One year ago, no one cared about the wife of Mr. Yukio Hatoyama, the new Prime Minister of Japan.
Seven years ago, no one cared about the wife of Mr. Barack Obama, the incumbent U.S. President.
Thirty years ago, no one cared about future-crown-princess Diana, a daughter of an English noble family, destined to be killed in a Paris car accident in 1997 as ex-wife of the Prince of Wales.
Yet, the story of Secretary Mrs. Hillary Clinton seems to be all the more going on, though she was the wife of the Governor of Arkansas in 1978, who is of course still her husband, though as ex-U.S. President.
SECTION I: New Eras
Still the Pearl Harbor attacks, Hawaii, by several aircraft carriers of the Empire of Japan in 1941 is the largest event that opened a new era for America in these hundred years.
It is so, since so many American citizens were critically influenced by this incident which however implied a serious lack of international knowledge among Americans.
Then, the JFK assassination in 1963 led to a new era that ended with the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Vietnam and the termination of the Apollo moon project.
The post-Vietnam War era continued until America's victory in the Gulf War in 1991. America pursued a large scale of computer/Internet application through 1990's to secure its dominance in economy and technology in the world.
In early 2001, America was enjoying its status as the sole superpower in the world, having defeated the Soviet Union in the Cold War and Japan in the money war.
Then the 9/11 terror occurred and changed the American social and political climate.
And in 2008, the Lehman Shock and the subsequent great financial crisis forced 20% of American workers to live in a state of unemployment, virtual-unemployment, or highly downgraded employment.
Accordingly, in 2009, America has the first African American president, though as many poor European Americans came to realize that they are equal to poor African Americans, which is apparently a sign of a new era.
In 2009, Japan has the first full-scale regime change between the two major parties, the DPJ and the LDP, through general election since 1950's.
So, it is no wonder that something new or horrible can happen to all the people concerned.
Yet, the word of God never changes and passes away.
