"the salvation of God" - God in the Human Brain

Around Tokyo

God in the Human Brain

One human body consists of 60 trillion cells.

However every day 15 trillion cells die and the same number of cells are born.  For example, each cell of the intestinal mucosa can live only for one or two days.

The number of neuron cells in the human brain is a little less than 200 billion.  The cerebellum has 100 billion cells and the cerebrum has scores of billion cells.

In the cerebrum, the center of human intelligence, each cell has tens of thousand of synapses each of which connects neurons or nerve cells.  Accordingly there are thousands of trillion synapses in the cerebrum.

When a man gets older, synapses come to malfunction, though they are carrying information in the human brain. As synapses connect nerve cells, information is exchanged between cells in a form of chemicals called neurotransmitters.  But with age, synapses come to fail to connect nerve cells and the number of neurotransmitters decreases.  And finally old men would become demented to any extent.

The human nerve cells increase till a man becomes three years old or so.  After that they never increase, but when a man becomes a teenager, nerve cells start to decrease in number.

From a religious point of view, the concept of God exists or can reside in the human brain.  It means we need thousands of trillion synapses in the cerebrum to image, imagine, consider, accept, or deny the concept of God.

And, combinations of these synapses and nerve cells, including remote combinations over bridges of other synapses, can be almost infinite in number, and contents and conditions of neurotransmitters must be also infinite in number.  Therefore, we cannot practically simulate the work of the human brain.

And from the beginning, we cannot even define what we are with these infinite number of combinations of these synapses and conditions of neurotransmitters.  We cannot formulate physical, chemical, and biological phenomena in the human brain in a scientific manner.

Or I should say that we don't exist more than God doesn't for us in terms of structure and mechanisms of the brain.

But what brain structure do angels in Heaven have?

Learning has been considered a process that can strengthen or weaken individual synapses, through long-term potentiation and depression. Recently, the detailed molecular structures that occur in synapses have been found to be extremely complex with thousands of interlocking proteins maintaining the extra cellular space between neurons.

Luk 3:6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
Luk 3:7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Luk 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
