P + P = P + P + P + P*

P + P = P + P + P + P*

As mankind, it must be necessary for us to review justification to put US$ 5.5 billion to the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), namely “the world's largest and highest-energy particle accelerator complex, intended to collide opposing beams of protons (one of several types of hadrons) with very high kinetic energy. Its main purpose is to explore the validity and limitations of the Standard Model, the current theoretical picture for particle physics.”

The costs of LHC are distributed to member countries as follows with Japan as the seventh largest sponsor of the project:

Specifically, scientists are trying to find a source of mass, weight, or gravity:
--------------------------------------------------------
The LHC should answer one very simple question: What is mass?

"We know the answer will be found at the LHC," said Jim Virdee, a particle physicist at Imperial College London.

The favoured model involves a particle called the Higgs boson - dubbed the "God Particle". According to the theory, particles acquire their mass through interactions with an all-pervading field carried by the Higgs.

The latest astronomical observations suggest ordinary matter - such as the galaxies, gas, stars and planets - makes up just 4% of the Universe.

The rest is dark matter (23%) and dark energy (73%). Physicists think the LHC could provide clues about the nature of this mysterious "stuff".

But Professor Virdee told BBC News: "Nature can surprise us... we have to be ready to detect anything it throws at us."

--------------------------------------------------------

More specifically, when a proton (P) collides with another proton (P) standing still, an antiproton (P*) is created as follows:

P + P = P + P + P + P*

where P+P* = 0.

This is a world where commonsense is not the norm.

(Ex. 5 + 5 = 5 + 5 + 5 - 5 or 0 = 5 - 5, though "P" has more contents and meanings than a simple integer such as "5.")

Yet, I am afraid that mankind cannot correctly and righteously interpret any results from this LHC experiment, since mankind cannot still correctly and righteously interpret a result of the so-called "double-slit experiment" in quantum mechanics.

It can be illustrated as follows, though a "photon" is a state of a particle of a light, since energy of a light can be concentrated into one point in space or on a course where it flies at each moment:

-----------------------------------
When it became possible to perform that experiment, it became apparent that a single photon has its own wave front that passes through both slits, and that the single photon will show up on the detector screen according to the net probability values resulting from the co-incidence of the two probability waves coming by way of the two slits. When a great number of photons are sent through the apparatus one by one and recorded on photographic film, the same interference pattern emerges that had been seen before when many photons were being emitted at the same time.

-----------------------------------

Before spending US$ 5.5 billion to LHC, we had better understand some mysteries on the nature of light, an electron, and other elementary particle that behaves like a wave when moving alone as a particle.

The key to understanding is of course a paradigm change.

If size and an amount of mass of a target object get extraordinarily smaller, you need paradigm change to correctly understand its behavior.

A shift from the Newton mechanics to the quantum mechanics is a change in paradigm needed in this atomic era; but it is still insufficient to fully recognize the world of the dimension of 0.000000000000001 meters.

I mean that if you alone are a core of an atom, other human being is roughly as large as 10,000 times the distance between the earth and the sun.

Then how can other human beings understand your behavior as a core of an atom? You may look like a particle or a wave to others according to an environment, since they are enormously large compared with you.

Yet, having discussed thus, what can mankind learn from this lesson in terms of love and peace?

That is all for today.

Indeed, interference patterns are interesting, though they look like concentric circles sometimes especially on a computer screen or a TV monitor....

Mar 9:13 But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

Mar 9:14 And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.

Mar 9:15 And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.
