"Your Righteousness Shall Exceed the Righteousness of the Scribes"

(The Leading Shinto Shrine of Musashi Country, so inscribed as Musashi is an old and ancient name of the Tokyo Area.)

"Your Righteousness Shall Exceed the Righteousness of the Scribes"

(One, 600, or 100,000 out of 1.5 Million in the Empires)

They reported this noon around Tokyo that President Mr. Barack Obama met with Mr. Henry Kissinger and Mr. George Shultz at the White House.

Their main agenda was reportedly demolition and removal of nuclear weapons from the world.

The issue they must have paid attention to is however the difference between the Roman Senate and senior influential politicians in the U.S.

---------------------------------
During the early republic, the senate was politically weak, while the executive magistrates were quite powerful. Since the transition from monarchy to constitutional rule was probably quite gradual, it took several generations before the senate was able to assert itself over the executive magistrates. By the middle republic, the senate reached the apex of its republican power.
...
Beginning with the first emperor, Augustus, the emperor and the senate were technically two co-equal branches of government. In practice, however the actual authority of the imperial senate was negligible, as the emperor held the true power of the state. As such, membership in the senate became sought after by individuals seeking prestige and social standing, rather than actual authority.

During the reigns of the first emperors, legislative, judicial, and electoral powers were all transferred from the Roman assemblies to the senate. However, since the control that the emperor held over the senate was absolute, the senate acted as a vehicle through which the emperor exercised his autocratic powers.

The first emperor, Augustus, reduced the size of the senate from 900 members to 600 members, and after this point, the size of the senate was never again drastically altered.

---------------------------------

It is said that at the height of its prosperity the Roman Empire had about 100,000 Roman citizens who could live quite independently and abundantly in terms of their economic life among 1.5 million residents in the capital of the Empire.

With this ratio applied to the U.S., there must be 20 million citizens who are living quite independently and abundantly in terms of their economic life, since there are 300 million citizens in the American Empire.

What I want to point out is that President Mr. Obama must serve 300 million American citizens.

Yet, Mr. Henry Kissinger and Mr. George Shultz, old political heroes since the era of Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan, would definitely like to be respected solely by richer 20 million citizens of the American Empire.

However, even poor citizens in Rome had a right to vote for the council, Roman senators, Roman noble men, and richer people could not neglect the presence of a million ordinary or poor citizens (so that they distributed bread and the circuses to the lower class of Roman citizens).

Similarly, President Mr. Obama must distribute something to the lower class of the American citizens.

For example, President Mr. Obama can distribute for free one evacuated house (due to foreclosure) and one Big-3 car to each homeless family in the United States.

Just take note of the fact that the Roman Empire had a long history to establish and consolidate its internal administrative and political structure.

For example, the Japan's largest opposition party the DPJ might still need time to enhance its internal management system to take over power from the incumbent ruling party the LDP and lead this second largest economy in the world Japan.

Or, the African American community in the U.S. might still need time to enhance its internal educational and disciplinary regime to take over the leading position from those such as Mr. Kissinger, Mr. Shultz, and the likes.

(To be continued…)
