"whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire"

Politics, Economy, & War

Secretary Mrs. Hillary Clinton arrived at Tokyo today, a very hot day for May.

The Governor of the Bank of Japan, Mr. Shirakawa, said in a news conference that the Japanese economy is on the road to recovery at a steady pace.

But, the issue is what would become of the world No.2 economy if another No.2 economy suddenly emerges.

The imbalance between the scale of the Chinese economy and its average income level has generated a great deflation pressure on Japan, resulting in a huge decrease in tax revenues.

However, no economists in the world seem to be able to understand this truth between the Japanese economy and the Chinese economy.

Indeed, Beijing could be hotter than Tokyo if it ends its short spring after long winter.

SECTION I: Core of IT Industry

There are some concerns among Japanese elites as to whether Japan can cope with the American IT industry in the 21st century.

In terms of hardware, Japanese makers as leading players would tie up with American software/service companies, as so wished by American partners.

(For example, Sony and Google:

However, in terms of software and systems, American companies are dominant.

Indeed, it is unthinkable that the U.S. Government and the U.S. military/security sectors will use operating software made by a Japanese company.

The U.S. Government and the U.S. military/security sectors will never use Japan-made OS instead of Windows OS or Mac OS.

The U.S. Government and the U.S. military/security sectors will never use Japan-made search engines instead of Google or Yahoo.

The American owed its victory over the Empire of Japan in WWII to its advanced electric interception technologies, cipher-breaking technology, and high-speed computing.

This tradition still lives in the American IT industry.

As computer programs are mostly written in English, the Internet codes are mostly written in English, and various IT standards are written in English, America has far stronger advantage in this sector than Japan has.

Conversely, to really compete with Microsoft, Apple, Google, Yahoo, etc., Japanese and Asian businesses have to study not only English but history.

Today, America's dominating position is secured more by software and systems than by hardware, if not by culture. And, the Internet is not one hardware or software product. It is a system of systems based on those products. And, this paradigm of industry is unique to the European/American civilization, since it is very structural.

Accordingly, to really compete with Microsoft, Apple, Google, Yahoo, etc., Japanese and Asian businesses have to study not only English but culture, since its functionality is very Western/American.

Yet, it is easier for Japanese or Asian elite businessmen and engineers to simply adopt American way of thinking and working rather than to create a new leading culture in the IT sphere of the 21st century.

But, Islam and the Buddhism are not necessarily obstructive factors for development of computers and the Internet, as the Japanese language is not.

SECTION II: Crude Oil & The Empire

Before the end of WWII, the Empire of Japan controlled a nation called Manchukuo, presently three northeast provinces of China.

Japanese elites tried hard to find oil fields in Manchuria, in vain. It is after WWII that the famous Daqing Field was discovered by the Chinese communist government between the Songhua river and Nunjiang river in Heilongjiang province.

Before the end of WWII, the Empire of Japan included a southern half of Sakhalin as its territory, though it is presently occupied by Russia.

Though there were big oil/natural gas fields in the northern half of Sakhalin, Japanese elites before WWII did not realize significance of those natural resources while importing oil from America. The Empire of Japan had a special right to import crude oil from northern Sakhalin through an agreement with the Soviet Union, but the Empire waived the right as it signed the Japan-Soviet Nonaggression Treaty in 1941, leading to more reliance on American oil, ironically.

If the Empire of Japan had had full information about oil/natural gas fields in Manchuria and the Sakhalin Island (Karahuto in Japanese) to utilize it fully, it would not have been drawn into war in the Chinese mainland in 1937. There must not have been the Pearl Harbor Attack in 1941, either.

*** *** *** ***

If you have any boss who is more foolish than you, let him act just like a boss.

Serving a fool who happens to be your boss is a great training for you to learn how to realize peace in society, a nation, and the world.

Especially, if you are young, think that your only boss is the God, Allah, or Jesus Christ.

And, your holy mission is to make the number of such foolish bosses as small as possible.

In this context, a regime change or a position change is really needed in each ballot.

Indeed, without the 2001 9/11 Terror on the East Coast, Mr. George W. Bush would have ended as a kind of foolish boss for some in 2004.

Indeed, without the 2008 9/15 Lehman Shock on Wall Street, Mr. Barack H. Obama would have ended as a kind of foolish candidate for some in 2008.

If you happen to become a boss to anybody, you must have already mastered Politics, Economy, & War in your domain.

Remember the top management likes to choose a fool as a leader of workers, since fools blindly respect the top management.

This is not a hymn, though...)

Mat 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

Mat 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
