Obon Festival Season in Japan


Most of companies and businesses in Japan recommend their employees to take summer holidays over this week end. Some are already in their traditional (Buddhist) Obon holidays when people are expected to remember, and show respect for, deceased members of their family and ancestors.

It climaxes on August 15 when the WWII ended for Japan.



SECTION I: Recent News in Japan

1. Arrest of Former P.M.'s Son

The eldest son of former Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Yoshiro Mori, still a national lawmaker of the LDP, was arrested for violation of the Road Traffic Law in the home-town prefecture for the Moris.

Former Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Yoshiro Mori has been virtually the top senior leader of a faction of the LDP where four former prime ministers, namely Mr. Mori himself, Mr. Junichiro Koizumi, Mr. Shinzo Abe, and Mr. Yasuo Fukuda, belong.

This faction, called Seiwakai, of the Liberal Democratic Party was once in rivalry against a faction founded by former P.M. Kakuei Tanaka in 1970's. It is said that this faction finally took hold of the the LDP from the rival party by leveraging its tie with America during the reign of Prime Minister Mr. Koizumi in 2000's.

Seiwakai led by Mr. Mori was originally founded by former P.M. Takeo Fukuda, the father of former P.M. Mr. Yasuo Fukuda, in early 1960's, who was a successor of former P.M. Mr. Nobusuke Kishi, a counterpart of U.S. President Eisenhower. Takeo Fukuda competed with Kakuei Tanaka fiercely for premiership of Japan in early 1970's when Mr. Ichiro Ozawa was a member of the faction led by Tanaka.

Even today, while the LDP lost power due to the regime change last year, Seiwakai is a leading faction of the LDP, though the LDP, now an opposition party, is requested to change itself for regaining trust from voters.



2. Arrest of Former LDP Lawmaker

Former Lower-House member Mr. Koichi Hamada was arrested for a charge of breach of trust, involving 200 million yen or $2.5 million.

Mr. Koichi Hamada was an ex-gangster, according to his own remarks, but elected seven times as national lawmaker till his retirement in early 1990's. His son succeeded him as an LDP lawmaker. Since then, Mr. Koichi Hamada wrote best-sellers and became a kind of TV personality till recently. In the meantime, from outside the LDP, he took some actions to help the LDP occasionally, especially when the Koizumi Cabinet was pursuing postal reformation around 2005.

It is unknown how much the regime change since the last year and a subsequent expansion of influence of anti-Koizumi lawmakers (including Mr. Ichiro Ozawa) have an influence on very conservative Mr. Koichi Hamada.

Mr. Koichi Hamada was a friend of some financiers and other fixers involved in the Lockheed scandal and the arrest of former P.M. Kakuei Tanaka of 1970's, though Kakuei Tanaka helped Mr. Ozawa make his career in politics till Mr. Ozawa left the LDP as a spin-out in early 1990's.


3. Suicide Attempt by NHK Host

NHK is the only public broadcasting body in Japan.

It has a weekly political debate program to be broadcast nationwide on every Sunday morning. Top leaders and executives of the ruling DPJ, the ex-ruling party LDP, and other parties are usually invited for discussion in this program, since this program is regraded as the most influential or authentic among various TV programs on politics in Japan.

So, the host of the program is one of the elites and the best staff members of NHK. But, he tried to commit suicide yesterday, surprising all the parties concerned and audiences.

NHK elite Mr. Kageyama is said to have once criticized Mr. Ichiro Ozawa in the program, one of top leaders of the DPJ, so harshly. Lower-House maker Mr. Ozawa is now opposing P.M. Mr. Kan, though they closely cooperated for the regime change last year. But, as Mr. Kan has tied up with Mr. Yoshito Sengoku and other anti-Ozawa lawmakers, Mr. Ozawa reportedly got angry with P.M. Mr. Kan. But, as Mr. Ozawa is bothered now by a possible prosecution for his doubtful political fund handling, he will not be able to take a decisive action for the time being.

Therefore, a chance that Mr. Ozawa will take over from P.M. Mr. Kan through the party convention scheduled this September is not large. But, it is an unchanged fact that 40-years-long lawmaker Mr. Ichiro Ozawa has still a potential to change the whole political landscape in Japan, as he might leave the DPJ with 100 or more lawmakers subject to him so as to tie up with the LDP.

In the tense conditions, even a host of a TV debate program might feel pressed so much, especially, in a situation where an ex-prime minister or a kingmaker is faced with the worst crisis in his career, like the case of former Prime Minister Kakuei Tnaka.

SECTION II: Black, Golden, & White

It is well known that there are three major races among mankind.

The distinction between Negroids, Mongoloids, and Caucasoids is decided by a special blood feature: the Gm gene.

Negroids:.......(a, b1, b3); (a, b1, c); (a, b3, s)

Caucasoids:......(a, g); (a, x, g); (f, b1, b3)

Caucasoids and Mongoloids shared some Gm genes: (a, g) and (a, x, g).

However, Negroids do not have these two genes.

Accordingly, after some group of mankind left Africa, they split into Caucasoids and Mongoloids.

Yet, Mongoloids split further into Southern Mongoloids and Northern Mongoloids.

Southern Mongoloids are closer to Caucasoids due to gene elements "f" and "b1" while Northern Mongoloids are more unique due to "t."

When analyzing peoples and tribes in the world based on the above Gm gene distribution, we get the following findings:

For example, the Iranians consist of Caucasoid traits in a ratio of 72.6%.

The Indians consist of Caucasoid traits in a ratio of 42.6%.

The Nepalese consist of Caucasoid traits in a ratio of 25.0%.

The Karen Burmese (Myanmarese) consist of Caucasoid traits in a ratio of 0%.

The Karen Burmese (Myanmarese) also consist of Southern Mongoloid traits in a ratio of 82.3%.

Yet, it is apparent that East Asians (Japanese, Mongolians, Koreans, Chinese, Siberians, and native Americans) belong to Northern Mongoloids and are very different from other races.

In addition, note that those who have stayed in Africa, namely Negroids, have differentiated among themselves as sub-evolution to the degree more than those who moved out to Europe, Asia, Australia, and Americas (before 1492) have differentiated among themselves in total.

Though Africans today have all the dark skin, they include far more various types of sub-races than observed in the rest of the world as a whole.

It means that one African can be more different from another African, except the color of skin, than a Swede is from a native American living on the Amazon.

Finally, Negroids do not have common genomes with Neanderthals. But, Caucasoids and Mongoloids have 1 to 4% of genomes, among all of their genomes, common to those of Neanderthals.

The Meta-Race X split to the Common Ancestors of Negroids and Caucasoids/Mongoloids and the Ancestors of Neanderthals who left Africa 400,000 years ago.

Now the yen has risen to 85 yen per dollar.

Graduates from universities in Japan face difficulty of finding employment.

If the socialistic Kan Cabinet cannot take effective mesaures to lower unemployment in a year or so, it will face difficulty of gaining a sufficient approval rating.

In that case, a new temporary coalition Cabinet might be needed in an alliance with the DPJ and the LDP, till the next general election, so as to take drastic stimulus measures.

Then the new Cabinet and government will have to address a possible burst of the Chinese bubble.

Forgotten Heroes


In 1950's, no philosophy was needed but energy to build or enjoy life again after WWII, while free countries and socialist countries started to compete almost on the same technological and industrial level.

In 1960's, the industrial and economic power of the free world came to surpass that of the socialist world, while old political paradigms, which easily led to abuse of war, in the free world caused hot frictions between generations and classes. So, some philosophy was radically wanted by youths in the free world, including Japan and America.

In 1970's, with the end of the Vietnam War and the success of the Apollo project, there were no more serious philosophical conflicts within the free world. The Cold War was only sustained by the huge nuclear war capability of the Soviet Union who lost in competition in industry and culture.

In 1980's, while Japan was consolidating its status as the second largest economy in the world, the free world entered an era where no philosophy was needed but economic expansion. However, with crude oil being needed more than ever for global industries, the Islamic world emerged as other element posing a religious challenge.

In 1990's, as the U.S. started to leverage its merit in computer and communications technologies, applying them to the financial sector, money started to replace philosophy and partly religions as a major key code for social behaviors of Europeans and Americans in large, and some Japanese as well as some rich people in the world including Islamic nations and China.

In 2000's, China started to leverage this world intellectual status, respecting money and neglecting or making little of philosophy and religions where a concept of freedom is essentially included.

Yet, in 2010, the No.2 politician in the Japanese Government or the Kan Cabinet, is behaving like it is still in 1950's or early 1960's when a school of modern philosophy of Japan was being cultivated and formulated by a certain genius...




SECTION I: A Hiroshima Victim - Masao Maruyama

There are many Japanese scholars, professors, critics, politicians, journalists, and bloggers who praise Masao Maruyama, since he was a kind of genius professor on politics and political philosophy in Japan after WWII.

Maruyama Masao (March 22, 1914 - August 15, 1996), was a leading Japanese political scientist and political theorist. His expertise lay in the history of Japanese political thought, to which he made major contributions.

In March 1945, Maruyama was drafted and stationed in the Army at Hiroshima. After experiencing the blast at Hiroshima and seeing out the end of the war there, he returned to his post at the university in September.

One of great admirers of Maruyama is Mr. Yoshito Sengoku, Chief Cabinet Secretary of the Kan Cabinet.

Accordingly, many critics, conservative or liberal, who support the Democratic Party of Japan, Prime Minister Mr. Naoto Kan, or the most powerful DPJ lawmaker Mr. Ichiro Ozawa are also admirers of Masao Murayama.

Masao Murayama was arrested by special political police before WWII, since he was regarded as a dangerous Marxist student of an elite Imperial high school.

But, he entered the Imperial University of Tokyo to graduate and became an assistant professor of the Faculty of Law, the most elite faculty in the Empire of Japan, as he was supported by a very friendly professor of the Imperial University.

However, as WWII exhausted resources of the Empire, even Imperial students were drafted. However, it was unthinkable that any professors of the Faculty of Law of the Imperial Tokyo University was drafted as a soldier or even as an officer. Maruyama was the only exception.

In 1944, Maruyama at the age of 30 was sent to Pyongyang, since North Korea was then part of the Empire of Japan. Maruyama was treated very badly and violently by noncommissioned officers, since Maruyama was a buck private with higher status in the society and also semi-Marxist backgrounds. Yet, Maruyama refused to exercise a special privilege given to university graduates in the Imperial Army. If Maruyama had wished, he could have been soon promoted to a commissioned officer. But, he would not, in order to appeal that he was forced into the military service.

Maruyama got sick. He was sent to a hospital to be discharged eventually. But, in March 1945, he was drafted again to be sent to Hiroshima where he suffered the atomic bomb attack by the U.S. military on August 15, 1945. He, as a cipher-clerk buck private, was assigned to the headquarters of the ship management division of the Imperial Army situated at Ujina Town, 5 km from the Ground Zero of Hiroshima. Nonetheless, he was not injured badly and could work as usual after the atomic bomb attack.

When WWII ended, Masao Maruyama returned to the University of Tokyo as professor of Law. He later became the most influential and respected scholar in politics and political philosophy in the Japanese society after WWII. That is why even Mr. Yoshito Sengoku, Chief Cabinet Secretary of the Kan Cabinet, has sometimes confessed that he always keeps books written by Masao Maruyama at hand. Indeed, Mr. Sengoku is regarded as more liberal and socialistic than P.M. Mr. Kan.

So, to understand P.M. Mr. Kan and the Kan Cabinet, it is important to understand Masao Maruyama, since Mr. Yoshito Sengoku, Chief Cabinet Secretary of the Kan Cabinet, has sometimes confessed that he always keeps books written by Masao Maruyama at hand, since lawmaker Mr. Yoshito Sengoku is also a lawyer graduated from the Faculty of Law, the University of Tokyo, where he was a student movement activist in late 1960's.



SECTION II: Modern Philosophy in Japan

Most of Americans who graduate from a college or a university do not know anything about modern philosophy in Japan.

There is long, wide, deep, and abundant traditions in modern study of philosophy in Japan since the Meiji Restoration of imperial authority and modernization of Japan. Since the late 19th century, many Japanese professors and students have studied European philosophy and developed Japanese modern philosophy.

Before the Meiji Restoration of imperial authority and modernization of Japan in the late 19th century, Japanese scholars in the samurai era had studied with enthusiasm Chinese philosophy and Buddhism, in addition to Japanese spiritualism, for 1000 years. But, after opening the door of Japan to the world in the late 19th century, many Japanese professors and students have studied European philosophy and developed Japanese modern philosophy.

Based on this unique modern intellectual framework, Japan could also develop science and technology. This is the most striking difference from other non-European nations. As most of Asian and African countries were simply forced to accept, or only accepted, Western philosophy, they could not develop their own philosophy which should have given an intellectual framework as in the case of Japan. Without such a basic and unique intellectual framework in a nation, no science and technology can be developed so as to compete with Europe and America.

Americans simply see Sony, Toyota, Honda, Panasonic, etc. But, they cannot see Masao Maruyama and tens of thousands philosophers and scholars in Japan who have provided in total an intellectual framework on which various Japanese industries and makers have been built since the late 19th century.

In this context, the recent economic success of China and Korea also tells how much both the countries have been influenced by, and learnt, the Japanese modern philosophy, including that cultivated by Masao Maruyama.

Ancient Chinese philosophy, such as Confucianism, and Buddhism cannot make China and Korea to catch up with Europe and America in terms of technology.

They have been requested to learn Japanese modern philosophy.

So, to a surprise of American and European intellectual elites, the economic success in East Asia owes much to a higher level of the modern philosophy developed and studied by modern Japanese scholars since the late 19th century.

Masao Maruyama befriended then Prime Minister Takeo Miki.

P.M. Miki issued approval for the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office to arrest former P.M. Kakuei Tanaka in connection to the Lockheed scandal in 1976.

As Kakuei Tnaka had various and huge sources for his political funds, he actually controlled 100 and more national lawmakers of Japan. He bought loyalty from hundreds of other Diet members, elite bureaucrats, and journalists by money.

So, it was a big surprise to the Japanese public. People thought some powerful Americans, such as Mr. Henry Kissinger, must have been behind P.M. Miki, since Tanaka took diplomatic policies as if competing with America in terms of China, Russia, and energy issues.

However, it was clear that behind then Prime Minister Takeo Miki there was philosophy cultivated by Masao Maruyama, though such an academic way of thinking is one of intellectual products ex-Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka most abhorred, since Tanaka had no backgrounds of higher education (so that he was very popular among ordinary voters).

In this context, I praise Masao Maruyama.

But, I think Professor Maruyama should have worked among poor workers in a small factory in a local town somewhere in Japan so as to enhance his philosophy as high as possible, though he had an experience of serving the nation as a mere soldier of the Imperial Army in Hiroshima in the summer of 1945.

That is why I do not praise Masao Maruyama in a comprehensive manner.

The world can be returned to its 1930's or 1940's by the God at any time, since He is Almighty.

SECTION I: In 1985 around Tokyo 520 Citizens Victimized

Indeed, 25 years ago, I was living near one of the hottest cities in the summer of Japan which is situated in the middle of the Kanto Plain that holds Tokyo City on its southern end.

One day, I looked up at the sky, since there flying was a gray, big jet plane, 27,000 feet high just over the apartment house I lived in. I had never realized there was an air route above the humble apartment house I lived in. So, the big jet plane was very impressive, silently flying.

Then, at night, they reported on TV that a jet plane was missing since it had departed from the Haneda Airport at dusk, with 509 passengers on board...


On March 8, 1985, a car bomb planted in Beirut by CIA mercenaries attempts to kill Islamic cleric Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah and kills more than 80 people, injuring 200.

On March 17, 1985, Expo '85, a World's Fair, is held in Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan, until September 16.

On May 25, 1985, Bangladesh is hit by a tropical cyclone and storm surge, which kills approximately 10,000 people.

On June 23, 1985, Air India Flight 182, a Boeing 747, blows up 31,000 feet (9,500 m) above the Atlantic Ocean, south of Ireland, killing all 329 aboard.

Yet, the year 1985 for most of the Japanese people is still remembered for the greatest single airplane accident in the human history, "Japan Airlines Flight 123," though since 1985 no one was killed in passenger-plane accidents in Japan.

Japan Airlines Flight 123 was a Japan Airlines domestic flight from Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) to Osaka International Airport (Itami) on August 12, 1985. The Boeing 747-SR46 that made this route, registered JA8119, suffered mechanical failures 12 minutes into the flight and 32 minutes later crashed into two ridges of Mount Takamagahara in Ueno, Gunma Prefecture, 100 kilometers from Tokyo, on Monday 12 August 1985. The crash site was on Osutaka Ridge (******, Osutaka-no-One?), near Mount Osutaka. All 15 crew members and 505 out of 509 passengers died, resulting in a total of 520 deaths and 4 survivors.

Truly, when looking back now, the world of 1985 looked very unusual, though people were living like in any normal year in Japan and the U.S. under the Cold War and the Japanese economic expansion in the world.

But, if looked back to, this year 2010 will look very unusual with so many victims due to earthquakes (including the one in Haiti), floods (in China and Pakistan), heat waves, and forest fires (in Russia), though people are living like any normal year in Japan and the U.S. despite the actual regime changes in 2009 in both the countries.




SECTION II: In 1985 around Tokyo I was Not Crashed

Around 1985, you had primitive personal computers but no cellular phones, though Intel processor chips were used in the so-called micro-computer/controller systems.

It was an era of the shift from large-size mainframe computers to middle-sized mini-computers/office-computers. In terms of architecture, it is an era of the paradigm shift from central processing of data and commands in a single, large computer to a distributed processing system linking several mini-computers.

Fujitsu has almost caught up with U.S. IBM in development of mainframes. But, in the mini-computer market, U.S. DEC had a dominant share in Japan. Other Japanese electronic manufacturers, such as Hitachi, NEC, Toshiba, Oki, Matsushita, etc., have been also providing their brands or allied brands of computer systems in various sizes.

Around 1985, Japanese economy expanded so much as symbolized by these manufacturers, including IBM Japan. Expo '85, a World's Fair, held in Tsukuba, Japan, was a place to introduce the advanced material technology, semiconductor technology, electronics, mechatronics, robotics, bio-technology, etc. of Japan, since Japan really caught up with America in terms of these advanced technology. Even Japanese-OS PCs showed equal performance to American PCs running Microsoft BASIC.

While the Soviet war in Afghanistan entered the sixth year and the Iran–Iraq War entered the fifth year, Japan was concentrating in technological development and economic expansion to the global market.

So, Japanese office workers of leading companies were busy flying between Tokyo and Osaka, since Osaka is the economic center of western Japan. So, on August 12, 1985, at dusk, 509 passengers were about to fly from Tokyo (Haneda) to Osaka on board the Boeing 747-SR46.

If you worked in a certain department or a unit of a certain company, you might have to make a business trip with some other colleagues, taking the same flight.

In this way, many office workers of first-rate companies in Tokyo and Osaka were killed in the 1985 accident of Japan Airlines Flight 123, while the Japanese people were enjoying life getting so rich and confidence getting so strong in the society further industrialized.

What's more, the death of the famous singer, Kyu Sakamoto, in the accident was a great shock to ordinary people, as he had achieved the American hit-chart No.1 with the "Sukiyaki" song in early 1960's. Truly a boom of youth ended for many Japanese with this tragedy.

(However, among miracle survivors, there was a girl from a city famous for a great Shinto shrine, suggesting something so divine to some Japanese.)

In this way, I was not included in the victims of ultimate sacrifice for the era, though I might have been at Haneda at dusk of August 12, 1985.

The next shock the Japanese people experienced in grave alarm was historically slated to come in 1995.

Fools Can Insult Saints namely Poor Men



No matter how rich a Japanese man is, he will not, in most cases, insult a poor Japanese in public in Japan.

But, a rich European does not mind, in most cases, insulting a poor Japanese in public in Japan.

Applying a moral and religious code of Japan, such a rich European is an enemy of the culture, tradition, and history of Japan.

But, there is a more smart type of Europeans, such as a Vatican priest who does not first try to become a Japanese citizen and sever a tie with the Vatican but keeps their Vatican identity proudly while preaching Gospels and living in Japan even till their death.

SECTION I: A Japanese Comic Artist

Late Osamu Tezuka created many titles all through his career as the king of Japanese comic artists after WWII.

He even depicted stories of the Old Testament and the Buddha, since he graduated from the No.1 high school of Osaka to get into the faculty of medicine of the Osaka University and eventually become a medical doctor and a Doctor of Medicine.

But, as Tezuka was a talented person, he did not practice medicine. He came to Tokyo and succeeded as the king of Japanese comic artists after WWII.

(Nowadays, medical doctors with less ability in medicine tried to be a politician, while Japan needs more medical doctors. They are two-level lower than Osamu Tezuka.)

Apart from Tezuka, I didn't know other Japanese comic artists who took the Buddha as a theme of their work.

Last year, two big natural gas fields were discovered by an American energy company off Palestine or Israel.

The gas fields are estimated to be able to provide energy sources that match all the needs in Israel for 20 to 40 years.

But, these underwater gas fields look like extending to the sea territory of Lebanon. They can be a chance for mutual economic growth or a source of a new war between Lebanon and Israel.

SECTION III: Anti-Whaling but Not Anti-American Military Japanese


There are some Japanese who look like a kind of opinion leaders in Japan while they are supporting Greenpeace/Sea Shepherd and the like.

Some American/European media and even Greenpeace/Sea Shepherd like to praise those Japanese. They seem to love to share hate against Japan, Japanese traditions, and the Japanese race.

But, most of them are linked with the Social Democratic Party of Japan, whose popularity rating is less than 2%, and other socialistic movement that in most cases support North Korea, since those radically liberal Japanese are against Japanese nationalism and capitalism. They think North Korea today is still a victim of Japanese nationalism and militarism.

But, as those anti-whaling Japanese are anti-Japanese nationalism, some anti-Japanese American/European media and even Greenpeace/Sea Shepherd like to praise those Japanese. It is very stupid, since such American/European media and even Greenpeace are supported by Wall Street and Anglo-Saxon capitalists who are basically enemies of North Korea, the Social Democratic Party of Japan, and those anti-whaling Japanese.

It is a lack of intelligence on both the sides that have enabled such a stupid alliance.

Wall Street, Anglo-Saxon capitalists, and anti-whaling Greenpeace do not like Japanese nationalists. Those socialistic, anti-whaling, and North-Korea supporting Japanese do not like Japanese nationalists. So, as they are not so intelligent, they mistake each other as a friend.

And, as those socialistic, anti-whaling Japanese are so anti-nationalism that they cannot understand merit, virtue, and value of the Japanese culture. They might pass the bar exam, but they lack commonsense. Accordingly, they cannot be opinion leaders at all in Japan; they are like anti-Israeli and thus anti-Judaism Wall Street lawyers nobody regard as an opinion leader of America.

For example, such immature anti-whaling Japanese think that Japanese people in general believed that a holy wind (kamikaze) would surely blow when Japan faced a crisis like WWII. The Japanese people even before WWII had received modern education; nobody believed such a myth and superstition. (Japanese people were so modern as to build the second powerful Navy based on the latest technology of the era before WWII.)

Situations that led to WWII are more complicated than those immature anti-whaling Japanese think today. They do not even know Taisho democracy. The situation of WWII in Japan was very exceptional, since Japanese traditions and culture existed very effectively and worked so well to every Japanese. As they cannot understand how value and merit of traditions and culture work, they think that the Japanese people were controlled by crazy cold-blood leaders like fools or cowards. Japanese people till 1945 had been working hard, competing with American and European powers so bravely and wisely in every field unlike Chinese and Koreans. Yet, they cannot even criticize North Korean leaders. The issue is how cruelly Europe, the Soviet Union, and the U.S. made war against the Empire of Japan, and how badly China was determined to continue war with the Empire of Japan since their launching of an all-out attack onto Shanghai defended by the Imperial Marines in 1930's (though Imperial Army should not have driven them back as far as Nanjing).

If those anti-whaling Japanese do not blame the American media and Greenpeace, those Japanese are truly foolish, since the American media and Greenpeace/Sea Shepherd do not blame America for the atomic bomb attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Yet, this mutual misunderstanding is very dangerous and an obstructive factor for sound mutual prosperity and peace between Japan and America/Europe.

And, their stupid alliance with anti-Japanese foreign movement is against the Japanese interest, though Japan has no law to ban it, such as North Korea and China.

Those liberal anti-whaling/anti-nationalism Japanese must be engaged in anti-American military movement, since Afghan people are more important than whales.

I really had compassion on their low level of intelligence. But, as the God told me to be humble to those fools, I respected their humanity, self-pride, and self-confidence, which they could not realize.

Frankly speaking, it is not so difficult to understand the modern history of the United States.

The U.S. wanted to join the European Theater of WWII before the Pearl Harbor attack of December 1941.

It is still unknown how much the American Government and the American people then knew about large-scale silent attacks on Judaists by Nazi Germany.

But, when Nazi Germany occupied Paris in June 1940, started air raids on Great Britain in August 1940, and concluded the Three Axis Pact with Italy and the Empire of Japan in September 1940, some Americans must have started to think about a need to join the war in Europe in order to rescue the U.K. if not to save Judaists.

So, Nazi Germany and Hitler were careful not to provoke America. They even abandoned an idea of landing on Great Britain. Instead of demanding surrender of the U.K., Nazi Germany and Hitler started to invade the Soviet Union in June 1941, though without calling the Empire of Japan to any concerted military operation against the USSR.

As Nazi Germany and Hitler invaded Russia but not England, the U.S. could not find a reason for immediately joining the war in Europe. But, it is apparent that at this point the U.S. Government, but not the American people, got determined to join the war.

So, the U.S. wanted to join the European Theater of WWII before the Pearl Harbor attack of December 1941.

At the time, there are three parties working hard on the U.S. Government to lead America into participation in the war: the U.K., Judaists, and China, though China wanted the war between the U.S. and the Empire of Japan.

Finally, at some point in 1941, the U.S. Government got determined to join the war. For example, JFK joined the U.S. Navy several months before the Pearl Harbor Attack. And a news report that the Imperial Army advanced to South Vietnam taking over French ruling in July 1941 offended Washington and made angry President Roosevelt furiously, though Japanese occupation of Vietnam was based on an agreement with the French Government.

Then, in November 1941, the U.S. Government sent the so-called Hull note to the Imperial Government in Tokyo, as a virtual ultimatum, since the U.S. Government had already pressed the Empire through oil/iron embargoes and forfeiture of Japanese assets in America, so that the Empire had no options left but total abandonment of its interest in China (as the Hull note so requested) or opening war with the U.S.

Stimson, United States Secretary of War noted in his diary that he had discussed with US President Roosevelt the severe likelihood that Japan was about to launch a surprise attack, and that the question had been "how we should maneuver them [the Japanese] into the position of firing the first shot without allowing too much danger to ourselves.'"[2][3]

On the following day, November 26, 1941, Hull presented the Japanese ambassador with the Hull note, which as one of its conditions demanded the complete withdrawal of all Japanese troops from French Indochina and China. It did not refer to Manchukuo, in which hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians were already living. Japanese Prime Minister Tojo Hideki said to his cabinet, "this is an ultimatum."

Accordingly the Pearl Harbor Attack was carried out, though the U.S. Government and President Roosevelt thought the Imperial Navy would attack U.S. military bases and General MacArthur in the Philippines, while General MacArthur was not worried about air raids by the Imperial air squadrons from their Taiwan bases. They did not know that the Imperial Navy had already introduced the Zero fighter plane that could fly over 3,000 km, from a land base or an aircraft carrier.

The Empire of Japan launched a surprise attack as the U.S. Government and President Roosevelt had expected, but not on U.S. bases in the Philippines but in Hawaii, not by naval gunfire but by several aircraft carriers and more than three hundreds of fighter planes. After three years and eight months of fierce battles beyond human imagination (with kamikaze tactics and atomic bombs), the Empire of Japan surrendered and the WWII ended, as everybody knows.

Then, the U.S. wanted to join the civil war in Vietnam before the JFK assassination of November 1963.

After almost 12 years of fierce battles using full of modern weapons (but preventing direct involvement of China and the USSR), the U.S. pulled out of Vietnam and the Vietnam War ended, as everybody knows.

Then, the U.S. wanted to join the de-facto war between Israel and anti-Israeli Muslims before the World Trade Center & Pentagon attacks of September 2001.

After almost nine years, the main stage of the War on Anti-Israeli Terrorists has just shifted from Iraq to Afghanistan, as everybody knows.

Today, if Americans read the Japanese Constitution (in English), they would not think that they could draft it so wisely and ideally. But, Americans in 1940's could do. Americans have changed so much since WWII. The American ideal those Americans cherished around 1945 was gone out of their mind.

Specifically, an influence of Judaists on the American politics and economy was not so salient and outstanding around 1945. America was without doubt a Puritan nation around 1945, no matter whatever degree it was to. But, after WWII, drastically America changed its religious landscape absorbing spirits of modern Judaism. A half-Judaist/half-Christian American cannot write, for example, a draft of the Japanese Constitution like the one some full-Christian Americans did after WWII.

For the WWII, the great tragedy of European Judaists was one of major causes.

For the Vietnam War, development of a great influence of American Judaists, such as Mr. Kissinger, was one of major background conditions, while Catholic President JFK was eventually assassinated, paving the way for the rise of Mr. Kissinger and the likes.

For the War on Terror, the Israeli-American alliance is a major underlying factor, though the Bushes and the likes have had a strong tie with Islamic elites of Saudi Arabia and so on. Even, President Mr. Barack Obama has been under an influence of Judaists very casually, if not intended for any specific causes unusual for ordinary Americans.

What I want to emphasize is that history still holds and uses Judaists as a key element by connecting them to the super-power America.

But, as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, in addition to Judaistic philosophy such as Marxism, have prevailed all over the world, all the more Japan has become unique.

Accordingly, Japan must coexist with the world, since it has the Constitution framed by the American-Christian democratic ideal or the democratic ideal implanted through American Christians after WWII.

(As for the Article 9 issue, namely implication that Japan should surrender if once invaded by foreign forces without making war and resorting to Japan's military forces, it is invalid technically since it denies the existence of Japan and thus the existence of the Constitution itself. It is a suicidal article. So, it should be interpreted as requesting power to defend Japan different from that used in the era of WWII. It could be diplomatic power, economic power, technological power, cultural power, ethical power, or any power. New Japanese defence machine and systems must be subject to them, so that the Article 9 will not find any Army, Navy, and Air Forces, run by the Government based on the concept of the era of WWII, to apply to. And, Japan will be defended not through war but through exercise of such power. For example, before the Chinese military invades Japan, 400 million Chinese would stand against the Chinese Communist Party to topple its ruling if Japan exercises such power. This level of paradigm change is requested by the Article 9.)

U.S. Ambassador to Japan Mr. Roos attended the Hiroshima anniversary event today.

It is the first time that a U.S. ambassador joined the memorial service held in Hiroshima on August 6 every year.

President Mr. Barack Obama reportedly asked Ambassador Mr. Roos to join the event.

Accordingly, the French Government and the U.K. Government have sent their representatives to the Hiroshima event for the first time.

In the past year, 5,501 Hiroshima atomic-bomb survivors (radiation victims) died, further increasing the accumulated number of the victims of the 1945 Hiroshima nuclear-bomb attack to 269,446.

As the U.S. military was afraid of losing one million soldiers on battles planned to be carried out on the mainland Japan, the U.S. Government decided to use all the two atomic bombs they had in the summer of 1945.

Not only using atomic bombs, the U.S. Government wrongly asked the Soviet Union to join the Pacific Stage of WWII which was almost to be given up by the Empire.

But, some U.S. officers of WWII could not survive till 2010, like JFK.




SECTION I: Kennedy in August 1943


John F. Kennedy was prepared for the Pacific Theater of WWII, joining the U.S. Navy in September 1941 when he was 34 years old, though the Pearl Harbor Attack happened in December of 1941.

Kennedy had used his family influence to get into the war quickly. The Allies were in a campaign of island hopping since securing Guadalcanal in a bloody battle in early 1943. Kennedy was assigned PT-109 upon arriving at Tulagi. By August 1943, the Allies had captured Rendova and moved PT boat operations there. The US Army was driving the Japanese out of Munda airfield at New Georgia by August. All of the islands around Blackett Strait were still held by the Japanese.

However, his commanding torpedo boat encountered a battle-tested destroyer of the Imperial Navy, Amagiri, around 2 a.m. on August 2, 1943 to be charged and cut half, since Imperial sailors found PT-109 800 meters far or within a 30-second range. (The collision might have caused explosion of torpedoes in PT-109, which must have largely destroyed Amagiri. So, there is still an argument about which of the captain of the dstroyer or the admiral of the fleet on board the same ship decided to take a risk of crashing Amagiri into PT-109.)

On 2 August, while returning from another Tokyo Express night reinforcement fast transport mission to Vila, Amagiri rammed and sank the future U.S. President John F. Kennedy's PT-109 torpedo boat. Many believe that the ship was not even aware of PT-109, which was difficult to see because of its small size and lack of lights. However, Robert J. Donovan in his book PT 109: John F. Kennedy in WWII, after interviewing many of the crew, concludes that it was not an accident, and he talked to the man at the wheel who was ordered to steer for a collision course. Amagiri also engaged other PT boats in the Blackett Strait south of Kolombangara. Lieutenant Commander Kohei Hanami — who commanded Amagiri at that time — attended President Kennedy's inauguration in 1961.

However, Kennedy swam for five hours helping and pulling other 10 crews through a rope to eventually reach a small uninhabited island. Then, Kennedy started to swim again, though his back bone was injured, to another island where he might have found a help, since he had been a good swimmer in Harvard.

Kennedy reached the next island to meet a native resident, so that he picked up a coconut on which to inscribe a message requesting rescue to the Allied Forces. The native islander took it and left Kennedy, but later he returned with a correspondence from a New Zealand unit. Accordingly, John F. Kennedy and other 10 crews were rescued.

The coconut was later placed in the Oval Office; it was there even on the day of the tragedy in Dallas.

During his stay in Tokyo in 1951, John F. Kennedy tried to find whether or where Kohei Hanami, the captain of Amagiri that destroyed PT-109 , still lived. Hanami lived in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, working as a mayor.

In the magazine TIME issued on August 18, 1952, Kennedy's campaign for the Massachusetts senator seat was reported. In a footnote of the article, Kennedy's experiences in August 1943 was mentioned.

Hanami read this footnote and sent a letter to John F. Kennedy which was introduced in the issue of November 3, 1952 of the TIME.

Since then, Kennedy has heard from Kohei Hanami, who wrote; "When I read the TIME magazine of Aug. 18, which mentioned the battle in question, my memory being refreshed, I can vividly recall what happened...

I come to know from TIME that you are going to run for the next election of Senators. I am firmly convinced that a person who practice tolerance to the former enemy, like you, if elected to the high office in your country, would no doubt contribute...to the promotion of genuine friendship between Japan and the U.S."

They continued to exchange letters. Hanami celebrated Kennedy's marriage and then victory in the Presidential election.

Even though Hanami himself did not fly to America to help Kennedy's presidential campaign, ex-sailors of Amagiri visited America to boost Kennedy's popularity among voters. As a consequence, Kennedy could defeat Nixon at a margin of 0.04% in the share of the vote.

It might be said that Kennedy owed his victory in the 1961 election to ex-captain Kohei Hanami and ex-sailors of the Imperial Navy.

Hiroshima is a centeral city west of Osaka/Kyoto and east of the Kyusyu island.

It was also a key military city since the Meiji Restoration of the imperial authority in 1868.

The second atomic bomb was first planned to be dropped on Kokura, an industrial city located at the north end of the Kyusyu Island facing the Korean Peninsula.

But, due to weather condition, a B-29 bomber changed the course to Nagasaki located on the north-west part of the Island. So, Nagasaki was attacked with the second nuclear bomb on August 9, 1945, three days after the Hiroshima tragedy.

So, soldiers and citizens then living and working around Kokura survived as a kind of miracle. Some of them must be still alive, though 65 years have passed.

The Japanese people are not different from any other peoples in the world.

But, only samurais and samurai-spirited generals are different, since they do not mind atomic bomb attacks. If they lose a war to be killed, their shame cannot be alleviated by a fact that their enemy has used atomic bombs.

Inevitably, the Empire of Japan fell and was gone forever with atomic-energy-heated waves of the air, taking the last remnants of samurais with it, but leaving the Emperor and politicians in Tokyo for the new era.

Victims and their families of the Hiroshima or Nagasaki nuclear bomb attack say, "No more Hiroshima! No more Nagasaki!"

It implies that if the Japanese people had been informed of the American technological level that actually enabled development of atomic bombs, they would not have supported the Imperial government venturing into the Pearl Harbor attack in 1941.

But, more importantly, Hiroshima and Nagasaki victims must have seen power of the anti-God and the God, in whatever implication.

This scale of victimization can be only matched by Auschwitz.

Takahashi as minister of finance took anti-deflation measures very quickly.

Takahashi carried out devaluation of yen, resulted in 40% depreciation of yen.

Takahashi took aggressive fiscal policy, issuing government bonds in a large quantity.

Takahashi had the Bank of Japan take up these government bonds, suppressing a rise of interest.

A rise of prices of goods was also controlled between 3% to 4% after BOJ started to buy the government bonds in 1932.

An amount of outstanding BOJ notes increased by 40%, but industrial output grew 2.3 times.

Five years before John Maynard Keynes launched his theory, Korekiyo Takahashi practiced actually contents of the theory of Keynes.

So, the Japanese Government today must follow this great precedence:
1. Lower an exchange rate of yen by 40%.

2. Issue government notes in a large quantity to exchange them with BOJ notes so as to increase circulation of yen notes by 40%.

3. Control the consumer price index around 3.5% and promote industrial activities by 150%.

Of course you need another Korekiyo Takahashi but neither Keynes nor Hitler, in order to realize this revolutionary change.

If Japan address this challenge with a new theory, Japan will lead the 21st century in terms of economy and economics.

On 7 May, Lord Rothschild wrote to Paris that, 'We can heartily congratulate you upon the expected satisfactory conclusion of a Franco-Japanese arrangement. We have always had great faith in Japan, faith in their military and naval prowess which the late war amply justified, faith in the resources of their country and still greater faith in the wisdom of the Japanese rulers …' Although Lord Rothschild and Alfred had met Takahashi when he first arrived in London in the spring of 1904, the 'always' had not begun until November 1905, that is, after the peace, when the risk of lending to Japan had been greatly reduced.

Korekiyo Takahashi was once a poor samurai boy sent to America for study. But, he was fell in a trap to be sold as a slave boy in a "white" man's farmer. Later, he successfully got freedom and came back to Japan when the samurai era had just gone.

Takahashi one time taught English in a school in Tokyo. One of his students was notable literary man Shiki Masaoka. As the greatest author in Japan Soseki Natsume was Masaoka's close friend, it was very interesting that Soseki later suffered in London during his stay for study, while Korekiyo enjoyed social relationships with the Rothschild and even the British Royal family. (Takahashi even sent two dogs to Queen of the England, namely the wife of the then British King.)

Anyway, the two greatest men, Takahashi and Natsume, in the modern history of Japan were somewhat linked, though they lived in very different domains.

When the Empire of Japan lost both Takahshi and Natsume without authentic successors, it was faced with a critical moment of WWII.

If you have not fully studied Korekiyo Takahashi and Soseki Natsume, you cannot be regraded as an expert in Japan, though you might be regarded so in New York or London, since Rothschild learnt Japan through Takahashi.

Those Japanese national lawmakers are apparently brainwashed by an old standard of value: Lawmakers are the elite so that they are respected by ordinary citizens, especially voters.

They do not look like being afraid of checks by the audience who are watching live broadcast from the parliament. They lack ability to correctly measure the ability needed to address challenges they are expected to tackle. They are not learning anything from plights Mr. Hatoyama, Mr. Ozawa, and even Mr. Kan have been forced to face.

So, I saw a car with a license number plate showing "11-07."

Then I saw other showing "44-04."

A snap election will be probably held in the next April, with a result symbolized by "44."

American whaling ships were outfitted with ‘try pots’ where the blubber was cooked on board ship, yielding the coveted oil. The oil was stored in barrels and, unlike fresh blubber, would not spoil because it had been cooked for a long time. Whaling voyages became longer and longer (up to five years) as the sperm whales in the Atlantic declined. By the late 1700s most voyages were all the way to the South Pacific (sometimes by way of the dreaded Cape Horn, at the tip of South America, and sometimes by the longer route around the Cape of Good Hope, at the tip of South Africa).

Sperm oil, spermaceti, and ambergris were the primary products from sperm whales. The sperm oil resulted from the 'trying out' of the blubber (cooking the blubber in the try pots on the whaling ships) and was used in lamps and as a lubricant...

The height of American whaling was from 1820 to 1850 – killing around 10,000 whales each year, sailing over 700 ships and employing over 70,000 people. The original techniques of the Basques (small open boats with a harpooner and long rope on the harpoon) prevailed as the primary killing mechanism. The long ride that many of these whale boats got after harpooning a whale became known as the "Nantucket sleigh ride."

...After the Civil War petroleum products began replacing the sperm oil in lamps and spermaceti in candles. Not much of the American whaling industry remained after 1925.

...The Charles Morgan is the only surviving American whaling ship. It is kept for public display at Mystic Seaport in Connecticut. Mystic Seaport is committed to keep this ship repaired and in use for public education.

Consider this: real estate values increased by 70 percent in Chinese cities in 2009, far beyond the average household’s affordable level. The stock market has skyrocketed by 80 percent beating even the best predictions for 2009. As the average Chinese have major investments in both these sectors, there will be turmoil if both sectors crash in 2010. If so, the U.S. recession of 2008-2009 would pale in contrast and China’s economic crisis could rival the U.S. depression of 1930.

Why are so many economists and brokers forecasting China’s internal implosion? Simply because they are reading about China’s US$580 billion stimulus package, the US$1.4 trillion lent by banks to the rich and powerful in China and the US$80 billion in foreign direct investment received in 2009. These are huge amounts of money that cannot be ignored.

This river of money has ended up in China’s real estate and stock markets. Everybody in the West knows what happens when markets shoot up too fast. They drop as rapidly as they rise, sinking tons of money. In the event of a stock market crash, all this money will evaporate and ruin the financial health of the country for a long time to come.

It is difficult to pinpoint when China will implode, but it seems certain that the laws of economics will take their due course. In this scenario, opportunists from the West, backed by Western money, will come into China’s financial markets and buy healthy Chinese companies on fire sale. Chinese investors will cry foul but to no avail. This will not be an end of the Chinese economy but rather a sobering reminder.

“If you look at housing prices to disposable income in Beijing and Shanghai, they are 13, 14 times,” said Sun, whose team was ranked third in Institutional Investor’s 2010 Asian poll for China research. “There’s no way you can say there’s no bubble.”

Real-estate prices jumped 12.4 percent across 70 cities in May, adding to the 12.8 percent surge in April that was the most since the data series began in 2005. The gains suggest that measures ranging from a ban on loans for third-home purchases to higher mortgage rates and downpayment requirements for second- home purchases have yet to cool the real-estate market.

China, the fastest-growing major economy, has been driving the global recovery. Exports jumped the most in six years in May, property prices rose at a near-record pace and inflation jumped to the highest in 19 months, putting pressure on Chinese authorities to let the yuan rise and increase interest rates.

Japan has relied on demand from China, the country's biggest overseas market, to fuel its own export-led rebound. Shipments abroad contributed the most to Japan's 5 percent annualized expansion in the first quarter. China grew 11.9 percent in the period, the fastest pace in almost three years.

Shirakawa said policy makers in China are addressing the risk of overheating, according to Tsumura. The central bank governor spoke in response to a question by Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshito Sengoku.

During WWII, in an island of the South Pacific, some remnants of a Japanese platoon were wandering in the jungle as these soldiers had no foods, ammunition, and an effective command line after fierce battles against large American forces.

When they sat or lied down waiting for death. An aid man of a certain unit appeared with a syringe in his hand. He started to make an injection to each soldier. One after another, the wounded or starving soldiers fell down. But, to the last one, the medical orderly said, "Sorry, no more injection solution"; and he disappeared into the jungle like a ghost.

The last soldier started to wander again eventually to a newly built road leading to a base of some American troops. So, he sat on the road side, waiting for something.

There came a jeep with "white" soldiers on it. They saw the half-dying Japanese soldier but passed by.

After a long while, there came another jeep with "black" soldiers on it. They saw the half-dying Japanese soldier but passed by. Yet, it halted at some distance and came back to pick up the enemy soldier.

The Japanese soldier returned to Japan after the war. He started to work as a driver of a Tokyo street car and then a Tokyo city bus.

He, namely a miracle veteran of WWII, sometimes recalled the incident, saying to young friends, "I was saved by black guys (but not by white guys) in the South Seas."
