Being Young and Not Obese: the Key to Conquering the Corona-Pandemic

To suppress corona-viruses, T cells generated in bone marrow and led to the thymus for further development play a key role.  (However, in the process of development, 95% of T cells are cast out as disqualified in the thymus.)  Aging of the immunity system, which decreases immunity of our body, is mostly ascribed to aging of T cells.

The thymus becomes the largest when one is at teenage.  The amount of newly produced T cells in the thymus at one's 40s is one hundredth of those produced in his newborn period.  Accordingly, immunity by T cells at one's 70s decreases to 10% of the level in its prime around the age of 2 years.   The degree of this decrease is larger in "naive T cells" than in "memory T cells" with memory of past viruses.  Therefor old people are vulnerable to new viruses they have never experienced.

However, calorie restriction is effective for prevention of atrophy or contraction of the thymus caused by aging.  Calorie restriction is generally known to have effect for prevention of aging of mammals.  It suppresses fatty change in the thymus, leading to prevention of naive T cell decrease due to aging and thus strengthening the capacity to resist infection.

Corona-viruses response to T cells through a process similar to that of HIV viruses.  Therefore patients with less T cells need to be taken to early emergency medical care.

So, it is no wonder that the U.S. with many obese persons has many victims of corona-viruses among old people.   Being young and not obese is the key to conquering the corona-pandemic especially in America.

Especially, calorie restriction seems necessary for old men so as to have a small appetite.  Specifically, it is recommended since the glycolytic systems using energy taken from foods lower their activity in old men but the mitochondrial systems using oxygen come to play a major role in energy generation in their bodies.  So, it is natural for old men to come to have a small appetite, because they can get energy from mitochondria in their cells rather than from foods.

Christ Jesus must have modified His body so that His body could take more energy from the mitochondrial systems of His body than the glycolytic systems needing foods when He was tempted by Satan in wildness for 40 days.  As a result, He must have been able to travel across Palestine taking few foods.

So, Christ Jesus said that the body surpassed foods.
Do not think about what you want to eat!

John 9    King James Version

29 We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.
30 The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.
31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.
33 If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.
