A Japanese Journalist vs. Prime Ministers and Dark Forces

A Japanese Journalist vs. Prime Ministers and Dark Forces

(Un journaliste japonais vs Premiers ministres et forces obscures)

In the US, the former Attorney General was as a matter of fact forced to resign despite President Mr. George Bush's strong friendship due to persistent pursuit by the US media.

In Japan, a few months ago, then Prime Minister Mr. Shinzo Abe resigned at his own initiative despite expected accusation against his decision on the unthinkable timing which is against commonsense and a national political schedule.

Behind Mr. Shinzo Abe's decision, there was no strong and persistent pursuit by the Japanese mainstream media except one notable journalist Mr. Takashi Tachibana.

Mr. Takashi Tachibana publicly announced that he would fight against Mr. Shinzo Abe a year ago when Mr. Abe was elected prime minister, since Mr. Abe did not look like trustworthy and inspiring while keeping controversial association with super-rich people in various sectors.

Eventually, Mr. Shinzo Abe resigned due to his health problem, probably aggravated by psychological pressure from Mr. Takashi Tachibana who 30 years ago had also contributed to resignation of Kakuei Tanaka, a partner of then President Richard Nixon, from Japan's premiership by reporting so many scandals surrounding Kakuei Tanaka, which had made a hero of the then budding journalist Mr. Takashi Tachibana, though Mr. Tachibana has a very different personality from that of Mr. Bob Woodward.

Recently Mr. Takashi Tachibana interviewed a certain ex-prosecutor who is notorious for his hospitable service as a lawyer to gangsters or organized crime.

(This series of interview has been published in a certain monthly Japanese magazine, namely the "Bungei Shyunjyu," the latest edition of which contains many other interesting articles and reports.

Mr. Takashi Tachibana showed two big concerns in this interview: Why public prosecutors sometimes suddenly attack prominent super-rich men and notable politicians and also suddenly stop such investigation in some cases; and how much unlawful, dark forces have penetrated into the Japanese society.

You may easily understand the answer to the first one, since prosecutors also have pride, prejudice, and their own organizational priority and interest in keeping their own influence on various tiers in the society, even though regarded as political posturing, which is a source of their own profits and identities.

But, Mr. Tachibana's second concern may be more difficult to address, though you may be aware of a similar issue existent in the American society today, since the sub-prime loan problems are suggesting dubious association of related businesses with the Mafia and their friends.

Mr. Takashi Tachibana said in his interview with the ex-prosecutor who has been nowadays providing legal service to gangsters mainly in Osaka, "So, the Osaka area has been without doubt widely under covert influence of unlawful, dark forces, hasn't it?"

But, on last Sunday, voters of Osaka City, the center of West Japan, elected a candidate from the opposition party as their new mayor denying the incumbent mayor supported by the ruling parties, which must have a shattering influence on Prime Minister Mr. Yasuo Fukuda who is said to be measuring the best timing for next general election.

In the US Presidential Election, I think the involvement of the Mafia and their friends in the sub-prime loan problems should be also a decisive factor for voters to elect their next president.

But, would Mr. Bob Woodward venture into the fight against the unlawful, dark forces hidden in the US financial sector?

Or is there any other hero in the US media who would tackle this new kind of loan-sharking?

Why wouldn't Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton declare the War on Sub-Prime Loan Exploitation that has so far resulted in total hundreds of billion dollar loss and emergency public fund infusion to the financial sectors in the US, Europe, and Japan?

Indeed, you need a journalist who can stand not only US presidents but also unlawful, dark forces here and there.

Truly, the U.S. and Japan are the world number one and number two economic powers that are full of sins even pious Muslims, if not members of AlQaeda or the Taliban, hiding or living deep in a mountain region or in a rural or barren field dreaming of luscious Heaven cannot bear.

If a devil serves delicious cuisine, it will harm you eventually.

But, good and holy medicine tastes bitter even in Tokyo, Paris, and New York, though in China they say foods and medicines are from the same source having the same effect.

Anyway, please don't come down with a cold, since the holy mission and program are going on.)
