Olives and the Glory

(Ex-Olympic Main Stadium in Tokyo)

Olives and the Glory

This morning in Japan, when I happened to listen to shortwave radio broadcasting from Seoul, Korea, they said in a Japanese program that the manager of the Chinese cheerleader team organized for the Olympic Games was a Korean woman.

As she had various experiences as a cheerleader in international events including ones in China, a Chinese authority chose her to lead Chinese girls who were also selected to do cheerleading in stadiums and fields during the Olympic Games competitions.

China can adopt Tai Chi or taijiquan to their cheerleading in Olympic Games, since it looks nice even when Japanese young ladies are practicing it.

(I do not perform it myself, since I loved to feel the invisible passing of time quietly rather than the emodied and tangible passing of atmosphere around myself, though it was a thing observed when I was young.)

SECTION I: The Vatican and Olives

The Vatican will be the last sovereign nation that sends its athletes and players to Olympic Games, even if the God should encourage it.

Jesus Christ never mentioned Socrates, Plato, Euclid, or any other heroes of ancient Greece, including Alexander the Great.

Jesus Christ never mentioned Pyramids, the Sphinx, Cleopatra, and any other splendors of ancient Egypt.

Yet, Jesus Christ picked up a Roman coin to mention Caesar.

Accordingly, the Pope seems to be forbidden to respect the ancient Greek civilization and Egyptian civilization, though he can assume a successor of Caesar or a Roman Emperor.

But the issue here is an olive, a branch of which is given to a winner in an Olympic game. Is an olive Hellenistic? Yet Israel’s national emblem has olive branches.

The point at issue here is which Saint Malachy meant in his notable prophecies on Popes, a Hellenistic olive or an Israeli olive.

SECTION II: Gloria Olivae - The Glory of the Olive

There are two deemed successors of the Roman Emperor today: the Pope of the Vatican and the U.S. President.

But, it is Popes that were referred to in the famous prophecy Saint Malachy made 870 years ago.

----------------------------------------------
The "Glory of the Olive" (Gloria Olivae).

That's what St. Malachy's famous prophecy has to say about our latest Pope. Everyone thought that was a sign that the new Pope would come from the Benedictine order, which is symbolised by the olive. He isn't. However, he did take on the name of Benedict XVI, which makes one wonder if he is intentionally encouraging belief in the Malachy Prophecies. This is the second time recently that the catholic church's chosen decisions have seemed designed to agree with the Malachy Prophecy, the first being when they decided to hold John Paul II's funeral on the day of an eclipse, when his Malachy Prophecy had described him as the Pope "of the eclipsed sun".

----------------------------------------------

According to a theory, Isaac Newton thought that the end of the world would come in 2060 or later.

Malachy’s prophecy can be interpreted as the end of the world would come when the next Pope is inaugurated.

Will Pope Benedict XVI survive until 2060?

But, how the incumbent Pope is really associated with the Glory of the Olive? Will he join the pagan Olympic Games, like the U.S. President as one of the audience?

Probably, the olive must have nothing to do with the Olympic Games but something to do with the nation Israel.

In my feeling, there must be some secret agents of governments being mingled in athletes and officials involved in the Olympic Games.

I also feel that Israel must have been promoting undercover work in the Vatican after WWII. The Vatican was a big factor in Europeans’ attitudes toward the anti-Judaist policy of Nazis. It must have given a grave lesson to Israelis. So, it is natural that Israel has been working on the Vatican in a very serious manner after WWII.

In short, I think the conclave in 2005 must have been targeted by Israeli secret agencies. And, they succeeded in contributing to the then Cardinal Mr. Joseph Ratzinger’s inauguration of the Pope.

Therefore, the then Cardinal Mr. Joseph Ratzinger’s inauguration as the Pope means also a victory of Israel, since the Pope looks very cool to Muslims, though in 2006 he visited Turk, an Islamic nation exceptionally friendly to Israel.

According to my theory, the current Pope can be really described as “the Glory of the Olive.”

SECTION III: Pope Benedict XVI and St. Augustine

In another interpretation of Malachy’s prophecy, we have to focus on Pope Benedict XVI’s inclination to teaching of St. Augustine.
St. Augustine was born in the fourth century in a city of a North African region presently called Algeria.

-----------------------------------------------------

In a gesture of rapprochement with a theologian whose relations with the Vatican have sometimes been strained, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, the church's top doctrinal official, was the featured speaker at an Oct. 27 symposium marking Fr. Johann Baptist Metz's 70th birthday.

While some hailed Ratzinger's action as an olive branch for church dissidents, liberal Swiss theologian Fr. Hans Kung blasted Metz for sharing a stage with Ratzinger without pressing him on issues of church reform.

Metz is known as one of Germany's leading theological minds and the father of "political theology," arguing that Christianity must be involved in political and social struggles. His work in the 1960s and 1970s was foundational for liberation theology, a movement criticized by both Ratzinger and the pope for allegedly stressing this-worldly political progress at the expense of eternal salvation….

Cardinal Ratzinger, of course, has gone on to become Pope Benedict XVI and one of the main reasons that liberal Catholics were so appalled by his elevation was precisely because of the key role he played in breaking the liberation theology movement, which had essentially sought to supplant Catholic dogma with Marxist ideology and turn the clergy into political activists. So this appearance with one of the leaders of the movement, and one whom he'd disciplined at that, is a famous/infamous incident

In my view, one can best understand Ratzinger by locating him within the movement known as la nouvelle theologie (the new theology). This movement, associated primarily with the Jesuit School of Studies in Lyon, France, and especially the work of Henri de Lubac, has several characteristics. It sought to reform the dominant neo-scholastic theology of its time by going back and retrieving both the theology (especially Augustine) and the liturgical practices of the patristic period. This retrieval focused not on the historical criticism of the scriptures, but on the multiple senses of the scriptures that the fathers of the church elaborated. In addition, this retrieval sought to modify the post-Tridentine liturgy through a retrieval of the liturgical practices of the early church

-----------------------------------------------------

A saint from Algeria can be regarded as having an olive color of the skin. As St. Augustine can be symbolized by the olive, the victory in the ideological dispute of the cardinal who respected St. Augustine so much can be described as “the Glory of the Olive.”

-----------------------------
As excellently explained by Tarsisius van Bavel O.S.A., Roman North Africa was originally state property, and then given in huge tracts to wealthy Roman families as absent owners.

North Africa supplied much of the grain and olive oil consumed in Rome. It was produced by poor tenant farmers and seasonal workers.

By the time of Augustine, the protection of individual rights of the weak within the Roman Empire had in effect ceased.

This was because the authority and status of the Empire had greatly declined.

Augustine assumed the role of a political activist in order to protect those on the margins of society (the marginalised), defend the rights of the poor.

Government officials were often corrupt and not interested in the poor. They levied high taxes on those least able to pay them.

Hence the frequently unemployed seasonal workers - the harvesters of the grain, the tillers of the soil and those tending the olive trees - were victims of exploitation, and lacked political power...

-----------------------------

In this context, Malachy’s prophecy on Pope Benedict XVI is proved to be very reasonable.

Liberals in the Vatican who respect Karl Marx have lost influential power in the church system as Pope Benedict XVI was inaugurated, which can be likened to "the Glory of the Olive."

SECTION IV: The Vatican and China

If Mr. Barack Obama won the US Presidential Election, you may call it “the Glory of the Olive,” too.

But, it is likely that supporters of Mr. John McCain love the teaching of St. Augustine more than supporters of Mr. Barack Obama do.

Whichever will be elected as the next US President, China will continue to influence the U.S. President as we today observe.

In fact, President Mr. George W. Bush is apt to take easy measures in diplomacy these days as shown in the Take-Shima case, though he seems to stop changing his view on North Korea in terms of support for terrorism, while North Korea still holds the Japanese abductees.

The relationship between the Vatican and China, a nation today based on institutional Marxism, is also a big issue in a different context from that of the relationship between the Vatican and Israel.

From this point of view, "the Glory of the Olive" must mean that the Vatican will not be influenced by China to the extent U.S. leaders look so nowadays.

************************************************************************

The last pope is described as "Petrus Romanus - Peter Roman" by the prophet Malachy.

When Israel and China start to play a critical or threatening role each with the United States in the near future, the era of Peter Roman may come.

The unholy relationships between the Vatican (with non-Marxian Europe) and Israel, China, and the United States might provoke a huge crisis.

For example, a tie-up of the Vatican with Israel may push the U.S. to take more military measures against Islamic enemies, while triggering a civil war-like turmoil in China, all as the aftermath of the "Glory of the Olive."

In this scenario, the organization of the Vatican can dissolve or be disintegrated leaving only "Pope Peter" in Rome where followers of Jesus Christ will not make a pilgrimage any more, since the Messiah will come again to create a new church system for survival of mankind for another 1000 years.

Otherwise, the Newton’s mysterious prediction might come true around 2060.
