Forests and pasture around the Airport have been too much developed, with regret.

Divine Comedy 2007 (III)

1. The Unknown Power Struggle for Decades
Japan has entered a national election mode. On July 29, 2007, half of its Upper House members (namely, 121 among 242 seats) will be newly elected.

A person of the largest influence in the Upper House is Mr. Mikio Aoki who has been a long and serious rival to Mr. Ichiro Ozawa, the representative of the Democratic Party of Japan, the largest opposition party.

On a superficial level, the rivalry seems to be between Prime Minister Mr. Shinzo Abe (the Liberal Democratic Party) and Mr. Ozawa; but as Mr. Aoki is a key figure who allowed a faction Mr. Abe belongs to to have taken the prime minister-ship contiguously twice (Mr. Mori and Mr. Koizumi) and who is a successor of leaders of another (once-largest) faction in which Mr. Ozawa once vied for power but lost, Mr. Aoki may be regarded as a true gray eminence or the power behind the throne in this decade in Japan, which however no foreign media seems to be interested in.

So, the July 29's election will be the final battle between the two old rivals, Mr. Aoki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikio_Aoki) and Mr. Ozawa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ichiro_Ozawa), to put an end to their mysterious power struggles that have lasted, since Mr. Ozawa left the Liberal Democratic Party in 1993, over the death of four Prime Ministers from the now Mr. Aoki's faction in 1993, 2000 and 2006 .

2. From a TV Studio to the Diet
Japanese parties in every election try to choose several candidates from socially well-known people. Being well-known means mostly making TV appearance often in any style. As with other democratic nations, there have been unique lawmakers of the Diet in Japan who were an actress, a professional sportsman, a comedian, a TV personality, a TV announcer, etc., though majority are ex-bureaucrats or sons or daughters of ex-lawmakers.

As former Prime Minister Mr. Jyunichiro Koizumi is a kind of genius in appealing to voters through a TV camera and has made the ability a decisive source of his power, this trend of political commercialism is still gaining momentum, breaking an old-fashioned scheme of election based on traditional human, administrative, and business relationships.

In addition, for July 29's election, a female TV newscaster is going to run as a candidate from LDP. I am wishing her success just like every non-nonsense candidate. (She may become another female Defense Minister someday, as it is not so inconvenient, since Japan has renounced war in its Constitution.)

3. Media, Entertainment, and Advertisement
In this context, the U.S. is more advanced, partly because the economic size of the U.S. is 2.5 times Japan's and the U.S. is a multi-cultural society.

In the U.S. in 2006, according to http://www.plunkettresearch.com/Industries/EntertainmentMedia/EntertainmentMediaTrends/tabid/228/Default.aspx:
"- Total spending (including advertising) on media of all types in the U.S.: $900 billion
- Advertising spending alone in the U.S.: $296 billion
- The number of FM radio stations in the U.S.: 9,042
- The number of movie tickets sold each year in the U.S.: 1.4 billion
- The number of broadband Internet connections in the U.S.: about 50 million lines
- Advertising on the Internet in the U.S.: $16 billion
- Book sales in the U.S.: $25 billion"

According to certain statistics, the size of the advertising market in Japan is about 7.8 trillion yen ($65 billion).

The total size of the media contents market in Japan is about 12.8 trillion yen ($100 billion).

A million audiences seem to be required in advertisement using mass-media for justification of its operation; and ten million audiences seem to become a cool norm with further deployment of the Internet and intelligent cellular phones.

But, nowadays, a specific approach to a specific customer base seems to be required. In other words, ideally, ten million different or tailored commercials are desirable for appealing to ten million consumers.

However, candidates for election seem to be still performing their appealing simply by handshaking and eye-watching to as many voters as possible.

4. Ms. Paris Hilton in "Larry King Live"
"About 3.2 million people tuned in to "Larry King Live" Wednesday to watch King query Hilton on her three-week jail term for violating probation on a pled-down DUI charge and how it's changed her. That's about three times King's usual audience, and allowed CNN to score a rare victory over Fox News for the night." (http://www.zap2it.com/tv/news/zap-parishiltonlarrykingratings,0,6325420.story)

Consumers want a genuine heroine or hero doing something at the risk of her or his life that represents the Age, society, or civilization.

Media, advertisers, and politicians are all making a mistake. Their contents, goods, or personalities all look poorer and more miserable than Ms. Paris Hilton in terms of ability of reminding audiences, even remotely, of what they want, namely a genuine heroine or hero (if unethical to a certain degree in her case).

Now, it is time for the U.S. to have a genuine heroine who can really have Marilyn Monroe fall into oblivion.

5. Die-Hard
In Japan, voters hate to have Mr. Koizumi fall into oblivion; even there is expectation, though unrealistic politically so far, that he will come back to office of Prime Minister if Mr. Abe fatally fail in the coming election.

In the U.S., will the family name "Clinton" fall into oblivion in 2008?

So far, nobody seems to think that Ms. Hilton's case and Japan's summer election will affect the fate of Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton in 2008 which may have a significant influence on people such as Mr. Al Gore and Mr. Michael Moore.

But, as I once studied, the death of Princess Diana in Paris led to the 9/11 terror attacks. You cannot neglect any symbolic incidents.

And, eventually, you may see how much this Age is getting closer to God's anger, which may make you a bit little more like a genuine Christian as your ancestors so claimed to be.

(I never thought Marilyn Monroe was a heroine. But, I could see that the late Mrs. JFK was a beauty. Harriet (Elizabeth) Beecher Stowe is of course the most respected American woman by Japanese for her work 'Uncle Tom's Cabin (1852).' Just for your encouragement.)

A Certain Beautiful Name on a Paper Bag

A Certain Beautiful Name on a Paper Bag

Last night, a Fuji TV news program introduced certain poor women in the Philippines.

They once lived on collecting some useful things from a huge heap of garbage called Smoky Mountain in Manila.

Along with development of the city Manila, more and more apartment houses have been built in the Smoky Mountain area.

Those poor women got into trouble. They could not even pick up useful things from a huge heap of garbage and make money by selling them.

But, behold, an Angel has come down from Heaven and given them wisdom.

The poor ladies in Manila who once lived on collecting some useful things from a huge heap of garbage have now become handicrafts women. They pick up old newspapers, slit them, and weave them in a shape of a bag and so on. They now live on selling their own works.

I do not know if their products made of old newspaper have been awarded any patents, copyrights, or trademarks, but their products look more valuable and better than brand-name goods.

So, in case, make a bag out of old newspaper with a nice design and style. Take a patent, a design right, or a trademark right. Sell them on the street, for example, before Tiffany's. You can make a fortune.

Yet, do not forget to include those poor ladies in Manila as co-creditors or joint-owners of your right.

Indeed, any bags with a certain beautiful name, such as "Paris Hilton," on it may sell well, even if they are made of old newspaper. Ms. Paris Hilton should consider joining their business.

Or, do you have any other names more suitable and profitable, such as "Mother Teresa," since there are one billion of her fans in the world?

Rather, how much do you think paper bags with your name on sell? One million per year? Find a sales manager.

(I really hate to claim my right on any of my works, since I have to be poor as I am a follower of Jesus Christ. All I can do is dreaming of a cell of my body getting a face value of one dollar each eventually.)

Drivers, Makers, Cars, and Ideas

A Little Information of Today:
Sales of Toyota's cars in the US market in the first half of 2007 are 1,331,074 units (record-high for Toyota), while GM has sold 1,880,718 cars. Following the two is Ford with the sales of 1,285,442.

The total market share of the American Big Three is now 50.2%.

Toyota should now start to think about building car factories in Afghanistan and Iraq.

A Little Thought of Today:
"Prius was first embraced by Hollywood stars and other celebrities and remains in vogue long after most cars have lost their buzz. Owners have included Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Billy Joel, Bill Maher and Larry David."

I wonder if Ms. Paris Hilton's case offers another chance for Japanese car makers to develop and promote a new type of safety cars, such as, "No Drinking & Driving Car."

Various car technologies are reportedly under development to prevent drunken driving. For example, Volvo is designing a system that only allows for start of an engine when a driver breathes into an alcohol detection device installed in a seat belt to prove his soberness.

If an automaker succeeds in introducing such a system into their cars and Ms. Paris Hilton, if drastically repentant, takes part in advertisement of such a model of cars, indeed we may find an answer as to why Ms. Paris Hilton has to be so much focused on with expectation of her drastic repentance. We may even say that it is for glory of God to be revealed!

With advent of such technologies to prevent drunken driving, thousands of lives will be saved every year all over the world.

Anyway, the success of Toyota's Prius may tell something important to those, including people of poor countries and Muslims, who wish to succeed in the U.S.

A Little Ideas of Today:
One of my ideas about a new car system is an ejection seat. A moment before a car is crashed, the seats inside a car with parachutes should be vertically launched high through a blown-off roof, though except in a low tunnel. Rocket seats may become a must in future.

Another idea is to install, along a road, remote detection equipment which can measure a state of soberness or intoxication of a driver by monitoring his or her physical conditions, such as movement of an eyeball, through a window or based on behavior of a car, and sends the information to patrol cars. For example, a high-resolution tracking video camera linked with a computer system running a real-time analysis program
may be used. Especially, British police may like to adapt it for their specific needs.

(Independence Day reminds me of the lunar landing by the crew of the Apollo 11 rocket and also battles in Vietnam, both together having been reported in those days. Where were you then? On the moon or in a jungle? Where were you?)

"Too Convenient Sickos"

"Too Convenient Sickos"

Japan's Defense Minister resigned today, taking responsibility for his inappropriate remarks, on the US atomic (nuclear) bomb attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during WWII, which were too friendly to the U.S. or too convenient for making oneself look like a reluctant friend of the U.S.

Ms. Yuriko Koike, former minister for the environment and special advisor to the prime minister for national security, has taken over the position.
(She was once a TV reporter, which may be a convenient career nowadays, though she might have rather liked to pursue her original career until the end for her personal happiness, just in my personal view.)
* * *

Now, let's see the world ranking of manufacturers on sales of military equipment:

(Please use the small letter size of Internet Explorer for Viewing the table below.)
[No.]...[Name]............[Sales in 2002 / 2003].....[Country]

[Source: Sekai-Kokusei-Zue 2005/06;
http://www5.mediagalaxy.co.jp/yanotsuneta-kinenkai/index.html]

Since the U.S. had launched the military invasion of Iraq in March 2003, every major arms manufacturer, except Japan's Mitsubishi (No. 16), increased its sales from the level of the previous year.

(Japanese companies are forbidden to export weapons and arms by law.)

Notably, Halliburton's sales increased from 480 million dollars in 2002 to 3.92 billion dollars in 2003.

It should be also noted that Japan's Mitsubishi is the only major arms manufacturer that has less than 10% of a ratio between its arms sales and its total sales; the ratio of Mitsubishi is actually 2%, but that of Lockheed/Martin is 78%.

It is apparent that millions of workers in these companies and related industries globally have enjoyed nice salaries, handsome rewards, and lucrative compensation, even though they may be contributing much to the victory in the Global War on Terror.

However, more citizens, taxpayers, and consumers are being left behind.

It should be also noted that US companies accounted for 63.3% of arms sales in the world in 2004; European companies accounted for 29.4%; and Russian companies 1.2%, though in terms of export accounts of arms, Russia is No.1, and in terms of import accounts of arms, China is No. 1.
* * *

Withdrawal of US troops from Iraq will restore a sound state of global economy; but can millions of beneficiaries worldwide support the idea of the peace, sacrificing their higher level of a living standard?

Or, does Mrs. Hilary Rodham Clinton have any ideas and means to persuade millions of beneficiaries in the defense industry to accept withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan and Iraq?

I do not think that Mr. Michael Moore, who recently made a debut in "Larry King Live," just for your information, or Mr. Al Gore, now notable as a film maker on environment, can make a film on the US defense industry, for example, with a title such as "Inconvenient Sickos."

I do not think that any American can do it; but people in poor countries and Muslims may be thinking that there may be some Japanese who can do it.

If I were to, though, I would not ask Mr. Gore or Mr. Moore to play a hero in the movie.

(I have, of course, some idea at least about a hero or a heroine as well as the title. In that case, Enron and WorldCom may look like an opening act. Indeed, a life of a soldier is more valuable than those of Wall Streeters. Yes, bring the industry into daylight! Soldiers have a right to know the truth. American soldiers deserve the truth.)

A Story on Mother Teresa

A Story on Mother Teresa

She was born in the Kosovo Province of the Ottoman Empire (now the city of Skopje, Republic of Macedonia) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother_Teresa). After WWII, she got a calling from God and decided to work for poor Indians.

In 1979, she received the Nobel Prize, though she did not attend the ceremony. Various people, such as Princess Diana, visited her, and she traveled all over the world to meet various people, such as the President of the U.S.

She also visited Japan three times, that is, in 1981, 1982, and 1984, and made a speech for lawmakers of the Diet on one occasion. She died in 1997, a week after the death of Princess Diana of England that once colonized India.

Though Alexander the Great could not get across the Indus, a Christian nun from his homeland 2,200 years later reached the Ganges to establish a legacy; Truly Jesus Christ is great; Jesus Christ is the only Messiah for us.

This June, the Japanese Government promised to offer up to US$30 billion to India which needs US$90 billion for developing and building its industrial infrastructures by 2019.

Though Mother Teresa received 6,000 dollars from the Nobel Foundation, Japan is offering 5 million times her award to the whole Indians, including so many poor people; Truly God is great, and the God is only god for us.

Divine Comedy 2007 (II)

From Tokyo to New York: 11,300km (7,060 miles)
Unit Costs of 747-400: $230 million (B52-H bomber: $53.4 million)

Divine Comedy 2007 (II)

1. Design of Jet Planes
I do not like the current design of commercial passenger jet planes. Its outlook, namely, a flying tube with wings does not look suitable for a long journey over the globe. There must be other designs (http://inri.client.jp/hexagon/floorB1F_hss/b1fha777.html).

It should be larger and wider, like a flying baseball park. I meant it must be like a big flying source with a tennis court or a few ping-pong tables, a walking deck, a kids' room, a convenience store, a library with free computers and phones, a medical room, a drinking space, a smoking area, and an air-sheriff's room. It should be like a ray, a flat fish like a baseball diamond.

2. Honda's Micro-Jet
It is said that when an engineer of Honda was depressed taking holidays in Bermuda, an American gentleman encouraged him to pursue his work in designing a unique jet plane, which vitalized the spirit of the Japanese engineer so as to complete his micro-jet plane project. The American gentleman is said to have ordered the Honda's jet later.

This jet has two engines, each mounted on a wing but not under a wing (https://hondajet.honda.com/default.aspx?bhcp=1).

3. Mr. Kiichi Miyazawa
Former Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Kiichi Miyazawa died on June 28, 2007 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiichi_Miyazawa).

His first experience abroad was his joining the Japan-America Student Conference in 1939 when he got on board a ship to get across the Pacific Ocean (http://www.jasc-japan.com/about/comment.html).

He was well known for his fluent English. But, he reportedly once said that he had found English he had learnt in Tokyo Imperial University was useless in the Japan-America Student Conference in 1939. His experiences as a bureaucrat working with Americans in Tokyo after World War II seem to have enhanced his ability in English. I suppose when he later visited and stayed at the Rockefellers' residence in New York, he had no problems in communications.

Former Prime Minister Mr. Yasuhiro Nakasone (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yasuhiro_Nakasone), an ex-officer of the Imperial Japan's Navy, talked about the late Mr. Miyazawa last night in an NHK TV program. Though Mr. Miyazawa had a hard time to cope with influences of the Plaza Accord (1985) as the Financial Minister and became the Prime Minister several years after Mr. Nakasone who had a strong tie with the late President Ronald Reagan, Mr. Nakasone's rating on Mr. Miyazawa was very high, describing him as one of the most intellectual persons after WWII in Japan.

Both the politicians, born during the reign of Emperor Yoshihito (Taisho), grandfather of the current Emperor, can be regarded as the key figures who, consciously or unconsciously, made Japan ready for the Japan-US Money War in 1990's, in my very personal view. ("Old soldiers never die, they only fade away" - General MacArthur.)

4. Terror in England
EEE Reporter is against any terror on the earth. Stop it. Design useful industrial products or become a useful politician, if you are to sacrifice your life for your people in order to defeat the United Kingdom in fair and peaceful competition like Japan has done.

5. Hong Kong
On a roof top of an old, tall apartment house in Hong Kong, a mother and her lower-grade son who came from the mainland China are living in a very small and humble hut with a poor zinc-roof, while a five-million dollar flat is well being sold in the port city. Indeed, the age of revolution may be close in China, again.

Even in the U.S., when a private jet owner, while having no money to privately own a 747 or a B52, says to poor people, "Do you envy me?" stupidly or arrogantly, indeed a revolution may be close in the U.S.

A Story on Myself

A Jet Stream Song for a Lonely Soldier?

"I Wish I Could Go Back Home"

A Story on Myself

In three miles distance from a shop, I saw a car with a license plate number of "8888," and then other cars with the numbers "7777," "4444," and "3333," respectively; however I also later encountered other cars with the plate numbers "3333" and "7777" respectively, though with a different additional ID component each.

Indeed, Saturday and Sunday drivers are many in a city area in Japan.

I bought a pair of new shows at about 4,000 yen (33 dollars). In the shop, there were of course other shoes priced at 20,000 yen or 3,000 yen. Indeed, it was a discount shop where a new model of NEC computer with a 20-inch display was on sale at about 220,000 yen (1,790 dollars).

A rich man would buy 400,000 yen (3,300 dollars) shoes; some ordinary men would rather buy 40,000 yen (330 dollars) shoes; but I honestly bought 4,000 yen shoes as usual.

(You will not envy a man who wears a pair of shoes costing 33,000 dollars, since there must be a criminal relationship or an abnormal psychology in his motivation to spend that much for his shoes, since the issue is just shoes.)

In Japan traditionally they say, "See his shoes if you want to judge how much money he has."

However, do you think that Jesus Christ, if in Japan He was, would buy shoes costing more than 33 dollars at most? He may even say to rich or ordinary people to go to a pile of garbage to find shoes for them to wear, if they really want to follow Him, after selling out all their belongings eranings of which should be given to the poor. You had better buy 33 dollar shoes in case.

In your church or Vatican, if you find anybody wearing shoes costing more than 33 dollars while he or she is teaching something on Jesus Christ; you have to think that somebody that should not be in the position is really taking it against the teaching of Jesus Christ who would, if in Japan He was, surely would wear shoes costing only 33 dollars or less.

It is your foot or feet that have value. Even a pair of shoes costing 3,300 dollars cannot increase the value of your feet.

I suppose that if a disciple of Jesus had a foot worth 480,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 dollars (as one dollar per cell in his foot, though even not as one dollar per atom in his foot), a shoe costing 330 dollars, 3,300 dollars, or 33,000 dollars never match it. Arrogance shining on a shoe costing 33,000 dollars, 3,300 dollars, or 330 dollars must make you fall from his grace. Indeed, you had better buy 33 dollar shoes in case.

And, that is why I sometimes like to ask a person wearing a costly pair of shoes how much value the God has given to his feet (your body is more valuable than your clothes).

I really wish I could indicate it to him. Or, I hope that the God would prove him how much value He has given to his feet, or a cell or an atom of his feet.

With or without this notion, I honestly bought a pair of new shows at about 4,000 yen (33 dollars). In the shop, there were of course other shoes priced at about 20,000 yen or 3,000 yen. Indeed, it was a discount shop where a new model of NEC computer with a 20-inch display was on sale at about 220,000 yen (1,790 dollars).

And, in three miles distance from the shop, I saw a car with a license plate number of "8888," and then other cars with the numbers "7777," "4444," and "3333," respectively; however I also later encountered other cars with the plate number "3333" and "7777" respectively, though with a different additional ID component each.

Indeed, Saturday and Sunday drivers are many in a city area in Japan.
* * *

This is a story on myself, who is not enough qualified to serve Jesus Christ for untying His sandals or cleaning His boots, related to "3333." For other numbers, I may later present related stories.

(For your reference, I have of course been on board a Boeing 777, though mostly in domestic air trips from/to Haneda Airport, against your guessing.

Finally, take "33" sometimes but not "3333" in case.)

A Story of "Jesus Christ" (draft)

Narita Airport, One Hour by Train from Tokyo Sta.
35 Million Passengers per Year through its Runways

A Story of "Jesus Christ" (draft)

Truly God is great, and the God is only god for us!

Jesus Christ was born a generation after the defeat and death of Cleopatra, the queen of Egypt who fought over hegemony of the Mediterranean against the Roman Empire which was getting so immoral as with the royal families of Egypt and Israel.

Jesus Christ resigned his profession, a carpenter, and went out to a wild land so as to find his destiny. In 40 days of his quest of his identity, demons and devils tried hard to tempt him in vain.

Then, Jesus Christ cleansed himself in River Jordan and started to save people in his home region around the Galilee Lake and the upriver district of River Jordan.

He, as a homeless preacher, walked around from a village to a village to save many people suffering in poverty and injustice and also being misguided by sinful religious leaders

Depending on significance of circumstances, he performed a miracle as expression of his love to the poor, the diseased, the helpless, and various victims of society.

When he walked down along River Jordan to Jerusalem with many of his followers and tried to teach in the temple and save more people, the Roman Governor and religious leaders of Israelites were alerted.

They had abused Judas, one of Jesus' followers, and forced him to work as a spy for them. Jesus Christ knowing the betrayal of Judas would not avoid an arrest by Roman troops, so that the life of Judas was spared.

As identified as a self-appointed king of Israelites, Jesus Christ was sentenced to death for his insurgency against the Roman Empire and the authority of Israelites.

Jesus Chris was crucified to death; but on the third day, some women who were following him found that his tomb was empty and only a shroud was left mysteriously. They even reported, with awe, that they met angels around the tomb.

His followers later met Jesus Christ who revived and resurrected. The followers confirmed their belief in him that he is the Messiah, the son of God, and their Lord God.

While the Roman Empire became more and more immoral, his teaching was accepted by more and more people living a poor or ordinary life in the Empire, partly due to great work of his followers such as St. Paul.

The teaching of Jesus Christ led to the establishment of a new religion called Christianity, though Jesus Christ was born and lived as an Israelite who wished to reform Judaism. Christianity became a driving factor of development of the European Civilization after the collapse of the Roman Empire.

Even today, Europeans, European Americans, and those indoctrinated by them with Christianity believe in Jesus Christ, as their God, at least nominally.
* * *

None has ever presented a reasonable answer to a question as to why Jesus Christ was born a generation after the defeat and death of Cleopatra, the queen of Egypt who fought over hegemony of the Mediterranean against the Roman Empire which was getting so immoral as with the royal families of Egypt and Israel.

None has even ever presented significance of the question as to why Jesus Christ was born a generation after the defeat and death of Cleopatra, the queen of Egypt who fought over hegemony of the Mediterranean against the Roman Empire which was getting so immoral as with the royal families of Egypt and Israel.

Nowadays, people seem to live like in the era of Caesar and Cleopatra. People are trying hard to be rich, get promotion, and become violently strong. When people in Europe and America come to look like more ancient Romans and Egyptians than early followers of Jesus Christ, it must be the time that Jesus Christ should return.

Conversely, if you find that the era of Caesar and Cleopatra was just like present day, you would reasonably understand why Jesus Christ was born in that era. So then, you would expect that the Son of God will return in present Age as this Age looks like the era of Caesar and Cleopatra.
* * *

If you really like to discuss the meaning of emergence of the Son of God at the specific age, namely 2000 years ago, more than anybody, I may call you "Pope."

(Jesus Christ had no money in his pocket during his mission. Indeed, the opposite word of "Jesus Christ" is "money." And a synonym of "Jesus Christ" is "love." Truly, you cannot buy favor of God. You cannot buy my favor, either. Then, what about your favor?)

A Story of Gotama Siddhattha

A Story of Gotama Siddhattha

Gotama Siddhattha, born in a royal family around the fifth century BCE, started to practice asceticism and mortification when he was 29 years old.

When be became 35 years old or so, he abandoned this way for attaining enlightenment so as to be awakened in the higher sphere of the spiritual universe.

Then Gotama Siddhattha, almost reduced to skin and bones, took rice milk a young girl of a village brought to him. He sat down under a lime tree and got into meditation.

While Gotama Siddhattha was being brought toward spiritual enlightenment, demons and devils launched final attacks on him.

However, on the third day of his meditation, he stretched out the index finger and the middle finger and touched the ground. At the moment, all the demons and devils fled away. Also at the moment, Gotama Siddhattha became Buddha as he reached the highest level of human perception on the universe, the nature, human society, human beings, and death and life.

Yet, Buddha thought that this level of the perception is so high and great that people would not be able to understand if so taught by him.

So, he decided to leave the world and enter the sphere of those who have achieved enlightenment.

But, Brahma, one of the greatest gods, and other gods sensed the mind of Buddha and feared that people would lose a great chance of salvation. So, they persuaded Buddha to teach contents and philosophy of his enlightenment.

As those gods so earnestly recommended him to preach, Buddha changed his mind and began his holy mission.

(Also refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism, if the God or Allah recommends you to.)
* * *

God is almighty, so that He has allowed for salvation of human souls without following a specific series of religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. For this purpose, the God or Allah chose Buddhism.

In this way, salvation of mankind by religion has become complete and perfect in its logical structure: a specific series of religions and an independent one.
* * *

Europeans north of the Alps encountered Christianity without any other significant spiritual training and traditions.

But, South and East Asians encountered Christianity after having experienced significant spiritual training and traditions through Buddhism.

In this context, South and East Asians can understand Christianity more deeply than Europeans, very ironically.

Anyway, you had better believe in Jesus Christ more than you yourself believe in yourself.

"Sincere Apologies and Remorse to All"

Tokyo Expressway

"Sincere Apologies and Remorse to All"

In Japan, the media have been reporting on a resolution passed in the US House committee on foreign affairs, which blames Japan for denying the offering of more sincere governmental apology for foreign women victimized by the Imperial Japan's military during World War II.

According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comfort_women):
U.S. Congressional debate
In 2007, Mike Honda of the United States House of Representatives proposed House Resolution 121 which stated that Japan should formally acknowledge, apologize, and accept historical responsibility in a clear and unequivocal manner, refute any claims that the issue of comfort women never occurred, and educate current and future generations "about this horrible crime while following the recommendations of the international community with respect to the `comfort women'."

Abe controversy
On 2 March 2007, the issue was raised again by Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe, in which he denied that the military had forced women into sexual slavery during World War II in an orchestrated way. He stated, "The fact is, there is no evidence to prove there was coercion." Before he spoke, a group of Liberal Democratic Party lawmakers also sought to revise Yohei Kono's 1993 apology to former comfort women. Abe's statement provoked a negative reaction from Asian and Western countries. The New York Times editorial said, "These were not commercial brothels. Force, explicit and implicit, was used in recruiting these women."

Apart from correctness of interpretation of Prime Minister Mr. Abe's comments and the details of the alleged crimes, as having been officially and formally conduted by the Imperial Japan's military, there are some points to take heed of:

1. There is a fear that this sort of handling of war crimes in WWII might lead to an issue of responsibility of Emperor Showa, father of the current Emperor.

2. The communist party, the socialist party, and other left wing political groups in Japan have been playing a major role domestically in blaming the Japanese Government and conservative politicians for their attitudes on this issue. These parties have had a strong tie with China, North Korea, anti-Japan gropus in South Korea, and the former Soviet Union. Especially, some left wing groups are claiming that Emperor Showa should have taken responsibility for any crimes committed by the Empire of Japan in WWII.

3. After the World War II, political and military leaders of the Empire of Japan were judged in an international court.

The International Military Tribunal for the Far East (IMTFE), also known as the Tokyo Trials, the Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal or simply as the Tribunal, was convened to try the leaders of the Empire of Japan for three types of crimes: "Class A" (crimes against peace), "Class B" (war crimes), and "Class C" (crimes against humanity), committed during World War II.( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Military_Tribunal_for_the_Far_East)

What's more, the war ended in 1945 and the tribunal was completed in 1948; it was an era when six million Israelites were killed by Hitler, twenty million Russians were executed by Stalin, two atomic bombs were used, and twenty million Chinese were killed in its civil war and failure in agricultural policies of the Chinese Communist Party.
Besides when Korea was under control of the Empire of Japan, there was no large-scale armed rebellion against Japan's occupation unlike the cases in South Vietnam, present Afghanistan, and present Iraq. The Korean Peninsula and part of the mainland China were greatly modernized by investment from the Empire of Japan, unlike any Asian countries colonized by the West. If Japan had been fatally wrong, history would have judged Japan more severely like the former Soviet Union and the Saddam Hussein's Iraq.
Though nothing can set off the Imperial Japan's war crimes, judging the Empire of Japan without this kind of notions is tantamount of trying to paint Tokyo without seeing it.

4. The former Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Tomiichi Murayama, though a socialist he is, has been engaged in the official activity called "Asian Women's Fund" to compensate those foreign women victimized during WWII. (http://www.awf.or.jp/english/index.html)

Japanese Government also issued an official statement on this issue with apology (http://www.mofa.go.jp/policy/women/fund/state9308.html):

Statement by the Chief Cabinet Secretary Yohei Kono on the result of the study on the issue of "comfort women"
August 4, 1993
The Government of Japan has been conducting a study on the issue of wartime "comfort women" since December 1991. I wish to announce the findings as a result of that study.
...
The Government of Japan would like to take this opportunity once again to extend its sincere apologies and remorse to all those, irrespective of place of origin, who suffered immeasurable pain and incurable physical and psychological wounds as comfort women.
...
As actions have been brought to court in Japan and interests have been shown in this issue outside Japan, the Government of Japan shall continue to pay full attention to this matter, including private researched related thereto.

5. Many Japanese think that it should be handled between the Chinese Government or the Koran Government and the Japanese Government. It cannot be an issue between the Japanese Government and the United States of America.
* * *

According to a recent survey conducted in the United States by Gallup for the Foreign Ministry of Japan, 48% of American respondents answered that Japan is the most important partner in Asia, while 34% answered that China is the most important partner in Asia. Those who admitted importance of Japan-US Security Treaty for US security accounted for 89%.

This is one example that Japan has acquired trust from the world through its consistent contribution to the peace of the world after WWII.

According to a recent news report, Japan has offered yen loans worth 150 million dollars to Panama for cleaning up Golfo de Panama. The gulf has been contaminated by domestic waste water from one million people, so that no one can swim there and no fish taken there are fit to eat. However, by leveraging funds from Japan, the Panama Government plans to clean up the gulf so that people can swim there by 2020.

This is one example that Japan has acquired trust from the world through its consistent contribution to the prosperity of the world after WWII.
* * *

According to Jesus Christ, the relationship between a man and a wife is only blessed. Any other associations are to be condemned.

In this context, no past soldiers of the Imperial Japan's military might not feel any pressure if they are blamed by the United States.

I suppose Muslims and people of poor countries in the world will share the same view.

Tokyo on Methane Gas; Manhattan on Hard Rocks

"Sunshine 60," 240m (790 feet) high, completed in 1978 (WTC towers in 1973)

Still Providing the Highest View for Public in Tokyo

Tokyo on Methane Gas; Manhattan on Hard Rocks

Mr. Benjamin Fulford becomes a Japanese national this April, though he still looks like a Canadian (http://www.benjaminfulford.com/indexEnglish.html).

One of his books on Japan published in 2004 is titled "The Iron Kleptocracy: The Sun Never Rises Again." Its list of contents tells everything about his view on Japan (notably he denies "uniqueness of Japan" passionately):
"Introduction
1. The Iron Kleptocracy
2. Bureaucrats As Thieves
3. Robbery System
4. Japanese Media Isn't On Your Side
5. New Asian Order Without Japan
6. The Last Resort
7. The Sun Never Rises Again"

Nonetheless, he became a Japanese citizen officially in 2007, which does not tell however he is mad. Now, you know how deep his love to Japan is.

If he goes to China and tries to write a bit little of any crimes of Chinese rich men, bureaucrats, or leaders of the Chinese Communist Party, he would face fatal danger. Japan may be bad; but the USSR was the worst and contemporary China is still far worse. And no one in Asia and Africa respects the British Empire, a parent country of Canada.

My advice however to Mr. Fulford is to learn the Japanese history. Japan has never been occupied by China, Japan has never been governed by Chinese, and Japanese economy has never been dominated by Chinese economy for these 2000 years or 10,000 years. Put simply, the Western Europe is still a colony of the Roman Empire in terms of culture and religion, but Japan is still holy and mysterious islands in the east ocean for Chinese, whether consciously or unconsciously conceived so.

Read Confucius and the history of the First Emperor of China, and then study Japanese Buddhism as well as Japanese literature and arts in these 1500 years.

Even in the modern age, without Japan, China and India must be still colonies of the West. No modern industries must be found in Asia. And, every Asian must be indoctrinated with an ideology that God created Asians as servants for Europeans.

Appreciating uniqueness in anything in a positive manner is a key to proving your ability and virtue. Japan's uniqueness is not yet fully appreciated by foreigners, including Mr. Fulford.
* * *

Nonetheless, it is welcome news that Mr. Fulford takes Japanese nationality and writes blog to present his reports in Japanese.

On June 24, 2007, he wrote that the Bank of Japan is still toyed with by the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds. "The real amount of Japan's overseas assets is not five trillion dollars, though so announced publicly. It is more than 25 trillion dollars (600 trillion yen). Japan has been forced to continue to pay damages and compensations due to its defeat in World War II."

Mr. Fulford also presented his shocking view on death of former Prime Ministers of Japan: Kakuei Tanaka, Keizo Obuchi, and Noboru Takeshita. He claimed that these politicians as well as other top businessmen who were not nice friends of Anglo-American financial or political tycoons' were all secretly killed or specifically poisoned by their agents.

He also added that a tide has now changed; those secret agents, large in the number, are going to be killed (though he did not specify by whom); and thus Japanese politicians can with ease and safety work for their country and the world.

I really hope that he continues to be Japanese in ease and safety.
* * *

As a proof that Mr. Fulford is not a nonsense journalist, he also mentioned in his book Japanese advanced technology on environment and new energy.

Indeed, as Japan is expected to have more rains due to global warming, we can increase our capacity of hydroelectricity. As power generated in midnight is redundant for people's lives, it can be used to apply electrolysis to water so as to produce hydrogen, which will pave the way for establishment of a world-leading hydrogen energy provision system in Japan.
* * *

A hot-spring resort or a spa in Tokyo recently suffered an explosion accident killing three people, which gave a big jolt to Tokyo citizens.

Probably to astonishment of foreigners, including Mr. Fulford, there is a big gas field and a hot spring layer under the surface of Tokyo (the volcano Mt. Fuji is just 60 miles from the center of Tokyo). Unlike New York built on hard rocks, the ground of Tokyo was originally created on sedimentary layers and volcanic ash. Thousands years ago, Tokyo was even under the sea. Its sediments today generate methane gas. If hot-spring bowling reaches 4,500 feet deep, the gas could get mixed with in hot water and seep out in a spa facility.

Inadequate management of the spa caused the explosion and casualties.

What we really envy New York for is its rock stratum (though we cannot enjoy natural hot-spring in New York). Contrarily, it needs special care and advanced technology to build a skyscraper in Tokyo suffering also earthquakes.
* * *

What I meant is that you have to take into account this kind of fundamental uniqueness of Japan when discussing anything serious about Japan.

Look at the world. Are there any other "significant players" in the international arena that has not been brainwashed by Christianity or Marxism in the modern era except Japan? Japan is more unique among nations than Mr. Fulford is among Canadians.

(The U.S. is unique as a nation. As its uniqueness is not fully exploited, the U.S. cannot make the world rich. In this context, how do you think of uniqueness of New Yorkers?)

Though the Poorest Man I Am Not

In The Sunshine City Bldg.

Out of Ikebukuro Station

Though the Poorest Man I Am Not

Unless you have become the poorest man in the world, you cannot claim that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. (A Jesus' follower with any money may be a laughing thing in Heaven, while there are some that have no money at all on the earth.)

If you follow the teaching of Jesus Christ, you cannot let other person be the poorest in the world.

If you have love to God and neighbors, you will not let any other person be the poorest in the world.

If you neglect the poorest man in the world, an Angel would ask you where your love is? If you are a Christian, you would become the poorest man in the world, so that no other persons will be the poorest man in the world.

"Do not let other be the poorest man in the world. Take his part." This is the essence of teachings of Jesus Christ.

I do not blame anybody, but people of today have to say, "The teaching of Jesus Christ is to save the poorest man by my taking his part, which I cannot do, because I am mean and coward."

They have to say, "I am so mean and coward, but I know that the teaching of Jesus Christ is to save the poorest man by my taking his part."

And they have to say, "God, forgive me my sin!"

Otherwise, they may laugh, seeing the poorest man, while they are in this world for 100 years or so at the longest; but the poorest man will laugh with Jesus Christ in Heaven for ever.

I know I am not the poorest man in the world. So, I do not blame them.

Indeed, who would blame them if they are not the poorest man in the world? But, this is a matter between man and God.

So, though the poorest man I am not, I am telling you the truth. Trying to be richer is a grave sin if you are not the poorest man.

Divine Comedy in 2007

Tokyo Titanic??
Sunshine City Building!!
Divine Comedy in 2007

1. AlQaeda
According to The Mainichi Shimbun newspaper, there are 4,500 web sites on the Internet that are advertising AlQaeda-related thoughts and activities.

Also, according to an Egyptian authority concerned, AlQaeda is not an organization but an ideology; therefore it cannot be destroyed through exercise of military force on it. The ideology is based on antagonism against arrogance of Europeans and Americans; therefore it cannot be stopped through exercise of military force on it.

Generally speaking, the U.S. is at war against Muslims who have mistakenly, in the context of history, regarded the U.S. as their enemies; terrorists who have personally, in their daily lives and business, carried a grudge against Americans; and death merchants who have, irrespective of what is mistaken or personal, pursued their wealth in wars and conflicts in the world.

2. Suicide-Bomb Attacks
According to The Mainichi Shimbun newspaper, the origin of suicide bomb attacks by radical Muslims is in the Iran-Iraq war.

"Although the Iran-Iraq war from 1980–1988 was a war for dominance of the Persian Gulf region, the roots of the war go back many centuries. There has been rivalry between kingdoms of Mesopotamia (the Tigris-Euphrates valley, modern Iraq) and the rugged highlands to the East (modern Persia or Iran) since the beginning of recorded history in Sumer" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran-Iraq_war).

The importance of your concern on the Sumerian Civilization is also confirmed here.

In a painful situation of the war against Iraq equipped with weapons and information provided by the USSR and the U.S., Iran dared mobilize children, mostly recruited from villages and indoctrinated with martyrdom, for breaking through mine fields. They first had children run through a mine field, and then on a safe path confirmed, regular soldiers and tanks followed so as to attack Iraqi troops. Those Iranian children without fear over acres of dead bodies of other boys rushed to Iraqi trenches and bases, which imprinted unforgettable fear on the minds of Iraqi soldiers.

US troops may cope with street battles in Iraq, but they would face something more horrible on streets in Iran, if the U.S. starts war against Iran, no matter if based on mistakes, personal grudges, or interests of death merchants. Nonetheless, it is absurd for Iran to invest so many resources to nuclear missile projects, since the age of crude oil is going to end around 2060 as marvellously having been predicted by Newton. You had better invest in other power generation technology.

(All I can do is maybe writing another "Divine Comedy" to receive a favor from the God who may mercifully postpone the end of the peace in the world just like He did in 1326 when Dante praised God so much, though a few years before, in writing The Divine Comedy [refer to the EEE Report of yesterday].)

3. Young Day-Employees in Japan
NHK, in "Close-Up Gendai [Present Day]" hosted by Ms. Hiroko Kuniya, recently reported on young day-employees in Japan.

In one case, a construction company paid 13,000 yen (108 dollars) for procuring a work force for one day through a recruit company.

However, a young man only got 5,700 yen (48 dollars); the rest was taken off the original pay by a recruit company as a fee, a charge, and referral premium.

Without war and social split between majority and minority, you have to face such old-fashioned evil in society. A large company exploits a small company which exploits a young man.

It is not a matter of ideology but a matter of patriotism. A nation without love to young and poor workers lacks love to its people in general.

Especially, Japan is a single race country; if you go back 2000 years, every family should be related. The old concept of "one-family country of Japan" should be respectfully reviewed.

4. Real "Cool Japan"
Even researchers in Harvard and MIT are involved in promotion of "Cool Japan" (e.g., http://web.mit.edu/condry/www/cooljapan/CJ07/).

However, it is often said that nowadays immoral Western businessmen are rampage in Japan, exploiting innocent Japanese girls under disguise of romance, especially in the financial sector and the media sector.

So, I would rather present some information on Japanese girls for non-Western "Cool Japan" fans.

According to a certain recent research project by Oricon (http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/), the order of popularity among female TV announcers in Japan is as follows:
No.1: Aya Takashima (Fuji TV)
No.2: Christel Takigawa (freelance)
No.3: Minako Nakano (Fuji TV)

Ms. Christel Takigawa, born in Paris, also nowadays exclusively works for Fuji TV.

However, the ranking only by female respondents is as follows:
No.1: Christel Takigawa (freelance)
No.2: Aya Takashima (Fuji TV)
No.3: Minako Nakano (Fuji TV)

Additionally, the ranking only by male respondents is as follows:
No.1: Aya Takashima (Fuji TV)
No.2: Maya Kobayashi (TBS)
No.3: Minako Nakano (Fuji TV)

There is some background needed to know so as to have more insight here.

Fuji TV was a few years ago targeted by Livedoor, a doubtful IT-related investment company, in their M&A operation. It sparked up huge social debates, since the way Livedoor pursued the M&A (supported by Lehman Brothers Japan) was against a kind of traditional business moral in Japan.

On the other hand, Fuji TV seems to have been too much inclined to providing entertainment or low shows for audience and thus become vulnerable in public and fighting spirit. But, now they look like trying to improve their social recognition by leveraging popular female announcers, which may turn out to be also a shaky strategy.

As for research results, Japanese women may be more advanced in their acceptance of personality in the media industry than ordinary men. Japanese male consumers have a sense of ease when seeing ordinary and amiable Japanese girls on TV rather than ones with foreign and intellectual flavor or a Miss Universe.

However, if the "Cool Japan" boom invites so many predators from the West, we will have to really kill the boom, which non-Western "Cool Japan" fans and Muslims should seriously take into account.

(As for "Cool West," Princess Diana was killed in a car accident in Paris. Ms. Paris Hilton has become a scandalous focus in the West Coast. In the East Coast, the wife of JFK Jr. was killed in an airplane accident and Anna Nicole Smith died in a hotel.

All I wish is, in this context, emergence of good and pious girls who can really stop this deplorable chain of waste of lives, maybe, like Mrs. Reagan.)

CNN Reports on Newton's Prophecy

TV Station Bldg. (far) and Diet Bldg. (right)

CNN Reports on Newton's Prophecy

"In one manuscript from the early 1700s, Newton used the cryptic Book of Daniel to calculate the date for the apocalypse, reaching the conclusion that the world would end no earlier than 2060" (http://edition.cnn.com/2007/TECH/science/06/18/newton.papers.ap/index.html).

No matter who says in what year the world will end, you have to refer to God and Jesus Christ.

So far as now, I have not been told when the world would end by an Angel.

Nonetheless, as you know, Jesus Christ mentioned the sign of the end of the world:
"Mar 13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Mar 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

Mar 13:15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:

Mar 13:16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.

Mar 13:17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

Mar 13:18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.

Mar 13:19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

Mar 13:20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

Mar 13:21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:

Mar 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Mar 13:23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

Mar 13:24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

Mar 13:25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

Mar 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory."

Indeed, it is the end of devils. God is from the beginning stronger than devils who are not the Creators but a kind of elements needed to complete the completeness of God, since, as I once wrote, the completeness should include but also supersede incompleteness such as a devil, in order to be perfectly complete from a theological point of view.

It may come tomorrow; but I can of course accept the year 2060, if the God so wishes.
(If the world had ended in 1326, that is, five years after Dante wrote The Divine Comedy, who would have complained as so interpreted the King James Version of Mark could be?)
* * *

However, as CNN has reported, there must be some significant meaning in that the Newton's prophecy was made public in these days, namely, six years after the 9/11 terror in 2001, from Jerusalem.

Indeed, there are two problems I have been wondering why the God would not directly interfere in for so long.

They are the conflicts in Palestine and the tragedies in Mesopotamia.

The former symbolizes a 2000-year failure of mankind since the emergence of the Son of God.

The latter symbolizes a 4000-year failure of mankind since the calling to Abraham by the God.

The most blessed in human history should take responsibility, as with the richest nation today: Israelites, Vatican, and the United States seem to be the focus.

Maybe, it is the time for Israel, EU, and Americans to think it over.
* * *

Newton did not know that a human body consists of 60 trillion cells, which are all essentially identical in their origin and basic structure.

Newton did not know one cell consists of 80 trillion atoms, which are all essentially identical in their origin and basic structure.

(If you are a cell, a cell is an atom.)

However, Newton found that every movement of an object, mostly larger than an atom, follow the following equation:

F = M x A
(Force applied to an object is equal to its mass multiplied by acceleration.)

Using this formula, we can calculate and predict the movement of stars and cells as well as any machine; however, it is its philosophy that is truly revolutionary in the above formula. (In addition, your body has of course mass.)

This kind of order and laws cannot be generated from nothing or spontaneously in random trials in the university that came to exist without any hidden grand design.

Newton felt a God's intention in this law of motion.
(You may feel God's design in the cell-atom structure in your body.)

There must have been a significant reason for Newton's designation of the year 2060 in any context just like its disclosure in 2007.
(Seemingly, somebody has decisively deepened her or his faith this year.)
* * *

If you are not so sure on your ability to identify a false Christ, you had better just only wait for the coming of the Son of God.

His great power and glory will simply tell who He is.

Truly great is God, and the God is only god for us!

(Leonardo da Vinci is not pious at all. But, Newton is pious enough to sacrifice his family life for his holy quest. If you cannot sense this sacrifice, you are not intelligent or cultivated enough.

I respect Newton's sacrifice and yours if you have.)

Eternal Life or Longevity

Central Tokyo: from Nagata-Cho (left) to Roppongi (right)

Eternal Life or Longevity

Now Japan has the world oldest man and woman (http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/73700.html). The respectable old man is 111 years old and the respectable woman is 114 years old; both the persons live in the Kyusyu Island.

Nowadays Japanese couples have fewer children than before, and the society is rapidly aging; yet, the Government is still reluctant to admit or accept foreign workers and refugees in a large scale.

The one notable area in Japan for longevity is the Okinawa Island in the south of the southern main island Kyusyu.

There is also a theory in Japan that people living near the spring high in a mountain or hilly area live long due to high quality of water they take in.

Biologically, it is well known that active oxygen or free radicals damage or destroy cells in a human body, thus causing aging.

It is also said that when a telomere structure in a chromosome becomes smaller, cell division gets impossible, which makes impossible replacement of an old cell with a new cell, meaning aging for a human body.
* * *

According to "GENOME, The Autobiography of a Species in 23 Chapters" by Mr. Matt Ridley, the hero is DNAs and genes but not an individual human being.

If DNAs and genes are handed down to a next generation, the nature does not need an individual human body any more, which triggers and allows for aging of the body. This law applies to every creature.

Specifically, a human body has various biological functions to keep the body healthy and sound until it hands down DNAs and genes to a next generation, that is, his or her child.

But when it is done, such heavy duty functions are no more necessary; cells in a human body lose such protection functions; and then aging begins.
* * *

The world oldest man living in Japan said, in an interview, that the secret of his longevity is abstention from drink.

Indeed, alcohol cannot be a substitute for high quality water; drinking causes rough breathing and thus possibly generates much active oxygen or many free radicals in a human body; and alcohol may have a bad influence on a telomere structure in a chromosome, though yet to be proven.

However, an intake of an appropriate amount of wine as well as pork is also said to be effective for longevity; Japanese dish is also said to be basically suitable for longevity.

On the other hand, an extreme stress really accelerates aging; one day of extreme horror sometimes makes one's hair gray.
* * *

Most importantly, Jesus Christ never taught how to live long.

He taught how to enter Heaven where we are promised eternal lives; specifically, he told that unless you become like a child, you cannot enter Heaven.

Heaven is better than longevity.

(Japanese traditionally respect aged persons, simply because they are older. Indeed, Japan is basically or conceptually a single-race country.

Jesus Christ also said not to go to a way of foreigners, which may be a secret of longevity.

Indeed, good girls had better stay in their home.)

Small Apartment and Manga

Everybody seems to have a hungry heart between Ike-bukuro and Shin-jyuku (for drinking and entertainment)

A Little Information of Today:
The ratio between the area of flat lands per capita in Japan and that in the U.S.:
1:35 (one to thirty-five)

The ratio between the national land size of Japan and that of the U.S.:
1:25.5

The ratio between the cultivated acreage per capita of Japan and that of the U.S.:
1:12

The ratio between the urban area per capita in Japan and that in the U.S.:
1:9

The ratio between the roads area per capita in Japan and that in the U.S.:
1:5.5

The ratio between the population of Japan and that of the U.S.:
1:2.5

The ratio between GDP of Japan and GDP of the U.S.:
1:2.5

(Despite the huge difference in the land area as well as natural resources, the ratio of GDP between the two countries is remarkably proportional to the ratio of population. However, it is apparent that one American can enjoy ten times larger space than that allowed for one Japanese with the same income.

In other words, America can accept much more refugees from the world, probably 100 million or more, even taking other factors into consideration.)
* * *

A Little Thought of Today:
There are many arguments on why manga (Japanese cartoons) get popular in Asia, Europe, and America.

There are two types of manga: one for children and another for young men.

Osamu Tezuka, the deceased king of manga in Japan, once wrote manga on stories of The Bible and the life of Buddha.

Yes, there are decent manga works and also immoral works.

In America, Christians once strongly denounced violent and obscene cartoons having been rampant after WWII, which led to decline in cartoon culture among grown-ups in American society, according to a certain theory.

Average young Japanese workers or collage students in Tokyo and other cities in Japan live in a scandalously small apartment. A TV set, a PC, a cellular phone, and manga seem to be four basic components of their lives.

Some manga works show various personal and professional lives in society like a TV drama. They can be a healing means and text books for social education in Japan, in a positive sense.

Without any educational background on art, you can be an artist in this sector, if you can devise attractive characters and a story and draw attractive lines with just a pen, mono-color ink, and paper.

Mr. Taro Aso, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, is reportedly fond of manga. But, it seems to be very rare that a man middle-aged or older with property and in a public position read manga.

In addition, a decent manga title, such as "San-Choume-no-Yuhi" (sunset in the third district) is sometimes made into a film (http://www.always3.jp/05/).

(In case, I do yet think that if you have money to buy a manga magazine, you had better donate it to any non-nonsense charity, say, aid for refugees.)

World Heroes and American Heroes

Tokyo from North to Central South

World Heroes and American Heroes

The other day, an NHK TV satellite channel presented a series of live broadcast from New York.

It introduced various places, people, and cultural aspects of the center of the material world.

For example, it showed how the Central Park had been left in ruins during 1970's when the New York city plunged into the red and how the Park is now shining with full of the flavor of the nature.

It also showed how some New Yorkers are enjoying Japanese culture in their daily lives.

For example, certain elite businessmen are learning Japanese swordsmanship (kendo).

One interesting report is that some young men in New York love Japanese popular music (J-Pop).

(It is really interesting, since some decades ago a professional Japanese guitarist went to America to have his pride hurt as he found even high school students in America could play the guitar as good as he.)

A Japanese journalist wrote a few years ago that America is large; if you achieved something great in your profession or specialty in Japan, it would look so tiny and futile when you came to America to see so many rivals and their achievements.

A Japanese lawyer once wrote that he could not even sense presence of Japan when he worked in a shining building of a top US financial company in Manhattan in the late 1990's. The second largest economy looked like nothing in the center of the world economy.

The era when Japanese money purchased the Rockefeller Center Building (1989) has indeed become history now, as with the Japan-US Money War triggered by this sort of foray of Japan Money into the U.S. in this period after the Cold War.

Toyota, Honda, Sony, Canon, Panasonic, and Nintendo may be also soon gone.

Too good natured Japanese may just remain happy as an inventor of sushi, manga-animation, J-Pops, and kendo...

Wait! Wait! Isn't something wrong?

Isn't NHK wrong in defining presence of Japan in those minor cultural aspects? Aren't those overwhelmed Japanese wrong in being indoctrinated with an idea that the sun never rises?

Isn't it Japan that has fostered Chinese economy and industries that are expected by Americans to catch up with the U.S. in a few decades?

Isn't it Japan that has raised so much pride in Asians, including Hindus and Muslims?

From a view point of the Western history, power shifted from the Roman Empire to the Spanish Empire and then to the British Empire and finally the United States.

America has a vast land and natural resources, incommensurable with, for example, Japan, in addition to a basic social system based on democracy and freedom in religion and other social/individual activities.

However, it does not necessarily mean all the Americans are great. Rather, Americans look sons and daughters of a very rich family. They have never created the vast land and natural resources, in addition to democracy and freedom which were all invented in Europe.

If Japan had succeeded in establishing and deploying its own Intel, Microsoft, Yahoo, and Google earlier than the U.S. in 1990's, New York should not be so shining today.

I mean people in the world should not be excessively overwhelmed or dazzled by the U.S. and its material success.

For example, if all the foreign-born workers in Intel, Microsoft, Yahoo, and Google go back to their mother countries and establish their own Intel, Microsoft, Yahoo, and Google there, New York should not be so shining today.

Calculate a portion of US GDP contributed only by Anglo-Americans or European Americans, and you will find the figures not so shining.

In other words, the aura of New York is based on betrayal of those foreign-born workers to their home countries in a sense.

They must be greater when they leave America for their home country than when they were admitted to America.

When the hegemony of the Roman Empire collapsed, Western Europe got richer. When the hegemony of the Spanish Empire collapsed, the Atlantic region got richer. When the hegemony of the British Empire collapsed, Asia and Africa got richer.

Now, the collapse of the hegemony of the United States may make the whole world richer.

Can't the U.S. be a grain of wheat for peace and prosperity in the world?

The big difference between New York and Tokyo is that Tokyo has been built only by a single race, Japanese. No other races have ever made any non-nonsense contribution to the success of this international city. In the human history, no other single races have ever built this scale of city.

Calculate a portion of Japan's GDP contributed only by native Japanese, and you will find the figure shining rather more in a sense.

If the U.S. cannot be a grain of wheat for peace and prosperity in the world, citizens in the world have to stay in their mother country so as to be a grain of wheat for peace and prosperity therein.

Yet, my faith is that Jesus Christ would help non-Americans before He help Americans just like He helped Israelites before He helped Romans.

What non-Americans need is just a bit little courage to be highly appraised by the God in their home countries so as to be a hero in the world, which they cannot become in the U.S.

(I have nothing to say to American heroes. Just like Jesus Christ did not say anything on Roman heroes and heroines.

I have really nothing to say, except in a case of being so encouraged by the Lord God.)
