"a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock"

Chinese-Like Tuesday
(Chinois Mardi)

In 1933, Hitler introduced a special measure to help youths get married.

His regime started to lend money equivalent to half-a-year's wages without interest to youths who married anew.

This scheme resulted in a remarkable 20% rise in the number of marriages along with a 20% increase in the birth rate.

The financial source for this scheme is funds obtained from selling public bonds whose amount of issuance was carefully calculated by a genius economist.

So, what is a lesson? Secret support by the Christian Church?

(To make sure, I understand that all of you hate Hitler, which I respect. Let Hitler be judged by the God!)

SECTION I: Census 2010 in China

Historically "India" means a vast area now occupied by India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, even if Sri Lanka is excluded, as the British Empire colonized them all.

In the ancient era, the population size of great India was twice larger than China's, according to a theory. It was around 1600 that China came to have more population than great India's. As of 1950, China had 540 million population while great India 460 million.

China will hit peak with 1.46 billion population in 2030, while great India will continue to expand its population to 2.17 billion around 2050.

But, how can you prove accuracy of these numbers, though the largest scale of a census in human history is now being taken in China?

It is expected that there will be also a huge error in this nationwide counting in China. Probably, a 10% error will be the norm for any statistics in China, especially involving privacy of people, businesses, public servants, the military, and politicians.

A Head Count to Reveal China's Secrets

On Nov. 1, more than 6 million government workers will go door-to-door in China asking residents to fill out census questionnaires. For 10 days they will scour 31 provinces, 330 cities, 2,800 counties, and 680,000 villages to find out the true composition of the 1.3 billion population.

...The most daunting challenge will be getting accurate numbers for migrant workers, the uprooted rural Chinese who move ceaselessly between village and city looking for work. Estimates of the migrant population range from 140 million to well over 200 million.

...Ten years ago the vast majority of Chinese worked for the government, either as civil servants or in one of tens of thousands of state enterprises. Today many more Chinese work in the private sector and are less inclined to open up when Beijing comes knocking. Many fear revealing too much could catch the attention of the tax bureau or the police (underpayment of taxes is common).

...With more Chinese having children in defiance of the one-child rule, the mainland now has perhaps millions of unregistered children, mostly in rural areas. People are loath to own up to the real size of their families, especially when fines for extra children can cost several months of a family's income.

...Foreign investors are also eager to glean insights from the census. With some 13 million new urban residents every year, the census is expected to reveal that close to 45 percent of Chinese live in cities, up from 36 percent in 2000.

SECTION II: India Lobby

India is trying hard to influence U.S. Senators and Congressmen.

Forget the Israel Lobby. The Hill's Next Big Player Is Made in India.By Mira Kamdar

...The answer is that the India lobby is now officially a powerful presence on the Hill.

...According to a recent MIT study, Lockheed Martin is pushing to land a $4 billion to $9 billion contract for more than 120 fighter planes that India plans to buy. "The bounty is enormous," gushed Somers, the business council's president.

...There are now some 2.2 million Americans of Indian origin -- a number that's growing rapidly.

...Like many politically engaged Indian Americans, Puri has a deep regard for the Israel lobby -- particularly in a country where Jews make up just a small minority of the population. "A lot of Jewish people tell me maybe I was Jewish in my past life," he jokes. The respect runs both ways. The American Jewish Committee, for instance, recently sent letters to members of Congress supporting the U.S.-India nuclear deal.

It is not any secret linkage between modern Judaism and Hinduism but the position against Pakistan that has enhanced mutual trust between Israelis and Indians.

Yet, the modern nation Israel is not an enemy of the rival of India, namely China.

SECTION III: China Lobby

China is trying hard to influence U.S. Senators and Congressmen after its successful efforts on the White House.

China's lobbying efforts yield new influence, openness on Capitol Hill

...For years, as China steadily rose to global economic and political heights, it all but ignored the U.S. Congress, with outreach to American lawmakers left to friends in the business community. But now China has launched a multimillion-dollar lobbying effort so effective that it is challenging the heralded efforts of nemesis Taiwan.

...Zhou Wenzhong, China's avuncular ambassador, has visited about 100 senators and representatives in their districts during his four-year-old tenure in Washington. But he said it wasn't simply lobbying and shoe-leather efforts that have helped China's image in Congress.

...Last year, China opened a $200 million citadel of an embassy overlooking Van Ness Street -- showcasing its rising fortunes and its focus on Washington.

...From 2005 to 2009, China for the first time hosted more U.S. politicians and congressional staff members than Taiwan, according to LegiStorm.com, a congressional watchdog. China has also tripled the amount it spends on lobbying firms, including such powerhouses as Patton Boggs and Hogan & Hartson, since 2006 -- although it continues to be outspent by Taiwan.

...Faleomavaega partly credited China's improved lobbying for the shift. "Our friendliest allies -- Germany, Great Britain, France and Japan -- know how to work the system," he said. "China is just trying to catch up."

China-gate is now a remote memory since it was 10 years ago that Mr. Bill Clinton left the White House.

Yet, China cannot buy minds of American voters, since most of them are not so liberal or progressive or otherwise anti-Japanese like some staff members of The New York Times.

According to a theory, the city Ur around which Abraham was born is another Ur situated in north of Mesopotamia or near city Harran which was in the north of today's Baghdad .

Anyway, a question is whether or not it was necessary that the clan of Abraham had lived under the influence of the Sumerian Civilization.

What I think is it is a great insult to the Sumerian Civilization if we neglect its influence on Abraham.

And, there is a kind of crazy theory some Japanese support that ancient Japanese people had a mysterious linkage with ancient Judaists, namely the clan of Abraham, so that ancient Japanese people had a mysterious linkage with Sumerians. Specifically, some argue that when Sumerians disappeared around 2000 B.C. or some Hebrew tribes disappeared around 722 B.C., their descendants secretly travelled to Japan to help ancient Japanese develop great earthenware civilization called Jo-mon.

My standpoint is that Sumerians belong to a certain ancient language group from which various languages today used by Northern Asians, including Japanese, diverged and developed, though ancient Tibetans and Chinese did not belong to the said language group.

In other word, Sumerians had common ancestors with North Asians (including Japanese).

Accordingly, racially genuine Israelis of today are closer to Japanese than to Indians and Chinese.

You may be proud of having a Japanese friend as much as a Judaist friend.

Incidentally, I will not go around Yokohama this weekend, though some business looks like thriving around the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) forum.

The lowest sensible temperature tomorrow in Tokyo might be, reportedly, a freezing point. Bonne nuit!

Rom 11:8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

Rom 11:9 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:

Rom 11:10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.
