Divine Comedy 2007 (XI)

1. Lesotho, a former UK colony
Last night, a news TV program of a Japan's commercial TV station reported that there are only several pediatricians in Kingdom of Lesotho with population of two million.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lesotho

According to Wikipedia, "With a shortage of trained personnel and medical supplies, Lesotho is severely afflicted by HIV/AIDS. According to recent estimates, the prevalence is about 29%, one of the highest in the world. The United Nations projects that this will rise to 36% within fifteen years, resulting in a sharp drop in life expectancy. According to the Lesotho Bureau of Statistics, in 2001 life expectancy was estimated at forty-eight years for men and fifty-six for women. Recent statistics estimate about thirty-seven years. Many children have lost parents."

If you are a British doctor, you had better go and help the people of Lesotho.

2. A Japanese Heroine
Last night, a TV program of Japan's NHK reported on a lady recently released from a jail where she was put on a charge of theft.

Since she was 18 or 19 years old, she had never lived in a decent house or apartment for almost 40 years, for she had been abandoned by her family and she could not get a job due to various conditions related to the so called intellectual capacity.

She had been a homeless forced to get foods through theft. Things must have been repeated in the same cycle.

But, this time she was rescued by a social welfare body. For the first time, she had somebody that would accept her after the release from a prison.

It is because the body found that she is entitled to receive public assistance due to the conditions related to the so called intellectual capacity.

Though it must be a kind of humiliation for her to prove that she has been in special conditions related to the so called intellectual capacity since her school age, she can now receive public assistance and is allowed to live in a special facility or a decent apartment house a kind of which she has never lived in for 40 years.

In the apartment house, there are other ladies who are in more disadvantageous conditions than she. The lady, though a new comer, is now helping those other unluckier ladies.

After 40 years of unspeakable sufferings, her soul and spirit, however, do not look destroyed at all; indeed, she behaved in a good manner as a decent lady, which means that she had defeated devils.

Truly she is a heroine of these 40 years in Japan.

Probably, if you are put into her situation, your soul and spirit may be destroyed in three days and you might be willing to any indecent things to be rich following devil's temptation.

So, she is a heroine of these 40 years in Japan: a true blue blood to be in Heaven.

3. Mother Teresa
Princess Diana died on Aug. 31, 2001. The state funeral of Mother Teresa in India was conducted on Sept. 13, 2001.

Doesn't "13" look like a mirror image of "31" that corresponds to the day Princess Diana died.

I have been thinking about what the God wants me to realize in this series of tragedies.

Probably, the answer is that Mother Teresa died because her mission was over as Princess Diana had died.

Mother Teresa was living as someone to receive Princess Diana who had to leave the British Royal family so as to join Mother Teresa's mission.

But, as Princess Diana got absorbed in the romance with an Egyptian, a nephew of arms dealers who mostly worked for profits of Christians, the holy role assigned to Mother Teresa got meaningless.

When Princess Diana died, there was no reason for Mother Teresa's life in this world any more; so the God put an end to her life.

Indeed, the only way for Princess Diana to save her soul was to go to India and join Mother Teresa's mission.

Then the God must have blessed Mother Teresa as well as Princess Diana more.

(And, who is your Mother Teresa?)

4. Driver I
A car on which a husband and wife and their three children, all infants, got on was violently pushed into a sea from a bridge at one night a year ago in Japan.

As the driver who hit the car of the family is a young, drunken local public official and ran away without saving the drowning family, he has been being severely accused in a court and by the media as the most hateful enemy of society, since three infants died in the accident though the parents survived alive.

I suppose that a public organization in charge of management of the bridge should share responsibility, since they did not build a more secure bridge.

(And, if the rear-ended car had been running forward in an ordinary manner at a specific speed, when it was hit it might have had more force to go forward on a lane rather than to fly up aside and then roll over a side fence of a bridge into a sea below.

It might not be such a simple situation as claimed in the court that the crazy car collided from behind with the victimized car which was then pushed up and down to the sea over a fence of a bridge.)

5. Driver II
It is said that the driver for Princess Diana at her last night in Paris was drunk.

But, there are three other people, including Princess Diana, who were professional in security or experienced in dealing with security and a driver.

How can you believe that all of the three persons at the night when they knew they had to speed up in driving would not check conditions of their driver?

The driver employed by the Ritz Hotel must have been sober, since one of fellow passengers with Princess Diana in the car at the night was a son of the owner of the hotel.

The driver must have avoided causing any suspicion of drunkenness in the owner's son's mind, which would lead to a loss of his job.

(It might not be such a simple situation as claimed in the court that the drunken-driven car collided with a pillar of a tunnel in Paris to kill precisely three people except a bodyguard.)
* * *

Now you know who are heroines or victims and who must make great efforts to be forgiven by the God.

By the way, it is September "13" that "the launch of the Lunar Orbit Explorer 'KAGUYA' (SELENE) by H-IIA Launch Vehicle No. 13 (H-IIA F13) was rescheduled to."

As I wrote several months ago, it would provide new pictures of the earth observed from the moon to finally supersede the famous one taken in 1969.

(Truly, the world has been full of problems, at least, since 1997 or 1969. But, it is just a few months since my strategy on EEE Reporter changed. Is a life long or short if you were living in 1997 or 1969, or even if you are not a princess or rather you are somebody more majestic?)
