"The Kingdom, and The Power, and The Glory"

"The Kingdom, and The Power, and The Glory"

"Americans love, definitely, a big car," said an American automobile industry veteran.

That separates Americans from Europeans.

But, even fools can understand the feeling of loving a big car.

And, die-hard fools are driving only big cars all through their lives, you might think humbly.

What I want to emphasize is that it is too easy and irresponsible to think that you are great enough to neglect the God or Allah as you own a childishly big car or a foolishly tall building, since the issue is a ratio of a profit over sales.

As you see something alarming was happening in 2007, since a business record of GM is itself a good economic indicator.

Two factors were then widely discussed: an expected debacle of the mortgage market, which was denied by FRB, and a forecast panic to be triggered by the crude oil market getting frenzy, which the Bush Administration overlooked.

And, in the summer of 2008 when Mr. McCain got a chance to win the Presidential Election, the U.S. President and the FRB Chairman both officially assured a state of economic stability and sustainability to American consumers, which was conveniently forgotten after the September 15's Lehman Brothers shock.

As they know that they can run away with big money if a crisis occurs leaving the poor in a mess, it has been always better for super rich Americans to deny or neglect the shadow of a coming crisis, which they actually did in 2007 and 2008 until September 15.

What I am suggesting is that the present state of GM is a result of rich executives' pursuing betterment of their own alone.

"What is good for me must be good for GM. What looks like being good for GM but definitely not good for me is also not good for GM eventually," they must have thought.

A change in their mind must be the starting point for the reshaping of GM.

There are more serious view points, however, on GM:

-----
Q: Why do GM workers on the assembly line make 30 dollars an hour?

A: Because the guys running the company (into the ground) need to make 20 million

A: But come on, a $30,000 GM/Ford/Chrysler vehicle loses more value over 3 years verses a $30,000 foreign car.

It's not a good investment in a depriciating asset!

Something has been wrong with both people and products involved in GM...

Mat 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Mat 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Mat 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.

Mat 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
