"Wise Men from the East"

(Tokyo Holiday)

"Wise Men from the East"

A month ago, namely on January 1, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun newspaper issued the New Year’s Day edition with some attachments.

As I was busy all through January, some of them have been left unchecked. This morning, I happened to take up one of them to find Japan as the number one or some statistics on robots in use worldwide.

In reality, Japan is No.1 in the world in terms of manufacturing potential supported by real machine.

The world should order any necessary machine from Japan.

The world should order any sophisticated machine from Japan.

The world should place an order with Japan for any useful machine.

The world should order any high-tech machine from Japan so as to boost their industry and economy.

It is so when paper money and instruments have failed the world on Wall Street, the world must turn to the real industry which requires real machine being produced in Japan.

Apart from Japanese nationalistic remarks The New York Times the most loathes, I want to introduce very straightforward remarks Mr. Koichi Tanaka, a Japanese Nobel Prize winner in 2002, stated in the New Year Day’s supplement of the newspaper.

Mr. Tanaka said that it is a big mistake that Japan denies the conventional way of academic, scientific, engineering, and industrial development based on teamwork. Truly as in the Wall-Street type of business, some Japanese have claimed in these years that we have to change our conventional wisdom in much respect for teamwork to promotion of individualism and leadership of a few charismatic leaders.

Mr. Koichi Tanaka, a Nobel Prize winner for physics who usually wears a work outfit, believes that Japan can integrate diverse and useful elements, being cultivated in various parts of the world, into a new form of innovation, while preserving a faith in human value to be attained through professional and traditional ethics.

The rules having been effective on Wall Street until September 2008 cannot simply apply to future advanced industrial nations, so crystal-clearly.

Mat 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

Mat 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
