"What Manner of Salutation"

(The Tokyo Bay and Tokyo)

"What Manner of Salutation"

As I once emphasized, the economic slump of Japan in 1990’s cannot be fully explained without taking into account environmental issues and related concerns (which can also apply to the current semi-Great Depression in the U.S. and the world).

Some Japanese critics argue that the Clinton Administration took Japan as its de-facto enemy after the Cold War, trying to harass reasonable efforts of Japan to restore its financial market having been damaged by the burst of the bubble in early 1990’s.

Today, I can confirm that my theory is supported by the debacle of Wall Street and the catastrophic transit of the U.S. economy to recession taking the global economy with it.

We have to take into consideration environmental issues and concerns even when analyzing this economic situation in the U.S. and the world, since prior to this sudden fall of economy there had been so many arguments and concerns about CO2 and the global warming which must be just a tip of the iceberg, namely the massive destruction of the nature on the earth.

Indeed, due to the bubble economy in late 1980’s and early 1990’s, Japanese industries, businesses, and consumers have been soiling and damaging its nature to the extent that gods of Japan, if so existent in the nature of the Japanese Islands, must have been highly provoked, since many shrines came to be surrounded by ugly development projects here and there.

Accordingly, gods of Japan, in the number of eight millions or so according to a myth, must have intervened and exposed many evil deeds and financial criminal acts of the people, so that the Japanese stopped to pursue the wealth getting so huge in the money market and getting further unproprtionally huge to the reasonable and sound level for the living in the Japanese Islands based on the Japanese cultural and spiritual traditions.

Based on this insight, I propose a theory for the determent of economic growth.

It is intended to know the present level of allowed economic and financial activities.

L = F (a, b, c, d, …)

L: the allowed limit of the economic activities in terms of yen or the dollar.
F: specific mathematical expression with specific procedures to handle variables a, b, c, d, …
a, b, c, d, …: variables to take into account effective in analyzing relationships between the status of economy and such non-economic factors as environment, nature, culture, human psychology, ethics, religion, and so on.

For example,
a = A1/A2
where,
A1 means a total area of the land destroyed, damaged, or badly altered by development projects; and
A2 means the total land area of a nation.

b = B1/B2
where,
B1 means a total amount, quantity, or weight of hazardous products, industrial wastes, harmful chemicals, unregulated output of used or excessive energy to environment.
B2 means the total industrial and material output.

For instance, if only 1% of the national land is harmed, A1/A2 = 0.01; if only 1% of the industrial output in the national economy is harmful, B1/B2 = 0.01.

Then, if multiplication is appropriate here, 0.01 x 0.01 = 0.0001, namely 0.01%.
Conversely, 99.99% of the environment is fairly intact as 100 - 0.01 = 99.99.

However, if the pious or ideal living of the people in the country requires 80% of the completely intact nature, the allowance is just 19.99%, since 99.99 – 80 = 19.99.

If from the nature of mankind the allowance or margin less than 20% causes mankind to start to lose control in their behaviors and activities, it is concluded that the nation gets into a dangerous course even with 1% of destruction of the nature and 1% of harmful materials against all the output.

It can be so, since any threshold related to human nature is very sensible, for example sometimes a matter of ppm (parts per million).

And, actually, in my observation, a catastrophe started in the U.S. economy in September, 2009, while people were talking about CO2 and global warming, housing development, oil booms and corn booms, an unlimited number of development projects in China, India, and Brazil as well as endless use of weapons in war zones.

(After all, what must be perfect cannot be allowed to include any part that is imperfect. Life, being complete, must not include any percent of death, incomplete, since 100% is life and less than 100% is death. )

Ok, I will tell you some.

I have a feeling that some first-rate professors and experts in Europe, North America, or somewhere got great hints and incentives from EEE Reporter and succeeded in enhancing their work and performance in various fields (though in a more sophisticated manner than EEE Reporter’s).

That is why I like to contribute to future Nobel Prize owners for economics who might happen to be some of current EEE Reporter viewers.

(In actuality, it must be simple. If a ratio of pious people among the whole population gets less than 20%, an Angel would notify the God of the situation. Then another Angel must be sent from Heaven to deal with the matter very properly. Be among the 20% if you have no memory of the time when you were around an Angel before birth.

Luk 1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

Luk 1:29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

Luk 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
