"they brought young children" - Birds and Flowers

Tokyo Station

Birds and Flowers

Christ Jesus was poor while living and preaching unlike the Pope and priests of today.  But how did He earn money?

Christ Jesus healed sick people and drove out demons from haunted people.  Then, the families of those saved by Christ Jesus must have invited Him to meals.  But as symbolized by the incident that Christ Jesus was arrested after the last supper while He was sleeping in a garden, Christ Jesus must have slept in open in most of nights.  He actually said, "Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head."

Christ Jesus had some followers who must have carried some money or earned some money working in towns and villages while following Christ Jesus.  Even Judas is believed to have carried a money bag.  But from the beginning, these followers were mere workers, fishermen, or farmers; they were poor.

The most important thing was that He didn't go and preach for rich people, although today's churches welcome connections with rich people.  No matter how poor Christ Jesus and the Apostles were, they went to poor people and preached among them.

This is the essence of Christianity, since there are birds in the air and the flowers in the field that do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet heavenly Father feeds them.  Believers are much more valuable than those birds and flowers.

So, historically millions or more poor people who have been saved by these words of Christ Jesus, which must be the reason why Christianity has prevailed (even among birds and flowers).

Mar 10:13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
Mar 10:14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
