"Blessed are the peacemakers: the children of God"

(Bonjour, Tokyo!!)

Small Wisdom and Large Wisdom

This is the season when everybody is tested.

From Thailand to the Philippines, further Japan to the U.S. and the U.K., and all around Greece, every party concerned is tested.

Even U.S. Secretary of the Transportation today visited the headquarters of Toyota Motor Corporation in Toyota City, Aichi Pref., Japan.

SECTION I: Japanese Security

During World War II, the Empire of Japan fought against the United States to do its justice, no matter how it was judged by history, since the U.S. helped China who had first started a military attack on Japanese and Western citizens living in Shanghai in 1932 and 1937.

Even during the Battle of Okinawa (Mary 16 - June 23, 1945) 12,520 U.S. and allied soldiers were killed (including one commander general) and 72,012 U.S. and allied soldiers were wounded, while 94.000 Japanese civilians were killed.

I-1. Japan's Enemy

The countries which would invade the Japanese economic waters are Russia, South Korea, China, and Taiwan if Japan should not try to defend itself by foolishly interpreting its Pacifist Constitution (which cannot be a suicidal constitution).

The countries which would apply military pressure and extract a political concession from Japan are the U.S., Russia, South Korea, China, and North Korea if Japan should not try to defend itself by foolishly interpreting its Pacifist Constitution (which cannot be a suicidal constitution).

The countries which would like to make Japan a historical enemy so as to turn attentions of their people from their domestic problems are the U.S., Russia, South Korea, China, and North Korea if Japan should not try to defend itself.

However the security partnership of Japan and the United States could solve most of the defense issues against the U.S. itself, Taiwan, and Korea, since it implies a Japan's choice for mutual prosperity with those countries based on the principle of American-Christianity-based democracy and Anglo-Saxon-Judaistic economic paradigm.

I-2. Japan's Responsibility for Far East Security

South Korea needs the U.S. military support and Japan's backup to maintain peace with North Korea, while leaders of China needs North Korea as their military vanguard, and leaders of North Korea needs enemies out of South Korea and its allies to maintain its dictatorship.

Taiwan needs the U.S. military support and Japan's backup to maintain peace with China, while Chinese leaders justify their rule based on the historical war and victory against those who fled to Taiwan from the Chinese Continent after the civil war in 1940's.

As Taiwan and South Korea were ruled by the Empire of Japan before the end of WWII, they do not like to solicit military aid directly from Japan. They rather opt for the combined support from Japan and the U.S.

I-3. The United States

The U.S. cannot neglect a potential that Japan or China might become a sole major military power in the Far East, driving out the U.S. military presence.

The Far East is the truly hot zone with Japan, China, Korea, and Taiwan where many world-leading businesses are established like Toyota, Honda, Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, and so on. Friendly relationships with the Far East is now essential for the U.S. economy.

To make business smoothly and favorably, the U.S. must be respected as the most influential player in the Far East. China only respects a stronger and richer country than itself. The U.S. must keep strong military presence in this region in this context.

As the Chinese Communist Party does not even allow American Christian missionaries freely act and work in China, it is out of question for the U.S. to trust China 100% while expanding its economic tie with China.

If America has no military bases in the Far East, will China observe any political rules the U.S. has so far introduced and promoted? Chinese Naval fleets will dare to patrol around Hawaii and off California, requesting every concession from the U.S. Government and American businesses. Every violation of international trade rules and treaties might be the first step of China's future lawless economic invasion of mainland America.

If China regards the U.S. as a coward, they would even sell out all the U.S. Treasury Bonds it has now, causing the collapse of the U.S. financial system and the value of dollars as the first step of China's future lawless political invasion of mainland America.

The United States needs military bases in Japan and South Korea if not in Taiwan. But the cause lies in China rather than in the U.S.: its anti-Christian philosophy.

I-4. Interim Conclusions

Japan should not take lightly American military presence in the Far East.

However, relocation of one or two divisions of the U.S. Marine Corps can be completed in a few days during times of war.

In principle, the U.S. Marine Air Station with a mile-long runway can be moved to anywhere with a comparable size in a few days during times of war.

If the U.S. President orders a commander of a Marine division to move anywhere as soon as possible, the commander will find a mile-long runway in any appropriate location to move there in a few days, which is essential for military capability.

So, ideally, President Mr. Barack Obama should order the commander of the Marine division stationed in Okinawa to move immediately to South Korea and Taiwan, since Okinawa itself can be protected by the Japanese Self-Defence Forces.

(Note: The approval rate of the Hatoyama Cabinet has fallen to 20.5% this weekend. If the U.S. should reject any proposal from P.M. Mr. Yukio Hatoyama on the U.S. Marine base relocation within or outside Okinawa at the end of May, his approval rate will surely touch a 10% level, since this relocation was promised 15 years ago to make residents around the base live safer from accidents or crimes by U.S. Marines.

In either case, it will be difficult for P.M. Mr. Hatoyama to keep his position till this autumn when President Mr. Obama plans to come to Tokyo for an APEC conference and further visit Hiroshima or Nagasaki.)

SECTION II: Acts of God over 200,000 Years

I purchased a book yesterday that discusses eruptions of volcanoes, termination of animals, and outbreaks of human population over 200,000 years.

For example, the ancient Mesopotamian Civilization started to collapse 4000 years ago due to brine damage. At the time, the Euphrates could not carry out sufficiently salty compounds of the ground to the sea any more. The size of crops drastically decreased. Cities could not be sustained any more. The clan of Abraham and others were forced to move, eventually, to Palestine.

Even today, the salinity of the Persian Gulf is 4.2% or more, the highest in the world as with the Res Sea!

As for volcanoes, a famous picture by Edvard Munch reflects the effect on the sky over Norway of a great volcanic eruption in Indonesia in May 1883, which caused an average temperature drop by 0.5 to 0.8 degrees Centigrade in the north hemisphere.

Today, there are three great dormant volcanoes which could cause a similar devastating effect:
1. Yellowstone, USA
2. Yosemite, USA
3. Naples, Italy

Especially the volcanic area near Naples has a 15-km diameter crater, 150 times larger than Mt. Vesuvius.
http://www.volcano.si.edu/world/volcano.cfm?vnum=0101-01=

Mankind should be prepared for the coming great eruptions each of which would half destroy U.S. economy or European economy.

Unless Mt. Fuji responds to anger of the God, I suppose, the Far East is the best place on the earth for prosperity of mankind.

SECTION III: Greek Crisis

The Greek Crisis is not a crisis of capitalism like in the case of the Lehman Shock.

It is a crisis of seeking selfish riches and pursuing irresponsible money by, or involving, a majority of citizens as well as capitalists.

If a man, a worker or a capitalist, leaves God, only money can be his destination. And, money can be obtained without hard working, easily through consumer credit.

----------
The other weakness of Greek capitalism is revealed by its heavy dependence on the state. The Greek bourgeoisie developed much later than the stronger more powerful national bourgeoisies of countries like Britain, France and Germany. The backward nature of Greek capitalism has always meant therefore that private capital required massive subsidies from the state...

The then deputy governor of the Bank of Greece (the central bank), Panayotis Thomopoulos, was boasting that, "Greece has 55% of the European average in relation to consumer credit as a percentage of GDP, so there is still some way to go...

Now these two sources of economic growth, state spending and credit from the banks, have dried up. They have gone beyond the limit of what is materially possible. The banks are in crisis and the state is overburdened with debt.

http://www.socialist.net/the-crisis-of-greek-capitalism-2010.htm
----------

The Greek Crisis is not a crisis of capitalism, since there is no such a thing as capitalism.

There are only willingness, desire, planning, actions, and pursuit of happy, very happy, and super happy life by citizens, rich people and capitalists neglecting the poorer.

Historically, the concept of capitalism helps citizens, rich people and capitalists pursue money and a legally unlimited amount of money neglecting the poorer.

They say, "This is capitalism not my wrong doing!"

But, there is no such a thing as capitalism, since there is only pursuit of money and a legally unlimited amount of money neglecting the poorer.

Economics should stop serving capitalism, if any.

(No discussion about a legally allowed limit on money in capitalism means economics is incomplete and thus its subordinate concept capitalism is. It is a kind of description of reality and possibility without any guiding principle. The status of economics and capitalism must be first questioned. Do you call your desire capitalism using logics and formulae?)

*** *** *** ***

Yesterday, a diplomatic expert said in a TV program, "President Obama showed signs of temper or an anger when he talked with Prime Minister Hatoyama in Washington D.C. recently (since Hatoyama did not keep his words)..."

But, notable Japanese journalist Mr. Soichiro Tahara wrote, "P.M. Mr. Hatoyama is going to fix the Futenma issue on the U.S. Marine base and then fire the Secretary General Mr. Ichiro Ozawa (since Mr. Ozawa is so unpopular while so influential in the ruling DPJ)...and only one of Mr. Hatoyama and Mr. Ozawa seems to be able to survive this season..."

Indeed, Japanese journalists are also being tested as with the Obama Administration in the era of three G2s (Japan-USA, USA-China, and Japan-China).

It is so, since this is the era that a crisis once in a century occures every three year surpassing each preceding one.
