"the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea"

(Don't you know I'm flying!)

TRUE HEROES IN CHANGE

Some Japanese think that voters have to support P.M. Mr. Yukio Hatoyama and his de-facto boss Mr. Ichiro Ozawa no matter what they have done, though an approval rate of the Hatoyama Cabinet fell to 19.1% according to a survey by Jiji Press Co.

The regime change the two heroes realized last year is the greatest event in half a century. Besides, it is just eight months since they took power; they cannot perform well in national administration as they have no experiences. Let's protect the two from our enemies so friendly to America and Wall Street.

But, Mr. Hatoyama and Mr. Ozawa started their career as lawmakers of the now opposition LDP. Mr. Hatoyama was once Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary in the Hosokawa Cabinet when he left the LDP during one-year opposition period for the LDP around 1993. Mr. Ozawa was a Cabinet minister of an LDP regime in 1985. They cannot be naive armatures in politics.

Mr. Hatoyama has big personal fortune. He does not need salary as prime minister. Mr. Ozawa seems to have cash of $4 million or twice in his home.

Japan is different from the world. There are ten thousand people who are qualified as prime minister in Japan. Japan can change the prime minister at any time, without causing troubles. Rather, this Japanese way must be introduced into the U.S. and China in future. "Eight months is enough for you, President! You should leave now, since your approval rate has fallen to 19.1%!"

Anyway the DPJ has 400 and more national lawmakers. They can keep power at least as long as three years partly by law. And, it is non-affiliated voters that realized the regime change last year. If P.M. Mr. Hatoyama looks like losing respect for those voters, they will want him to step down.

(More importantly, I think the judicial authorities should not prosecute Mr. Hatoyama and Mr. Ozawa for currently or once alleged violations of law. We have to forgive the two, though the current political situation in Japan looks like that in 1976 when former Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka was arrested for the Lockheed bribery scandals.)

SECTION I: The Internet

I would rather teach young students in school.

If you want to understand what the Internet is, you had better work in a factory where telephone sets and exchange machines are designed and manufactured.

Then, you had better work in an telephone central office where wires, cables, and lines connecting every phone in home and office are switched and linked.

Then, think that a telephone set grows to be a PC. Instead of using voices you speak to or hear from a telephone set, you use input from the keyboard or letters in a field on the PC screen, or a file itself to send your message or information over the telephone line.

Yes, the Internet is a kind of telephone network. Or, once a human being was a PC, and a telephone network was an Internet. And, human voices were a keyboard and data. But nowadays, you have a PC, outside your brain, linked to the network, in addition to a cellular phone.

But, it is not easy to perfectly use a PC and software as part of your brain and voices.

Anyway, I would rather teach young students in Harvard or MIT that the Internet is a kind of telephone system. It is yet to be a kind of a TV set due to Erlang and traffic congestion in principle. Work in a factory where telephone sets and exchange machines are designed and manufactured, before becoming an economist of any sort.

SECTION II: Chinese Real-Estate Bubble

There is some concern about the Chinese bubble in Japan.

Some Americans are also concerned:
----------
The Great Bubble of China?
March 11, 2010 by Brian Summerfield

As NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun points out, they don’t have subprime loans in China, and the downpayment requirements are much higher in that country: 30 percent for primary residences, 40 percent for second homes, and 50 percent for raw land.

1.The potential economic fallout. Business and finance are more global than ever, and economic problems are rarely confined to a nation’s borders. If the downturn in U.S. housing could cause the government of Iceland to collapse (to cite just one problem), then a severe dip in China’s real estate market could do some amount of economic and political damage internationally as well.

http://speakingofrealestate.blogs.realtor.org/2010/03/11/the-great-bubble-of-china/
----------

China is an autocratic state where the government and politics can control businesses and investors as it wants.

It can even order citizens not to sell their invested real estate if its price plummets or buy further till a price fall stops. The Chinese Government will settle real estate prices at a reasonable level eventually, though it will lose huge potential to manipulate currency in the international market.

However, even China with 1.3 billion population cannot be exempted from a primitive economic phenomenon, a recession or slump.

Japan should be more involved in control of the Chinese economy.

Everyone has thirteen cards from 1 to 13 or an ace to a king.

But one has a joker implicitly, exceptionally.

Another has a joker explicitly within the thirteen, exceptionally.

But, the color is different between the two card sets.

So, there are two issues: whether a joker is stronger or weaker than any other card or which is superior black or red.

Finally, what does this sort of redundancy mean (though this is not a survival game)?

Anyway, let's suppose that everyone has thirteen cards from 1 to 13 or an ace to a king. You can be qualified as an ace or a king.

"many signs and wonders wrought among the people"

TURN, TURN, & TURN

In late August 2005, during the reign of President Mr. George W. Bush, Hurricane Katrina hit the U.S. coastal line on the Gulf of Mexico, resulting in a total economic loss of $150 billion.

Apparently, this was a sign from Heaven to warn American voters. Then, a turn started.

In April 2010, during the reign of President Mr. Barack Obama, a massive oil spill and oil gusher in the Gulf started, resulting in an estimated loss of $21 billion for BP and others.

Apparently, this is a sign from Heaven to warn American voters. Then, a turn must start.

In 2007, a Cabinet minister of Japan committed a suicide while being attacked by the Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ), presently a key ruling party led by P.M. Mr. Yukio Hatoyama, for his alleged violation of the Political Funding Regulation Law. Then, a month later, the then ruling Liberal Democratic Party led by P.M. Mr. Shinzo Abe lost the Upper House election. A few months later, Mr. Shinzo Abe falling ill spontaneously stepped down.

Though the above case concerning the suicide involved $55,000, P.M. Mr. Hatoyama's tax evasion case, which was not prosecuted, involved $12 million; a DPJ Secretary-General Mr. Ichiro Ozawa's suspicion about a violation of the said law involves $4 million and more. If one of the two top leaders of the DPJ steps down in near future, it might be just an indication of another turn.

SECTION I: P.M. Hatoyama and China

When Mr. Yukio Hatoyama was elected as prime minister of Japan last September, the Chinese media extremely praised Mr. Hatoyama in stark contrast to the case of Former Prime Minister Mr. Junichiro Koizumi.

P.M. Mr. Hatoyama also told in an interview by the Chinese media that his grandfather and father had contributed to improvement of diplomatic relationships with China.

China showed a strong expectation that P.M. Mr. Hatoyama would visit the Shanghai Exposition and further Nanjing to apologize the Chinese people for the so-called Nanjing massacre allegedly conducted by the Imperial Army in 1937. (The truth of the so-called Nanjing massacre however seems to be mingling a huge number of deaths of Chinese troops in battles between Shanghai and Nanjing, that is, 300,000 or so, and citizen casualties left on the street while 250,000 people were protected by Westerners in a special district of Nanjing in 1937.)

However, since the U.S. Government and the U.S. media started to criticize P.M. Mr. Hatoyama, the Chinese media started to whistle a different tune.

Chinanews reportedly wrote on April 15 that Washington Post had laughed at Mr. Hatoyama; Mr. Hatoyama would have to resign if he could not keep his promise that he would completely bring the U.S. Marine Base issue to an end by the end of May. (http://news.searchina.ne.jp/disp.cgi?y=2010&d=0415&f=politics_0415_006.shtml)

China is paying strong attentions to the movement around P.M. Mr. Yukio Hatoyama:
----------
China.org.cn

Japanese PM: moving U.S. base fully out of island difficult

May 4, 2010

Hatoyama also said he will apologize to the people of Okinawa over his government's handling of the Futemma relocation issue.

Since his rise to power last September, Hatoyama has met with staunch resistance from local citizens and officials in Okinawa over the relocation issue and his seeming failure to stand by his election pledge to move the base out of the island has fueled local opposition against the central government's latest plans to slightly modify the existing accord with the U.S. and keep the majority of Futemma's facilities on the island, although the premier contends a final plan has yet to be reached.

http://www.china.org.cn/world/2010-05/04/content_19966346.htm
----------

China of course cannot help at all Mr. Hatoyama in terms of the security partnership of Japan and the United States.

China needs a Japanese prime minister who is respected by America and who respects China more.

Anyway, Mr. Hatoyama has millions dollar personal assets. He does not need friends in China as well as in America. He should sacrifice himself for Japan.

SECTION II: Goods & Marx

The theory built by Karl Marx started with goods.

What are goods, however, for you?

For a bad man, goods are a tool with which to be rich.

For a poor man, goods are what is needed for his life.

A good man would provide goods to the poor as cheap as possible, since doing so would help the poor live a reasonable life.

But, a bad man would provide goods to the poor as high as possible, since doing so would help himself live a rich life.

So, the issue is how to build economics which would increase a number of good men who offer high-quality goods to the poor as cheap as possible to make the poor happy.

But, Karl Marx decided to build economics which would increase a number of haters of the European Christian capitalist society.

Economists must first address this point clearly.

Ethics must be first learnt before studying economy. Then, there will be no arrogant economists in the world, since they are all to serve humbly the poor.

*** *** *** ***

If Former President Mr. George W. Bush had changed the way of supervising Wall Street in 2005, the Republicans should have won the 2008 Presidential Election.

If President Mr. Barack Obama changes the way of the war in Afghanistan in 2010, the Democrats would win the 2012 Presidential Election.

As for Japan, if Premier Mr. Yukio Hatoyama should accept the old agreement with the U.S. on the new U.S. Marine base in Okinawa, including V-shaped runways on the reclaimed land, he would be able to survive. But, his attitude on his position itself would cause a 10-seat increase or decrease for his party in the coming national election. At least, the DPJ is more important than Mr. Yukio Hatoyama.

Indeed, if then premier Mr. Taro Aso had resigned before the 2009-30-8 Lower House election, the Liberal Democratic Party should have 40 or more seats (160/480) despite falling down to the opposition.

"Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him"

(Just around Tokyo)

SAVING FACE

If you become prime minister of a country with the world's second largest GDP, you cannot save face sometimes.

Japan's Prime Minister Mr. Yukio Hatoyama was praised eight months ago domestically and globally as a kind of genius who realized once half a century regime change in Japan with a revolutionary mind set.

But now, he is recognized as a man of addictive breach of the policy pledge. His approval rating has fallen to just 20% from 75% in last September.

If he cannot save his face, how can he save the face of Japan?

If he resigns today or tomorrow, he will be still remembered as a kind of genius who realized once half a century regime change in Japan with a revolutionary mind set.

But, if Mr. Yukio Hatoyama advances into the summer election and loses it, how will he be remembered in history? It can be a suicidal fight.

And, in fact, former Korean President Roh Moo-hyun actually committed a suicide after resignation in 2009 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roh_Moo-hyun.

Even former Taiwan President Mr. Chen Shui-bian was arrested and put into a jail after resignation in 2008 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chen_Shui-bian).

Or, what lessons will P.M. Mr. Hatoyama give to the world?

SECTION I: Second Stage of Regime Change in Japan

In 2009, Japan had a new prime minister someway anti-American; and the U.S. sent a new ambassador to Tokyo who had no career in diplomacy before.

Something terrible could have happened; and it has happened.

U.S. Relationship To Test Japan's New Ruling Party
by Louisa Lim

No Changes Expected By U.S.

John Roos, the new U.S. ambassador to Japan, does not think the U.S. will have a new type of relationship with Tokyo.

Roos spoke by phone to the incoming prime minister, Yukio Hatoyama, and says that, after the conversation, he is unconcerned about any lack of clarity in the DPJ's stance toward the U.S.

"I will tell you that the deep commitment of the relationship between the U.S. and Japan is there, on behalf of the DPJ, and just in the last 24 hours has been confirmed to me," Roos tells NPR.

"I really don't have the concern. The proof will be as our relationship continues to deepen, and we continue to work together on a whole load of bilateral issues going forward," he says.

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=112445057
--------

Eight months after, Ambassador to Japan Mr. John Roos has reportedly said, "P.M. Hatoyama is untrustworthy; Foreign Minister Okada is unable to fix the matter; and Defence Minister Kitazawa is out of the question!"

But, Japan is to hold an Upper House election this July or in August at the latest. After this election, it is likely that there will be no national elections till the summer of 2013, namely for three years.

So, the coming election is so important that people concerned try various prediction.

A majority of those concerned think that the ruling Democratic Party of Japan will lose seats and face. The current coalition with the Social Democratic Party and the People's New Party will also lose a majority in the Upper House.

The most likely scenario is that Mr. Hatoyama will resign before or after the election. Liberal Mr. Naoto Kan, presently Finance Minister, will assume premiership. The Buddhist New Komeito Party or/and the anti-bureaucratic Your Party will join the coalition.

But, the biggest concern is whether Mr. Ichiro Ozawa will continue to stay as Secretary General of the DPJ, since he leads the largest faction in the DPJ and has a strong influence on Mr. Hatoyama and even on Mr. Kan.

THE JAPAN'S UPPER HOUSE TOTAL SEATS: 242
-----------------------------------
After the 2010 summer election as predicted:

The DPJ Coalition Camp: 115 (or 105)
The LDP Camp: 71 (or 81)
The New Komeito: 20
The Your Party: 15
The Communist Party: 10
Tachiagare Nippon: 4
Others: 7

The DPJ will drastically lose the election, but by expanding its coalition membership to other/new parties, the DPJ will secure a majority in the Upper House while securing a 2/3 majority in the Lower House.

While the DPJ is losing confidence of voters unbearably in a large scale, it will consolidate its power base in the National Diet through expanded coalition, which is the most likely scenario.

But, this is a similar case to the ruling by the Liberal Democratic Party after the 2007 Upper House election, which actually paved the way for the 2009 regime change.

The significance is that Japan will be still reluctant to support America militarily in the War in Afghanistan but continue to be politically tolerant toward China and North Korea, which might be all however the secondary matter for Japan with a mandate for introducing more justice domestically.

SECTION II: "Osama Can Be In Washington"

One thing sure seems to be that Mr. Osama bin laden is atill at large.

TEHRAN: Iranian President Ahmedinjad rejecting the presence of Al-Qaeda Leader Osama bin Ladin in Iran said that he can be in Washington as he was close to President Bush, SAMAA reported Wednesday.

In an interview with American TV in answering a question he said Osama was doing oil business with George W Bush therefore he can be in America.

He stated that the stance of Iran with regard to Afghanistan and terrorism was very clear and news of presence of Osama in Iran was strange.

---------

Saddam Hussein tried to save face without fleeing to Paris, though France invited him before the American invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Can America eventually save face if CIA and FBI cannot find where Mr. Osama bin Laden is or whether he is alive or dead forever?

On the other hand, it is unthinkable that both Iran and Pakistan have no decisive information about Mr. Osama bin Laden.

What is then at stake in their policies pursuing war or nuclear weapons? Does it deserve their losing face each?

Derivatives Reform Would Have Dissuaded Greece, Gensler Says
March 02, 2010, 1:11 PM EST

By Dawn Kopecki

March 2 (Bloomberg) -- Greece would have been dissuaded from using swaps to obscure the country’s deficit if the $605 trillion derivatives industry were properly regulated, U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Gary Gensler said...

Gensler is gearing up for a fight in the Senate, where lawmakers are working to come up with legislation this week reining in the $605 trillion over-the-counter market.

http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-03-02/derivatives-reform-would-have-dissuaded-greece-gensler-says.html

---------

As the U.S. annual federal budget is only $3.5 trillions, just an accrual of interest at 0.6% of the $605 trillion derivatives can cover the whole expenses of the U.S. Government. Probably, dividend on interest at 3% would cover the whole global governmental expenses.

This is one end where economics disappears.

SECTION I: Status Of The UK

American elites think Japan's anti-American Prime Minister Mr. Yukio Hatoyama will lose face sooner or later.

But, it is UK P.M. Mr. Brown that has lost face first. And, President Mr. Barack Obama gladly called new U.K. P.M. Mr. Cameron as the prime minister is younger than the president.

The truth of the United Kingdom is as follows in terms of an unemployment rate and an (3-month) average wage change year on year:

In short, you can see a pattern here which is a kind of similar to the one in the U.S. which indicated inevitability of the realization of President Mr. Barack Obama, that is a "change!"

----------
The UK, with gross debt of 72.9% of GDP and a deficit likely to reach 12.6% this year, the largest in the European Union, has no such capacity – and only the IMF to turn to for a bailout.

As Moody's points out in a new report, what makes the UK so vulnerable to a sovereign debt crisis is the weakness of its banking system. Including private and public sector debt, the UK is one of the most leveraged countries in the world of debt equivalent to [400%] of GDP and a banking system still highly dependent on wholesale funding.

The Anti-Japanese Financial Times has recently laughed at Japan, saying "Ask China for financial help!"

The Anti-Japanese Financial Times has to now laugh at the U.K. or itself, saying "Ask China for financial help!"

SECTION II: Marx and Keynes

In 1971, a Japanese businessman visited the Soviet Union. While sitting on a seat in a bus during a tour, he found that a landscape looked askew through a windshield. He realized that the windshield was not uniformly thick; it had no uniform thickness. As filling one's quota was the most important thing in the communist society, such defective products were widely circulated in the Soviet Union, while Japan came to be more respected even by American consumers for high quality of Japanese products.

But, it took 20 years, since then, for the Soviet Union to totally collapse.

But, why has not the capitalism world fallen and developed into the socialist society, as predicted theoretically by Karl Marx?

It is because Karl Marx thought that citizens should be categorized effectively into the capitalists and the laborers, while there are other type of citizens like Americans and Japanese.

It is not a matter of economics but underlying or superior issues concerning the nature, environments, culture, religion, and history that decide the fate of a human society.

However, some people who learnt Keynes would say that it is because democracy forced governments in the world to continue public investments without interruption year after year, while Keynes recommended only temporary execution of public investments. A government in a democratic society needs a majority of votes from citizens, who never vote for ruling parties if put into unemployment, so that public investments cannot be stopped regardless a debt-ridden financial state of the government.

Consequently, the capitalism world has however survived so far to date, owing to great innovation in technology directly linked with production and productivity and continuous growth in demands.

But, as you see, the greatest financial crisis of the century has occurred every three years nowadays, which implies that this sort of capitalism might be finished, say, in 20 years.

By the way, do you think that Keynes really despised Marx? If so, his reference to Karl Marx is too little.

---------

"they forsook all, and followed him"

(Not a third-world city but part of Great Tokyo)

Civilization of Iron and Oil

If you have never heard or read that mankind has been in the era of iron and oil, you have not been given first-class history lessons.

(Iron rusts, so that it needs paint made of crude oil. [However, if we can apply pure iron that does not rust onto the surface of ordinary iron, we can save a great amount of crude oil all over the world.])

Accordingly, what has built and formed your view on history and the world is not excellent.

Therefore, you must not work or live in a first class environment, since what has built and formed your view on history and the world is not sufficient. If you have $10 billion, give it up. If you have $1 billion, give it up. If you have $100 million, give it up. If you have $10 million, give it up. If you have $1 million, give it up, since what has built and formed your view on history and the world is not sufficient.

But, as I have written, mankind has been in the era of iron, oil, electronics, and computer software nowadays as observed in a car, a jet plane, a building, a city, or the U.S. military.

The point at issue is that ultimately we do not need money and economists. We need scientists, engineers, production workers, sales persons, and computer programmers to run this civilization.

(Lawyers, medical doctors, professors, bureaucrats, financial sector experts, and entertainers of any sort must serve those mainstream citizens and consumers for free if possible.)

It is so, since we have had religion from the time before money and economics were invented.

(Money and economics have their ground on the failure and sins of mankind in terms of religion. Or to prevent further evil money and economics cause, Confucius, Buddha, and Jesus Christ appeared in addition to the Bibles and the Koran.)

SECTION I: Soft Iron Never Rusts

Iron is a soft metal in its pure state, which has been confirmed by a Japanese scientist a decade ago:

----------
The secret life of iron. (NEWS).
Date: Thursday, February 1 2001

Associate professor Kenji Abiko and his team at Tohoku University Institute for Materials Research have found that ultra high purity iron could be processed into giant crystals.

According to a report in The Nikkei Weekly, Japan, when a rod of 99.6% pure iron is heated and pulled in a tensile strength test, the rod at first resists the force but then gradually elongates and eventually breaks, leaving a smooth surface and a conical tip.

But when the same test is performed on a similar rod made of pure 99.9989% iron, the reaction is different. The rod suddenly elongates when pulled with a relatively weak force, then stops stretching for a time before resuming the elongation and then snapping, deforming in a way never before reported for iron.

http://www.allbusiness.com/primary-metal-manufacturing/foundries/827403-1.html
----------

By 2009, it is also confirmed that iron with purity of 99.9998% or more, namely one foreign atom among one million iron atoms, never rusts and dissolves in an hydrochloric acid solution. It has just one fifth of hardness compared to ordinary iron.

What makes iron hard is existence of impurities, which has been well known. But, the fact that pure iron is not only so soft but never rusts is for the first in human history confirmed by a Japanese scientist. He deserves a Nobel Prize.

Yet, practice of religion is a process to make one's soul pure.

Accordingly, the mind, heart, soul, and spirit of a saint is so soft and never rusts.

At the door to Heaven, every man is measured in terms of purity of his inside. Only those with purity of 99.9998% or more can be admitted, in my theory.

What beings impurity in the human mind is of course gold and its derivative money.

SECTION II: 2008 Crude Oil Production & Consumption

The top 5 countries in terms of crude oil production in 2008 are as follows:
#1...Russia......9.76 million barrels
#2..Saudi Arabia...9.18
#3...USA......4.9
#4...Iran......3.9
#5...China......3.8

The top 5 countries in terms of oil consumption in 2008 are as follows:
#1...USA......19.42 million barrels
#2...China.....8.0
#3...JAPAN......4.85
#4...Russia......2.8
#5...Germany......2.51

(Source: http://www.kawade.co.jp/np/isbn/9784309497617 )

Note that the year 2008 is the year when the Lehman Shock occurred and the crude oil was manipulated by money gamblers.

Anyway, the U.S., China, and Russia are grouped into, say, Group-A; Iran and Saudi Arabia into Group-B; and Japan and Germany into Group-C.

Group-A is oriented to military super-power. Group-B is oriented to Islamic power. Group-C is oriented to peace and prosperity.

So, the world should listen to Japan and Germany rather than the U.S., China, and Russia, or Iran and Saudi Arabia.

They say it is the spirit of economics since there is a high-level of abstraction in it.

Now you know how biased economists are, since that sort of abstraction is a mere fraction of truth about money as you know in your daily life.

A price of oil is an expression of a power balance between innocent consumers and greedy money handlers.

Karl Marx used economics as a means to drive people to destroying the European Christian society. Fools are still learning economics instead of Judaism and Christianity...since economists respect rich people while despising poor people.

"Blessed are the peacemakers: the children of God"

(Bonjour, Tokyo!!)

Small Wisdom and Large Wisdom

This is the season when everybody is tested.

From Thailand to the Philippines, further Japan to the U.S. and the U.K., and all around Greece, every party concerned is tested.

Even U.S. Secretary of the Transportation today visited the headquarters of Toyota Motor Corporation in Toyota City, Aichi Pref., Japan.

SECTION I: Japanese Security

During World War II, the Empire of Japan fought against the United States to do its justice, no matter how it was judged by history, since the U.S. helped China who had first started a military attack on Japanese and Western citizens living in Shanghai in 1932 and 1937.

Even during the Battle of Okinawa (Mary 16 - June 23, 1945) 12,520 U.S. and allied soldiers were killed (including one commander general) and 72,012 U.S. and allied soldiers were wounded, while 94.000 Japanese civilians were killed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Okinawa

I-1. Japan's Enemy

The countries which would invade the Japanese economic waters are Russia, South Korea, China, and Taiwan if Japan should not try to defend itself by foolishly interpreting its Pacifist Constitution (which cannot be a suicidal constitution).

The countries which would apply military pressure and extract a political concession from Japan are the U.S., Russia, South Korea, China, and North Korea if Japan should not try to defend itself by foolishly interpreting its Pacifist Constitution (which cannot be a suicidal constitution).

The countries which would like to make Japan a historical enemy so as to turn attentions of their people from their domestic problems are the U.S., Russia, South Korea, China, and North Korea if Japan should not try to defend itself.

However the security partnership of Japan and the United States could solve most of the defense issues against the U.S. itself, Taiwan, and Korea, since it implies a Japan's choice for mutual prosperity with those countries based on the principle of American-Christianity-based democracy and Anglo-Saxon-Judaistic economic paradigm.

I-2. Japan's Responsibility for Far East Security

South Korea needs the U.S. military support and Japan's backup to maintain peace with North Korea, while leaders of China needs North Korea as their military vanguard, and leaders of North Korea needs enemies out of South Korea and its allies to maintain its dictatorship.

Taiwan needs the U.S. military support and Japan's backup to maintain peace with China, while Chinese leaders justify their rule based on the historical war and victory against those who fled to Taiwan from the Chinese Continent after the civil war in 1940's.

As Taiwan and South Korea were ruled by the Empire of Japan before the end of WWII, they do not like to solicit military aid directly from Japan. They rather opt for the combined support from Japan and the U.S.

I-3. The United States

The U.S. cannot neglect a potential that Japan or China might become a sole major military power in the Far East, driving out the U.S. military presence.

The Far East is the truly hot zone with Japan, China, Korea, and Taiwan where many world-leading businesses are established like Toyota, Honda, Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, and so on. Friendly relationships with the Far East is now essential for the U.S. economy.

To make business smoothly and favorably, the U.S. must be respected as the most influential player in the Far East. China only respects a stronger and richer country than itself. The U.S. must keep strong military presence in this region in this context.

As the Chinese Communist Party does not even allow American Christian missionaries freely act and work in China, it is out of question for the U.S. to trust China 100% while expanding its economic tie with China.

If America has no military bases in the Far East, will China observe any political rules the U.S. has so far introduced and promoted? Chinese Naval fleets will dare to patrol around Hawaii and off California, requesting every concession from the U.S. Government and American businesses. Every violation of international trade rules and treaties might be the first step of China's future lawless economic invasion of mainland America.

If China regards the U.S. as a coward, they would even sell out all the U.S. Treasury Bonds it has now, causing the collapse of the U.S. financial system and the value of dollars as the first step of China's future lawless political invasion of mainland America.

The United States needs military bases in Japan and South Korea if not in Taiwan. But the cause lies in China rather than in the U.S.: its anti-Christian philosophy.

I-4. Interim Conclusions

Japan should not take lightly American military presence in the Far East.

However, relocation of one or two divisions of the U.S. Marine Corps can be completed in a few days during times of war.

In principle, the U.S. Marine Air Station with a mile-long runway can be moved to anywhere with a comparable size in a few days during times of war.

If the U.S. President orders a commander of a Marine division to move anywhere as soon as possible, the commander will find a mile-long runway in any appropriate location to move there in a few days, which is essential for military capability.

So, ideally, President Mr. Barack Obama should order the commander of the Marine division stationed in Okinawa to move immediately to South Korea and Taiwan, since Okinawa itself can be protected by the Japanese Self-Defence Forces.

(Note: The approval rate of the Hatoyama Cabinet has fallen to 20.5% this weekend. If the U.S. should reject any proposal from P.M. Mr. Yukio Hatoyama on the U.S. Marine base relocation within or outside Okinawa at the end of May, his approval rate will surely touch a 10% level, since this relocation was promised 15 years ago to make residents around the base live safer from accidents or crimes by U.S. Marines.

In either case, it will be difficult for P.M. Mr. Hatoyama to keep his position till this autumn when President Mr. Obama plans to come to Tokyo for an APEC conference and further visit Hiroshima or Nagasaki.)

SECTION II: Acts of God over 200,000 Years

I purchased a book yesterday that discusses eruptions of volcanoes, termination of animals, and outbreaks of human population over 200,000 years.

For example, the ancient Mesopotamian Civilization started to collapse 4000 years ago due to brine damage. At the time, the Euphrates could not carry out sufficiently salty compounds of the ground to the sea any more. The size of crops drastically decreased. Cities could not be sustained any more. The clan of Abraham and others were forced to move, eventually, to Palestine.

Even today, the salinity of the Persian Gulf is 4.2% or more, the highest in the world as with the Res Sea!

As for volcanoes, a famous picture by Edvard Munch reflects the effect on the sky over Norway of a great volcanic eruption in Indonesia in May 1883, which caused an average temperature drop by 0.5 to 0.8 degrees Centigrade in the north hemisphere.

Today, there are three great dormant volcanoes which could cause a similar devastating effect:
1. Yellowstone, USA
2. Yosemite, USA
3. Naples, Italy

Especially the volcanic area near Naples has a 15-km diameter crater, 150 times larger than Mt. Vesuvius.
http://www.volcano.si.edu/world/volcano.cfm?vnum=0101-01=

Mankind should be prepared for the coming great eruptions each of which would half destroy U.S. economy or European economy.

Unless Mt. Fuji responds to anger of the God, I suppose, the Far East is the best place on the earth for prosperity of mankind.

SECTION III: Greek Crisis

The Greek Crisis is not a crisis of capitalism like in the case of the Lehman Shock.

It is a crisis of seeking selfish riches and pursuing irresponsible money by, or involving, a majority of citizens as well as capitalists.

If a man, a worker or a capitalist, leaves God, only money can be his destination. And, money can be obtained without hard working, easily through consumer credit.

----------
The other weakness of Greek capitalism is revealed by its heavy dependence on the state. The Greek bourgeoisie developed much later than the stronger more powerful national bourgeoisies of countries like Britain, France and Germany. The backward nature of Greek capitalism has always meant therefore that private capital required massive subsidies from the state...

The then deputy governor of the Bank of Greece (the central bank), Panayotis Thomopoulos, was boasting that, "Greece has 55% of the European average in relation to consumer credit as a percentage of GDP, so there is still some way to go...

Now these two sources of economic growth, state spending and credit from the banks, have dried up. They have gone beyond the limit of what is materially possible. The banks are in crisis and the state is overburdened with debt.

http://www.socialist.net/the-crisis-of-greek-capitalism-2010.htm
----------

The Greek Crisis is not a crisis of capitalism, since there is no such a thing as capitalism.

There are only willingness, desire, planning, actions, and pursuit of happy, very happy, and super happy life by citizens, rich people and capitalists neglecting the poorer.

Historically, the concept of capitalism helps citizens, rich people and capitalists pursue money and a legally unlimited amount of money neglecting the poorer.

They say, "This is capitalism not my wrong doing!"

But, there is no such a thing as capitalism, since there is only pursuit of money and a legally unlimited amount of money neglecting the poorer.

Economics should stop serving capitalism, if any.

(No discussion about a legally allowed limit on money in capitalism means economics is incomplete and thus its subordinate concept capitalism is. It is a kind of description of reality and possibility without any guiding principle. The status of economics and capitalism must be first questioned. Do you call your desire capitalism using logics and formulae?)

Yesterday, a diplomatic expert said in a TV program, "President Obama showed signs of temper or an anger when he talked with Prime Minister Hatoyama in Washington D.C. recently (since Hatoyama did not keep his words)..."

But, notable Japanese journalist Mr. Soichiro Tahara wrote, "P.M. Mr. Hatoyama is going to fix the Futenma issue on the U.S. Marine base and then fire the Secretary General Mr. Ichiro Ozawa (since Mr. Ozawa is so unpopular while so influential in the ruling DPJ)...and only one of Mr. Hatoyama and Mr. Ozawa seems to be able to survive this season..."

Indeed, Japanese journalists are also being tested as with the Obama Administration in the era of three G2s (Japan-USA, USA-China, and Japan-China).

It is so, since this is the era that a crisis once in a century occures every three year surpassing each preceding one.

Who Killed Sakamoto Ryoma?

Sakamoto Ryoma (the family name is Sakamoto) is respected by so many Japanese, especially ambitious politicians of today.

He played a decisive role when the last samurai regime fell and Imperial samurais established a new (Meiji) government that drove whole Japan to modernization and Westernization in late 1860's.

However Sakamoto Ryoma was assassinated in 1867 by officially unknown samurais in Kyoto.

The greatness of his contribution to the Meiji Restoration and this mysterious tragedy has made Ryoma one of the greatest heroes in the Japanese history.

Even today, books and TV programs on the subject of this last samurai hero are newly produced and delivered every year. On the Internet, Japanese are discussing Ryoma and his personal magentism in various sites. And, I found a very interesting blog run by a writer.

Sakamoto Ryoma appeared in a dream of Empress Meiji, namely a great-grandmother of His Majesty the Emperor, when the Japan-Russo War was fought between 1904 and 1905. Ryoma encouraged the anxious Empress, promising his heavenly support to the Empire and its Navy, though in her dream.

The eventual victory of the Empire of Japan over the Russian Empire was virtually decided in the Naval Battle of Tsushima, while Ryoma was well known for his pioneering adventure into overseas trade using modern steam ships. Empress Meiji was also known as a fan of the Imperial Navy. (Meiji Emperor liked the Imperial Army far better than the Imperial Navy.) The father of the wife of Ryoma had been put in a jail in Kyoto for a political reason by the Tokugawa samurai regime, and the father of Meiji Empress had had the same experience. When Ryoma was assassinated at the age 33, Meiji Empress was 17, the both living and acting around Kyoto.

So, though Sakamoto Ryoma was then known only mostly to elite samurais and activists as a unique independent samurai who could import thousands of modern rifles from England and act on an advanced political idea, there was no denying a possibility that Empress Meiji had some information about Ryoma who could even influence the fate of the Imperial family of the era.

And, when another big hero of the Meiji Restoration, Takamori Saigo (Saigo is the family name), tragically died fightinng against the Imperial troops in the last civil war in Japan in 1877, Emperor Meiji forgave Saigo, but Empress Meiji did not.

Saigo had been however virtually the top commander of Imperial samurais in the 1868 civil war against the Tokugawa samurai regime, but a decade after the establishment of the Imperial Meiji Government, he became the top leader of insurgent ex-samurais against the Tokyo Imperial Government. Saigo's forces were defeated after fierce battles, and Saigo himself honorably committed a harakiri suicide in his home land Kagoshima. Yet, as his personality was too great and his contribution to the Imperial Restoration was so greater, Emperor Meiji forgave him as the general public did. But, Empress Meiji did not.

The reason seems to be that Takamori Saigo was the very person who had ordered the assassination of the great swordman but also handgun armed Sakomoto Ryoma, his old friend but also a possible friend of the Tokugawa clan.

Sakamoto Ryoma must have been a great hero for Empress Meiji, too. And, the only reason why the Empress showed explicitly such a dislike for the very popular hero General Saigo her husband Meiji Emperor forgave despite the civil war seems to be that she believed that Army General Takamori Saigo was the very person who had ordered the assassination of Sakomoto Ryoma, using special samurai swordsmen of the Tokugawa camp as assassins in Kyoto in 1867 (which is of course a great conspiracy for all involved).

This is what I was thinking of today (though I sometimes watched TV), as you must know.

(Any Japanese will respect you, a foreigner, if you have any knowledge of Sakamoto Ryoma or Takamori Saigo, though even not as power behind the assassination of Ryoma...)
