Fractions of East Half of Fukushima Prefecture

Daily results from measuring radiation at various points in Fukushima Prefecture and other parts of Japan, including Tokyo, are made public over the Internet in Japan.

Indeed, some locations in Fukushima Prefecture still indicate 46, 24, 15, 10, or 5 micro sieverts per hour, which are 365 to 44 milli sieverts per year. (Receiving 100 milli-sievert radiation can increase a possibility of cancer as much as passive inhalation of cigarette smoke.) But, those locations are limited in an limited area in the specific direction from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.

And, between Fukushima Prefecture and Tokyo Prefecture, there are Tochigi Prefecture, Ibaraki Prefecture, and Chiba Prefecture.

People live as usual in Fukushima City, 80 km northwest of Fukuhsima Daiichi, and the commercial center of the prefecture Koriyama City, 80 km west of the nuclear plant, as I have confirmed it today.
