"Take no thought for your life" - Fukushima Accident Verification

Around the Tokyo Station...

Fukushima Accident Verification

According to recent reports by the Japanese Media, the confirmed sequence of the Fukushima Daiichi accident is as follows:

The No.1 Reactor Unit
March 11, 2011:
14:46 - M9.0 Earthquake

15:30 - Great Tsunami

        - The Isolation Condenser starts malfunction.

19:00 - The reactor core starts to melt down.

March 12:
5:46 -  A fire engine starts to pour water into the reactor vessel.

15: 36 - Hydrogen explosion

------------------------------------------

The No.3 Reactor Unit
March 11, 2011:
14:46 - M9.0 Earthquake

15:30 - Great Tsunami

16:03 - The Reactor Core Isolation Cooling System starts to be manually operated.

March 12:
11:36 - The Reactor Core Isolation Cooling System halts.

12:35 - The High Pressure Core Injection System starts automatically.

March 13:
2:42 - The High Pressure Core Injection System is halted manually.

9:00 - The reactor core starts to melt down.

9:25 - A fire engine starts to pour water into the reactor vessel.

March 14:
11:01 - Hydrogen explosion

------------------------------------------

In summary, due to an accident if a cooling system of a nuclear reactor unit is stopped, the nuclear fuel inside the reactor unit starts to melt down within several hours after losing the fuel cooling function.  And, then hydrogen explosion occurs in a day or so after the start of meltdown even if some water is poured into the reactor unit with an ad-hoc means.

Now the big argument is going on in Japan as to whether there was a possibility or a chance to stop the hydrogen explosions that occurred on March 12 and March 14.  And, it is now investigated by a special committee set up by the parliament why Tokyo Electric Corporation (TEPCO), the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency, and the emergency response team led by the then Prime Minister Mr. Kan could not prevent the hydrogen explosions.

The High Pressure Core Injection System, The No.3 Reactor Unit

The Japanese Government renewed the radioactive contamination map:

Tokyo has narrowly escaped the radioactive material fallout, though northward neighboring Chiba Prefecture is somehow influenced.  Apparently Fukushima Prefecture suffers Cesium 134/137 fallout though higher-concentration is limited in the northwest area from the Fukushima Daiichi plant.

A Recent Aerial View of Fukushima Daiichi; the No.1 reactor unit is now covered by newly built outer walls.

The change in the temperature of the No.1, No.2, and No. 3 containment vessels and pressure vessels are as follows:
The temperature shifts in the No.1, 2, and 3 reactor units of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power generation plant from July 19 to November 17, 2011.

However, Fukushima Daiichi looked like being bombed after three hydrogen explosions in March.

Now, decontamination of cooling water being circulated is performed with various facilities.  Cesium absorbed-material was put in containment towers and stored on site.

Now let's review the shift of radiation doses measured in Tokyo after March 11, 2011:

http://chie-mitch.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/2011/03/post-95c3.html

So, it is not the No. 1 unit explosion on March 12 or the No. 3 unit explosion on March 14, but other events on March 15 and March 21.

The No.2 Reactor Unit
March 15:
00:00 - Vent is started.

06:10 - The suppression pool partially explodes with a pressure decrease.

08:25 - White smoke discharged from the 5th floor.

March 21:
18:22 - White smoke discharged from the ceiling.

19:01 - Smoke stops.

------------------------------------------

The No.3 Reactor Unit
March 15:
06:14 - Smoke is generated.

March 21:
15:55 - Grey smoke is delivered

16:49: - Grey smoke turns to white.

18:02 - Smoke stops.

------------------------------------------

The No.4 Reactor Unit
March 15:

06:14 - An explosion makes a hole on the reactor building wall.

09:38 - A fire on the third floor.

12:25 - The fire stops.

March 21:

(None)

------------------------------------------

As there were four days between March 11 and March 15, TEPCO and the Japanese Government should be questioned about their efforts to prevent a large-scale radioactive disaster.

If they had been able to handle the reactor units No.2, No.3, and No.4 to prevent any type of explosions and fires from them, there should not have been this scale of radiation dose problem around Fukushima Daiichi.

When a number N increases from 0 to 1, its value V can be expressed as follows:

V = N

But, when N becomes larger than 1, its value should be expressed as follows:

V = 1/N

The point at issue is that this method can apply to the human world.  When one's wealth increases from $0 to, say, $1000, its effective value V can be expressed as follows:

V = N

But, when N becomes larger than $1000, its value should be expressed as follows:

V = 1000 x (1000/N)

If you have $10,000, its effective value would be, $100 (= 1000 x 1000 / 10000).

But in the domain of N between $0 to $1000, the spiritual value should be further expressed as:

SV = 1/N

If you have $0, its spiritual value can be the infinite dollar.

"Herod, arrayed in royal apparel" - A Roman War

Tokyo, around the Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace

 A Roman War

Every Christian must know that Roman Emperor Valerian launched a large-scale oppression on Christians in the third century:
Valerian (Latin: Publius Licinius Valerianus Augustus;[1]193/195/200 – 260 or 264), also known as Valerian the Elder, was Roman Emperor from 253 to 260. He was taken captive by Persian king Shapur I after the Battle of Edessa, becoming the only Roman Emperor who was captured as a prisoner of war, resulting in wide-ranging instability across the Empire.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valerian_(emperor)
Valerian - Roman emperor (253-60). Member of a distinguished family, he had held several offices before the army proclaimed him emperor in 253 at Rhaetia. Weak and irresolute, his abilities were unequal to the difficulties of the times; his son and coregent, Gallienus, was lacking also in force. Christian tradition regards him as the originator of the persecution of the Christians under Decius. Though kindly disposed towards the Christians as emperor he was driven to in severe measures by the hostile party, whose leader, the general Macrianus, aimed only to gain advantages for himself through the difficulties internal disturbances would cause the emperor. In 257 Valerian issued a rescript, in kindly language, taking from Christians the right to hold assemblies or to enter the subterranean places of burial, and sending the clergy into exile. In 258, by a new and absolutely merciless edict, bishops, priests, and deacons were executed immediately, men of senatorial and equestrian rank were punished with degradation and confiscation of goods to be followed by death if they refused to offer heathen sacrifice, women were threatened with confiscation of their property and exile, and Christians in the imperial household were sent in chains to perform forced labour on the imperial domains. In this persecution Christian Rome and Carthage lost their leaders: Pope Sixtus was seized on 6 August, 258, in one of the Catacombs and was put to death; Cyprian of Carthage suffered martyrdom on 14 September. Another celebrated martyr was the Roman deacon, St. Lawrence. In Spain Bishop Fructuosus of Tarragona and his two deacons were put to death on 21 January, 259. There were also executions in the eastern provinces (Eusebius, VII, xii). Taken altogether, however, the repressions were limited to scattered spots and had no great success. Valerian was finally captured by the Persians and died a prisoner. Macrianus and his two sons were killed in the struggle for the throne. Gallienus, who became Valerian's successor, annulled at once all his father's laws hostile to Christianity.

Valerian is historically more unique as captured emperor in the Battle of Edessa:
The Battle of Edessa took place between the armies of the Roman Empire under the command of Emperor Valerian and Sassanid forces under Shahanshah (King of the Kings) Shapur I in 259. In this battle, the Sassanids crushed the entire Roman army, while suffering minimal losses.
...
Shapur I defeated and captured Emperor Valerian, along with many other high ranking officials, though not much is known about the battle itself. The outcome of the battle was an overwhelming Persian victory, with the entire 70,000-strong Roman force being slain or captured. This compared starkly to the minimal number of Persian casualties.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Edessa

This place Edessa is also a very unique place:
According to Christian legend, the Image of Edessa was a holy relic consisting of a square or rectangle of cloth upon which a miraculous image of the face of Jesus was imprinted — the first icon ("image").
...
According to the legend, King Abgar of Edessa wrote to Jesus, asking him to come cure him of an illness. Abgar received an answering letter from Jesus, declining the invitation, but promising a future visit by one of his disciples. This legend was first recorded in the early 4th century by Eusebius of Caesarea,[1] who said that he had transcribed and translated the actual letter in the Syriac chancery documents of the king of Edessa, but who makes no mention of an image.[2] Instead, the apostle "Thaddaeus" is said to have come to Edessa, bearing the words of Jesus, by the virtues of which the king was miraculously healed.

The report of an image, which accrued to the legendarium of Abgar, first appears in the Syriac work, the Doctrine of Addai: according to it, the messenger, here called Ananias, was also a painter, and he painted the portrait, which was brought back to Edessa and conserved in the royal palace.[3]
The first record of the existence of a physical image in the ancient city of Edessa (now Urfa) was in Evagrius Scholasticus, writing about AD 600, who reports a portrait of Christ, of divine origin (θεότευκτος), which effected the miraculous aid in the defence of Edessa against the Persians in 544.[4] The image was moved to Constantinople in the 10th century. The cloth disappeared from Constantinople during the Fourth Crusade [Sack of Constantinople] in 1204, reappearing as a relic in King Louis IX of France's Sainte Chapelle in Paris. It finally disappeared in the French Revolution.[citation needed]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_of_Edessa

In summary, there was a Roman emperor who suppressed Christians so bad but was defeated in a mysterious way against Persians in the battle of Edessa which could be mysteriously connected to the Shroud of Turin.  But what about the Persian King who defeated Valerian.
Shapur I or also known as Shapur I the Great was the second Sassanid King of the Second Persian Empire. The dates of his reign are commonly given as 240/42 - 270/72, but it is likely that he also reigned as co-regent (together with his father) prior to his father's death in 242 (more probably than 240).[2]
...
Shapur conquered Armenia, invaded Syria, and plundered Antioch. Eventually, the Emperor Valerian (253–260) marched against him and by 257, Valerian had recovered Antioch and returned the province of Syria to Roman control. In 259, Valerian moved to Edessa, but an outbreak of plague killed many and weakened the Roman troops defending the city which was then besieged by the Persians. In 260, Valerian arranged a meeting with Shapur to negotiate a peace settlement but was betrayed by Shapur who seized him and held him prisoner for the remainder of his life.[8] Shapur advanced into Asia Minor, but was driven back by defeats at the hands of Balista, who captured the royal harem. Septimius Odenathus, prince of Palmyra, rose in his rear, defeated the Persian army and regained all the territories Shapur had occupied. Shapur was unable to resume the offensive and lost Armenia again.[9]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shapur_I

King Shapur I supported Manichaeism, though he later adopted Zoroastrianism:
Manichaeism was one of the major Iranian Gnostic religions, originating in Sassanid Persia.
Although most of the original writings of the founding prophet Mani (c. 216–276 AD) have been lost, numerous translations and fragmentary texts have survived. Manichaeism taught an elaborate cosmology describing the struggle between a good, spiritual world of light, and an evil, material world of darkness.

Through an ongoing process which takes place in human history, light is gradually removed from the world of matter and returned to the world of light from which it came. Its beliefs can be seen as a synthesis of Christianity, Zoroastrianism and Buddhism.

In Japan, still many discussions have been made  on TV about the effect of Kim Jong Il's death.

The focus is on his son who has virtually succeeded the supreme position of North Korea.  But he is too young to lead the nation.

Some South Korean expert has predicted that North Korea will face a kind of crisis with the new nominal leader Mr. Kim Jong Un.

One thing for sure is that the new leadership will not make full efforts to save poor children, poor women, the poor old, and other poor people of North Korea like the regime of Kim Jong Il.  They must face the wrath of God.

Mat 12:18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
Mat 12:19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
Mat 12:20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
Mat 12:21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

There are some analysis on Korean unification:

Study Sees Gains in Korean Unification
By EVAN RAMSTAD
SEOUL -- A united South and North Korea could boast an economy larger than France, Germany and possibly Japan by the middle of the century, according to a Goldman Sachs Group Inc. study that challenges conventional wisdom about unification.
Since the reunification of West and East Germany 20 years ago, South Korean leaders and economists have convinced many people here that reuniting with North Korea would be costly and disruptive. In the latest gloomy forecast, a government think tank last month said the tax-burden ratio, or proportion of tax revenue to gross domestic product, would need to rise by two percentage points and stay at that level for 60 years to pay for unification.
...
Today, South Korea's GDP is about $800 billion and North Korea's is believed to be around $20 billion, though no data has been collected in the North since the 1960s. Some economists say they believe its output is considerably less, while others note that most estimatesleave out the North's well-known illicit activities such as producing narcotics and counterfeing currency.
...
Recent surveys show unification will be a hard sell in South Korea. In one done by the state-funded National Unification Advisory Council in March, only 45% of respondents said unification is very important.

Prospects from Korean Unification
Authored by Colonel, Australian Army David Coghlan. | April 2008
Throughout the 1990s, predictions of Korean reunification were rife. Since then, enthusiasm for such predictions have faded, and although the underlying assumption of reunification remains, forecasts of when and how this will occur have been more subdued...
As such, with the current course of events, China holds and will do so for the foreseeable future the initiative to influence events on the Korean Peninsula. By underwriting North Korea, China secures its strategic buffer, allowing a stable environment in which trade and investment with South Korea can flourish, while at the same time and at the expense of the United States, Beijing gains kudos and influence among South Koreans. However, the wildcard of war, which would most likely result in consolidation of American influence over a unified Korea, is Beijing's worst scenario...
This situation has come about because of Washington?s declining influence on the peninsula primarily due to its inconsistent policy approach toward Korea, and on the reunification issue in particular. Conversely, Chinese Korean policy appears successful to the extent that should events continue on their current course, the United States faces a distinct possibility of a unified Korea tilting toward Beijing...
The current Japanese approach to Korean reunification and beyond is counterproductive to Tokyo?s long-term objectives involving Korea. This can only be resolved through policy change that allows Japan to reconcile with its history and to effectively address Korean concerns in this area. Japan should then embark upon a range of initiatives toward Korea that seeks to build trust between the two countries, including a commitment to finance a substantial amount toward the cost of the post-unification rebuild of Korea. However, Japan has to be realistic and hedge its bets should a unified Korea lean toward China. Tokyo needs to actively pursue a closer alliance with the Washington...
Meanwhile Russia is quietly working at regaining lost influence on the peninsula to ensure its own security and position itself to take advantage of significant economic opportunities that reunification of the peninsula would present. As such, Moscow supports the status quo and, should reunification occur, Russia would prefer, as a hedge against China, a unified Korea that tilts toward Washington...
Such a commitment should include a pledge of significant financial support toward the cost of rebuilding a unified Korea; this is one of the few areas where China will be unable to compete with the United States. If successful, such policies can demonstrate to the Korean people that the United States, rather than China, offers them the best strategic partnership for a post-unified Korea. However, given current prospects, this will not be easy.

There are two grave underlying or hidden political movements in Japan.

One is linked with North Korea.  It is also related to South Korea and China.  They have a complicated mind set against Japan.  Japan is bigger and stronger than any force in Asia except the U.S.  Even China's economic success was only possible by relying on Japan.  Yet, they know they can get profits to pretend challengers to Japan.  Or some of them have found an only effective strategy in pretending a challenger against Japan to get profits in a hugely unbalanced relationship with Japan.

Another is a kind of nationalist Japanese who abuse Japanese sense of superiority over Chinese and Koreans.  They always try to arouse Japanese sentiments and anger against rude and selfish Koreans and Chinese.  They try to look strong supporters for the Imperial Family.  But they can be divided into three: pro-American, anti-American, and opportunistic.

But ordinary citizens find a kind of gangsters in both the movements.  And it is suspected that the same dark force is behind both the movements.  If you do not respect a kind of revolutionary Japanese who are tied up with anti-Japanese Koreans and Chinese, you might face a violent attack of a kind of terror.  If you do not respect the "so-called Japanese nationalists," you might face a violent attack of a kind of terror.

That is why most of the Japanese people do not like pro-Korean/pro-Chinese movement and the so-called selfish nationalist/imperial movement.

For example, some stupid so-called nationalist calls any Japanese they dislike "Korean."  Any stupid nationalistic Japanese who calls a Japanese "Korean" should leave Japan leaving his nationality of being Japanese.

Luk 12:16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
Luk 12:17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
Luk 12:18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
Luk 12:19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
Luk 12:20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

"he called Lazarus out of his grave" - Japanese Humanitariasm of Samurai Era

Tokyo...

[Updated on Dec. 19, 2011]

Japanese Humanitariasm of Samurai Era

The most popular samurai hero at the end of the samurai era or before the Meiji Restoration of the Imperial Authority in Japan of the middle of the 19th century is admittedly Sakamoto Ryoma.

The last samurai regime run by the Tokugawa clan faced strong pressure from the US to open the nation.  The Tokugawa regime found it was impossible to continue to close the door to the world, though it was a traditional policy of  the Tokugawa Shogun family since the early 17th century to block a Chrisitian influence from Europeans.  So, the Tokugawa Shogun (shogun means the head of all the samurai clans) as the king of Japan concluded a diplomatic treaty with the U.S.   But, some samurai lords and their subordinate samurais were against this policy change.  Eventually, two major samurai states (Chosyu and Satsuma) tied up to establish  allied forces against the Tokugawas.  They fought a decisive civil war against the Tokugawa Shogun and its subordinate samurai lords while taking the imperial family and other noble people into their camp.  Though France and the UK tried to interfere with this war to sell weapons and get diplomatic advantage, the civil war was rather ended with minimum bloodshed, since the Tokugawa Shogun admitted supremacy and traditional authority of the imperial family and surrendered before a possible great battle in Edo (Tokyo), the then samurai capital.   Then, in 1868, a new modern regime was established in Japan, which is called the Meiji Restoration.  The samurai era had gone forever in Japan.

Sakamoto Ryoma, a samurai who deserted a feudal state and a samurai lord he originally belonged to to become a freelance revolutionary samurai, contributed to this sequence of historical events.  He worked to unify the forces of Chosyu and Satsuma.  Sakamoto also proposed a political idea to pave the way for the Tokugawa Shogun to step down from the position of the Shogun to be one of subject lords to the emperor on the equal basis to other samurai lords who governed their own territories or states.  Though Ryoma was assassinated in Kyoto before the fall of the Tokugawa regime, his feat was remembered and respected by other samurai heroes who survived the disturbed and dangerous days to be elite officials of the modern Meiji Government.  So, even today, Sakamoto Ryoma is a very popular historical figure in Japan.

In 1864, Sakamoro Ryoma visited Yokoi Shonan, a samurai scholar in a local state of Kyusyu.  Yokoi gave a lecture to Ryoma about a new political idea.  Ryoma later developed this idea to form his proposal for Tokugawa's stepping down from the sovereignty over Japan to transfer power to the emperor, if nominal.

Yokoi Shonan in 1850's, when Japan was still under the governance by Tokugawa Shogun, traveled all over Japan to observe the effect of a great famine which prevailed at the time.  He thought that if a samurai lord had practiced high virtue as Confucianism taught, people should have been saved.  To verify this philosophy he checked the actual condition of various samurai states.  Yet, he saw many farmers starving to death in various regions in a politically disturbed state of the Japanese society at the time.  But in Kyoto he did not see any starvation victims.  He studied the reason to find that a certain humanitarian philosophy had been well practiced in Kyoto.  People in Kyoto cooperated well to save the poor.  They formed some social system to help  the poor based on sense of charity rooted in Buddhism, Confucianism, and Shinto.

After returning to his own state in Kumamoto, Kyusyu, he helped his lord to reform the financial and political systems of the state.  His learnt wisdom was so advanced that many samurai activists of the era from all over Japan came to Kummamoto to take lessons from him, like Sakamoto.  As his talent was widely admitted, Yokoi was invited to the Meiji Government after the fall of the Tokugawa samurai regime.  But, Yokoi was assassinated in Kyoto before he fully exerted his talent in the new government in Tokyo.  It is said that Yokoi was killed by ex-samurai who believed a false accusation against Yokoi Shonan that Yokoi was trying to make Japan a Christian country.
The Meiji Restoration of the Imperial Authority directly led to the establishment of the Empire of Japan.  This Empire could not avoid the Japan-US War in 1941 which ended with the Horishima/Nagasaki stomic bomb attacks by the US military.  From the beginning, the Empire of Japan was bloody since it was a product of the civil war between two samurai camps, the Tokugawa side and the anti-Tokugawa side led by the Satsuma clan and the Chosyu clan.  But it also included various episodes and heroes such as Sakamoto Ryoma and Yokoi Shonan in addition to some humanitarian practices in Kyoto.

"they were astonished" - Miracles

Tokyo...

Miracles by Christ Jesus

Probably, Christ Jesus behaved or acted naturally, but people saw miracles there.
There are 18 miracles of Jesus recorded in the Gospel according to Mark. Only one of them is unique to Mark. The other three Gospel records also contain miracles of Jesus not reported in other accounts, besides references to miracles that do appear in one or more other Gospel records. Matthew has 21 miracles of Jesus, two of which are unique to Matthew; Luke has 18 miracles of Jesus, five of which are unique to Luke; John has seven miracles of Jesus, five of which are unique to John. The miracles of Jesus recorded in Mark are:
1. The Man with an Unclean Spirit (1:23-26; cf. Luke 4:33-35)
2. Healing Simon's Mother-in-law (1:30-31; cf. Luke 4:38-39)

The point at issue is that the number of miracles reported in the Gospels is too small.

If Christ Jess traveled preaching for two years, there must have been 730 miracles on the assumption of one miracle per day (365 x 2 = 730).  Then if each Gospel writer had discretion to take up 20 to 30 miracles from 730 to use in each version, there must have been more variations among them in terms miracles Christ Jesus performed.

This is a big mystery in Christianity and the Bible: "Too few miracles reported."

In comparison, for example, there are almost 1000 proverbs mentioned in the Book of the Proverbs.  The number of miracles of Christ Jesus so reported seem to be too scarce.

Act 12:16 But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished.
Act 12:17 But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place.
