"Shall Reward Thee Openly"

(Running Back to Tokyo from Tsukuba over the Great Tone River)

"Shall Reward Thee Openly"

Basically, an inanimate being that is not usually personified is not used as a subject in a sentence where a human being is involved in the Japanese language.

So, you do not often say that "this feeling will stay alive long inside me" if you feel like speaking a natural and traditional Japanese sentence.

You more often say that "I will hold this feeling alive long inside me."

(But, you can say naturally that "this feeling will supersede that feeling soon" even in Japanese.)

When Japanese children start to learn English (or any other Indo-European language), they usually feel it strange that an inanimate being so often plays a role of, and takes the position of, a subject.

In short, the distinction between a human being and an inanimate being is very strong, at least in expression feeling, in the Japanese culture.

Conversely, in the culture where a strong man uses a weak man as a slave or a tool, the sentence structure that allows for the use of an inanimate being as a subject in any context must be convenient.

In summary, it is suspected that ancient Indo-Europeans were more barbarian than Japanese and other North or East Asian races in this context.

Please check African languages on this topic, since Africans might look like black Europeans to North or East Asian races.

SECTION I: Cross of Lorraine

When Naoki Kojima, a notable Japanese authur who died on Sept. 14, 2008, escaped to and travelled France in the middle of 1980's as he got tired with hard work in Tokyo, he naturally visited a tomb of Charles de Gaulle (1890 - 1970) situated in a humble village.

On the surface of de Gaulle's gravestone set in a narrow graveyard, he found no inscriptions except the name and the years of birth and death of the deceased French President.

Yet, from a square in front of the church, he could see a cross on a hill far. The cross had two side bars, called the cross of Lorraine.

-------------
The Cross of Lorraine is part of the heraldic arms of Lorraine in eastern France. It was originally held to be a symbol of Joan of Arc, renowned for her perseverance against the English) invaders. Between 1871 and 1918 (and again between 1940-1944), the northern third of Lorraine was annexed to Germany, along with Alsace. During that period the cross served as a rallying point for French ambitions to recover its lost provinces. This historical significance lent it considerable weight as a symbol of French patriotism.

During World War II, the cross was adopted as the official symbol of the Free French Forces (French: Forces Françaises Libres, or FFL) under Charles de Gaulle.

Jesus Christ never told to adopt the shape of a cross as a symbol of His teaching. So, I do not respect the shape of a cross as a symbol of His teaching.

But, who, I can ponder, will be the one to invent another variation of the cross to defuse it and leave his/her name in history.

My recommendation to the Vatican is to stop using any symbols in its ritual.

Just pray like Muslims, since de Gaulle's gravestone had no inscriptions on its surface except the name and the years of birth and death of the French hero who fought against Hitler (1889 - 1945) in WWII who used a very ugly and deformed cross as his symbol.

SECTION II: Princess Diana and Marilyn Monroe

After the death of Marilyn Monroe on August 5, 1962, the United States of America had to suffer the Vietnam War with 50,000 soldiers killed, while millions of residents, mostly Buddhists, in the Indochina Peninsula lost their precious lives.

The Vietnam War for the U.S. ended in 1973 on President Nixon's initiative, that is, 11 years after the death of mysterious actress Marilyn Monroe.

After the death of Princess Diana on August 31, 1997, the United States of America has to suffer the War on Terror with 10,000 civilians and soldiers killed, while millions of residents in Mesopotamia and Afghanistan, mostly Muslims, have faced the danger of losing their precious lives.

President Mr. Barack Obama has stopped to use the term "War on Terror" in 2009, that is, 12 years after the death of mysterious Princess Diana.

Mat 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Mat 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
