.

This is the teaching of Jesus Christ that has been taken over generation after generation for 2000 years.

So, it is a great surprise that this teaching is yet to govern politics and economy of the world.

SECTION I: 0% TAX, PLUS!!

Japanese Prime Minister Mr. Naoto Kan has proposed his plan to set the consumer tax rate at 10% in near future, though it is 5% now.

President of the opposition LDP Mr. Sadakazu Tanigaki has also proposed his plan to set the consumer tax rate at 10% in near future, though it is 5% now.

Some economists have argued that it is crazy to raise a tax rate while Japan is in decades-long deflation.

The ruling DPJ led by P.M. Mr. Kan is trying to secure a majority in the coming 7/11 Upper House election. But, his strategy of announcing the 5% tax increase plan might be very wrong.

They are all brain-washed by the old economics paradigm that the government must first collect tax and then spend it according to a budgetary plan.

The collection of tax and the budgetary expenditure by a government must be however separated especially in the advanced economy like Japan.

A government must print and deliver bills or paper money, apart from the function of the central bank, so as to execute the budget.

Taxation must be used as a means to adjust money flow in the society. Without depending on an amount of tax collected, the budget execution must be fulfilled.

The basic condition that justifies this scheme is unlimited power of production and provision of products, goods, technologies, and services, which sustains international value of the currency, namely the yen for Japan.

According to this Rule of Separation of Budget Execution and Tax Collection, no more financial crisis occurs.

The Government can freely print paper money especially for use for social welfare, as long as it can sustain international value of the currency, namely the yen for Japan.

Or, the Government can pay monthly allowance, $1,000 or so, to every citizen regardless of their state of employment under the condition that the allowance is to be spent within a year, as long as it can sustain international value of the currency, namely the yen for Japan. (It will be a happy duty for each citizen to spend this government-sent $1,000 per month in this case!)

Anyway, someday a party will fight an election with an official promise of making the tax rate 0% for individuals and corporates. It is one of intermediate aims of my efforts in presenting the EEE Economics based on the Jesus' Economics.

Nonetheless, both the DPJ and the LDP have neglected a principle of conventional economics: Do not raise a tax rate during deflation.

They both might lose the 7/11 Upper House election.

SECTION II: National Allowance

If the Japanese Government provides a $1,000 monthly allowance to each voter, it will total $1.2 trillion (= $1,000 x 12 x 100 million) per year.

As voters are obliged to spend all the allowance within a year, it can contribute to GDP every year in a ratio of 10 to 20%, since Japanese GDP is between $5 to $6 trillion.

Tax revenue will be automatically increased if collected.

Nobody thinks that the earth will become a planet of gangsters someday.

But, nobody also thinks that the earth will become a planet of righteous people someday.

Yet, if he does not decide to do something to make the earth a planet of righteous people, he will eventually turn to a life of crime, according to Jesus Christ.

Emergence of new economies, such as China and India, indicates that the whole earth is coming to be judged by the God of Christianity, since modern economy is based on the modern European Civilization, a great product of Christianity, no matter how incomplete.

Even today's ultra rich people will try to kill Jesus Christ if He directly orders them to abandon all the money they have accumulated in this world while they are still alive. They will not give all the money to the poor to follow Jesus Christ. Instead, they will hate Jesus Christ so much as to try to kill Him.

If you want to make it sure, ask them what they would do when so ordered.

This is the bottom line of this world.

So, do not be used by them as an instrument to kill Jesus Christ, if He should emerge.

It is the minimum duty for a church goer and a Bible reader, in my humble thought.

And, I really think that I, a servant of the God unlike a religious businessman called a priest, should have been already killed if I had lived in Europe or America.

This is the bottom line of my story so far.

"another angel ascending from the east"

(Japan in the Rainy Season)

Without Serving God, Serving You?

Once there was a young man whose only source of pride was that he had a well educated wife.

He was not respected by others, but all the more he always talked about his wife to some young colleagues, being well promoted, yet to marry, so that the poor young man could feel a sense of humble superiority.

However, some arrogant elites in the Japanese society have even no wives worth of talking about before other elites, since they are afraid that they might be laughed at behind the scene after presenting such wives (except the case of the Imperial Family).

But, there are worse cases than all this in Japan, since too many husbands have wives who only serve them, gladly or sadly, without serving the God of the world.

Even in Paraguay, many have wives who pray once a week to the God.

Incidentally, Chinese wives, rich or poor, are in most cases a kind of victims of the social system, since no freedom like that in Japan and the U.S. is assured in China.

SECTION I: 4000% Increase in Import from China

Between 1985 and 2007, Chinese export of clothing to the world increased 50 times larger or 5,000% more, though the population and the number of consumers of the world increased well in this period.
(Specifically, $20.2 million to $1086.42 million)

Between 1985 and 2007, Chinese export of clothing to Japan increased 40 times larger or 4,000% more, though the population and the number of consumers in Japan did not increase in this period.
(Specifically, $3.69 million to $159.18 million)

If you find only one shop selling clothing, you would pay $100 for goods to the shop.

But, if you find 40 shops selling clothing, you would pay only $2.5 for goods to one of the 40 stores.

Japanese retailers, companies, and enterprises have to undergo this deflation since 1985.

As for the American market, as the population and the number of consumers in addition to immigrants from the Latin America have also increased in these decades, deflation pressure it has received from a China's export surge has been instinctive in comparison with Japan.

SECTION II: Chinese Covert Operation in Japan & America

Though the Japanese Government has never officially worked out a policy to promote investment into China and import from China, Japanese businesses took it as a matter of course to utilize cheap labor force in China.

The Liberal Democratic Party, the Federal Economic Organization of Japan, and elite bureaucrats of the central government have been all tied up in their concerted efforts to provide official aid to China, increase the number of affiliated factories and companies in China, and export useful technologies to China and import cheap products from China.

On the other hand, the Chinese Communist Party have been offering directly big money or indirectly business chances to American elite politicians, economists, and top executives on Wall Street. China has been oiling American elites' palms with dollars accumulated through cheap and sweat-inducing labor of the Chinese people.

Specifically, China likes the Democratic Party of America, so that there must have been a kind of covert operation by Chinese agents to realize presidency of Mr. Barack Obama. China probably spent $1 billion for this operation till the 2008 Presidential Election Day, in my guess.

China also likes the Democratic Party of Japan, so that there must have been a kind of covert operation by Chinese agents to realize premiership of Mr. Yukio Hatoyama. China probably spent $0.3 billion for this operation till the 2009 General Election Day, in my guess.

Now, this ongoing Upper-House Election in Japan must be checked in this context.

It must be time to correct the too much intimacy with China in the political community, since China is yet to fully respect the Japan's history and traditions.

Of course, Japan can influence America more through China. In this case, G2, namely Japan and China, will consult with each other in their fair and overt operation in the U.S. political and financial domains.

SECTION III: Not English but World Religion

Many people have become successful business owners, corporate elite executives, influential public officials, politicians local or national, lawyers, medical doctors, professors in some universities, and a sort of celebrities or very wealthy members of the society.

But, all I want to say to my old acquaintances and friends is: "Why is your wife serving you without serving the God? Are you greater than God? It is called blasphemy in the true Christian domain. You got it?"

So, I recommend young Japanese elites to have their wives revere the God before presenting them in public, since they would look ugly without faith like those old women who have served their elite husbands but not the God.

So, you know how difficult it is to teach true spirit of Christianity to rich Japanese people.

The era of blessings from traditional religions alone in Japan must come to an end, since today's hi-tech economy in the world is not based on principles of Japanese traditional religions.

Otherwise, even Paraguayans, under a Vatican influence, have more potential to be optimized in blessed condition in future, since today's hi-tech economy in the world is based on principles of Judaism/Christianity/Anglo Saxon principles.

It is not English that is needed for future Japanese elites but understanding of world religions.

*** *** *** ***

I don't know why rich Europeans and Americans like to talk about their families so much.

Their sons and daughters are in most cases not blessed by the God, without mentioning their wives.

Unhappy people without their families must feel unhappier when hearing such guys foolishly talking about their children and wives mostly being spoiled by big money.

That is why Jesus Christ did not choose such men as His Disciples.

True Christians never mention their families like Jesus Christ and His disciples so as not to make unhappy people unhappier.

Besides, their wives do not look so nice as Princess Diana who died in Paris in 1997 or Mother Teresa who died in 1997 in India, for some mysterious or religious reasons.

I will tell you that you alone stand before the God. You are not allowed to have your children and wife stand by your side to help you.

Stand alone like a man if not like a hero before Jesus Christ!

"but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven"

(Part of Giant Kelp at the exit to the North Pacific Ocean from the Tokyo Bay)

Over and Over Again

Paraguay is one of the countries that joined the first FIFA World Cup Matches held in Uruguay in 1930, that is, 80 years ago.

This year in South Africa, the Paraguay's national team has advanced to a quarterfinal match for the first time by beating Japan in the penalty-kick shoot-out after a 120-minute fight.

Paraguay made the day for competing with Japan, namely yesterday, an ad hoc national holiday so that all the citizens could watch the match. Eventually, one woman shouted after the game, "Japan was tough, but Indian bloods won!"

In Japan, all the media are still praising the efforts by Japanese players broadcast live last night into early this morning.

SECTION I: Who Export and Import in China?

Foreign affiliated businesses account for more than 50% as a share of companies in China that are engaged in export from China or import to China.

Many American makers, like so many Japanese corporations, have established their affiliated companies in China who export goods to the American market in a large scale.

If labor costs in China are raised fairly high or the yuan is appraised higher, those American companies would withdraw their operation in China and relocate factories from China to other developing countries.

So, unemployment in the U.S. is unlikely to be improved in this scenario.

Yet, it must be fair to raise salary of Chinese workers and reevaluate the yuan.

In addition, China outwardly talks tough about an underlying trend of withdrawal of foreign businesses from the Chinese industrial sector. One Chinese media site proudly asserts that the era for China to invite Japanese and foreign companies by offering cheap labor, cheap lands, and preferential taxation systems is gone; the era of quality rather than quantity has come to China in welcoming foreign financed companies.

And, one thing sure is that China likes the DPJ more than the LDP of Japan, and the Democratic Party more than the Republican Party of the U.S.

Japan and America, as G2, have to consult with each other on China.

SECTION II: 2014 World Cup Soccer

I wrote a few weeks ago that the Japan's national football team would fight four matches to win two in South Africa.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/06/29/AR2010062902508.html

It is because a card with the following picture printed on I had prepared more than a year ago suddenly fell from a display board onto the table where my PCs are placed.

As this picture looks nice, though the samurai does not wield a sword on the horse, I had put it on the display board months ago.

*** *** *** ***

Last night I saw something in my dream at night.

It was not a soccer match between Japan vs. Paraguay.

And then, I heard a grave voice after some dreams, good and bad.

Anyway, I am not directly in charge of the Japan's national soccer squad, intending to make Paraguayans so happy.

There are more important, critical, and attractive things in Japan than one victory in the World Cup soccer event.

And, there are more religious challenges in the world, where I am not supposed to miss shootings, since money makes pious people suffer so much all over the world.

"unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other"

SECTION I: Trurh on Investment to/from China

The U.S. is not the largest investor into China.

Except Hong Kong and Taiwan, it is Japan, the largest direct investor into China.

Top 10 Origins of Non-Financial FDI into China
($ billion)
Country....2008.....2009...Growth(%)
-----------------------------------------
Hong Kong....41.0....54.0......31.6
Taiwan.........1.9....6.6......245.7
Japan..........3.7....4.1......12.7
Singapore....4.4....3.9......-12.4

http://www.uschina.org/statistics/fdi_cumulative.html

However, there are some discrepancies in statistics on FDI from Japan between on the Japanese side and on the Chinese side:

....Japan's Data....China's Data...($1 = 90 yen)
2005....8.07........6.53.....($billion)
2006....7.97........4.76
2007....8.12........3.59
2008....7.44........3.65

http://www.ide.go.jp/English/Publish/Download/Vrf/pdf/450.pdf

So, what is necessary is not G20 but C8+1 with:
Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, America, South Korea, Britain, Germany, Canada and China.

The Washington Post and other American media must help form C8+1 Meeting at least to secure Chinese investment into the U.S. Federal Government through buying Treasury bonds, since China has now U.S. Treasury bonds worth $900 billion while Japan holds a $800 billion scale of the Treasury bonds.

SECTION II: China Water Crisis

Now thunderbolts are striking everhwhere, here, around Tokyo, where I am typing. A temperature gauge on one of PCs shows 86 degrees F (30 degrees C).

Japan is in the middle of a month-and-half long rainy season. The sky is mostly covered by clouds. Or, to have a rain, the sky must be fully covered by clouds, low and high. It is not easy to have a rain. Just one or two, or several clouds cannot result in rainfall.

When will mankind have power and ability to control weather? When will mankind let a rain fall at their will in deserts on the earth?

Of course, I have one solution which uses 8,000-feet artificial mountains to be set on a shore before a desert as I once introduced.

Indeed, one of China's weak points might be related to water:
---------
If present trends are not reversed, the World Bank forecasts that by 2020 there will be 30 million environmental refugees in China due to water stress.

- With 20% of the world’s population but only 7% of global water resources, China meets with a severe challenge.

- More than half of China's 660 cities suffer from water shortages, affecting 160 million people.

- The per capita water volume in China is one fourth of the world average.

- 90% of cities’ groundwater and 75% of rivers and lakes are polluted.

- As a result of widespread water pollution, 700 million people drink contaminated water every day.

- Waterborne diseases have created a rising number of premature deaths.

- Between November 2005 and January 2006, three large-scale incidents occurred, halting water supply for millions of people and raising awareness of the challenges ahead.

- The government plans to mitigate water pollution by investing in wastewater treatment facilities.

(Lying on the beach under a rain, one can look sometimes blessed as if with $1 billion paper money...Do you have it?...Pay it for the rain on the beach where you should be lying to be blessed by God.; Around Tokyo actually yesterday.)

True Key Factor

If you have patiently read and studied the EEE-Reporter blog so far, whether you are in Harvard or Beijing, you must now understand that it is major Japanese businesses that overlooked, welcomed, or exhaustively introduced deflation in Japan and the lost decade in Japan's 1990's. It is so since there are many Japanese who have become rich working through, or investing into, those major corporations.

No critical damages have been made on them, though those Japanese companies have been striving to cope with the Anglo Saxon-triggered globalization leveraging the IT technology.

Any arguments by economists are blind to this true key factor. It is not a matter of manipulation of prime interest or regulation of money supply. The real situation is more real, dynamic, live, and progressive as well as being influenced by technological innovation.

SECTION I: Top 1000 Makers in the World

Japan and the U.S. are still the two dominant manufacturing countries in the world.

Among top 1,000 makers in the world in terms of revenue, 200 makers belong to Japan and 300 makers belong to the U.S.

Among top 1,000 makers in the global industrial sector in terms of revenue, Japan and the U.S. have 500 companies listed in total.

A number of industrial manufacturers globally ranked between the 1st and the 1000th in terms of revenue for each major company is as follows.

The U.S. is still the country with the largest number of makers each of which has recorded big revenue to be ranked within the 1000th in the world.

Japan follows it, making the two countries the top leading group.

What should be noted is that this is just one example on how Japanese makers have accepted or promoted deflation in the Japanese economy so as to maintain their sales and revenue.

They have invested much into China and established many affiliated companies in China, causing deflation in Japan but maintaining their positions in terms of revenue.

In other world, the lost decade in 1990's has not influenced Japanese big makers. Rather, for prosperity of those globally-operating Japanese makers, the lost decade and the deflation were virtually accepted by Japan, since it was an inevitable result from huge investment into China so as to win the international competition in the era of globalization.

As a result, while the GDP ratio is 1 to 2.8 between Japan and the U.S., the manufacturing power ratio has become 1 to 1.5, which is a kind of great success for Japanese businesses and workers.

In addition, if the Chinese currency yuan is up-valued, there could be a little influence in China in terms of the number of makers to be ranked within the 1000th in the world.

Of course, with so many powerful manufacturers in Japan and the U.S., to tell the truth, no Chinese makers are needed. However, greedy and severe competition in the global market has forced businesses to leverage cheap labor force in China.

Yet, this is all within a paradigm of the 20th century. We have to advance over the lost decade of Japan and a 10% level of unemployment in the U.S.

SECTION II: G8 vs. G20

They say that G8 is not useful anymore, since so many problems have been unsolved such as the American financial crisis in 2008 and the Greece crisis in 2010.

So, even American elites claim that G20 does everything necessary.

However, it is Former President Mr. George W. Bush that formed G20 as an excuse of silencing his expected apology to the world for the Wall Street crash.

Without G8, Japan will get less direct information from European major players and the U.S. It will have a significant influence on Japanese key players in economy and politics.

The world today functions through various networks established through decades-long efforts by Japan, West Europe, and North America. If the networks are taken away, the world will lose a shared sense among major players. G8 is implementation of a lesson learned from the past Great Depression.

If China cannot be a responsible member of G8+1, G20 including China is from the beginning just a kind of excuse.

Anyway, as Europe and America lose confidence, they just want to be psychologically relieved by sitting together with G20 members. Inevitably, Japan is leading and sustaining G8 to have it function.

(If a next crisis occurs, it cannot be China, India, Brazil, or Korea that fixes the international financial/currency crisis. It is still Japan that will really contribute to fixing the crisis. They are potentially problem factors, but Japan is on the savior side.)

*** *** *** ***

According to a keyword hit number check, the two leaders of Japan, Prime Minister Mr. Naoto Kan and the head of the largest opposition party Mr. Sadakazu Tanigaki, got the following numbers from search results with Yahoo (in Japanese):

"Kan Naoto": 1,580,000 (pages/sites)

"Tanigaki Sadakazu": 3,570,000

"Kan Naoto Minsyuto (the DPJ)": 545,000

"Tanigaki Sadakazu Jiminnto (the LDP)": 367,000

So, the LDP might be more advantageous in voting in fixed-seat electoral districts than in voting in the proportional-representation constituency.

"Tanigaki Sadakazu" seems to be more trusted than "Kan Naoto." But, "Minsyuto (the DPJ)" seems to be more trusted than "Jiminto (the LDP)."

Yet, most of critics predict that the ruling DPJ will get more seats than the LDP in the July 11 Upper-House election, though the DPJ and its allied parties are not expected to secure a majority in total including seats not for re-election.

Anyway, it is a turn for the DPJ to concede.

La Mer is the sea, since the sea is il mare in Italian. We call it "umi" sounded as 'wu-me,' in case that you are neither Japanese nor French.)

Mat 6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

Mat 6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Mat 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

IT Service Market Size

It is a little surprise that the Information Technology-related market size is almost in proportion to the population size in North America and Japan (and a little bit of West Europe and Japan).

But, computer technologies and the Internet are based on English or West European languages (originally 8-bit code programming while a Japanese letter needs 16 bits). With such a great handicap, though as usual, Japan has amazingly taken rank with North America and West Europe. Yet, it is still incomplete to reach its goal.

North America (population - 330 million):
2008 - $329 billion
2012 - $396 billion

West Europe (population - 400 million ?):
2008 - $265 billion
2012 - $271 billion

JAPAN (population - 127 million):
2008 - $103 billion
2012 - $117 billion

Asia/Pacific Except Japan
2008 - $52 billion
2012 - $58 billion

Central/South Americas
2008 - $31 billion
2012 - $42 billion

Middle East/Africa
2008 - $17 billion
2012 - $22 billion

Central/East Africa
2008 - $12 billion
2012 - $15 billion

Among the three major players, North America, West Europe, and Japan, Japan is the only one-race/one-language/one-culture economy.

In North America and West Europe, synergy driven by different types of people has boosted deployment of IT technology with various types of value added.

Yet, Japan, relying solely on superiority of the Japanese culture and the Japanese language, has developed the IT industry in parallel with the European/American culture area.

In other words, only Japan has the effective and strong religious background to cope with the European/American Christianity area.

Today, no Muslims, no Hindus, no Taiwanese, no Koreans, and no Chinese think that they inherently lack ability, partly due to their religion, to develop, progress, and succeed in economy and industry like West Europe and North America, since Japan has done.

But, Japan now faces the last challenge, though actually a decades-long issue, as to how to excel in the cyber space or the IT-based virtual economy, in order to assure a dreamy 4% growth in the 21st century and permanently.
