The term "Axis of Evil" must be rooted in the Secrets of Fatima, since "communist Russia" was specifically mentioned in the Secrets Heaven endowed pious children with at Fatima in 1917.

(I suspect that Heaven also mentioned Nazi Germany in the Secrets, but the Vatican changed the word "Nazis" to "Russia" in some sentences before the release of the first Two Secrets in 1941. )

Actually is was Jimmy Carter that got the ball rolling, but it wound up with a deal to provide, fuel oil, food and reactor technology to the North Koreans for a promise not to develop nukes. Clinton signed off on the deal, with the full support of all of his advisers. The same morons on the talk shows blaming Bush. The deal had no provisions for monitoring North Korea's compliance with the deal. Which it is well documented that they continued the development of nukes and Clinton and his staff knew about it but let the shipments of aid continue.

Bush stopped the shipments but did nothing else. So there is blame enough to go around.

The whole mess could be solved very easily. By the Chinese. We just need to let them know that if they don't deal with North Korea, we are going to encourage the Japanese to rearm.

They are scared to death of a fully Armed Japan.

When the First World War was about to end, there poor children in a humble village in Portugal encountered Holy Lady from Heaven.

But every story for boys and girls should be ended when a hero or a heroine of the story has discovered that the world is not fair if he or she wins the heart of his or her own heroine or hero.

Necessity of life looks more important than an issue between good and evil. The church is demanding ultimately what is impossible. The Bible says that God loves the poor; but money does not love the poor. “Rich or poor” looks more important than “good or bad.”

In a story where ghosts, spirits, and magicians take active part but a crucial issue of good or evil is not sternly posed in a religious manner, you can enjoy being a hero or a heroine without a fear of encountering a messenger of God and facing the Last Judgment.

Finally, the Bible was written to save the world; Harry Potter was written to make money.

The Bible is not commercial goods; Harry Potter is commercial goods.

Authors of the Bible earned no money from writing; the author of Harry Potter earned big money as if the Devil had bought millions of copies of Harry Potter.

The Chinese Communist Party needs North Korea as a military defense line against the U.S., Japan, and South Korea.

The Chinese Communist leaders cannot accept one unified democratic and free Korea over the whole Korean Peninsula, since such a situation will pose a threat to China’s dictatorship.

If all the Koreans on the unified Korean Peninsula enjoy political and social freedom of the kind Japanese and Americans are enjoying, most of Chinese citizens will flee to Korea over the boarders.

In order to continue to control poor farmers and local citizens in China, the Chinese Communist Party wants North Korea to continue to function as a military defense line under despotism executed by the Kim family.

And, if the Kim family of North Korea claims that they have to still keep Japanese abductees to continue their military despotism, the Chinese Communist Party will give its consent.

Conversely, if the Chinese Communist Party thinks that the North Korea’s policy will badly influence their power base, Chinese leaders will strongly request North Korea to release Japanese abductees.

If North Korea is so resolutely requested by China to return Japanese abductees home, it will eventually obey the request, since the Kim family will face a fatal crisis in its physical existence without political, economic, and military support and assurance from China.

But, it is rather more realistic to think that China is resolutely requesting North Korea not to return Japanese abductees home, since China is afraid of establishment of a friendly relationship between Japan and North Korea.

SECTION III: JAPANESE LIBERALS

From late 1960’s when North Korea started to kidnap some Japanese and to late 1990’s when the Japanese media started to publish articles on Japanese abductees by North Korea, not only liberal politicians but also conservative politicians kept silence to or neglected the existence and the fact of the Japanese abductees cases.

Liberal politicians in Japan are actually those who belong to, or are associated with, the Japanese Communist Party and the Social Democratic Party.

Conservative politicians in Japan are those who belong to, or are associated with, the Liberal Democratic Party.

The reason for their decades-long silence on the North Korean act of terror, namely abductions, is, of course, money.

There are more than half a million North Korean residents in Japan, due to Japan’s occupation of the Korean Peninsula from the early 20th century until the end of WWII.

And, the major industry where North Korean residents in Japan are engaged as their profession is pinball parlors.

It is said that 70% of all the North or South Korean residents in Japan are running, or working in, pinball parlors whose market size reaches US$300 billions.

And, until a stern regulation was applied a few years ago, those North Korean residents in Japan, or specifically the pinball industry, had reportedly been sending big funds to North Korea to support the Kim Administration.

But, the big money earned in the pin-ball industry has been also channeled to Japanese politicians.

Japanese politicians, whether conservative or liberal, receive money from North Korean residents in Japan or the pin-ball industry, since they need much money for their political activities.

That is why not only liberal politicians but also conservative politicians kept silence to or neglected the existence and the fact of the Japanese abductees cases for decades.

That is why the then Prime Minister Mr. Jyunichiro Koizumi’s visit to North Korea, twice in 2002 and 2004, and his discussion with Mr. Kim Jong-IL about Japanese abductees were epoch-making beyond assessment on their success or failure.

In this context, Japanese liberals have been no use and no good with rescue of Japanese abductees.

Japanese liberals regard the U.S. as an enemy, and thus regard China and North Korea as friends.

That is why you cannot trust Japanese liberal journalists and critics in terms of human rights, including the Japanese abductees-by-North Korea case.

It is because they hate so much Mr. Jyunichiro Koizumi and Mr. George W. Bush since their short-sighted and selfish sense of justice can find evil only in their enemies in Japan and the U.S. while missing worse evil in China and North Korea; and their extreme hatred for the regimes in Japan and America makes them blind to horrible violence of human rights by the Chinese Communist Party and the Kim family of North Korea.

To solve the North Korean abduction-of-Japanese case, families of the victims and supporters for the families must first persuade Japanese liberals to change their view and abandon their hate for the Japanese Government and the U.S.

It is because the Kim family of North Korea will not change their policy and behaviors, if so many Japanese liberals are so much friendly to China and North Korea while hating so much the Japanese Government and the U.S.

In my observation, the ratio of speculation and other factors, including demands/supply relation, in contribution to a hike of crude oil prices is 90 to 10.

If somebody is arguing something based on findings of a US Senate Committee, you had better check it for real.

Today's oil prices are believed to be determined by the four Anglo-American financial companies-turned-oil traders, viz., Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, J P Morgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley. It is only they who have any idea about who is entering into oil futures or derivative contracts. It is also they who are placing bets on oil prices and in the process ensuring that the prices of oil futures go up by the day…

The answer to this question is fairly simple. After all, oil price is highly inelastic -- i.e. even a substantial increase in price does not alter the consumption pattern. No wonder, a mere 3-4 per cent annual global growth has translated into more than a 40 per cent annual increase in prices for the past three or four years.

But there is more to it. One may note that the world supply and demand is evenly matched at about 85 million barrels every day. Only if supplies exceed demand by a substantial margin can any downward pressure on oil prices be created. In contrast, if someone with deep pockets picks up even a small quantity of oil, it dramatically alters the delicate global demand-supply gap, creating enormous upward pressure on prices.

What is interesting to note is that the US strategic oil reserves were at approximately 350 million barrels for a decade till 2006. However, for the past year and a half these reserves have doubled to more than 700 million barrels. Naturally, this build-up of strategic oil reserves by the US (of 350 million barrels) is adding enormous pressure on the oil demand and consequently its prices.

Do the oil speculators know of this reserves build-up by the US and are indulging in rampant speculation? Are they acting in tandem with the US government? Worse still, are they bordering on recklessness knowing fully well that if the oil prices fall the US government will be forced to a 'Bears Stearns' on them and bail them out? One is not sure.

But who foots bill at such high prices? At an average price of even $100 per barrel, the entire cost for the purchase of this additional 350 million barrels by the US works out to a mere $35 billion. Needless to emphasise, this can be funded by the US by allowing it currency printing presses to work overtime. After all, it has a currency that is acceptable globally and people worldwide are willing to exchange it for precious oil.

No wonder Goldman Sachs predicts that oil will touch $200 to a barrel shortly, knowing fully well that the US government will back its prediction.

And, in the past three years alone the world has paid an estimated additional $3 trillion for its oil purchases. Oil speculators (and not oil producers) are the biggest beneficiaries of this price increase.

In the process, the US has been able to keep the value of the US dollar afloat -- perhaps at an extra cost of a mere $35 billion to its exchequer!

In short, the increase in the US strategic oil reserves has given a chance for big profits to speculators while the US Government can enjoy the highly maintained value of the dollar, which have all happened while Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, J P Morgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley are suffering a huge loss from the debacle of the housing loan market involving Fannie Mae and the like.



SECTION III: PEAK OIL & ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES

Nonetheless, Mr. Feldstein is right that a future prospect of a decrease in oil prices will lower the current oil prices.

Yet, everybody knows that a future prospect of an increase in oil prices is backed by the expected peak oil situation, namely the depletion of petroleum under the ground.

Consequently, what Mr. Feldstein is saying as a proof of his conscience is “after all, sooner or later the price of oil will be skyrocketed high in a decade or two due to peak oil looming over the horizon casting an eerie shadow to the whole world.”

But, it seems to be the right way to offer a future prospect of a decrease in oil prices in order to lower the current oil prices.

And I think it is very possible if governments in the world do the following:
(1) Declare that no more oil/coal fired power generation will be allowed.

(2) Declare that no more vehicles with an engine using only oil-based fuels will be allowed.

(3) Specifically, they have to set a goal that in 10 years, all the countries on the earth will close oil/coal fired power generation plants by replacing them with alternative electric generating systems.

(4) Specifically, they have to set a goal that in 10 years, all the cars on the earth will be driven by electric motors or hydrogen fuels, if not by wind power.

If governments in the world or at least the G8 Governments act along with the above scheme, the price of oils will sharply decrease and mankind can laugh at the threat of peak oil.

Today, it is a national holiday in Japan.

Yesterday, Sunday, I was sitting on a bench before a pond.

I heard two old men walking behind the bench asking an old staff of the park management to press a shutter button of a camera for them.

Another old man in a very summer fashion sitting on a bench off mine looked like somehow suspecting me as I wore a suit jacket.

I pulled out a camera from the pocket to take dragonflies flying busy on the surface of a big pond on a hot Sunday evening.

Indeed, this evening I may go to a public swimming pool nearby.



SECTION I: THE HOTTEST TOWN’S OMEN

Yesterday, a western Japanese town recorded a temperature at 38.2 degrees C or 100.76 degrees F, the hottest in this summer in Japan.

I have been once to this town in Ehime Prefecture on the Shikoku Island, some 800Km or 500 miles in the southwest of Tokyo.

There is a Mt. Fuji-like mountain in the town, though not so mighty-high at all.

Some Americans might still remember the Ehime-Maru tragedy that occurred in early 2001, (leading to the regime change in Japan to pave the way for Mr. Jyunichiro Koizumi's premiership so drastically).

Specifically in the tragedy, a Japanese fisheries high school had lost its training ship and some lives of students and sailors off the Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, due to a unavoidable collision with a US navy submarine with oil businessmen from Texas on board as civilian visitors to the submarine.

The Ehime-Maru, of course, was from the Ehime Prefecture.

This incident called the story "Moby Dick" to my mind, though, after the 9/11 Terror Attacks.

Early this year, the New York Times focused on Iraqi-War veterans who committed murders after leaving the military.

The New York Times found 121 cases in which veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan committed a killing in this country, or were charged with one, after their return from war. In many of those cases, combat trauma and the stress of deployment — along with alcohol abuse, family discord and other attendant problems — appear to have set the stage for a tragedy that was part destruction, part self-destruction.

Our men and women came home last night to a happy, welcoming crowd, who were more than pleased to see them and thank them for their service to our beloved country. Is the New York Times guilty of cursory reporting, or does the article simply highlight a truth that's hard to swallow? It's clear many veterans (at least those with an online presence) are outraged, but for others it's yet another wake up call that the war is never simply left on the battlefield for returning vets. One thing is certain: the dialog over this article has already gone way past the actual focus of murder to now include the very way veterans are seen in our society.

SECTION III: OVERESTIMATED MERIT OF THE U.S.　

In terms of intellectual and human properties, Japanese conservatives look more mature than Japanese liberals, since liberals in Japan mean those who would vote for, or come into line with, the Japanese Communist Party or the Japanese Social Democratic Party, if not North Korea.

Japanese Liberals love the 9/11 Conspiracy Theory no matter if they believe it or not, since they hate the U.S. just like some Japanese nationalists.

But, there is a special kind of conservatives who overestimate a merit of the U.S. so eccentrically.

First of all, they think that the rich and super rich Americans are cleverer than Japanese businessmen and politicians, since America is larger, richer, and militarily more advanced than Japan.

So, whenever the U.S. Government fails in diplomacy, economy, and national security, they think that the rich and smart American leaders have failed by intent or for a certain secret purpose.

When the U.S. Government is attacked by Islamic terrorists, they think that it cannot be possible that the rich and smart American leaders fail in protecting the nation; so, it must be playing their own work, namely a conspiracy.

When the U.S. Government is losing military and political hegemony globally as the sole superpower, they think that it cannot be possible that the rich and smart American leaders fail in protecting their hegemony; so, it must be playing their own work as they like multi-polar world than mono-polar world, namely pretending to be failing in bolstering the mono-polar dominance so far sustained with a little help from the U.K.

Yet, only with a few exceptions, those Japanese liberals and excessive admirers of the US economic and military power do not say that the subprime loan problem is what the US Government, namely, the Bush Administration has caused by intent or for a certain secret purpose, though Mr. George W. Bush might have been misinformed by Mr. Greenspan and Mr. Bernanke.

The fact is: The US leaders could not prevent the tragedy of the subprime loan problem, as they could not prevent the 9/11 Terror Attacks and the shift to multi-polar world, since these incidents are all inevitably on a trend of history their ability cannot cope with.

No American elites, including Bliderbergers, are smarter than history.

That is why President Mr. George W. Bush was very cooperative with Japanese Prime Minister Mr. Yasuo Fukuda in the recent G8 Summit Meeting held in Japan.

SECTION 1: QUALITY OF JAPANESE POLITICIANS

1-1. Mr. Hisayasu Nagata

It is a little surprise that English Wikipedia has an entry for Mr. Hisayasu Nagata, a former Japanese national lawmaker who resigned a few years ago taking responsibility for falsely or mistakenly accusing one of prominent politicians highly associated with the then Prime Minister Mr. Jyunichiro Koizumi of having accepted unethical funds, though indirectly, from the notorious Livedoor corporation.

The accusation Mr. Nagata made against the politician of the Liberal Democratic Party was soon found to be groundless, since he solely relied on an e-mail as a proof of the unethical funding which disappointingly turned out to be a very sad fake.

Mr. Nagata graduated from University of Tokyo, the so-called top university in Japan, and was employed by the Finance Ministry, the so-called top ministry in Japan, in 1993 as an elite official; he then ran for a national election successfully in 2000.

Despite his talent and ability in academic performance in school, he could not prove his common sense and ordinary morals of life in his career at the national legislative assembly of Japan (called the Diet).

His acting the fool on a big stage, being televised nationwide from the Diet, really harmed the reputation of the Democratic Party of Japan he belonged to, as I wrote in EEE Reporter when this incident happened.

This incident actually led to a regime change in the largest opposition party in Japan, forcing the then young and nationalistic head of the Party to resign, which however widened a chance for the Party to win in the subsequent national election held in the last summer. Consequently, the Democratic Party of Japan now enjoys a majority in the Upper House of the Diet.

It is a matter of course that English Wikipedia has an entry for Ms. Satsuki Katayama, one of prominent national lawmakers of Japan.

She graduated from University of Tokyo, the so-called top university in Japan, and was employed by the Finance Ministry, the so-called top ministry in Japan, in 1982 as an elite official.

Though an amount of descriptions about Ms. Satsuki Katayama in Wikipedia is less than those about Mr. Nagata and their careers look alike somehow, the past performance of Ms. Satsuki Katayama as an elite bureaucrat far surpasses that of Mr. Nagata. In short, Ms. Satsuki Katayama was two or three ranks above Mr. Nagata in the Finance Ministry, though she entered the political arena only in 2005 as the then Prime Minister Mr. Jyunichiro Koizumi strongly asked her to run for the General Election.

Since she was elected as a national lawmaker, she made many appearances on TV and other media to be one of the most popular female politicians in Japan.

Nonetheless she has recently faced a test of her common sense and ordinary morals of life.

It is because some female voters in her constituency were under a strong influence of a certain person very unfriendly to her.

But, one thing true is that a mistress of a politician should not have a political influence on voters in any countries in any time, since a politician has a duty to make a law which must protect a right of a wife against a mistress.

It will not be "Change" but the "Third World War (WWIII)" that must be an issue in the 2012 US Presidential Election, though, Your Royal Highness.



Q: Will the world suffer the Third World War?

A: According to the Gospel, the world will probably suffer it.

Q: What will be the state of WWIII, specifically? An all-out thermonuclear war?

A: According to the Gospel, probably not. Jesus Christ said not to go back to your house so as to retrieve anything left while fleeing.

Q: Are there any signs now for WWIII?

A: One crucial indication is that the UN Security Council has refused to admit Japan as a new permanent member, while Japan is the only major nation that has a pacifist constitution. The U.S., China, Russia, the U.K., and France are regarded as having admitted the Angel of War in lieu of Japan.

Q: Then again, what will be the state of WWIII, specifically?

A: It would probably start with a financial war, an energy-resources war, a foods war, a territorial war, and a war on terror in addition to a war around CO2.

Today’s minor wars on financial interests, energy resources, foods, territories, and terror (and invisibly around CO2) can develop and all converge into one chaotic global war.

If millions of Africans are neglected to death, millions of Muslims are neglected to death, millions of South Asians are neglected to death, millions of local Chinese are neglected to death, and millions of African Americans, Hispanics, Caribbeans, and Latin Americans are neglected to death all simply because they are too poor without any commercial value, we had better refer to it as WWIII rather than development and deployment of “global economy” based on the mesmerizing principle called “free market economics.”

Q: But nobody is talking about WWIII. Nobody thinks that WWIII will be set off.

A: That is it. That is the very situation where an unthinkable tragedy can happen in a large scale. Jesus Christ indeed said that a great tragedy could happen when nobody dreamed it.

Look at the figures of money the U.S. has been spending for its military build-up and military operations in these years.

Look at the figures of money China and Russia have been spending for its military build-up and military operations in these years.

Look at the figures of money Judaists and Muslims can raise for overt and covert military operations and acts of terror.

Look at the figures of electric power generated globally, cars being produced and driven globally, and demands for energy sources, and on the other hand the figures of remaining oil reserves and the rise of temperature as well as crazy figures all related to CO2.

Put simply, while the nature of the earth is being so much damaged by material desire of mankind, mankind is only preparing advanced technologies for military and finance purposes to apply to makeshift solutions.

The fundamentals are more leaning to WWIII than to Global Prosperity, since you cannot make the whole world like China, an autocratic state making many citizens richer but more citizens poorer and desperate without a means to change the regime due to harsh military government.

Q: How will WWIII proceed and end?

A: When everybody wishes and prays for the advent or the second coming of Jesus the Savior, WWIII will end.

Then after, I hope that mankind will live humbly forever without consuming much energy in a manner raising the global temperature dangerously without being fooled by CO2 any more.

Q: So, will it be a happy ending?

A: Until the last issue of good and evil is finally solved, we cannot assume that mankind has entered the last phase of its existence.

Does the God expect mankind to become all good by defeating all evil?

What is this game mankind has been thrown into?

The last thing to be solved is this good and evil issue. At least, there cannot be a happy ending if mankind lives materially and emotionally happily under the reign of evil.

Last night, a late-night TV news program in Japan picked up that cover page of The New Yorker, presenting the Obamas as the enemy of America in the Middle East fashion, since the online site of The New Yorker still puts it on the upper right corner of the screen.

Indeed, the emergence of Mr. Barack Obama on the stage of the general election for US Presidency is a big event since the Civil War from a racial point of view.

But, from outside the U.S., it also looks like indicating that the European-American racial group cannot offer any candidates from their group who can handle the present national problems and international issues as US President. In short, European-Americans must have difficulty in finding suitable personnel, which resembles the last days of the Roman Empire, in my humble view.

It is well known that the Roman Empire was full of Germanic soldiers and officers in its military in its final days.

Why was he named “Arou,” the notable Japanese translator of the French novel “The Little Prince?”

Arou Naito (1883 – 1977) had the father who, when he was young, namely 140 years ago, followed the then most prestigious samurai scholar of the Chinese classics Shonan Yokoi. So, it is natural that the father named his son based on his knowledge about the Chinese classics.

The name “Arou” is actually from an expression used in an ancient Chinese book called "Mencius."

In the book Mencius (called “Mou-shi” in Japanese), there is a story that tells an origin of the name “Arou.”

One day when Confucius (551 B.C. – 479 B.C.) and his disciples were walking along a river, they heard little children singing, "Let’s wash our feet when the river is full of murky waters! Let’s wash the string of a crown when the river is full of clean and clear water!"

The great ancient scholar Confucius said to his disciples, "It is the river itself that is requesting the feet or the string of a crown to be washed, according to its own will."

This short story was interpreted as teaching a need to live a life in accordance with state of the society. Live actively when the world is full of goodness; but retreat from the front line when the public mind is full of vice.

The moral lesson derived from this story is simply expressed in four Kanji letters: "Taku-ei Taku-soku" where "Taku" means “wash” ("Ei" meaning a string; "Soku" a foot).

The Japanese word "Arou" is a literary expression of “Arau” meaning "wash."

However more deeply we should ponder over the teaching of Confucius.

As he found truth in Children’s singing, it really matches the teaching of Jesus Christ: the holy meaning of things and events was hidden from smart adults but revealed to children.

All the words of Confucius can be interpreted as teaching excellent art of living well; but they do not stop there.

A fake saint whose largest desire is worldly success, even in the religious business, cannot spontaneously say, "It is the river itself that is requesting the feet or a crown to be washed, according to its own will," when he heard children singing, "Let’s wash our feet when the river is full of murky waters! Let’s wash the string of a crown when the river is full of clean and clear water!"

For example, you can regard a river as history and a foot or a crown as a greedy politician or a hero.

If history is God Himself, it truly can request a foot or a crown, namely a greedy politician or a hero for reasons mankind cannot fully comprehend.

From this point of view, you can understand why this era needs Mr. Barack Hussein Obama as a major candidate for the 2008 US Presidential Election.

Indeed, this era needs an African-American Presidential candidate after the era of Mr. George W. Bush who is a European American born rich and predisposed by his non-academic nature.

Yet, once the era needed Mr. George W. Bush after the era of Mr. Bill Clinton who was born commonly or mysteriously but cultivated his forward-looking personality to be elected as President together with academically intellectual Mr. Al Gore as Vice President.

Similarly, once the era needed Mr. Bill Clinton after the era of Mr. George H. W. Bush who was born rich and built his career through the oil business, US Congress, CIA, and the Vice President office as one of power elites through the Vietnam War and the Cold War.

Similarly, once the era needed Mr. George H. W. Bush after the era of Ronald Reagan who was born commonly but cultivated his lucky-bastard personality in the show business and a political community in California aiming at a shining house on a hill after the too confusing and somber eras of Richard Nixon and Mr. Jimmy Carter.

But, this era has been so much contaminated by money or precisely big money.

The US subprime loan problem is really laughing at the so-called material American Dream.

This era requests a change in the paradigm related to the American Dream. It must be spiritual rather than material.

US democracy should be respected from a spiritual point of view but not from a material point of view.

The violent torrent of huge money driven by material desire of 300 million US citizens must be controlled, regulated, and suppressed, since 100 million US consumers can default on $300,000 each, thus accumulating $30 trillion debts in total in theory.

However, this is beyond and over a financial scale that the U.S. Government or the US President alone can sufficiently or effectively handle to save the global economy.

The history or this era, or otherwise the river must request now politicians or heroes like The Little Prince, since Le Petit Prince respects truth and value so intangible or hidden from the eye of greedy politicians and smart power elites.
