"but thy disciples fast not?" - (News of Japan & Judaists)

Tokyo

CHAPTER I: Good News for Japan

1) The total export/import trade amount of Japan with China reached a record $300 billion in 2010. The share of China among Japan's trade partners accounted for a record 20%.

The total amount of the U.S.-China trade was also around $300 billion in 2010.

2) The U.S. economy looks like entering an upward trend, though its 9%-level unemployment still continues.

CHAPTER II: Bad News for Japan

1) China is estimated to have 200 stealth jet fighters in 15 years.

2) The Florida State, USA, has cancelled its plan to introduce a high-speed train system.

CHAPTER III: Jewish Wife of FM of Empire of Japan

A foreign minister of the Empire of Japan had a German wife who was a Judaist.

Shigenori Togo (10 December 1882 - 23 July 1950) was Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Empire of Japan at both the start and the end of the Japanese-American conflict during World War II. He also served as Minister of Colonial Affairs in 1941, and assumed the same position, renamed the Minister for Greater East Asia, in 1945.

Togo married a widow of a German architect in Tokyo in 1922. It is said that she happened to be a Judaist.

Even today, only a few, or several at most, native Japanese are believed to have ever converted to Judaism without a need arising from their marriage with a Judaist.

In addition, I suppose no Americans know that the Foreign Minister of the Empire of Japan at the time of the Pearl Harbor Attack had Jewish-German wife.
