Jesus Christ out of Tomb to Save the World - 3
If you buy a map in Japan, you will see the Japanese archipelago located at the center of the map. On the left hand side is the Eurasia continent, and on the right are the Pacific Ocean and the New World. The Atlantic is split at the both horizontal end of the map.
You will soon realize the belt area running from Japan to Morocco through China, Indochina, India, the Middle East, and North Africa is not a Christian domain.
The only exception is the Philippines, a Catholic country (though with many descent Muslims in it), situated east of Indochina in the ocean.
North of this belt is Europe and Siberia including Russia: the conventional Christian domain.
The two belts are running almost parallel across Asia, Europe, and a half of Africa, that is, from the east to the west of the Old World. But, it is very strange that Jesus Christ could not work on the lower belt, while He is God.
* * *
At least Jesus’ influence should be found in the area now occupied by Muslims.
And, if an underlying influence of Jesus Christ is found on Islam, the world might look different.
* * *
Jesus Christ is God for Christians, a prophet for Muslims, and just one fellow being for Israelites.
He worked as such for each of those who were later called early Christians, those who would become underlying believers for future Islam, and those who would be to remain as Israelites forever, respectively.
Why could it be possible? It is because He is God, and thus he could be God, a prophet, and a fellow being at his will according to needs of people.
Therefore, for Muslims, “Jesus” is nothing but a human prophet; for Israelites, “Jesus” is nothing but a fellow being, which is truly an act of God.
* * *
In my theory, when Jesus Christ got out of the tomb and met with His disciples to give final blessings as God in a human form, He let his Spirit of God ascend to heaven and walked into regions east of Palestine as a prophet.
As a prophet, He performed untold but decisive work on people who turned to be a base for future propagation of Islam.
As a fellow Israelite, He also visited descendants of lost tribes of ancient Israelites in order to help them keep their traditions.
* * *
In the first century of the Christian Era, there were Roman Empire in the west and Kingdom of Parthia in the east. But, there were no strong Arab countries. Iran, then called Parthia, had a long history as a political entity with overwhelming power in the ancient Middle East that no Arabs then could match.
(If ancient Persians defeated Greeks in 490 BC, there should not have been the Roman Empire and there could not been even current EU.)
Then, why would Persians later come to adopt a religion called Islam that was established and developed by Arabs who had never conquered Iran until the seventh century?
Would people employ a new and strange religion developed by other race that had never been superior to them in terms of culture and politics? But, later in the seventh century, Persians did.
* * *
So, I suppose that there had been a special condition that persuaded Persians to adopt a foreign religion while abandoning their traditional one.
When we think of the history of religions in Persia, this enigma looms as a problem that admits of no solution.
But, my solution is that “Prophet Jesus” preached there 600 years before the arrival of Islam at Persia. Persians had been prepared for the opportunity by “Prophet Jesus.”
Of course, revival of Zoroastrianism and establishment of Manichaeism in the third century must be also influenced by this work of “Prophet Jesus” in the era of Parthia, that is, the first century AD, in my understanding.
* * *
One of the most serious mysteries of the world is religious conversion of Persians to Islam in the seventh century. No one would rather connect it with the mysterious resurrection of Jesus Christ in the first century.
But, this is my theory so far God has not stopped me from contending to the world in the 21st century.
Persians, one of Aryan tribes, might have been crueler to neighboring Arabs in wars and battles without the common religion. In this point of view, the work of “Prophet Jesus” in Parthia, if so admitted by people concerned, was truly an act of a savior.
* * *
Muslims might not like this theory. But, “Prophet Jesus,” in addition to Abraham and Moses, was mentioned in the Koran. And, I don't say that Jesus Christ did it, but “Prophet Jesus” did.
Anyway, Islam came after Christianity; without Judaism and Christianity, no Islam was possible from the beginning, from a historical point of view.
If God allows, I may further tell you some soon, so soon.

Jesus Christ out of Tomb to Save the World - 2
Jesus Christ out of Tomb to Save the World - 2
Some people believe that Jesus Christ traveled to Kashmir, a border area between Pakistan and India, after He had been restored to life from death on the cross (e.g. http://www.geocities.com/emerging.geo/savior.html).
Kashmir is one of places, some people believe, where a certain lost tribe of ancient Jews traveled and survived.
Names of local places, traditions of people, and some folklore in Kashmir seem to constitute evidence for the above argument.
However, it is not certain if the so-called Jesus’ tomb in a town of Kashmir, so believed to be and accordingly maintained, is really the one.
* * *
The recent great tsunami disaster on Indian Ocean coast lines and the subsequent large earthquake in Northeast Pakistan are, in this context, very suggestive, though they took out many human lives and we are extremely sorry for the victims.
Kashmir is located in Northeast Pakistan and is full of Muslims. And most of victims of the great tsunami disaster were Muslims.
Nonetheless, I think that these incidents might imply something holy in terms of the region and the religion.
* * *
Proponents of this idea pay special attention to Jesus’ words: “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
They believe that Jesus Christ after resurrection visited descendants of ancient Jews that had fled eastward after ancient Kingdom of Israel had been defeated by Assyria in 721 B.C.
* * *
I really think that Jesus Christ traveled eastward as a savior after resurrection, while his disciples mostly traveled westward.
Jesus Christ must have visited Southern Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and as far as Kashmir. In these areas, even today, we can see Judaists or legends concerning ancient Jews.
Interestingly, His passage resembles that of Alexander the Great. Therefore, it is not impossible physically or logically. Jesus Christ is greater than Alexander the Great, isn’t He?
* * *
However, I am not sure if He spent the rest of His life until His death in Kashmir so as to be buried there.
But the point of this issue is that Jesus Christ, as the savior, must not have neglected people living east of Israel while his disciples were mainly preaching west of Israel. Europe was directly blessed by his disciples; but what about people in the Middle East and Southwest Asia?
Even Alexander the Great marched into those areas, didn't he? His world-scale expedition, as the first in history, had massive and various cultural influences on people therein in the era.
Then, why not Jesus Christ, in terms of doing them a holy favor?
* * *
The headquarters of a terrorist group involved in 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001, with a magnitude of influence comparable with the great tsunami and earthquake disasters, are now believed to be in or around Kahimir, the earthquake-hit area.
Only a region with special, religious tradition might give unconditional relief to anybody, implication of which is however very serious.
* * *
Nonetheless, significance of Jesus’ out of a tomb to preach in the East of Palestine is not limited here.
I will tell you more soon, yes, quite soon.

Jesus Christ out of Tomb to Save the World
Jesus Christ out of Tomb to Save the World
The most significant mystery of Jesus’ story the Bible reports is what actually happened at the tomb where he had been buried after crucifixion.
According to the Mark’s version of the report (of the King James version):
“And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.
And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.
And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.
And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.”
* * *
The most controversial part is that passage: “Behold the place where they laid him.”
This part reminds us of the Holy Shroud in Turin or Torino, or other similar thing. Unless there had been a very significant thing worth attention of those women, the young man should not have dictated them to see it. It could be an image of Jesus Christ on a large piece of linen cloth that had been used to wrap His body.
I suppose that this young man, probably one of descent Israelites then, had come to the site earlier than the women. He must help Jesus Christ come back to life again by rolling a large stone placed at the entrance to the cave-like tomb and handing a new suit of clothes to Jesus Christ. As the noble young man had been exposed to some special heat and radiation of light caused by revitalization processes of Jesus’ body, his clothes turned to white, in my interpretation.
Why did the young man come to the sepulcher? It is because he got a message or vision of God who told him to do so, probably in his dream.
* * *
Where, then, did Jesus Christ go after His last appearance to His disciples in Galilee?
That is the most important mystery of the history of mankind. Based on the very next move of Jesus Christ, the whole 2000-year history since then was established.
I have an idea about it.
I will tell you soon, very soon; but not this time, for it is very extraordinary not only in fact relevance but also in its implication.
We have to well prepare ourselves for an important mission.

Christian Mystery and Prophecies of Malachi
Christian Mystery and Prophecies of Malachi
According to WIKIPEDIA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Da_Vinci_code):
“The Da Vinci Code is a mystery/detective novel by American author Dan Brown, published in 2003 by Doubleday Fiction. It is a worldwide bestseller with more than 60.5 million copies in print (as of May 2006) and has been translated into 44 languages.”
Last year, a pope died in Rome. And according to Prophecies of Malachi, the incumbent pope may be second to the last in history.
No one knows whether the prophecy is true or what becomes of mankind if it is true.
But it seems to have served as an underlying condition for the success of the work by the American author.
* * *
Currently, mankind has oil and foods enough to allow those with power and wealth to give little thought about their future lives. Those people think that their rich lives are assured during their lifetime.
Therefore, people with any degree of wealth and power basically do not mind if we have only two popes left in the human history.
It is because they think there are sufficient amounts of energy and foods in their hands, which no popes can do anything with.
* * *
However, God can do.
In my view, the pope looks like a Roman emperor 2000 years ago. He looks more so than a homeless savior having been preaching to poor or abandoned people 2000 years ago.
In my judgment, the pope is a symbol of the historical fact that Roman Empire was conquered by Jesus Christ. For 2000 years, every successor of the Empire has been forced to commemorate the victory of Jesus Christ; and thus the pope must look like a Roman emperor.
* * *
You might think that a certain secret has been passed from Jesus Christ to his direct disciples and then all the way down to the current pope.
There might be, but it should be only related to those who have been assigned to the commemorating mission. It should be only related to maintenance of discipline in the last remnant of Roman Empire, that is, Vatican City.
For example, the secret might be a Jesus' advice: "Be a Rock."
If such a secret is more important, Jesus Christ should have sent other servants to the human world at any point of history and have them widely announce it.
In any cases, he doesn't need his children in order to pass a secret.
(Anyway, it is not his wife and children that can save the world, if he had any. And if he had such a wife and children that cannot save the world, who would respect Jesus Christ? Therefore, to believers, Jesus Christ has neither a wife nor children.)
* * *
Most of rich people think that they can live rich and die rich in the 21st century even if we don’t have any popes for some reasons.
It is because they are now living in super-mighty systems that are supported by enough oil and foods in addition to modern technology.
Any such work as “The Da Vinci Code” can be an opportunity for entertainment for them, but it looks very pagan.
* * *
If Jesus Christ, himself, comes back to the human world or another Christ comes to this world, no popes will be allowed to exercise the title and its authority any more. It will be the end of the mission of Vatican City.
Prophecies of Malachi might be telling when the Christ will return to the world again, since he left it 2000 years ago.
“No popes” means Christ himself takes the chair. Otherwise, the end of the world may be near, at least, logically.

Presidential Election, the Ehimemaru, and Afghanistan
Presidential Election, the Ehimemaru, and Afghanistan
After the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the East Coast, some people remembered passages in the book “Moby Dick” written by Herman Melville just before the Civil War:
…
"Call me Ishmael." (Moby Dick, by Herman Melville, page 1.)
…
It came in as a sort of brief interlude and solo between more extensive performances. I take it that this part of the bill must have run something like this:
"Grand Contested Election for the Presidency of the United States.
"WHALING VOYAGE BY ONE ISHMAEL."
"BLOODY BATTLE IN AFFGHANISTAN."
…
* * *
What now I mind is similarity between the sailor’s name ISHMAEL and the EHIMEMARU, a 191-foot fishery training boat of a Japanese high school.
The Ehimemaru was hit by a USS submarine off Honolulu in February, 2001, losing nine lives including high school students.
* * *
Therefore, the headlines should be:
"In 2000, Grand Contested Election for the Presidency of the United States."
"In early 2001, Tragic Voyage by the Ehimemaru."
"In late 2001, Bloody Battle in Afghanistan."
This way, the 9/11 tragedy was foretold through Herman Melville just before the opening of Japan to the world in the late 19th century.
The whale hunting ship Ishmael had embarked on chased and tried to kill a gigantic white whale named Moby Dick, an enemy of long standing of the ship’s captain’s. But the ship was destroyed and all the crew except Ishmael was killed by Moby Dick in the area of the Pacific Ocean near Japan.
The story told some backgrounds of the era when Japan was forced to open its door to the world in the wake of arrival of the black ships of Commodore Perry from the U.S. So, this novel, famous in the U.S., is also well known in Japan.
* * *
It is also known that the submarine that hit and sank the Ehimemaru was at that time operating for orientation cruise. Its guests of the day were mainly from Texas and related to the oil industry.
Therefore, believability concerning the foretelling might be further strengthened. Especially, you should be aware of this association: Pearl Harbor attacks, 9/11 terrorist attacks, and the War on Terror.
* * *
In the novel, there was another interesting sailor on board the whale hunting ship. The sailor, Starbuck, was a moderate man who loved coffee. Accordingly, his name was adopted by a certain coffeehouse franchise company, as everybody knows.
Even the Chinese President, in an interview at Seattle, reportedly told that he would frequently go out for coffee to Starbuck’s if he was not president.
* * *
Herman Melville, once having lived at a plot later occupied by the World Trade Center in New York, seems to have been a mysterious messenger sent to the year 2001.
If you can completely comprehend the message or the headlines, you may be of great help for mankind placed by fate in the same boat.
But, reading “Moby Dick,” for example, at a Starbuck’s does not suit my nature; you, too, had better read EEE-reports.

Sun Tzu and “Go”
Sun Tzu and “Go”
Chinese President Hu Jintao presented a book written by Sun Tzu to Mr. Bill Gates, when the Chinese leader visited the U.S. recently.
Sun Tzu is a philosopher on war in China of the sixth century BC.
Sun Tzu is regarded by many in Japan as being superior to Carl Phillip Gottlieb von Clausewitz who wrote a book titled “On War” in the early 19th century.
* * *
In the last section of his book, Sun Tzu wrote that if a nation is defeated in a war, it will not be completely restored; and a dead man never comes back alive.
Therefore, he contended, a wise lord will refrain from resorting to a war, and an excellent general will halt the proceeding to a war.
Then, he concluded that refraining from resorting to a war and halting the proceeding to a war are the way to secure a nation.
* * *
The most popular teaching of Sun Tzu in Japan is that running away or taking flight is better than any other strategies.
And, Mr. Bill Gates, soon after the meeting with Mr. Hu Jintao in Seattle, flew to Japan to meet some business leaders, while the Chinese President was flying to Washington D.C.
* * *
As for me, sometimes I play go against a computer on a PC, but not on a game machine such as an Xbox (which has not been suitable for playing go).
And, I always confirm in the game that running away or taking flight is better than any other strategies.

Bullying in German High Schools
Bullying in German High Schools
Last night I saw a news program on TV.
A high school girl in Germany said that some students have been bullied and got subject to discrimination. “It is due to clothing they wear,” said the girl with a clear-cut face, though not blonde.
A teacher of the German high school told that introduction of the school uniform would reduce that kind of troubles among students.
* * *
Germany looks locked somehow geographically, while the nation has a huge potential of expansion of its human energy and activities.
The U.K. is faced with the Atlantic and the world beyond; France and Spain are faced with the Atlantic and the Mediterranean as well as the world beyond; and even Italy with the Mediterranean and the world beyond. But Germany, once called the Great Roman Empire, is only surrounded by other European countries.
* * *
As Japan is faced with the vast Pacific Ocean leading to the New Continents as well as the great Eurasian continent over the Sea of Japan and the East China Sea, its people are fundamentally enjoying a healthy and natural atmosphere.
But, it is true that there are a few children who commit a suicide in Japan almost every year because of bullying at school.

Jesus Christ said when you are bullied because of your being faithful you should be blessed; and thus you should forgive enemies.
In my view, without faith, situations should be basically different eventually.
“It Was the Envy of Every Tree in Garden of Eden”
Last night I saw a news program on TV.
A high school girl in Germany said that some students have been bullied and got subject to discrimination. “It is due to clothing they wear,” said the girl with a clear-cut face, though not blonde.
A teacher of the German high school told that introduction of the school uniform would reduce that kind of troubles among students.

* * *

Getting a Goal or Making Money
Getting a Goal or Making Money
Japan was defeated by Bulgaria last night.
The succor match resulted in 1 to 2 defeat of the Japanese national team, though the team was not joined by Nakamura and Nakata this time.
I didn’t see the game on TV until it entered an extension period after the 90 minute length of the game. However, the coach of the Japanese team Zico (Arthur Antunes Coimbra) was smiling, shaking hands with a coach of the Bulgarian team.
It is apparent that Nakamura had a talent to perform the sport skillfully, which is very rare among Japanese football players.
Nakata has a sufficient mind-set and strength to compete on an international stage, which is not so common among Japanese football players.
* * *
Everybody in the world knows that the aim of this sport is to crash home, or kick, push, or carry a ball into the goal without one’s hand: nothing more and nothing less in terms of virtue including something other than victory.
However, there may be some in this world who think their process of making money is simpler than a football player’s scoring a goal (, which is bad and very bad).

Mexico, McDonald’s, and Abductions Here and There
Mexico, McDonald’s, and Abductions Here and There
There are many Mexico-related sites presented in Japan on the Internet.
You simply type “MEXICO (or MEKISHIKO)” in Japanese into a key word field for search; then you can get, for example, 390,000 results.
One of them is a page providing an article written (in Japanese) by a researcher of Keio University, Tokyo, Japan.
The author named the article “Mexican Society Well Observed through McDonald’s.”
(http://www.clb.law.mita.keio.ac.jp/izuokazemi/study/pdf/otuka.pdf)
* * *
The hamburger franchises are something somehow appealing to everybody, but not many would rather think and try to write an academic article titled “Mexican Society Observed through McDonald’s.” In this sense, this article may be unique.
Through her study on McDonald’s shops, the author found that Mexican society is white-men dominated.
The majority, or 63%, of citizens of Mexico City consists of the lower-income group and the lowest-income group. They have no luxury of buying hamburgers at McDonald’s, but they have motives for working at McDonald’s.
Super-rich people, consisting of the highest 3% of Mexican society, are highly concerned with security, thus looking less interested in McDonald’s. To visit a hamburger franchise with armed guards must look bizarre.
But the higher-income group and the middle class seem to love to visit McDonald’s shops. It is because the shop provides a safe playground for their children. McDonald’s franchises are indeed aimed at providing foods and a sense of fellowship for these higher-than-poor classes of white people in Mexico; and they are doing well in business and increasing the number of franchises, according to her article.
* * *
She also mentioned the following fact:
In 2003, Republic of Columbia suffered 4,000 abduction cases, which is the worst in Latin America.
In 2003, the United Mexican States suffered 3,000 abduction cases, which is next to the worst in Latin America.
* * *
There were 29,000 McDonald’s franchises worldwide, making the sales of about US$40 billion, as of the end of 2001.
In Japan, it is said that there are more than 3,700 McDonald’s franchises.
But, in addition to about 40,000 convenience stores, like Seven-Eleven, in Japan, there are a lot of other thriving franchises selling hamburgers as well as other fast foods. If McDonald’s franchises all disappear in Japan, nobody will be troubled.
* * *
Rashes of kidnapping cases have strangely become a factor for success of a hamburger franchise in Mexico.
Some abduction cases of Japanese nationals by North Korea might become a factor for a certain, hard-line political movement in Japan and the U.S., which, however, I still hope for to be settled peacefully.

Ms. Megumi Yokota in North Korea
Ms. Megumi Yokota in North Korea
President George W. Bush invited the mother of Ms. Megumi Yokota, one of many Japanese abductees by North Korea.
The scene in the White House was televised in Japan so many times from every key station.
President took about 30 minutes to have a listen to petition from the deprived, Japanese old lady who had even been converted to Christianity through her agony of losing her then junior-high school daughter having been spirited off on her way back from a school.
* * *
The supreme leader of North Korea, when he met Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi in P'yongyang in 2002 and 2004, admitted that his agents had abducted Ms. Megumi Yokota in 1977 as part of a covert operation.
(Despite these efforts, the Japanese premier is yet to succeed in establishing diplomatic relations with North Korea.)
North Korea needed various types of Japanese to learn accurate and suitable use of the Japanese language which is so delicate that a foreign speaker, including North Korean agents conducting espionage worldwide, might be easily so identified.
North Korea officially announced that Ms. Megumi Yokota had committed a suicide by hanging herself in a garden of a mental hospital in the capital of Democratic People's Republic of Korea, that is North Korea, in 1993.
They presented her bones to Japanese Government that her husband, whom she had married in North Korea, collected and kept after having dredged them up from a tomb where her dead body burnt to ash had been buried. But the bones turned out to be false after DNA examination by Japanese authorities very recently.
Ms. Megumi Yokota must be alive in North Korea, as with her daughter being separated due to divorce.
* * *
However, the abduction cases involving North Korean agents had been long neglected in Japan.
The Yokotas were first informed in 1997 of the fact that their daughter had been abducted by North Korea. It is a secretary of a Japanese Communist Party’s law maker that provided the reliable information for, and helped the Yokotas in organizing an action group of abductees’ families.
The secretary of a Japanese Communist Party’s legislator was later fired by his Party for his asking an officer of a division of the National Police Agency, in charge of keeping watch on the Party, to help him find a new job after retirement from the Party. (Once the Japanese Communist Party was an apparent enemy of the Japanese police.)
* * *
In the United States, it is said that the Korean War is a forgotten war. But, it is yet to officially declare end of the war, while about 30,000 U.S. troops are stationed on the Korean Peninsula.
One particular incident during the Korean War is that when General Douglas MacArthur almost decided to use atomic (nuclear) bombs to destroy supply routes in territories of China, then U.S. President Harry S. Truman fired the legendary general to stop the use of atomic bombs.
* * *
Everybody says that Cuban Crises in 1962 has been the only danger that a nuclear war might have broken out.
But, such probability must have been more real in the borader area pulling in China, North Korea, and Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in 1951, just six years after the first use of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, while the same president that had ordered the atomic-bomb attacks on Imperial Japan was still in the White House.
* * *
No U.S. media reportedly covered in earnest the visit by the mother of Ms. Megumi Yokota to the White House.
However, they would eagerly report anything that might happen in a large scale at the border located 700Km or 400 miles east of the capital of China, Beijing or Peking, which offers huge market to U.S. and Japanese corporations.

Trial Counting on Invisible Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Patients
Trial Counting on Invisible Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Patients
In Japan, there has been a strong concern about safety of American beef.
On TV, on the Internet, and in the newspapers and magazines, possibility of existence of mad-cow disease in the U.S. and admissibility of import of US beef have become one of big issues in Japan.
Since bony chops were found at the Narita Airport in a beef package imported from the U.S., import of U.S. beef has been officially suspended.
The spiral code in a bone of a cow is apt to collect a special type of protein that causes bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) or a serious brain damage.
* * *
In Japan, all the cows are inspected before they are put into meat processing. But, in the U.S., such measures are reportedly considered to be unnecessary.
There is a special law in the U.S., which is called the Food-Disparagement Law. As was shown in a case concerned with a very popular American TV personality, if you say something that puts a food company into a disadvantage without concrete scientific proof, you can be sued by the food company based on this law.
Therefore, it is very difficult to express your concern that an unusual pattern of findings of the Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) in the U.S., if so discovered, might suggest existence of mad cows and related BSE there.
* * *
Sporadic CJD which has nothing to do with mad cows is said to be observed in one person among a million. So, even if you find 300 CJD patients in the U.S., they might have nothing to do with mad cows and BSE that appears with a symptom of CJD caused by prion protein in their meat.
But, if there is something controversial in those medical cases, even without concrete scientific evidences, most Japanese consumers will not buy American beef, no matter if Japanese Government allows U.S. beef companies to sell their products in the Japanese market.
It is because Japanese want higher quality of food and service in addition to sufficient respect for consumers.
* * *
A Japanese engineer working in the U.S. wrote that he had heard of two CJD patients from his friends and clients in two years. In his small circle of human relationship, he wrote, finding two CJD patients seemed to be very grave.
If the number of his acquaintances and those covered by his acquaintances is, say, 1000. There might be 300,000 CJD patients in the U.S. (300,000,000 / 1000 = 300,000) or 600,000. Then, it might be 1000 or 2000 times larger than the rationally assumed number of onsets of CJD that are not caused by mad cow beef.
* * *
I believe that U.S. food companies are doing their best to offer the safest foods in the world to their clients, including European Americans, African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and other immigrants.
They should advertise their efforts to keep their reputation, by giving correct, relevant statistics with persuasive medical reports, for example, on CJD or BSE.
* * *
According to USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) or the Center for Global Food Issues (http://www.mad-cow-facts.com/faq.htm), U.S. beef is extremely safe:
“Q: What are the risks to the U.S. food supply as a result of this detection?
A: USDA remains confident in the safety of the U.S. food supply. The risk to human health from BSE is extremely low. As is standard practice for downer animals identified prior to slaughter, the animal's brain, spinal cord, and other related products were removed and sent to a rendering facility. These so-called "specified risk materials" present the greatest risk of carrying the BSE agent and have not entered U.S. food supply channels. The scientific community believes that there is no evidence to demonstrate that muscle cuts or whole muscle meats that come from animals infected with BSE are at risk of harboring the causative agent of the disease.”
* * *
According to a poll, most of Japanese consumers do not want their Government to permit the import of U.S. beef unless they get enough confidence.
Again, CJD in the U.S. might have nothing to do with BSE. But, there is a report that is very significant as above stated. And, it leads to simple calculation and inference.
* * *
So far as now, among 4.5 million cows in Japan (against 95 million cows in the U.S.), 25 mad cows have been identified. But, as all the cows are inspected in Japan before they are put into meat processing, consumers are enjoying beef.
As for me, rice and fish, a traditional Japanese menu, looks more blessed.

The End of the World Probably Began in August 1990
The End of the World Probably Began in August 1990
Whenever I recall the recent history of the world, I wonder how strange it is that the world has now a very concerned person, former president of Iraq Saddam Hussein, in custody in Baghdad.
Mr. Saddam Hussein’s army invaded Kuwait on August 2, 1990. Then the Persian Gulf War erupted. The war had a significant influence on Mr. Usāma bin Lādin.
As if inevitably due to his career and religion, Mr. Usāma bin Lādin at last ordered attacks on New York and Washington D.C. using commercial jet planes in September 2001.
And, the rest of the history up to now is well known.
* * *
Mr. Saddam Hussein’s decision in August 1990 to invade Kuwait, after the lengthy Iraqi-Iranian War, triggered this chain reaction of international incidents eventually leading to the current, extraordinary hike of oil prices.
Mr. Saddam Hussein’s military adventure took a form of solving a territorial dispute with an underlying issue of oil (fields).
Did the issue of oil and money it generates really mangle his judgment on international situations?
Why, how, and when did then president of Iraq Saddam Hussein reach the conclusion, at the deepest level of mind, that his government had to absorb the neighboring country by force are really interesting. And everybody under any influence of the Gulf War, subsequent terror attacks and the War on Terror including the Iraq War, and higher oil prices had better be interested in them.
* * *
It is said that oil reserves will be depleted in 50 years; natural gas in 65 years; uranium in 70 years, coal in 250 years, and plutonium available for fuel in fast breeder reactors in 4500 years.
Although they say that they will complete preparation of a nuclear fusion reactor for commercial power generation around 2050, it is very doubtful.
What’s more, we still need crude oils not only as natural resources for power generation but also as materials for production of goods.
* * *
No matter how indirectly it did, Mr. Saddam Hussein’s decision to resort to military power in August 1990 led to 9/11 terrorist attacks on the U.S. in 2001 through its influence on some Arabs, but it might have still more significant implication even Mr. Saddam Hussein did not realize at the moment of the decision.
* * *
When we lose all the oil reserves on the earth, it may be called the End of the World, for our civilization depends on oil and iron. Then, the end may be terribly within 50 year range.
Lower the level of our living standard to one tenth of the current one, and we may buy time, for example 500 years, for our children’s descendants to cope with the fate.

Newton, Shakespeare, and Empire Facing Oceans
Newton, Shakespeare, and Empire Facing Oceans
Sir Isaac Newton, a genius but also a strange theologist and alchemist, reportedly thought: "I am just a little boy on the seashore who is, while picking up and wondering at pebbles and shells, yet to be fully amazed at the great ocean of truth extending so far away before him. Mysteries leading to God are yet to be comprehended."
William Shakespeare is also a person of great skill, though with a certain sense of pagan due to the era he lived in, writing his poetry titled "Like as the waves make towards the pebbled shore" which goes:
"Like as the waves make towards the pebbled shore
So do our minutes hasten to their end;
Each changing place with that which goes before,
In sequent toil all forwards do contend…"
* * *
Nowadays, it is said that days of liberal arts have gone. They are teaching children how to make money by buying and selling stocks. Everybody believes that money can buy any commodities and services, including wisdom and refinement.
Most of the so-called IT heroes seem to have failed in developing respect for human value measured by moral obtained through authentic learning and training.
For example, even when a retired politician, who still holds some influence, makes TV appearance taking along famous scholars or pundits, those elite cultural figures usually look embarrassed as if their personality were conquered by those with power in politics. Indeed, those who have enjoyed worldly power never respect cultural figures.
* * *
Immigrants from Mexico, African countries, Asia, or any other places have nothing to do with Isaac Newton and William Shakespeare. Even if they learn those past prominent figures after finding a job and somehow settling down in the U.S., EU or Japan, everybody thinks, their status never changes. People might make a big joke of “poor immigrant workers reading Shakespeare and Newton in vain.”
But, those who control people with power and wealth through which employers of immigrant workers are forced to obey need somebody that is familiar with works of Isaac Newton and William Shakespeare. Otherwise, they will lose the ground for their advantage and dominance.
If such persons as can understand norms and criteria in writing and reading as well as engineering and science all disappear from society, it will no longer be able to maintain law and order, which mostly depends on documents, and will surely stop developing its new forms of wealth.
* * *
Therefore, the Establishment needs to have their children learn Sir Isaac Newton and William Shakespeare before they learn influence of power and money and how to use it to satisfy their desire.
But, it is said that they are now even going to skip this authentic process.
* * *
"Nativity, once in the main of light,
Crawls to maturity, wherewith being crown’d,
Crooked eclipse ‘gainst his glory fight,
And Time that gave, doth now his gift confound.
Time doth transfix the flourish set on youth,
And delves the parallels in beauty’s brow;
Feeds on the rarities of nature’s truth,
And nothing stands but for his scythe to mow:
And yet, to times in hope, my verse shall stand
Praising Thy worth, despite his cruel hand."
(Eternal flow of time makes everything impermanence and transient, but there is surely something among people that is worth admiring [against the opposite that often appeals to audiences].)
* * *
Very strangely, there were no records on Jesus Christ standing at the beach of the Mediterranean Sea or the Dead Sea to perform some miracles that could traverse the sea.
Indeed, human beings are not fish to live in the ocean; mankind needs faith and love living in the human world or the sea of people.
* * *
What poor immigrant workers need is the Holy Writ without which any works by Shakespeare and Newton should have been impossible, thus making Anglo-American empires impossible all over the world through the modern history.
Japanese, living on islands situated near one side of a huge, old continent opposite to that for Great Britain, really love to see the sea, but the splendor of viewing an ocean never saves you eventually, as with poetry and science.
And I am afraid that America situated between Japan and Great Britain might lose brightness of its empire before it produces another Newton and Shakespeare despite two oceans it faces.
“I SPOKE BECAUSE I BELIEVED”

But, those who control people with power and wealth through which employers of immigrant workers are forced to obey need somebody that is familiar with works of Isaac Newton and William Shakespeare. Otherwise, they will lose the ground for their advantage and dominance.
If such persons as can understand norms and criteria in writing and reading as well as engineering and science all disappear from society, it will no longer be able to maintain law and order, which mostly depends on documents, and will surely stop developing its new forms of wealth.
* * *
Therefore, the Establishment needs to have their children learn Sir Isaac Newton and William Shakespeare before they learn influence of power and money and how to use it to satisfy their desire.
But, it is said that they are now even going to skip this authentic process.
* * *
"Nativity, once in the main of light,
Crawls to maturity, wherewith being crown’d,
Crooked eclipse ‘gainst his glory fight,
And Time that gave, doth now his gift confound.
Time doth transfix the flourish set on youth,
And delves the parallels in beauty’s brow;
* * *
* * *

Six Types of Quarks, So Predicted in 1973 (Real Particles vs. Anti-Particles)
Six Types of Quarks, So Predicted in 1973 (Real Particles vs. Anti-Particles)
For the first time in the human history, vibration or transition between a certain “particle” and its corresponding “antiparticle” was observed at the Department of Energy's Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (http://www.fnal.gov/pub/presspass/press_releases/CDF_04-11-06.html).
As you know, if a real particle and an antiparticle collide with each other, they disappear completely with just a trace of energy in the form of light. The phenomenon follows Einstein’s equation: E = MC**2
The concept of particles in nuclear science includes “quarks” which compose a neutron and a proton that usually compose an atom. Antiparticles compose an anti atom.
If a man made of atoms collides with another man made of anti-atoms, the both will disappear leaving light and vast energy behind.
However, in this universe, we have almost only particles; antiparticles are rarely observed in the nature but can be generated in extremely huge and expensive scientific facilities.
* * *
When the universe was first created, it consisted of the same numbers of particles and antiparticles. Therefore, the baby universe should have disappeared before starting to evolve to the current state. But, then, what happened as we now exist?
The answer to this enigma is the Kobayashi-Masukawa mechanism of CP violation in the standard model of physics. The two Japanese scientists presented their theory in 1973.
They predicted if there were six types of “quarks,” the two physical features called Charge and Parity cannot be preserved in physical phenomena, leading to advantage of particles over antiparticles in terms of survival. Their prediction was later found to be true. We have now six types of quarks inside a neutron and a proton.
The above observation of transitions between a particle and an antiparticle supports their theory, proving that their mathematical expressions are correct and effective in predicting the number of frequency of the vibration which is about 2.8 trillion times per second.
The world, however, looks very reluctant to appreciate the work of the two excellent Japanese physicists: Toshihide Masukawa and Makoto Kobayashi.
* * *
When you create something from sheer emptiness, it should come to exist in the form of a pair of a plus and a minus. And, a moment after the creation, the plus matter and the minus matter should collide with each other, going back to emptiness again. Universe cannot be possible. But, God let it exist by introducing six types of quarks, which was theoretically discovered by the two Japanese scientists 33 years ago.
* * *
You might not have been born. You can control something with your money, power, or arms, but you cannot control your own birth and death in addition to your fate.
As such, this universe might not have been born; our galaxy might not have been formed; our solar system might not have been created; our earth-moon system might not have been built; and mankind might not have survived.
The probability of existence of a higher form of life, such as mankind, in the universe is basically and technically zero. At best, we might have dinosaurs on other planets, but not other human beings.
If there should emerge other human beings on other planet, it would be billion years later from now, thus we cannot share the same time and space for communications.
* * *
The number of observable stars in the universe from the earth is 7×10**22 or in the order of sextillions (or 30 million times larger than the number of particles of sand on seashores worldwide). Each star might have some planets similar to the Earth. So, you might think there are very many higher forms of life in the universe.
On the contrary, recent scientific studies have showed that it is almost impossible that any planet in the universe has a highly developed civilization like ours. Even it will be a miracle that any planet should have such a moon as our Earth has. The size, weight, and distance of our Moon have been important factors for evolution of living things on the Earth.
(Very long time ago, a smaller planet collided with a bigger planet, resulting in the building of the current Earth-Moon system at an optimum distance from the Sun, which cannot be common in the universe.)
* * *
The universe cannot be possible. The higher form of life on a planet is impossible. But, we exist, probably, as the only example of a highly developed civilization in the whole universe.
But, can you believe that God has created 7×10**22 of fixed stars, in 15 billion year time window, in order to make one of them generate a planet now called the Earth that could actually generate human beings?
* * *
There are no intelligent extra-terrestrials that can communicate with us now, for example, over just 100 million light year distance, which means that most probably there have been no intelligent extra-terrestrials excpt us since the birth of the universe 15 billion years ago. Future might be different, but the chance is minimal.
More authentically, we are alone in the whole, vast universe that has no probability of existence of itself. Your existence now is nothing but a miracle (or a mere fantasy).
So, you had better refer to words of God who, however, never stops watching us and listening to us.
In the beginning of the universe, there were just words of God who is, who was, and who is to be eternally.
Praise the Lord.

Slave in America Turned to be Prime Minister in Japan
Slave in America Turned to be Prime Minister in Japan
According to WIKIPEDIA, Korekiyo Takahashi “studied English and American culture in a private school of Hepburn (in Japan). He went abroad with a son of Katsu Kaishu and studied in London.” But it is not correct. He was sold into slavery in California in late 1860’s.
* * *
In 1921, when then Prime Minister of Imperial Japan Hara Takashi was assassinated, Korekiyo Takahashi was appointed prime minister, but his cabinet was short-lived.
In 1936, when Takahashi came back to the power to become the minister of finance, he and other ministers were assassinated by rebelling military officers. This terror called February 26 Incident suffocated yet-fragile democracy and led to ultimate militarism before WWII in Japan.
* * *
When he was 14 years old, Japan was still governed by the samurai regime of Tokugawa shogunate. At the time, the Sendai Clan Takahashi’s family served decided to send some young men to the U.S. for education; Korekiyo Takahashi was among those chosen by the Clan.
But a contracted American caretaker of those young Japanese betrayed them. Korekiyo Takahashi was sold to an old couple in California as a slave. It was when he was resold to another family that Korekiyo Takahashi realized that he had been enslaved by a false contract on which he had been forced to sign almost blindly.
Anyway, other samurais in California of his Clan paid requested but unjustified money (it was after the Civil War in the U.S.) to the new owner of Korekiyo Takahashi in order to release the brave but poor boy from slavery.
This incident occurred around 1868 when the samurai regime in Japan collapsed through a civil war.
Later in Imperial Japan’s government, this once-enslaved boy became prime minister as above told. He also served the government as an excellent finance minister, which has made him a very illustrious figure even today.
* * *
The victory of Japan in the Japanese-Russo War (1904 to 1905) had far-reaching effect. It was the first victory of an Asian country over a white and Christian country in modern history. Leaders in China, India, and Turkey, which then occupied Arab lands, were all amazed.
Before and during the Japanese-Russo War, Korekiyo Takahashi was a representative of Imperial Japan, in charge of raising funds for the war by issuing government bonds of Imperial Japan.
He was busy traveling to New York, London, and Paris, meeting top leaders of the world, such as the King of England, the Rothschilds in England and Europe, and other financial giants in America and Europe.
And, it is well known that a certain Jewish financial magnate contributed to Imperial Japan’s fund procurement for the Japanese-Russo War. The American Jew supported Korekiyo Takahashi so as to help other Jews suffering under the reign of the czar of Russia.
* * *
One day when Korekiyo Takahashi was on board across the Atlantic Ocean in the middle of his mission, an actress spoke to him. She asked if he knew anything about a secret of Japanese actresses or actors whose face turned to pale when playing a dying woman or man.
Korekiyo Takahashi said he did not know any clues. The Western actress said to him, “I don’t believe you. You, too, are making it secret. Such a Japanese actress should use a kind of medicaments.”
“I don’t think so; it must be a psychological effect,” answered Korekiyo Takahashi.
Korekiyo Takahashi should have many memories on his trips abroad. But, this incident is one of those he particularly put in his memoir.
* * *
I suspect that Korekiyo Takahashi thought that the actress on board spoke to him because she was in some financial troubles while being aware that he was a high-ranking officer in the finance sector of Imperial Japan. She might have wanted a kind of hospitality from him.
Though his memoir was written decades before his tragic death in terror, I have a feeling, the actress might play a role of an oracle to him. Otherwise, she should have talked about a more pleasant issue.
* * *
Even today, a Japanese minister compared to, or even with, Korekiyo Takahashi should swell with pride.
However, it is act of God that a salve boy in California in the late 19th century became prime minister of Japan in the early 20th century.
Only such a man should be allowed to raise funds for a war. What’s more the death of such a man only could be used to tell the nation that something truly horrible is coming in an atomic-bomb scale.
* * *
Are there any ex-slaves among leaders in the current world? If not, no money should be raised for war.

Enjoying Cherry Blossoms in Short Life
Enjoying Cherry Blossoms in Short Life
In Japan people say a beauty dies earlier, just like a flower’s life is short. Traditionally in Japan, when the word “flower” is used in poetry, it means cherry blossoms.
* * *
The Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) was at stake. However, it has narrowly averted the crisis of losing confidence of the people.
A lawmaker of the party had attacked the ruling party, focusing on a scandal between the Director-General of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and the former Livedoor company president who had been taken into custody for various economic crimes.
However, soon after the public denunciation, the accusation turned out to be groundless as it was based on a bogus e-mail.
* * *
In February, the people watched the lawmaker severely condemning Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi in the budgetary committee on TV in a live telecast. But, the prime mister responded to it without panic, saying “Nagata-san, you are attacking the innocent director-general (of my party) Takebe-san based on false information.”
As the time went by, everybody understood that the accusation was based on a bogus e-mail, but DPJ lost a reasonable timing to apologize to the LDP. The leaders of DPJ were expecting that new information related to the scandal might be brought to them, which did not happen; eventually this strategy harmed their position.
What made it worse, the lawmaker who had brandished the false e-mail attacking the prime minister refused to resign as a lawmaker, while being requested so by the head of DPJ.
Finally at the end of March, the head of DPJ, Mr. Seiji Maehara decided to step down from his own position of the party; by doing so, he forced the lawmaker in question to resign as a lawmaker.
* * *
It has taken a month and a half to settle the matter. While the media was concentrating on this political bustle, FY 2006 budget was passed without hitch, and the Koizumi cabinet has made it through unscathed in the Diet, so far as now.
* * *
But, it is a little strange that a head of a political party had to resign from office (though keeping his seat in the Lower House) in order to persuade a troubled member of his party to give up his seat in parliament.
Anyway, it is an incident in Japan. And, people welcome such a story. Mr. Maehara seems to be coming through. Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi is going to serve his full term in office till this September.
* * *
Now the cherry blossoms are in full bloom in Japan. The season has changed. Indeed, Japanese people love the cherry blossoms so fine and thin in pale rose, without anything that protects them, destined soon to fall apart like snow keeping its color so lively.
No other races or tribes have a tradition of enjoying the cherry blossoms in the same manner as Japanese do.

Differential Equations and Eclipse
Differential Equations and Eclipse
They say the most beautiful equation for mankind is as follows:
e**(i *π) = -1
i = root(-1) = (-1)**(1/2): a unit imaginary number;
e = the natural (Napierian) logarithm, or 2.7182818…;
π (or pi) = the circular constant, or 3.14159265…
* * *
You may wonder what kinds of numbers are used in the most advanced mathematics and science. They use only four types of numbers: ordinary numbers (composed of basic numbers from 0 to 9), π, “e,” and “i.”
Even today, almost all the scientific and engineering documents can be read and understood, if you know the above four types of numbers.
The equation, e**(i *π) = -1, includes the all types of the numbers. Therefore, they say it is the most beautiful equation, or a miracle equation.
However, it is a direct result of Euler's formula:
e**(i * x) = cos(x) + i*sin(x), with x = π, and cos(π) = -1 and sin (π) = 0.
On the other hand, Euler's formula is a result of the following expansions:
cos (x) = Sum of [(-1)**k]*(x**2k) / [(2k)!] from k =0 to ∞;
sin (x) = Sum of [(-1)**k]*[x**(2k-1)] / [(2k-1)!] from k =0 to ∞; and
e**x = Sum of x**k / k! from k =0 to ∞
while k! = 1*2*3*…*(k-1)*k.
(Here if x = ix,
In this way, the imaginary number can be introduced in the equation.)
However, the key to the expansions is as follows:
d cos(x) / dx = -sin(x);
d sin(x) / dx = cos(x); and
d e**x /dx = e**x
while d/dx means differential by x.
* * *
The nature can be expressed and analyzed by differential equations. Thus what makes possible the most beautiful equation is definitions of the functions of e**x, cos (x), and sin (x) based on each differential equation.
* * *
It can apply to human beings. If a woman called a beauty ever exists, which Jesus Christ never assures us of, we can test her by differentiating her features. But, human differentiation might not be so simple as the above mathematical ones.
* * *
But, as for me, the equation, e**(i *π) = -1, does not seem to be the most beautiful equation. The key differentials do not look like so, either.
Right from the start, mathematics and numbers are tools, operations, processes, and methods. They can be nice or rational, but “beautiful” is too much.
* * *
If a woman loves God or Jesus Christ, her internal structure should be rearranged by love and faith so as to be able to respond to outer force, including men’s observation, in a well differentiated manner. Consequently, she should look beautiful in safety and security.
Otherwise, women should put on a veil. (Today, an eclipse happened on some part of the earth, mostly Islamic regions, symbolizing something.)

Otherwise, women should put on a veil. (Today, an eclipse happened on some part of the earth, mostly Islamic regions, symbolizing something.)

Hidden Code Discovered by a Bestselling Author: 1, 81, 1458, and 1729
Hidden Code Discovered by a Bestselling Author: 1, 81, 1458, and 1729
Even today, The Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown, is one of the New York Times best-sellers. Its Japanese version is still one of the bestselling fictions in Japan, too.
(I am not so interested in Leonardo da Vinci and his works. He is a little too pagan to deal with a kind of spiritual thing, in my opinion.)
As for nonfictions, Night, by Elie Wiesel, is one of the best-sellers in the United States. It is interesting that a Holocaust-related book written by the 1986 Nobel Prize winner is still welcomed by U.S. readers. Someday, an Arab or a Muslim may write a best-seller concerning Iraq and the wars involving the country.
In Japan, one of best-selling nonfictions today is “Kokka no Hinkaku (Dignity of Country)” written by a popular mathematician.

The mathematician Masahiko Fujiwara is an interesting person. He has many American and European friends through his profession, which seems to lead him to deeply thinking about Japan and the world, in addition to influence of his late father, a famous novelist in Japan.
He once presented a special number which is equal to a sum of each number on each digit multiplied by a number made by reallocating each number of each digit of the sum reversely to its each digit, as follows:
1729 --> 1+7+2+9=19
19 ----> 91
19×91 = 1729
There are only four numbers in the universe that satisfy this operation: 1, 81, 1458, and 1729.
Mr. Masahiko Fujiwara is said to call this discovery the Ugly Theory. However, I don’t find any ugliness in it.
* * *
Mr. Fujiwara is strongly against two issues: globalization and compulsory English learning in Japanese elementary schools.
The reason is that the issues are based on simple logic which is dangerous.
People think if A is B, and B is C, while A is correct, then C is correct 100 percent. But, in reality, A and B can be only 10 percent correct. Then C is just one percent correct, since 0.1×0.1 = 0.01.
A and B can be anything, but people take “globalization” as C. Accordingly, they say that globalization is 100 percent correct.
Also, A and B can be anything, but people take “trendy English learning in Japanese elementary schools” as C.
Though their nominal aims are economic satisfaction of majority of mankind and fostering international-minded Japanese in volume, their logic is really ugly.
* * *
An example of a logic sly multinational businesses resort to is as follows:
A: Maximization of profits by expanding shares of business, which meets their real intention 100%.
B: Free invasion of untapped and undeveloped markets and economies, which assures maximization of their own profits 100% probably.
C: Selling in rosy globalization, which makes countries fully open up their market, resulting in achieving their true goal almost 100%.
Instead of using the above bare factors A, B, and C, they technically advertise to the world the following:
A: Economic satisfaction of majority of mankind (possibility 1%)
B: Promotion of local market through free trade and free entry based on wise selection by local consumers (possibility 1%)
C: Globalization as the most efficient means for achieving common prosperity (thus resultant possibility is 0.01%).
This is more sinful than ugliness.
* * *
In 1729, Ekaterina II Alekseevna, not “Miss EU” but the eighth Czar of Romanov Dynasty of Russia, was born in a former territory of Germany.
In 1458, the Queen's College of St Margaret and St Bernard was rebuilt in Cambridge, England. The College has a bridge called the “Mathematical Bridge” which people thought to have been built without nails (but it was found in the 20th century that the bridge had full of nails and screws).
In 81 AD, Arch of Titus was built in Rome to commemorate the victory of the emperors Vespasian and Titus in the war against Jews. Since then, it almost took a full span of ages for Jews to return to “Jerusalem.”
In 1 AD, "Japan" then called "Wa" was split into 100 countries, some of which sent official missionary to authorities, stationed in Korean Peninsula, of Han Dynasty of China. It is recorded in an official history book of ancient China.
* * *
There is one word that Jesus Christ has never used: ugliness.
Nonetheless, exceptionally Japanese might be allowed to say: if there are any dubious factors that might make ugly a logic, a story, history, or education, you should be on guard.

Fateful 2001 in New York; Fateful 1932 in Tokyo
Fateful 2001 in New York; Fateful 1932 in Tokyo
A successful cartoonist in Malaysia said that you should not take anybody as a subject into your work if you bear ill toward him or her.
It must be a key to success a humble artist has learnt in a multi-race and multi-religion environment in Southeast Asia, which should apply to all cases.
* * *
On September 11, 2001, a Japanese was watching the World Trade Center towers burning and crumbling down to the ground zero from her residence in New York.
Mrs. Sadako Ogata, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) from 1991 until 2001, was at that time working on her memoir in New York.
The great-grandchild of a famous Japanese prime minister was then in New York after having terminated her mission in Afghanistan Japan and UNHCR had been pursuing around 2000.
In Washington D.C. two months later after the 9/11 Attacks, Mrs. Sadako Ogata was making a speech in a high-level talk with Mr. Collin Powel and Mr. Paul Henry O'Neill, two key Secretaries of the then U.S. Government, on her experiences in Afghanistan.
She continued to play a major role, such as Special Representative of the Prime Minister of Japan at the International Conference on Afghanistan.
* * *
She was working on Afghanistan in 2000. She flew to Pakistan and Afghanistan to meet with Taliban leasers and also inspect situations concerning girls’ education under the Taliban regime.
However, according to her reports, all the foreign countries, except Japan, had lost interest in Afghanistan and left the nation. Eventually, she left the project and returned to Japan. Everything about Afghanistan seemed to be terminated. Then she moved to New York and started to write her memoir.
Fatefully one day in New York in 2001, she eye-witnessed the World Trade Center buildings burning and falling down, without knowing the attackers on board the jet planes were put at the helm by their headquarters in Afghanistan.
* * *
In fiscal 2000, Japan contributed a half million dollars through UNCHR to aid for Afghan refugees, as well as 1.1 million dollars to support for Pakistan and another 1.1 million dollars to Iran in connection with aid for refugees therein. Through U.N. World Food Program, Japan also provided foods worth 5 million dollars for Afghanistan in FY 2000. In addition, Japan provided medical support worth 240,000 dollars for Afghanistan and Pakistan through International Committee of the Red Cross in FY 2000.
(After the 9/11 Attacks, Japan has contributed about 600 million dollars to various Afghanistan-related projects.)
* * *
A Japanese reader of Mrs. Sdako Ogata’s book wondered why the female scholar, a daughter of a diplomat, decided to work on the ground in troubled regions in the world when she got 60 years old. (Her relatives include many famous upper-class families in Japan.)
Mrs. Sdako Ogata’s great-grandfather became prime minister of Japan in 1931; however, in the next year 1932, he was assassinated by a terror group including young officers of the Imperial Japan’s Military.
It is also interesting to know that her great-grandfather, Tsuyoshi Inugai, had once personally helped Sun Yat-Sen (also know as Sūn Wén), Father of Modern China who led people in the chaotic terms after the collapse of Qing Dynasty.
* * *
God seems to have prepared, for Japan’s difficult moment in the outset of the 21st century, the daughter of a daughter of a daughter of the prime minister who had become a symbol of democracy and victim of terror in Imperial Japan before Word War II.
(Mrs. Sadako Ogata reportedly refused Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi’s offer for the position of Foreign Minister in 2002 when then Foreign Minister Makiko Tanaka, a daughter of another prime minister who had met Mao Tse-Tung in Beijing in 1972, was dismissed. It might indicate another key to success for fateful people.)

Unique Premier, Unique Baseball, but More Unique Value
Unique Premier, Unique Baseball, but More Unique Value
Japan has a parliamentary cabinet system. Prime minister of Japan is designated by the parliament (called the Diet) which consists of lawmakers individually elected by eligible voters as well as proportional representation lawmakers.
(Japan has no president, for it has emperor.)
Theoretically and constitutionally there is nobody in Japan that can deny or override a decision the prime minister (as a cabinet) has made. Japanese prime minister has the same, supreme power as presidents in many countries, including powers to levy taxes and command self-defense forces.
However, the prime minister is also an elected lawmaker in the Diet. Therefore, if he steps down from the position of prime minister, he can still enjoy privileges of the Diet member.
This may be one of the reasons why the prime minister of Japan is so often replaced by new one.
* * *
Different from U.S. president, Japanese prime minister has to appear before a plenary assembly and various committees of the Diet.
If the president of the U.S., Russia, China, or France is severely attacked and accused by congressmen in committees almost everyday during a session, while being televised and broadcast live nationwide, he must loose face, dignity, and popularity. But, it has been a statutory challenge that a premier in Japan has to take on.
Therefore, it is important that a ruling party, to which prime minister belongs, gets as many seats as possible in a national election.
* * *
In today’s budget committee of the Diet, Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi referred to the victory of the Japanese baseball team in World Baseball Classic (WBC). In this context, he said that Japanese economy was picking up as people had stopped looking at the darker side and started working out in a courageous manner like the Japanese baseball team in WBC.
He also gave an account of people’s health issues, revealing that he sometimes uses Oriental medicine such as acupuncture and moxibustion treatment. And, he listened in a good mood to recommendation a member of an opposite party offered on possible cooperation between Japan, Korea, and China for promoting Oriental medicine.
* * *
It is 1890 that the first Imperial Diet was convened. So, Japan has its democracy anyhow over three centuries.
Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi may be the first prime minister, in Japan’s history of politics, that has clearly aimed at adopting American style competition in various sectors of the Japanese society.
Nonetheless, the baseball team built on tradition of the Japanese style of baseball, called Yakyu, has got the supreme mastery in the international matches against foreign teams mostly relying on Major League players.
(Japanese children start to learn how to play Yakyu or baseball using a rubber ball instead of a regulation ball.)
It may be the time for some Japanese, Asians, and mankind to look back at their unique cultural value being left behind in their procession toward the so-called globalization being accompanied by 9/11 Terror Attacks, U.S. corporate scandals, Afghan War, Iraqi War, Madrid/London Terror Bombings, Paris Riots, and tragedies in Rwanda, Sudan, and Balkan States as well as the Livedoor-related incident in Japan.

Miracle Moon on World Baseball Classic
Miracle Moon on World Baseball Classic
Mr. Sadaharu Oh and his disciples have become the first pennant winner of the World Baseball Classic games held in California, the U.S.
The box score was as follows:
400 020 004 = 10
It reads like “For me” To “For the team”; otherwise, it looks like an autograph of an angel that visited the ball park in the evening.
* * *
Believe or not, I found at a certain point of time that God was angry with something related to this event they advertised as true world-championship matches of baseball.
It might be concerned with selfishness some major league players displayed or bigotry the U.S. authorities displayed in its management and regulation, in addition to behavior of stepping on Japan’s achievement and its players being in earnest.
Otherwise, it should be unbearable disparity of wealth and social development among nations despite their common love of baseball.
Therefore, I cannot help but think that God sent an angel to Petco Park in San Diego to deliver a message to baseball fans, including those in Japan where an audience share for the live broadcast of the game between Cuba and Japan climbed up to over 50 percent, incredibly though the day was a national holiday in Japan.
* * *
You may think you need a goddess of victory or Victoria to win the cup in a difficult tournament.
Manager Sadaharu Oh said that the trend had changed when pinch-hitter Fukudome smashed a homer in the match against Korea. The ball was flying high in the dark, rainy night sky, as if being delivered by all-time home-run king Oh.
However, I think I really saw the moon in the night sky over the ball park at Anaheim. It looked like an advent of an angel or a goddess of victory.
* * *
The moon is one of the largest miracles concerned with the earth and human beings on it. First of all, there is no reason that the sun and the moon are observed in the identical size from the earth.
Secondly, the moon could look rotating in space to the earth even in the present era, though a physical theory tells that the moon will come to show only one side of its surface to the earth eventually due to interaction between the two astronomic bodies.
Thirdly, without the moon, the length of a day on the earth is said to be eight hours. In addition, stronger winds should be incessantly blowing over the ground due to the fast rotation of the earth. Accordingly, it would be difficult for any higher forms of life on the earth to evolve and develop its culture sufficiently.
Perhaps all over the universe, there are no other planets accompanied with a moon the earth has now in terms of the size, rotating conditions, and its origin and structure.
Nonetheless, mankind rarely wonders how strange that the earth has such a miracle moon, which makes the earth probably the only planet with unique civilization on it.
Japanese traditionally love the moon unlike Europeans.
* * *
You need something, even the moon, to make yourself humble in victory; otherwise you would pride yourself too much and suffer slights of angels eventually.

Classic Players in Earnest
Classic Players in Earnest
The Japanese team won the WBC game against the Korean team with six to nothing.
The box score was as follows:
000 000 510
It should remind many Japanese fans of Ichiro’s number on uniform “51.”
* * *
Korean people got angry when they were informed that Ichiro insulted them, before the first-round matches of WBC this Feburuary in Tokyo, by saying, “I will teach them a lesson so that they cannot make irreverent behavior toward Japan at least for 30 years.”
On the other hand, there is a report that a young Korean in America two years ago asked Ichiro, in a restaurant with his wife, to write his autograph
on a sheet of paper. When Ichiro returned a signed sheet, the Korean youth tore it apart in Ichiro’s face, in order to give Ichiro a lesson for a certain reason according to words of the youth on the Internet.
However, no Japanese would think that Ichiro issued the above expression for his commitment with in mind the incident of two years ago relating to his autograph.
He had to express his determination to do his best in strong words before the games started. And, everybody knew that Korea had built the strong team with best players, while some Japanese major leaguers, including Ichiro’s juniors, such as Hideki Matsui of the Yankees, avoided to join the Japanese team.
Nowadays Japanese baseball fans know that when Korea sends the best team, Japan cannot easily win unless Japanese players do their best in earnest. It is Ichiro’s determination to make his best against the Korean all-star team.
Ichiro did not persuade others to despise or look down upon Koreans by using those words.
* * *
Ichiro is a more proud person as being somebody that became a MVP player, a leading hitter, a stolen base champion, and a principal player who contributed to Mariners’ all-time most victories (116 wins) in one season of the Major League Baseball, all together in 2001.
What’s more, Ichiro once humbly and cautiously refused to accept some honor the Japanese Government tried to officially present to him for his excellent work in 2004 of breaking the single-season hit record of MLB.
* * *
Cuba and Japan are going to meet in the ball park tomorrow for a crowing victory of the World Baseball Classic games.
As it is a public holiday tomorrow in Japan, many fans will enjoy the game to be broadcast live from California.
The Japanese team and the Cuban team seem to have one thing in common. They have not many players with experiences in the Major League. The Japanese team has two, including Ichiro. The Cuban team has none.
Tomorrow, people might come to think why it is so beyond the outcome of the final match.
“WHO THEN IS THE FAITHFUL SERVANT”
The Japanese team won the WBC game against the Korean team with six to nothing.

Ichiro did not persuade others to despise or look down upon Koreans by using those words.
* * *
* * *

True Master of Home Runs
True Master of Home Runs
According to a letter to editorial of a newspaper, The Yomiuri Shimbun, this morning, they had a baseball game between elementary-school boys and U.S. soldiers stationed in Japan, on one fine day in 1950’s.
The sixth grade pupils’ team of a certain elementary school had never lost a game. The rumor seemed to have reached a U.S. base. So, one day, a head teacher of the school got a call from the base, and accepted an offer for a match to be held in the base.
The result of the game was even, astonishingly given difference in the physical size of members of the two teams.
However, they had a happy time, and even after the game, they chatted friendly using their own language another team could not understand.
An old ex-teacher sent this letter to editorial which has been made public this morning.

In another letter to editorial of the newspaper this morning, a Japanese boy living in England wrote that he had got shocked, when he started to live there, to know that no one plays baseball in England. But, now, he can play the game in a school for Americans, while enjoying playing cricket on different occasions.
An elementary school boy living in England sent this letter to editorial which has been made public this morning.

Most of Japanese love baseball. The bat reminds the people of a Japanese sword.
Mr. Sadaharu Oh, who is leading the Japanese team in World Baseball Classic now being held in California, made a batting practice by using a real sword when he was young. He tried to cut a long and thin paper, arranged from a newspaper sheet, by swinging a Japanese sword horizontally.
When he started this practice, other members of his team came to view it. Even senior players sat square, showing respect, watching the swing, and listening to the sound of air being cut amid tension between a sword and a slip floating in air vertically.
Mr. Sadaharu Oh produced 868 home runs in his playing days between 1959 and 1980. During his last season as a player, he could still smash 30 homers.
But, this all time home-run king, with the nationality of Taiwan, seems to be gradually losing memory on how to deliver a home-run.
Now, he seems to have become an excellent manager of a baseball team and an ardent director of a baseball company.
Only a true master of an art could completely forget how and what he had ever achieved in it, according to tradition in ancient China.

Day In, Day Out
Day In, Day Out
As part of deregulation, many government agencies were recently turned into independent administrative corporations in Japan.
Even in national universities, new restaurants were allowed to open on campus more easily, for a university to gain an income. In a certain elite university in the middle of Tokyo, once there were only two restaurants or dining halls, but now there are ten. As a result, humble restaurants and shops around the university have been forced to close. The university is going to be cut off from its neighbors.
One scholar pointed out that this is a warning against poor deregulation. Traditional human relationships between the elite faculty and students and ordinary people in surrounding areas are going to extinct in Tokyo.
* * *
I am not sure how many students of The City College of The City University of New York (CCNY) have encountered this EEE-Report, but there is something about it I want to refer to.
In the website of CCNY, they introduce its origin:
“Founded in 1847 as The Free Academy, The City College of New York (CCNY) was one of the great experiments of the young American democracy. At the urging of School Board President Townsend Harris, New York established a school to provide access to higher education for bright young men from working class and immigrant families who could not afford private college. More than 158 years later, the experiment remains an overwhelming success.”
Townsend Harris, after having set the foundation of the present CCNY, went out to the world in the middle of 19th century, just before the Civil War in the United States.
Harris became Consul General to Japan, the first American diplomat to Japan, and began his diplomatic mission living almost alone in Japan in 1856.
After two years of struggle against the reluctant Shogun Government, he finally made the "Treaty of Peace and Commerce" with the samurai government of Japan. He is the first and (perhaps) only American who met a shogun in person in Edo Castle.
Japan at the time was amid the rising tension between the Shogun Government and some other clans who lined up against the Government’s policy to open the nation. (A Dutch interpreter, Henry Heusken, employed by Harris was put to the sword and killed by such a group of samurai.)
However, Harris succeeded in completing his mission and gaining respect from Japanese, partly due to fairly fair contents and provisions in the Treaty he offered to Samurai Japan that did not have sufficient experiences in Western Europe-style diplomacy as well as enough modern fire arms.
Harris returned to the United States in 1861 when the Civil War started, in which he took no part.
Schools in Japan today never forget to mention the name Townsend Harris in teaching history.
In the United States, without Townsend Harris and his Free Academy, there has been no such higher education institution called Harvard of the Proletariat in New York.
* * *
Townsend Harris is the only person who accomplished a great achievement both in the United States and Japan before the new era concurrently began in each country in the late 19th century.
Any meaningful transformation or innovation in the education sector or any other public sectors, including deregulation, needs somebody like Townsend Harris that has more capability than what people concerned have conventionally thought to be sufficient.
For example, if the first diplomat from the United States to Japan had showed anything that made Japanese people feel contempt for him during his stay for five years, his gravestone in New York today would not have carried an inscription which reads “Friend of Japan.”
(Therefore, students in New York have been all beneficiaries of the Friend of Japan.)
* * *
Day in, day out, can any public character today keep the quality of his or her conduct at such a demanding level?
(If such a person appears, the fact itself would be an extraordinarily significant piece of news among sinful people, however. )

The Answers, My Friends, are Blown out of Groovy Windows behind your Sleek Desk
The Answers, My Friends, are Blown out of Groovy Windows behind your Sleek Desk
In a certain nice moment of your life time and in a tranquil mind with your feet on the desk, you might wonder, as the case may be, what the world is really like.
* * *
Q: What is the total financial wealth in the world?
A: The total financial wealth (excluding real estates) in the world is about 60 trillion dollars, of which 60% is held by the U.S. and 20 % is possessed by Japan. The combined amounts of those held by the U.K., France, and Germany are less than those possessed by Japan.
Q: How much investment does the U.S. receive from abroad every year?
A: The U.S. receives about 530 billion dollars every year from foreign countries including Japan. The U.S. is the world number one receiver of foreign investment.
Q: How much foreign currency exchange reserves does the U.S. have?
A: The U.S. has about 80 billion dollar foreign exchange reserve. Japan has 817 billion dollar foreign exchange reserve (, and China has 471 billion dollar foreign exchange reserve,) as of the middle of 2004.
Q: What country is the largest electricity consumer?
A: The U.S is the number one; far behind are China as No.2 and Japan No.3. As for electricity consumption per capita, Canada is No.1, the U.S. is No.2, Japan No.3, and France No.4.
Q: What country allocates the largest research and development (R&D) budget?
The U.S. spends the largest R&D expenses about 270 billion dollars, Japan spends 140 billion dollars, and Germany as No.3 spends about 50 billion dollars. (No data on China as of 2003.)
Q: What country has the largest number of R&D specialists?
No. 1 is the U.S. with 1.1 million researchers and sceinentists, No.2 Russia with one million experts, No.3 Japan with just les than one million experts, No.4 China with 0.9 millions, and No.5 is Germany with 0.5 millions.
Q: What country has the largest patent applications per year?
Japan is No. 1 country with 490,000 applications filed per year; the U.S. is No. 2 with less than 350,000 applications; and Germany is No.3 with more than 250,000.
Q: What country has the largest export value in technology trade?
The U.S. is No. 1 with almost 16 billion dollars, the U.K. is No. 2 with almost 8 billion dollars, and Japan No. 3 with just short of 6 billion dollars. They are the big three in this critical field.
* * *
These are only part of selections by a Japanese scientific journalist, Yoshiyuki Matsuo. Especially he points out that forests and mountains account for 65 percent of the total land of Japan; this ratio is almost equal to that of Sweden, Finland, or Brazil. The beauty of the landscape of Japan is priceless. The value of Mt. Fuji cannot be included in Japan’s GDP, but the mountain itself surpasses the gross domestic product in terms of intangible value, according to the author of “Numbers on Japan (Nihon no Suji).”
Japan’s civilization is for beauty, while that of other countries is for triumph.
Even Americans hate ugliness in human relationships, if it exists; Japanese are sometimes fatally hurt and thus refuse even to comment on them, or would treat them with sheer contempt.
When Japanese find true ugliness in the world of wealth, something might change, though you cannot expect such a drastic scenario with the U.S and other countries despite so many people of holy scriptures therein.

Einstein in Tokyo in 1922
Einstein in Tokyo in 1922
When Albert Einstein was on board of a Japanese ship sailing from Marseille, France, to Kobe, Japan, in November 1922, he received a notice that he was awarded a Nobel Prize.
Therefore, Einstein’s first lecture after he became a Nobel Prize winner was significantly conducted in Japan, probably with the deepest emotion in his life, during his 43-day stay.
* * *
When people want to show his smartness or point at foolishness of others, they sometimes use the name “Einstein.” It is a common thing in Japan, Europe, and America with all of which Einstein had some relation.
Everybody knows and can calculate one of Einstein’s equations, e = m*c**2, which led to realization of nuclear bombs, for it shows mass is physically equivalent to energy.
But, as for another Einstein’s equation G = (8*pi*g / c**4)*T, it is extremely difficult to calculate unless you master Riemannian geometry.
Also, note that “pi” appears here, and “c” is the speed of light, and “g” is the gravitational constant.
“G” and “T” request some special efforts in understanding a mathematical method called tensor, a rule to change a system of coordinates against a physical entity. They include thousands of combinations of terms if mathematically extended with partial differential equations as its components.
In addition, as Riemannian geometry is too unique, it is almost impossible for ordinary people to solve the equation.
However, put simply, G = T.
G: Distortion of space
T: Concentration of energy and kinetic momentum
Metaphorically speaking, space and time is dominated by a person who has a strong personality, talents, the will, or love, in any circles, communities, or occasions.
Dr. Hawking solved the equation given a special condition of a black hole, which has made him a hero.
* * *
Einstein wrote 30,000 letters and correspondences in his life.
One student in Japan sent to Einstein staying in Tokyo a letter with a certain question on physics; he then received a reply from the very person Einstein. In the return mail, with a letter paper of the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, the student found only one equation: G = (8*pi*g / c**4)*T.
The student later became a very successful physical scientist in Japan and died in 1982. The letter was recently found by his bereaved family, which was reported last year in a nationwide newspaper.
When you use the name of Einstein in your conversation or joke, you had better remember that Einstein presented one of his best equations even to a nameless student in Tokyo in 1922.
(Why did Einstein accept invitation from Japan? It is because he had read a book written by Lafcadio Hearn (1850-1904), a U.S. reporter who had become a naturalized citizen of Japan.
Hearn, with an adopted Japanese name Yakumo Koizumi, especially loved a city famous in the Japanese myth. There was even a French girl who read Hearn’s book in, probably, Paris and took courage to travel to Japan and visit the city all alone in the time not so different from that of Einstein’s visit. )

Putting Up With Globalization
Putting Up With Globalization
People in business in Japan know that there are three types of accounting rules: Japanese standard, American standard, and Global standard (IAS/IFRS).
.
Now, EU is actively pushing the Global standard on world communities, and America is expected to eventually adapt its standard to the Global standard, while Japan is busy studying the situations.

Mr. Joseph Stiglitz won Nobel Prize in Economics in 2001.
He wrote a book titled “Globalization and its Discontents” in 2002.
If somebody says immodestly that high-ranking officials of IMF and the World Bank travel around the world and stay in one of the most expensive hotels in a developing country to check statistics and other economic data provided by its government and decide how to deal with it, without going to industrial areas, markets, or residential areas where its poor citizens work and live, you may think such a man cannot be hired by any powerful, international monetary institution.
After having resigned, in 2000, from the World Bank where he had served as Senior Vice President and Chief Economist, Mr. Stiglitz wrote such a remark in his book in 2002, after 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001.
He candidly writes that globalization has failed; it has left too many poor people behind.
However, he pointed at one region in the world where globalization has really succeeded: East Asia.
I don’t think that his analysis in this regard is very correct.
Economic success in East Asia is due to influence of Japanese success in various fields rather than globalization.
Therefore, globalization has failed everywhere. But, so far, Japan could only overcome its negative effect.
If you look at the world map, everything is clear. Europe is responsible for Africa; America is responsible for Latin America, and Japan is responsible for East Asia. Middle East may claim economic support from both Europe and America.
But, globalization has failed in all the regions under hegemony of Europe and America. And, East Asia owes its economic success more to Japan in various ways than to globalization.
This is my impressions after checking the book “Globalization and its Discontents.”
You may have a very different view about it. But, such a sound and brave economist as Mr. Stiglitz sometimes cannot satisfy a Japanese reader.
* * *
A copy of a Japanese version of the book is sold at a net price of 1,800 yen.
But, I happened to find the other day that it was sold at 100 yen at a secondhand bookstore, as if implicating that there are many on the globe who live only on a dollar (100 cents) per day.
Globalization seems to be something that ordinary people in Japan never appreciate like those in developing countries.
What poor people in the world need is neither economic support decided by sinful people nor international organizations without respect to them.
It must be love and tribute paid to mankind by mankind in awe of God.

Mr. Eisuke Sakakibara became the Vice Minister of Finance for International Affairs of the Japanese Government in 1997. His U.S. counterpart was Mr. Lawrence Summers, the Deputy Secretary of the Treasury.
Mr. Sakakibara, after retirement from Government posts, issued a very interesting book in 2002 in which he introduced a joke Mr. Summers often delivered when asked about future and possible change in currency exchange.
First of all, Mr. Sakakibara’s book was titled “Understanding Currency Exchange is Understanding the World” (“Kawase ga wakareba Sekai ga wakaru” in Japanese).
Mr. Summers’ favorite joke is as follows:
When Albert Einstein died and ascended to heaven, God told him to take care of other souls, also being drawn up to the City of God, by assigning each of them an appropriate job.
So, Einstein sat at a desk in front of the gate to heaven.
Here came a soul, and Einstein asked him what IQ he had. The soul said his IQ was 200; then Einstein assigned him a job of studying the theory of relativity.
Here came the second soul, and Einstein asked him what IQ he had. The soul said his IQ was 150; then Einstein assigned him a job of predicting global economic developments.
Here came the third soul, and Einstein asked him what IQ he had. The soul said his IQ was 60; then Einstein solemnly assigned him a job of predicting changes in currency exchange.

In his book, Mr. Sakakibara, now a popular economic commentator in Japan, didn’t make any insinuating remarks on Mr. Summers. Rather, he showed deep understanding of his U.S. counterpart of the profession. He interpreted this joke as expressing difficulty or impossibility in predicting changes in exchange rates.
Albert Einstein is famous for his firm belief that movement of every physical entity in the universe can be basically and perfectly determined or predicted. However, this view contradicts what quantum mechanics implies and proves. This was one of the most significant, scientific controversy in the 20th century, and still there are many who think that something about it is yet to be fixed.
There are no such uncertain elements in the theory of relativity which deals with relationships between time and space as well as the speed of light.
As IQ of God is infinite, if we may be allowed to use the term IQ in this context, the difference between IQ 200, IQ 150, and IQ 60 must be null to Him. Then, assigning a soul a job according to its human IQ must be very inappropriate.
(The lower a man’s intelligence quotient is in his mortal life, the wiser he should become in kingdom of God, according to the Bible.)
Besides, a lot of any entity in the universe, including atoms, electrons, and other elementary particles, is known to God. It is not a matter of prediction mankind is fond of. God must know everything in the past and the future over the entire life of the universe, which means omniscient and omnipotent.
Human ability of understanding something is in itself just one entity created at a certain point in the long life of the universe, which means mankind should be humble as much as possible.
With a lack of such humbleness, even if you have a trillion dollars in your pocket, you could not even design and run an appropriate supercomputer that can, provided that any necessary information is input, predict anything.
“EVERYTHING MUST BE DONE IN A PROPER AND ORDERLY WAY”

Four Enemies of Japan
Four Enemies of Japan
In September, 1972, Japanese Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka met Chairman of Chinese Communist Party Mao Tse-Tung (Mao Zedong) in Beijing.
The historic meeting led to normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and China. The key to the success of the meeting is China’s decision of abandoning demand against Japan for wartime reparations.
However, since the normalization, Japan has provided great economic assistance to China, which is said to reach 52 billion dollars in aggregate over 30 years.
(26 billion dollars paid or offered by the Japanese Government and another 26 billion dollars provided by private sectors of Japan, including loans and other forms of economic aids.)
These funds were used to build critical, social and economic infrastructures in China in 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990’s, which has never been taught in schools in China as historical facts, for some reasons.
The Japan’s aids allowed for construction, building up, or expansion of the Beijing capital airport, Wuhan airport, China’s national air control systems, the seaports of Qinhuangdao, Tsingtao, and other industrial areas, total 4,407Km rail roads, total 6.5 million KWh power stations, and so on.
These supports were continuously provided for China even during the height of the Cold War. This is a sheer difference between Japan’s relationships with China and the Soviet Union.
The Soviet Union could not compete with the U.S. economy. But it might have been still able to control their own people, while threatening West Europe with their armaments, unless Soviet citizens realized that they were overwhelmed by Japanese economy. And, when the Soviet people found that China was economically boosted by Japan to the extent they could not stand, the Soviet Union lost support of its own people and collapsed like castles made of sand. The Cold War ended truly by this way.
It is the strong upward trend in China’s economy in late 1980’s that really put an end to Soviet Union’s inclination to continue the Cold War state.

There is a report well known and taken as being true as to how the meeting between Kakuei Tanaka and Mao Tse-Tung went on in Beijing in 1972. They say that the two leaders had an amicable chat, being surrounded by their aids and colleagues including Chou Enlai and Masayoshi Ohira.
But, there is another version of reports. According to it, Mao Tse-Tung said to Kakuei Tanaka, “Japan has four enemies. First, America; second, Russia; third, EC (current EU); and fourth, China.” Having heard Mao’s argument, Kakuei Tanaka and other Japanese are said to have been glued to their seats in silence.
Mao Tse-Tung then reportedly suggested that China and Japan should be lined up alongside as alliance partners to cope with Japan’s three enemies.

As we consider the report today, it seems that China had been then very anxious about its four enemies: Japan, Russia, EC, and America.
When the two leaders met, it was 27 years after the end of WWII and 23 years after the founding of People’s Republic of China, when the 21st century looked like an impossible future.
But, over centuries, there is something that never changes in Japan as well as in China, such as geographic dimensions.
Yet, most significantly, there was an age when the two countries had no enemies at all; then ancient, wise Chinese held admiration for a legendary island of virtue in the eastern sea.
Truly even in the age of the First (Qin) Emperor of China, Japan was known as a holy, enchanted land.
