Between the start of suicide bombings in the recent past, carried out by Hizbollah in Lebanon in the early 1980s, and the beginning of the twenty-first century, some 200 suicide attacks took place around the world. A dramatic increase in suicide terrorism around the world began in early 2000, and overall some 3,500 suicide attacks have taken place over the last three decades.

Suicide Bombings in Afghanistan, Pakistan Have Soared in Decade Since 9/11

According to the ICM data the decade’s total for Pakistan is 4,681 people killed in 289 suicide attacks.

Afghanistan has followed a similar trend: Between 2001 and 2004, six suicide attacks occurred, at the cost of 12 lives; in 2005 the number of attacks climbed to 17 (39 fatalities) and in 2006 it soared to 136 attacks (272 people killed).

One hundred and eighty-three people were killed in 116 suicide attacks in 2007; 725 died in 146 attacks in 2008: 140 attacks in 2009 killed 1,054 people; and in 2010, 1,141 people were killed in 140 attacks.

The first eight months of this year have brought 35 suicide attacks, and 329 deaths, with July and August particularly deadly months. The latest such attack, targeting a private security firm in Kandahar province, took place on Sunday.

The total for Afghanistan over the decade since 9/11 is 736 suicide attacks, and 3,755 lives lost.

Statistical security: more than 2000 Arabic blew himself up in Iraq

BAGHDAD / obelisk: a senior security source revealed on Tuesday that the statistical security readied for a number of suicide bombers who blew themselves Arabs in Iraq, confirming they were in 2145, among the ten countries they represent.
The source said in an interview for "obelisk", "The number of Palestinians who Fajjua their bodies in Iraq 1201 Palestinians, while the total number of Saudis who Fajjua their bodies 300 Saudis in Iraq." 

The source, who asked not to be named, said that "the Syrians Bulbg 200 bombers Syria, while the total number of Yemenis who Fajjua their bodies in Iraq 250 Yemenis."
He continued, "either from Tunisia, the number of suicide bombers, 44 people, while a suicide bomber blew himself up 90 Egyptian nationals."
He also said, "as a suicide bomber blew himself up 40 Libyan nationals, while the statistical security showed that 20 bomber carrying nationalities and the United Arab Emirates and Qatar Bahrain".
The source added that "these statistics include the number of Arab suicide bombers who blew themselves up in different areas in Iraq in 2014," noting that "suicide bombers, representing ten Arab countries."

In 2003, the United States military invaded Iraq. There were 25 suicide bombings executed by 32 attackers over the course of the year. 

2004: 140 suicide bombings[edit]
In 2004, the number of suicide bombings increased dramatically. Iraq saw heavy combat at the violent First and Second Battles of Fallujah. 

2005: 478 suicide bombings[edit]
In 2005, Iraq held its first elections since the fall of the Saddam Hussein regime. Meanwhile, suicide bombings spiked, with 478 suicide bombings over the course of the year. 

2006: 297 suicide bombings[edit]
In 2006, sectarian strife dominated Iraq, although the overall number of suicide bombings fell. The deadliest attack of the war to that point occurred on November 23 in Sadr City. 

2007: 442 Suicide Bombings[edit]
In 2007, the United States executed the Iraq War troop surge of 2007. Meanwhile, 442 suicide bombings occurred, one of the highest yearly total since the war began. 

2008: 257 Suicide Bombings[edit]
In 2008, following the troop surge, the number of suicide bombings dropped somewhat, with 257 attacks occurring. 

2009: 76 Suicide Bombings[edit] 

In 2009, 76 suicide bombings occurred – the fewest since 2003. On June 30, 2009, American troops formally withdrew from Iraqi cities and towns, handing over control to Iraqi security forces. The United States is now the only foreign nation with troops in Iraq, following Australia's July 2009 withdrawal.

But it is not only due to the American War on Terror that has brought about this crazy incidents, but also due to the Israeli policy to defend itself from some Arabs.

However, even the situation in Israel seems to be influenced and aggravated by the 9/11 Terror and the subsequent War on Terror.

Indeed, so ominously the 21st century or the third millennium began with the 9/11 Terror on the US, though the causes of it could be traced back to the 1990 to 1991 Gulf War or further to the Soviet War in Afghanistan (1978-1989) and the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988).

Otherwise, it could be traced back to the wars having been fought by Israel in 1948, 1956, 1967, and 1973.

In a future history textbook, these suicide bombings could be interpreted as an ill omen to a large scale of tragedy that is to fall on mankind.

We have to stop them for real.  The God must be highly angry.

So, at least all the Judaists, Christians, and Muslims should be called to account.

Indeed, at the start of 2000s, when Mr. W. Bush was elected as president, the US was not suffering the War on Terror and the Financial Crisis.  With Mr. Obama assuming office of presidency, the two crises started to look like being conquered and controlled.

However, during these 15 years, the international landscape has changed clearly.  In the economic aspect, China has become a major player internationally; concerning global security, the Arab Spring is now turning to fear for ISIS.  In addition, the old concerns about Russia and Israel have gravely surfaced again.  Moreover, Ebola can be a new global threat.

Everything changes, but the words of God remain unchanged.  But, we may really enter the era of  the Apocalypse, though the US is not likely going to ruin economically or militarily.

Nonetheless, spiritually we, the humankind, might be proceeding to a decisive juncture.

The following are 35 statistics about the working poor in America that will blow your mind...
#1 According to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 146 million Americans are either "poor" or "low income". 

#2 According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 57 percent of all American children live in a home that is either "poor" or "low income". 

#3 Back in 2007, about 28 percent of all working families were considered to be among "the working poor".  Today, that number is up to 32 percent even though our politicians tell us that the economy is supposedly recovering.

Conversely, as poor people are kinder and more humane than the rich.  The spiritual environment in the US must be improved along with an increase of the ratio of poor people.  The more the US has poor citizens, the better their society will be.

However, does this trend of an increase in poor people in the US contribute to improvement of the world?  Has it only contributed to enrichment of some Chinese and Indians?

Or as long as some African Americans and Hispanics are getting rich due to expansion of poverty among European Americans, President Obama can secure his position and popularity well?

We may hope that someday poor Muslims in the world will be saved and rescued from their economic and political plights along with further expansion of poverty in the US as well as the EU.

But there are some paragraphs we cannot easily understand without knowing contexts in which they were written.

The Gospel of Thomas is regraded as secondary material in relation to the Gospels of Mark, Luke, Mathew, and John.  But, the former seems to include reliable words as much as the so-called Q source, the possible underlying document for the latter four Gospels.

(The Vatican should have checked all the paragraphs to recommend some as true words of Christ Jesus.  But, if the Pope lost holy ability to find holy words of their Lord, it is no wonder that the Vatican has simply neglected the Gospel of Thomas.)

But, would anybody write this Gospel, including some strange or crazy paragraphs, to harm Christianity or dupe people in days as early as the second century?  For example, who today can accept the following one as holy: (105) Jesus said, "He who knows the father and the mother will be called the son of a harlot."

There are still mysteries in the Gospel of Thomas.

A Japanese Sightseer in Israel

Once a Japanese youth, a graduate student in Tokyo, traveled to Israel just before leaving a university and starting to work in an engineering company.

It was just before the 9/11 Terror of 2001.

He arrived at Israel via Istanbul and secured an accommodation of a dormitory style in a cheap hotel in Tel Aviv (tough he later moved to a dormitory inn in Jerusalem).  Then he started sight-seeing.

The reason for his decision to visit Israel so suddenly is a book written by a Japanese Catholic author.  He was magically impressed with a story flavored with Christianity in which he had had no interest before reading the book.  By then, he had a plenty of experiences of traveling abroad; during his days in the university he made an overseas trip many times, mostly with his friends.  But this time he was alone.

He went around Jerusalem, Jericho, Masada, the Dead Sea, Gethsemane, the Mount of Olives, and so on.  He occasionally happened to meet and communicate personally with a young couple from New Zealand, a medical student of Germany, young men from North Europe, in addition to a Japanese married couple and even a Japanese female student.  He also encountered a sly guide and a wily taxi driver.

Though his stay around Jerusalem was almost coincident with the visit to Israel by the Pope, he did not observe any ceremonial and welcome atmosphere in the street of Jerusalem and some historic churches.

Finally he entered a restaurant before leaving the holy land.  He found that a waitress there was South Korean.  Indeed, he sometimes saw a few groups of South Korean Christians while he was doing sightseeing here and there.  A manager of the restaurant realized that he was Japanese, and said, "I know a Japanese learning Hebrew here.  If you don't mind, I can call him."

So, a strange Japanese came to the restaurant with the Bible in the hand.  He said, "I am learning Hebrew here to be a priest.  My mentor in Japan, who is a priest, sent me here.  I am expected to master Hebrew to be a kind of scholar.  As I live near here, the master calls me when a Japanese guest visits this shop as a kind of hospitality for us."

The Japanese sightseer confessed that he came to Israel because he had read a book of a certain famous Catholic author, which he had never revealed to anybody since he came to Israel.  And he asked the young scholar why he was learning Hebrew only to become a priest while he graduated from the School of Divinity of a Japanese university.

During such a conversation, the young Hebrew learner from Japan said humbly that it was love of Christ that had moved him the most strongly.  And when they were about to get apart, this future priest said to the traveler from the same country, "Please read the Bible sometime."
     
Then, the Japanese graduate student left for an airport of Tel Aviv to finally put an end to his five or six-day stay in Israel.   But it would take about 18 hours to get back to Japan.  He wanted something to read in jet planes.  After poking around a book corner in the airport, he finally selected a book titled "The Children's Bible."
     
He graduated from the graduate school to start to work in an engineering company.  But he spent two months, while working, to write his memory of his last traveling abroad in his university days, namely the sight-seeing trip to Israel.  He eventually posted it on the Internet.


Around 2002 when the US air force was bombing Afghanistan, he was stationed in an overseas office of the company in Pakistan.  He wrote something on the Internet in English about how he was opposed to the American bombing.  As the US wanted to capture or kill Osama bin Laden, American military planes should not involve and kill Afghan civilians by air raids, but should use only ground troops to chase Osama, he also wrote.  

I don't know if he has visited Israel again.

In October 2004, a Japanese youth was killed in Iraq by AlQaeda associated terrorists.

Then Prime Minister of Japan Koizumi refused a request from the terrorists to withdraw Japanese Self-Defense troops stationed in southern Iraq for helping reconstruction of local communities, though the Japanese Government reportedly paid a ransom to rescue three Japanese, a journalist and peace activists, from captivity by anti-American terrorists in April 2004.

Shosei Koda (November 1979 – October 2004) was a Japanese citizen who was kidnapped and later beheaded in Iraq on 29 October 2004, by Zarqawi's group, while touring the country. He was the first Japanese person beheaded in Iraq.

Koda's parents were members of the United Church of Christ.[2]　For this reason, he had a cross tattoo on his arm.[3] The family was from Nogata, a small southern city in Japan.[4] His mother's occupation is a nurse.[4] Koda dropped out of high school in his junior year, then started to work as a house painter until 2002.

Koda left Amman on 20 October 2004.[4] He ignored advice not to travel to Iraq, and entered the country because he wanted to know what was happening there.

Koda's captors stated that they would "treat him like his predecessors Berg and Bigley"[7] (Bigley was murdered just weeks before by the organization, before being known as Al Qaeda in Iraq) if Japan did not withdraw its forces from Iraq within 48 hours. The Japanese government headed by Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi refused to comply with these demands, stating that they will not concede to terrorists.[8]

In the video sequence of Koda's murder, Koda sits on the American flag, his captors standing behind him. Koda's hands are tied behind his back. He is blindfolded while a captor reads a speech for two minutes and ten seconds. The captors then hold him down on the ground as they begin to decapitate him.

Koda's body was returned to Japan.[9] His death provoked mixed responses in Japan. While many Japanese citizens were angered and appalled by the murder, some blamed the victim and others criticized the Koizumi administration.

According to an author who wrote a book about Mr. Koda, he first flew from Japan to Christchurch, New Zealand, to learn English.  After going to an English school there for months, he traveled to Israel alone.  He was a backpacker, though it was his first wandering abroad.

Mr. Koda stayed in a cheap hotel in Tel Aviv.  While staying there, he often watched TV at a hall.  He asked many questions of a young manager of the hotel while watching political news.  The manager himself had been once a backpacker.  So, they could communicate well.  And, it seems that this episode was a key to understanding why Mr. Koda traveled to Baghdad.  

When Mr. Koda arrived at Israel, he didn't make an objection against an entry stump being put on his passport.  He did not intend to travel to Arab countries.  He planned to just spend a month or two in Israel, though he had not much money at all.

It was a year and a half after the US invasion of Iraq, and it was time when the situation in Iraq looked well controlled by US military power.  For reference, Saddam Hussein was arrested in December 2003 and held in a jail at the time.  There were other Japanese youths who entered Iraq in the period.  Mr. Koda was the only Japanese victim as a tourist in Iraq.

It is now believed that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, an AlQaeda linked terrorist leader in Iraq, was responsible for the murder of Mr. Koda.  However, Zarqawi was killed by a US air raid in June 2006.  And, since then, this tragic episode of Mr. Koda in Iraq seems to be gradually forgotten by the Japanese public. 

The lesson is that as ISIS has killed so many innocent civilians, including Americans, Englishmen, and a Frenchman, their leaders should be surely taken on like Zarqawi.

Let's briefly check the RFK Assassination.

The assassination of Robert Francis "Bobby" Kennedy, a United States Senator and brother of assassinated President John Fitzgerald "Jack" Kennedy, took place shortly after midnight on June 5, 1968, in Los Angeles, California, during the campaign season for the United States Presidential election, 1968.

There are reasons why RFK was assassinated by an organization or a group of bad guys but not by a single oddball named Sirhan.

Just as in the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., many people believe there was also a conspiracy involved in the murder of Robert Kennedy. For Robert Kennedy's assassination, there seem to be three main conspiracy theories that are based on inconsistencies found in the evidence against Sirhan Sirhan. 

The first conspiracy involves the location of the fatal shot. Los Angeles Coroner Thomas Noguchi conducted the autopsy on Robert Kennedy's body and discovered that not only had Kennedy died from the shot that entered just below and behind his right ear, but that there were scorch marks around the entry wound. This meant that the shot must have come from behind Kennedy and that the muzzle of the gun must have been within an inch or so of Kennedy's head when it was fired. By nearly all accounts, Sirhan had been in front of Kennedy and had never gotten closer than several feet. Could there have been a second shooter?

Of course, it is natural to think that the assassination of RFK was linked with that of JFK.  If Robert Kennedy should become US President, he would have most probably pursue the truth of the JFK Assassination to revenge himself for the murder of his elder brother.

Who had a motive?

Who hated Bobby Kennedy enough to have him murdered? RFK began to accrue enemies during his brother's presidency (when he served as attorney general). Both Kennedys angered some of the most powerful individuals or groups in America, including:

* the Mafia, who'd been the victim of the administration's unprecedented crackdown on organized crime (RFK had actually deported New Orleans Mafia boss Carlos Marcello)

* FBI director J. Edgar Hoover, who'd been forced by the attorney general to go after the Mafia (Hoover had denied for years that organized crime existed and preferred to concentrate on eliminating "communists")

* elements of the CIA, who'd participated in the 1961 attempt to overthrow Fidel Castro at the Bay of Pigs (the Kennedy brothers who felt they'd been misled by the CIA about the strength of Castro's forces refused to send air support when the invaders met powerful resistance; afterwards, JFK fired CIA director Allen Dulles, and Bobby Kennedy took on a role in CIA policy that was anathema to some of the most swashbuckling CIA veterans)

The old animosities only increased when RFK announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination. Both his old enemies and several new ones had a lot to lose from an RFK presidency. That list included:

* ex-Teamsters boss Jimmy Hoffa, whom RFK, as attorney general, had sent to prison for jury tampering (if RFK became president, Hoffa would have had to serve his entire thirteen year sentence, but President Nixon pardoned him)

* right-wing and racist groups, like the Ku Klux Klan, who feared RFK's strong commitment to civil rights

* Southern California ranchers who feared Kennedy's support of César Chavez and the United Farm Workers Union-and who, according to an FBI report, had once put out a $500,000 contract on RFK's life (if the union leaders succeeded in organizing thousands of farm workers, the ranchers' profits and power would plummet)

* hard-line cold warriors in the military and intelligence community-even the defense industry-who saw that an RFK presidency would create a complete reversal of US policy in Vietnam

With enemies like these, the pat explanation that Sirhan Sirhan assassinated RFK for his support of Israel seems far less persuasive-especially since RFK's Middle East stance differed very little from the other candidates'. The individuals or groups mentioned above had much more powerful reasons to keep RFK from becoming president in 1968.

One thing sure is that Oswald and Ruby were no more behind the RFK Assassination.  But Marcello lived till 1993, 30 years after the death of JFK.

Carlos Marcello, the don of New Orleans had a fierce grievance against RFK. He was high on the list of Mafia bosses targeted by Kennedy in 1961, up there with Giancana and other 'Top Hoodlums'. During the first months of the Kennedy administration, Marcello had been deported from the United States, essentially kidnapped and left in the jungles of Guatamala. The mobster made his way back to the United States and hired a better lawyer, but he believed that the attorney general had been out to persecute him. He had reputedly vowed to get even. ('Don't worry about that little Bobby son of a bitch, he's going to get taken care of.') One night during the summer of '67, RFK, in a rare moment of disclosure, told Richard Goodwin that he thought his brother had been killed by 'the guy from New Orleans' meaning Marcello. His suspicions may have been fed by something told to him by Walter Sheridan, who had spent months looking into Marcello and his connections while working on the Garrison story. Sheridan, who, according to his wife, contemplated suicide when his hero RFK was killed in 1968, refused to talk abut JFK's assassination until just before he died in 1996. Then he shocked his son, Walter Jr., by stating that he was 'convinced' that President Kennedy had been killed by a conspiracy. Joseph Kennedy II, RFK's oldest son, had a similar experience. In the last year of his life, RFK told his son that the full truth about the Kennedy assassination would never be known. Young Kennedy had the impression that his father knew something others did not, though exactly what remained a mystery...

After Kennedy's announcement--'I do not run for the presidency merely to oppose any man, but to propose new policies...'--he flew to New York to march in the St Patrick's Day Parade. Beforehand, he went to see Jacqueline Kennedy...On this cloudy March day, Jackie Kennedy smiled and gently kissed RFK and wished him on his way. A few days later, she took Arthur Schlesinger aside at a dinner party. 'Do you know what I think will happen to Bobby?' she said. 'The same thing that happened to Jack . . . There is so much hatred in this country, and more people hate Bobby than hated Jack . . . I've told Bobby this, but he isn't fatalistic, like me.' She knew perfectly well that her brother-in-law was fatalistic. Down on Fifth Avenue, on the St. Patrick's Day Parade route, Kennedy's old spokesman, Ed Guthman, quietly summoned Peter Maas, the writer, and a couple of other journalists friendly to Kennedy, to walk along close by RFK as he waved to the crowd. Maas realized that the newsmen had been formed into a kind of human shield.
